The Devolution of America (Obama) [Updated]

UPDATE BELOW:

UPDATE: Lest anyone wonder whence the message came, look no further than Obama’s king maker:

View more of Flineo’s videos.

  • Dawnelle

    Well that was weird. LOL

I’m seeing cross eyed – time for bed!

    KEEP FIGHTING HILLARY!!

  • chris

    Brilliant!

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

    Whoa!

  • HJD

That video is pathetic. What the hell are you guys trying to accomplish? This is borderline sick.

  • truthteller2007

But this country has devolved, and Obamamania is a symptom of that devolution, that debasement.

  • blobert

    Yeeee Haaaaa! Go, girl, Go!!!

  • blobert

bet you didn’t say that about the original anti Hillary version compliments of Obamaniacs.

  • blobert

in other words, what goes around comes around. Paraphrase: what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

  • Lorelynn

Brilliant video. The man is made of words and not actions.

I was writing a post the other day about what Clinton accomplished in her life before Bill made it to the White House and, of course, the list is significant. Then I went to compare it to Obama because I was pointing out that the guy didn’t really have any accomplishments since making editor of the Harvard Law Review. I went to Wiki to see what I could find, and even the campaign hadn’t gotten any accomplishments up. Basically, he graduated law school, went to work for a medium size firm in Chicago and never once stood out. He was never the lead attorney on an important case. he never won any precedent setting cases. He didn’t write any papers that changed legal thinking. He really did nothing of value. He was in the Illinois senate for five years, and despite his claims of post-partisan genius, he got nothing done while the Republicans controlled the State. Nothing. Once the Dems took over, Emil Jones gifted him with legislation and voila! he had a career!!

Considering how lucky he’s been in his life – being a Harvard graduate who is the son of a Harvard graduate and PhD and that married a Harvard graduate, you think he would have done something that benefitted other people. Nope. It’s not there.

Flineo is right – he’s all words. No action.

  • HJD

I’m for Hillary, but this video in no way gives support in the crucial debate against Obama’s candidacy. In my opinion it’s counterproductive and thus rather dumb.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

    Obama’s Goooooood.
    Hillary’s Baaaaaaaaad.

  • Patrick Henry

    Flineo..

I’m a Big fan..I get It..Sometimes you just gotta Plant the Seeds and see what Happens..some fall
on Good Soil.. The Bible doesn’t have to be the Only Thing thats cryptic..its still the Best selling Book in the World..

Your Videos remind me of “Left Behind”..

    Really Powerful Fileno..Well Done..

  • TeakWoodKite

Emil Jones gifted him with legislation and voila! he had a career!!

Except for one thing..his friendship with Rezko.

During those years of Re-Thug rule Obama was wheeling and dealin. sad.

  • Steve Jobs

What is productive then, HJD? Eyes wide shut?
He has not stood by and fought any key responsibilities or upheld his own mantra – from helping Chicago constituents, managing Afghanistan oversight, standing up against his own mentor’s (Wright) hate rants for 20 years, empowering voters of all corners. It is THE KEY issue: nominating an unqualified, inexperienced demagogue to the highest office in the land. It is dangerous. And it undermines America.

  • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

Man, those videos are creeeeepy, but Obamazoids, that’s what you all are falling for! That’s exactly what we’ve all been trying to tell you! Wake up before it’s too late!! This guy is a puppet. A Trojan horse sent from some of the slimiest folks imagineable. When you all start rambling about how he’s going to “change” things, you can never give a solid answer as to WHAT he’s going to change and HOW he’s going to change this mysterious thing!! You are being had! We’ve never claimed Hillary flawless or a saint, but she’s no fraud. Obama is…

  • Nobama

As I’ve told Flineo before, he’s just brilliant! That Axelrod piece is incredibly well done! I’d love to see that on FNC at some point.

The devolution video is an excellent concept piece and very cleverly done. Bravo!

    Ron

  • Hope

    Obama:

    “An empty headed haunting heard
    Proclaiming prophecies absurd”.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

    …waving to Sugar.

  • Hope

It is my feeling that he will sell our nation out under our noses. We who do not support this robot understand this completely, but there are those who do not have the necessary discernment to see and feel this atrocity. He is merely the head of the zit which has been building up for decades. What do we do with zits?

  • cdo

zomg, those videos are hawt! luv the 1984 feel!

  • Hope

    Truth hurts doesn’t it?

  • Nathan

That first video bothers me. Anytime you suggest Hitler or the Nazis it’s just counterproductive, at best.

I think it’s best to focus on rhetoric vs. actions, without the dramatics.

  • Hope

Okay now that second video got a little skewed on message. I thought the first one Devolution was better. Just my opinion.

  • bbln

flineo – absolutely brilliant. I watched this months ago, months before I read about Axelrod’s little shadow company, ASK – while I was still incredulously watching the groundswell of grassroots support for Obama – a groundswell which struck me as “something awful” and something missing.

And now I know what that was – that grassroots was manufactured, it was astroturf…and you knew it even then. And you knew that BO’s equally uncredible groundswell of money was rooted in these monied firms instead.

thank you for your vision, and your insights. We have been hoodwinked in the worst way.

