I started my day with this segment yesterday, and it pissed me off so bad, I wanted to reach through my computer and smack the smirk off that balding, fraggle toothed creep. (I was waiting for Morning Joe to start, and was subjected to this show.)

David Shuster is filling in for Tingle on Hardball, and he was discussing Sarah Palin’s comments regarding North Korea. His panel included Michelle Bernard and Matt Taibbi from Rolling Stone (you know, the magazine that worships Obama). Taibbi is so condescending, rude and just plain disgusting. (that explains his shifty resume and why his is a favorite of Bill Maher and Rachel Maddow.)

If someone could please explain to me what is so bad about reinforcing the significance of missiles hitting Alaska, as a part of the US?

And could someone tell Shuster he should probably go to the bathroom *before* he goes on the air. Seriously, what is up with that face? Bad burrito?

Anyway, Michelle Bernard does a good job of providing some reason to the two Palin hating primates in the segment. Even if she does not support Palin, she had to have been ticked off at the tone of Shuster and Fraggle (yes, I am being rude to Taibbi, but read the comments below. He takes personal jabs at people, so I figured I could too.)

The Obama image represents tolerance, intelligence, education, patience with the notion of compromise and negotiation, and a willingness to stare ugly facts right in the face, all qualities we’re actually going to need in government if we’re going to get out of this huge mess we’re in.

Here’s what Sarah Palin represents: being a fat fucking pig who pins “Country First” buttons on his man titties and chants “U-S-A! U-S-A!” at the top of his lungs while his kids live off credit cards and Saudis buy up all the mortgages in Kansas.

The truly disgusting thing about Sarah Palin isn’t that she’s totally unqualified, or a religious zealot, or married to a secessionist, or unable to educate her own daughter about sex, or a fake conservative who raised taxes and horked up earmark millions every chance she got. No, the most disgusting thing about her is what she says about us: that you can ram us in the ass for eight solid years, and we’ll not only thank you for your trouble, we’ll sign you up for eight more years, if only you promise to stroke us in the right spot for a few hours around election time.

And props to Holder for dropping charges against Stevens. I don’t know if he is guilty or not, but if the case was crooked, then Holder did the right thing.

It had to hard to watch Hardball. I can’t stomach it. All I have to do everytime I think of watching something on NBC or MSNBC is remind myself that I’m watching General Electric TV. My family knows its not allowed in my house. Schuster’s show got cancelled? Halleluja!

Wow…Taibbi has some serious issues regarding the female. Such vile hatred and insults. It’s ok to disagree with someone’s views but to use so many sexually laced remarks and insults. He’s a sick ass.
I don’t watch MSNBC because this is the kind of garbage they have own. Others shouldn’t either. If they have no viewers, they’ll have no advertising dollars-NO MORE MSNBC.

I really wish you would take a collective look in the mirror and realize that the insulting, sexist, petty attacks you condemn (in defense of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton) are the SAME attacks you perpetrate (against Michelle Obama). Attacking Michelle Obama for her clothes, her “fat ass”, her “thunder thighs”, her “ugly face”, calling her a tranny — SHUT UP WITH THE HATE.

How about this — condemn ALL such attacks, and don’t engage in them, even if other random assholes on the internet “started it.”

It may not have occurred to you, since you don’t seem all that bright, but Matt Taibbi has a column in a national magazine and is on national television where he spouts his misogynistic rants and vile commentary. A few comments on a blog, any blog are hardly comparable.

If some here do say thing that are nasty about Michelle Obama, such as critiquing her wardrobe that is obviously not the same thing.

I personally have had no respect for FLOTUS since her remarks about Hillary Clinton not being able to take care of her own house. That was below the belt and something no woman with integrity or class would have said. And that’s exactly what I think of FLOTUS,no integrity or class. Not being an Obamacrat I don’t have to worship at the feet of the “Mommy-In-Chief” if I don’t want to. And I don’t.

If you can read the comments of Taibbi above and equate them with “thunder thighs” and “fat ass” and wardrobe critiques then you have a serious comprehension problem. But then if you are an Obamacrat that’s a given.

I’m not defending Taibbi — I’m pointing out the obvious hypocrisy from this crowd when it comes to the defense of Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, etc. when they are subjected to sexist attacks, AND YET, this very same crowd engages in the same OR WORSE attacks on Michelle Obama.

I didn’t equate Taibbi’s comments with the vile personal attacks on Michelle Obama — the noquarter attacks are, in fact, worse. Taibbi has never called Sarah Palin a “tranny”, for example.

Hillary and Palin have not engaged in criticizing other women. MEchelle did do that during the primary. She also recently made a snarky remark about Hillary after Hillary–as usual–was quite gracious to her after the election. We think she is the hypocritical one. We pretty much also criticize women, like those in NARAL, who have sold out to men who don’t deserve the attention they are getting and instead of supporting the women who should have been given attention and respect.

