I don’t know how anyone can call her a cold fish. I think she’s so funny and charming. Love her!

  • Retired

Personally, I wouldn’t have brought up the sniper affair if I were her. But I did like her comment on Chelsea.

it was risky — but it was good to make fun of herself like that – it deflects criticism when one does that (imho). Particularly if one is able to pull it off.

She has much better acting /comic skills than BO.

    (Hi, you!)

  • Hope

Women everywhere should be proud of our Hillary! Her unbeatable spirit, her stellar intelligence and her work ethic are so inspirational! What a role model for young women, middle aged women and elder women.

Imagine what Susan B. Anthony or Elizabeth Cady Stanton would be saying right now. They would marvel that finally a woman had her day. And it isn’t over either!

    YOU GO GIRL!!

  • http://www.dawnellesplace.com Dawnelle

    I agree 100 percent!

The more people SEE her the more genuine they realize she truly is and warm and friendly as well as totally FUNNY!

I find Obama cold, aloof and smug and I find his WIFE hateful and crude!

I would never call them Presidential material.

  • Hope

BO stinks all over! He has no sense of humor really. He’s far too arrogant to poke fun at himself because he’s got to keep up his image of superiority for his believers.

He’s such a snotty kid. He needs some hard lumps to humble him around the edges. Far too full of himself.

  • Barb

I loved the later part of the interview. Hillary packed a whole stump speech into like 3 minutes and sounded enthusiastic and engaging. On the other hand, BO on Hardball sounded charming as usual when bantering with Chris – but as soon as he started talking about the issues, he looked like he was going to fall asleep.

I can see now why my HERO Gen. Clark admires Hillary as much as he does!

She truly is a FIGHTER for GOOD and with GREAT ideas on how to move this country forward again.

True Grit and Tenacity with a pretty impressive MIND. Very engaging with the pubic. Totally Presidential!

  • Hope

I guess it is a lot of work carrying around that heavy ego.

You are so right. What I see often is we women are much harder on each other than we are on men. Many times mediocre men beat out superior women because we haven’t learned very well what men know about networking. They will circle the wagon of a complete dumbo. We on the other hand tend to thwart one another. But the truth is, we should celebrate successes of one another, because every time one woman breaks a barrier, she makes way for more of us.

There are men right now who would be in the fetal position if they had taken the hits Hillary has taken. Her strength and courage are admirable. As Maya Angelou said– in spite of all this, “I shall Rise”.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

Yes, we women have a lot to learn yet about that from men in higher positions.

I was just reading “HALPERIN’S TAKE: The Dangers Which Might Await Obama If He Makes Negative Attacks Central To His Campaign”
IMO – the ship has sailed on this one – there’s no “If” about it anymore. But, number five on his list is interesting.
“5. Early on, Obama pledged to fire anyone on his staff who engaged in the kind of personal attacks his senior advisers are now openly launching on a daily basis.”
I wish someone would ask him (at the next debate maybe?) why he hasn’t fired his whole campaign staff.

  • bert

“He needs some hard lumps to humble
    him around the edges.”

If we all keep working hard, donate $ to her campaign, and get the word out maybe we can give him a few lumps or two. We got rid of Randi Rhoades, so it is not out of the realm of possibility

Unfortunately the feminist movement has lost its steam somehow. Many of the younger women today do not understand the heart wrenching sacrifices made by their fore mothers.

And you are right about many men rolling up into fetal positions if they had stood there and taken the hits that Hillary has taken. And that precisely is why they feel so threatened. She’s a true powerhouse!

  • lifelong dem leaving party

so right, it’s women (or girls) who call me feminazi if i mention this issue. then they say hillary shouldn’t be president “just because” she’s a woman. i suppose her far superior qualifications don’t count “just because” she’s a woman…

  • Andy

She was awesome last night; pretty relaxed and came across really charming. I liked she called Leno on
    his nonsense about MI.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) appears on a 237-name list of possible witnesses.