  • BernieO

    http://campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/04/thats-what-i-like-about-me/index.html

This poll shows that white Democratic voters like Obama because
    a. He is going to solve our problems.
    b. He will get out out of Iraq.
    c. He makes me FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF.

You guessed it! Obama is the one who will boost our self esteem. I suggest everyone go post on the article.
Oh yeah, how great is it that huge numbers see him as honest and down to earth. Boy are they in for a surprise. (Could this be a reflection of media bias? Nah.)

  • Mule

So why is the girl throwing the sledgehammer wearing an Obama t-shirt if she wants to destroy Obama…let the riddle continue! Complete waste of my time and thanks for wasting more of it by making me post this…Idiotic Hill-raisers

  • Mike Howell

When Barack Obama meddled in the last elections in Kenya involving his cousin, his inexperience helped get people killed.

Barack Obama let his constituents freeze, so that he could continue to solicit “Pay to Play” and get a mansion from indicted Syrian national Tony “The Fixer” Rezko.

BO conived his way to the very pinnacle of the corrupt Daley machine.

Words mean only a means to an end for BO.

And that end is always cruel for the little guy or gal who stands in the way of the privileged Obamas in their quest to “Get Them Something”!

BO is better qualified for the Big House than the White House.

  • rjj

actually his MO qualifies him to be a Delay-Rove-Gingrich politicopath style Republican.

  • blobert

The first could also be a metaphor for MSM.
You should see all the hit pieces in the NYT today.
That paper has morphed into Daily Kos.

  • Melissa

I absolutely loved both of Flineo’s videos! Obama, with the help of the DNC and the MSM, is being foisted on our country.
    It’s is a nightmare!

  • TrollGG

what Hitler? what Nazi? are these “canned” comments?

  • TrollGG

Maybe she wanted her vote back.

  • Mr.Murder

During a break in the meetings, Angie York and Toni Reisinger, Oil City High School classmates and members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 1050, discussed why their union is backing Clinton as they grabbed a smoke outside the hotel.

“She wants to bring jobs back to Pennsylvania,” said York, 37, an aide at Polk Center, a state residential facility in Venango County for people with mental retardation. She and her husband, a steelworker, have three children, ages 14 to 20.

“Obama doesn’t care about Pennsylvania,” she said. “He doesn’t know what [Clinton] knows. We are a manufacturing state. I don’t think he has a clue what it’s going to take to bring jobs back.”

  • Vimes

Mule, the girl wearing the T-shirt represents a person betrayed and angry, wanting to save everyone from the mindnumbing. At least thats how I see it.

  • Marjorie

The video appeals only to emotions-dark, unbridled, not entirely coherent. It reminds me of the “dirty little war of the Argentinian generals”- night-time and fog, disarparacidos. How is this different from Randi Rhodes, CM, KO, and others who conjur up wells of hate and fear?
Let’s keep it rational, guys. Appeal to what HRC will do for the country.

  • http://speaktruth speaktruth

    Discernment.
    Good word.

  • http://speaktruth speaktruth

    Maybe you didn’t understand it.

    Or Obama.

  • Mary B

    Absolutely chilling. What powerful videos.

  • http://speaktruth speaktruth

I think a lot of us are seeing and fearing something a lot more sinister in this apparently innocent Obamamania and the way people are being manipulated.

    A few reasons:

The adulation of corporate media for a supposedly liberal or even progressive candidate. Did GE convert and become Democrats wanting more regulation of themselves?

The many reports of cheating and strong-arm techniques used to win the caucuses, including reports I have heard from Edwards supporters in Iowa, of people bussed in from Illinois, and being handed $250 after caucusing.

The fact that this has not been covered anywhere in the media. Check columns in Des Moines Register.

Same in Texas. Lying, bullying, cheating. Almost no coverage.

The list of his right-wing advisors who contradict what he says.

Contradictions of his words and his actions and votes.

Those words and speeches. Plagiarism? Demagogy?
There’s much more, too. Pay attention.

  • simon

flineo – absolutely brilliant. I watched this months ago, months before I read about Axelrod’s little shadow company, ASK

The problem is corrupt little people, men and women, get a little power, and think they’re players, when in actuality they’re nothing but a bunch of small time bumpkin hoods, from the stix.

I see guys like Axelrod, and I think, oh no, he’s crank’in up the Model T, another onslaught of boring, self obtuse template propaganda, from a man who can’t see anything but his own narcissistic ego, where, in Dave’s world, he’s a master of the information ops.

    Sigh.

There are so many other things we could be doing, but as long as those idiots like to pretend they can play, and do it within the arena of the US government, it’s a responsibility to expose them, and the trash, like Obama, they sell.

  • Flineo

    I plead guilty.
Had a moment of lapse, reacting to the anti-Hillary “Vote Different” attack video last year using the same Apple’s “1984″ theme. May be because of the 5 million viewers of that wildly popular video. Or may be because of the tens of thousand mostly derogatory comments. May be because it was featured on Huffington Post. May be because of the stark contradictions between Obama’s words and his actions. Lots of maybe’s… I was momentarily “inspired” to shout back. Please forgive.