I have never liked the criticism of MEchelle for her looks or clothing choices. I really don’t care about those things. But what I do care about is a woman with the questionable things in her past now being considered as another American idol.

If it were up to me, MEchelle O and Oprah W. would not be a topic of any conversation. Palin and Hillary should be because they are indeed working in politics and not being superficial as MO and OW are–television talk show hosts and a FLOTUS trying to be Jackie O are not important enough to talk about unless they meddle where they shouldn’t, as both have and so deserve disrespect.

Big difference between Governor Palin and Michelle Obama. One is an elected official representing the soverign state of Alaska among the 50 United States of America.

The other is just the guy’s wife who followed him to Washington. She doesn’t even have to live in the White House or accept the position of First Lady; as you can tell from history, any female relative or volunteer can fill the position as White House hostess.

And the ex-lawyer certainly has a mind of her own because she decided to stay home rather than accompany her husband to the gathering marking the seventh anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack on New York City. But she sure didn’t mind using those “thunder-thighs” to run the fashion gauntlet at the G20, did she?

Your obsession with constantly comparing the woman who agreed to act as White House Hostess, Michelle Obama, with her husband’s two powerful political rivals makes one wonder if it is to elevate Mrs. Obama or to try to make Governor Palin and Secretary of State Clinton less equal to her husband’s position, especially since Clinton received more votes in the primary than he did.

Mrs. Obama can’t even compete against the likes of the celebrity lovelies like Angela Jolie who have done so much international charity work for children. The only contribution that I have read about (except for the photo op gardening thing) was to author a patient dumping bill for her last paid position. Even the First Lady her entourage tries to compare her to accomplished more in her life in her 30s than Michelle Obama has in her almost half a century.

Michele Obama isn’t running for office, so comments about her are just entertainment; plus we do get a bit tired of hearing Michele compared to Jackie Kennedy (I personally don’t get it). MSNBC is really hard to stomach, I can’t watch it. The commentators are all whiny ‘wanna be’ nerds. Comments about things she cannot change are too personal, but I would love to see Michelle

1) wipe the scowl off her face (shaping the eyebrows differently would do wonders)
2) walk & sit more gracefully and formally
3) learn proper protocol
4) give more thoughtful gifts
5) say positive things about America and show appreciation for all the breaks she’s gotten
6) buy several modern and lady like suits for her visits to heads of state

These are all things she can do–easily! She could have all the help she’d want, too. She’s in a role that is an huge honor and frankly, she’s not up to par. I am tired of the MSM trying to tell us she’s so awesome when she is obviously not. The fact that she represents the American people should be enough to make her want to improve as much as she can.

If that’s not reason enough, then the fact that she will make multi millions of dollars later (books, speeches, etc) because of this opportunity should motivate her. It is not too much for us to expect a lot more effort from her.

I watched as much as I could of Schuster and ditto for reading what Taibbi has said. Taibbi is trying to establish himself as the GE network “go to guy” if Sarah Palin returns to the national stage. Similar to that guy they count on to find a way to spew Hillary hate even if the subject is the Easter Bunny.

Governor Palin is one of us. It looks like there’s trouble in paradise between the Obama administration and the fauxgressive blogosphere.

Some of the leading liberal bloggers are privately furious with the major progressive groups — and in some cases, the Democratic Party committees — for failing to spend money advertising on their sites, even as these groups constantly ask the bloggers for free assistance in driving their message.

I guess they never learned the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition. Rule #3 states: “Never spend more for an acquisition than you have to”. The Obama administration understands that rule very well. Why should they spend their money on people that have been giving it away for free for him going on 3 years now? They didn’t really expect a payback for all their hard work in smearing fellow Democrats and the party’s most qualified candidate for president in a generation did they? Well I guess so.

“They come to us, expecting us to give them free publicity, and we do, but it’s not a two way street,” Jane Hamsher, the founder of FiredogLake, said in an interview. “They won’t do anything in return. They’re not advertising with us. They’re not offering fellowships. They’re not doing anything to help financially, and people are growing increasingly resentful.” (snip)

It’s bad enough to hear these a-holes whining about not getting their share of the money, but with such indignity! Didn’t they lie and make excuses for Obama every time his inexperience was showing? Didn’t they banish from the web all opposition to him when it looked like he didn’t stand a chance against Hillary in the primary? And didn’t they wholeheartedly bash rank and file Democratic voters every chance they could, just like he wanted? Now they expect Obama to be honorable and fair? Yeah. They should have gotten paid up front. Because they obviously understood rule #13 from the Ferengi, “Anything worth doing is worth doing for money”, they just forgot to get that money in advance. At least they didn’t do what they did for something as stupid as principle, or because it was the right thing to do.

You have to hand it to Obama’s money handlers though. These sites helped his campaign raise millions of dollars. And what did the Obama campaign do in return? Of course, take the money and run.