A house apparently is just one thing Rekzo helped Obama with. It turns out that Edwin J. Gray the head of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board was coerced into calling off an investigation of Rezko by Obama and 4 other US Senators who had received campaign contributions from Rezko.

In addition to campaign contributions, Michelle Obama and her father had invested $359,100 in a Rezko shopping center in April 2006, a year before Obama met with the regulators. The Obamas sometimes accompanied by their daughters and baby-sitter, had made at least nine trips at Rezko’s expense, sometimes aboard his private jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Rezko’s opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. Obama also did not pay Rezko for some of the trips. It seems there is more to this Rezko thing than first appeared. Any politician who would attempt to cheat the system in this way does not deserve to be President.

So true, Hope. They weren’t there for the struggles that freed them to do most anything they want. It’s not their faults because they never got to “See”. Still, a complacency reigns and complacency is the tool of those would would whittle away at these rights. I see the Whittle in many ways, some subtle, some not so subtle. I think this is the major reason I oppose Obama so dramatically. His dismissal of women is a red flag to me. When I saw one of his supporters call Hillary supporters C***s, that was the last straw for me. And the little sh!t who yelled out Iron My Shirt to Hillary was the final coffin nail. A fish starts to stink at the head. You enable that kind of behavior as a leader, and the attitude rolls down hill. I have worked on many campaigns locally but never have I felt the anger and fervor I feel in this presidential race. I will do anything possible to defeat this sexist campaign one way or another. No woman deserves that kind of treatment, and especially not a brilliant, capable, hard working woman of strength such as Hillary.

    Who?

    I’m serious – I don’t know

Yes, it was so funny…It reminded me of the funny sketch Bush was doing, making fun of looking for the Weapons of Mass Destruction that weren’t there…
    Same idea…

Wrong, idiota. Next time, don’t disgrace the rest of us Latinos by using “Latina” as a username.

She was making fun of herself for making an honest mistake over telling a harmless story.

  • Kathy

    Kerry?

  • kenoshaMarge

Of course not. This dismissal of women’s rights is frequently by young women who have found “favoritism” by cuteness and are not smart enough to see that this will not, cannot last. When all you have to offer is a nice body and a pretty face the clock and gravity is working against ya honey.

The same clowns that have hysterical fits at the first thought, just the thought, of racism, don’t blink an eye at overt expressions of misogyny. Just having a laugh at the “girl’s” expense, don’t ya know. Lighten up sweetie, or you won’t get a job, a raise, a date or a husband.

Then there are the “girls” that think that getting implants is important. (Not talking breast cancer survivors.)

When enough women decide that having a mind like a steel trap is more important than “buns of steel” and that what’s between your ears is of more value than what’s in your bra, we will have won the war against women.

In the meantime, too many women are fighting for those that demean and diminish them.

And if you loathe being called “honey” and “sweetie” good for you. So do I and I did when I was young and suffered from appalling “cuteness” and when gravity had not reduced a nice rack to a couple of sad sacks.

Kerry’s one of them.(2004 Pesidental bid) And I am looking for the others…

So how did the facts shake down on the sniper story? I liked what HIllary said about 80 trips and several times in war zone/s and it all getting mixed up. Did the events really happen on some other trip/s?

There was a short thread at an Open Thread at TalkLeft, where someone had quotes from Lexis from media coverage at the time of the trip. Among other things it said the entertianers were not along on the more dangerous side trips.

Here’s the link to the 1996 press reports on the Bosnia trip.
    http://www.talkleft.com/comments/2008/3/23/14293/1085/131#131

Apparently she and the performers went to Tuzla in a cargo plane, then she made side trips in a helicopter to the more dangerous locations without the performers.

“But the highlight of her trip were visits to two fortified posts outside the U.S. base in Tuzla.

Riflemen rushed to the brush line as the helicopter landed and surrounded her as she walked into the post.”
Lexis – By RON FOURNIER, Associated Press, March 25, 1996

There is more at that TalkLeft link, too long to quote.

Wow. This is some scathing info…

Thanks for keeping us posted. This certainly explains the Kerry/Obama lovefest, doesn’t it?