Really, what are they going to do, start shilling for the Republicans? Where you gonna go sweeties? Nowhere, that’s where. Now just get over it.

Taibbi has simply modeled himself on the present crop of journalist poseurs, who think making hateful, disrespectful comments is a viable substitute for critical analysis. Shuster is a disgrace. He should have been taken off the air permanently after his comments about Chelsea Clinton. Instead he got a two week suspension and whined how “unfair” it was. It’s obvious from the commentary in this clip that he learned absolutely nothing. Both these men have serious problems with women in power.

As far as Palin’s comments? I’m glad she made a strong statement on N. Korea. It remains to be seen if she’ll be able to convince voters of her national ambitions, but this sort of treatment by two grown men is disgusting.

I’m so glad Michelle Bernard got herself together and started pushing back against these jerks. There were too many female reporters who joined the gang-bang of Clinton and Palin last year.

And this is why I refuse to listen to MSNBC.

I stopped watching MSNBC and CNN long ago because I am not a masochist.
Just hearing about this latest vile attack on this lovely, strong woman makes me want to support her anyway I can. I received an email recently from Team Sarah to advise that her legal defense fund is in the works. As soon as it is up and running, I will be making a healthy donation. I am mad as hell and refuse to take it anymore.

As a woman I am appaulled at the personal attacks on and the disdain of this poor woman and hence by extention on all woman who are families, take care of themselves and their families, are practical and want to get a job done, adopt the classical/elegant look, and love their country enough to step up and take responsibility regardless of the cost to her.

I watch it often, and have seen maybe 3 stories on Palin in the past two months – and all of them brought about by Palin herself – she keeps talking and making news!

My best friend from my adolescent years living in England last year sent me an e-mail with a derogatory piece on Sarah. This was at the time when misogyny and double standard was at it’s height.
This friend thought I was still a democrat since that is what I was for years.
So I sent him back a response stating how I admire Sarah Palin and her values and that I was against Obama for all the reasons we see today.
I was rather curt in my response which satisfied my dismay at these types of attacks.

Since that time I have not heard a word from my friend and I believe now that our 40 year friendship is over.
At times of revolution one finds out who there real friends are and sides are taken and the country becomes even more polarized.
Obama and his minions think they have a revolution, however they are miscalculating and pushing the envelope against Traditional Patriotic Americans.
The real revolution begins in 2 years against those that were arrogant and nasty towards their own country and the good people that have built this great country.

I just took a quick look at the except of Mr Taibbi’s comments…as much as I could stomach and listened to Shuster and his two guests for a couple of seconds. Conclusion…these people are very afraid of Sarah Palin. They know very well that very many people take her very seriously. Their demeaning remarks certainly reflect more on themselves than on Governor Palin. I don’t care what they say; the woman has character. If she could take on corruption in State government and come out on top…that’s about all I need to know. Those kind of battles are not for the faint of heart. So just like the relentless onslaught of the Clintons during the 90s, I see this onslaught against Sarah Palin as an endorsement of her character. The more these media whores scream, the more support I will give Sarah Palin.

It’s easy to dismiss Schuster – he’s just an ignorant, arrogant asshole. No wonder his show failed.

But I didn’t think Matt Taibbi was so bad in this MSNBC piece — especially when compared to the histrionic remarks he made about Palin that are quoted above. I also dismiss anyone like him who perpetuates the myth that she’s a Theocrat — they’re simply uniformed and ignorant. I guess it’s to be expected he would never say anything favorable about a proudly-American conservative Christian, given he’s an atheist and chose to live, go to school and work in Russia. I’ve seen him on Bill Maher’s show several times where he comes across as a somewhat funny and neurotic closet case aiming to score points mainly with adolescent-minded male viewers. In this MSNBC piece though, he seemed more mature, even tempering his remarks –- foregoing his usual hysteria. Maybe he’s growing up, finally. Or maybe he’s just the usual hypocrite of today, happy and content now that he’s being rammed in the ass (to borrow his expression) by the current POTUS, who governs more like GWB than does Palin.

I admire many things about Sarah Palin but to be fair, I do agree she probably speaks out so often in order to keep her name in the news, which I consider shrewd on her part. The way her remarks are parsed though is always laughable. At least she’s understandable, unlike the nuanced (euphemism for inarticulate) POTUS.

What if Palin was merely referring to the sovereignity of Alaska as a state? At least ten states have already “declared” their sovereignity in recent months – seven others are contemplating doing so. Interesting that the states would deem it necessary to make such declarations, since state sovereignity is already addressed in the Constitution. One wonders if state governments, seeing the way the socialist winds are blowing, are merely taking care to emphasize their sovereignity in case of future clashes with the Federal government. Such clashes could include (and already have included) refusal of Stimulas Bill funds.