PS: the girl wearing Obama T-shirt came from that video :)

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/04/05/the-devolution-of-america-obama/#more-2062 waldenpond

Are you trying to tell us we really aren’t going to get our Unity Ponies when it’s all done and over?

I keep donating to Clinton and keep sharing info on Obama. Thanks for helping with the second part.

  • Marco

The videos are heavy-handed for my taste – and that’s being kind. I enjoy a little levity when bagging on Barack Dukakis myself.

  • Salo

yeah its heavy handed. It should be ridicule.

The Mac advert could have been of anyone.

#2 It’s too sinister to be taken seriously.

  • jwrjr

To amplify a bit on something speaktruth said, the corporate intrests and the media jumping behind Obama are acting ‘out of character’. Since the one thing one can rely on is that people will always act in what they percieve to be their best interests, one has to ask “what so they think they will gain by supporting Obama?” The betterment of the country? Yeah, right …

  • simon

“Obama doesn’t care about Pennsylvania,” she said. “He doesn’t know what [Clinton] knows. We are a manufacturing state. I don’t think he has a clue what it’s going to take to bring jobs back.”

Oh, look, smart people, how refreshing.

  • simon

The list of his right-wing advisors who contradict what he says.

Typical misdirection, but it’s cookie cutter, nothing new here, from Obama.

LOOK at the mediocrity that is Wall Street, these days.

LOOK how BAD, how stupid and inept the business people are, the MSM journalists, this whole culture of narcissism is also self destructive, too.

So, once you see past the McDonald’s Big Mac that is big business,(funny, I keep seeing a big mac with skinny legs trying to escape in the back seat of a limo, somewhere, like the hot dog on those wienerschnitzel commercials, I digress, sorry) there really isn’t anything to be afraid of, they are their own worst enemy.

  • allimom99

    I always wanted a pony…

  • The Gringo’s Wife

Me thinks thy goose underestimated our gander.

This video is brilliant. And the Obamabot agrees with me as his mind too went straight to that award winning creepy anti-Hillary video.

    Brilliant I repeat!

  • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

Fantastic, Mr. M. You always find the best source material.

  • The Gringo’s Wife

Oh Flineo! Your work is simply felliniesque!

Those that criticize are missing the power of subliminal visual art as one of the true forms of political expression. For the Obamabots: satirical cartoons in motion.

All if fair in love and politics. In this race, it gives new meaning to “tit for tat.” Don’t you agree? (heavy snick)

  • simon

#2 It’s too sinister to be taken seriously.

    If you say so.

  • The Gringo’s Wife

You think Obama is just another run-o-the-mill spoiled baby boomer?

    “Say it ain’t sooooo! Your love… is a … heartbreaker…”

I have wondered about the state of our country, the ability of the MSM to literally herd the masses to a direction they set, the gullibility of the American People where a simple video such as this one can and does, in fact, sway opinion. The stock market, the value of the dollar in the face of a new Buck in town the Euro …

I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in the hungry empty pocket that leads men to do the worst of worst without compunction. And that worse that the man with an empty pocket willing to do whatever, is the man with the pocket full of money obsessively stealing and cheating to keep that pocket full.

I am not much of a conspiracy theorist but I do believe that conspiracies do exist. I may not go to the extreme, but there is always a nugget of truth to be found.

    I had watched Zeitgeist — http://zeitgeistmovie.com/
    – about a year ago or so. I did not accept all of the ideas proposed in the movie, but some historical facts are highly instructive, especially considering Bush is proposing new powers for the FED as a result of a housing crisis the FED created!

The movie is long but worth the watch. Look for the explanation of how the collapse of the stock market on Black Friday was orchestrated, by whom and how that led to the formation of the FED.

It is an old trick. Create a “situation” that scares the masses into accepting radical laws that benefit corporations or people. It has also been used to start wars. Hello? McFly? Know much about how WWII came about? How it was opposed by the entire nation until Pearl Harbor? That the day AFTER THAT at least a million men went down to the recruiting office? Overnight! I believe Bush Co. was counting on 9-11 paying out for them in similar way.

It goes very much to this video of the devolution of America.

  • simon

what so they think they will gain by supporting Obama?” The betterment of the country? Yeah, right

For the republican gears, yes, your cynicism is justified
    .
But take someone like Jann Werner, who is looking at Obama, and himself, as the new great white hope, cutting edge, rock and roll, a status symbol like a bowl of cocaine, or a gulfstream three.

And men like Werner, or even David Geffen, are financially competitive, among billionaires.

Even Microsoft, and Bill Gates, and Soros, where do they stand with Obama?

It isn’t ALL subterfuge, sometimes it’s just blind megalomaniac vision.

They ALL want to be king makers, hip with the kids, socially, and culturally relevant, as opposed to “important 30 years ago, but still has a lot of money.”

They want to do everything, but work.

Anyone who truly cared about the US, and understood the scope of the work the next President is facing, would make it his business to knowwhat a half wit charlatan Obama is, this brother they’re trying to cynically pawn off on the American people, to further enrich themselves in some cockamamie scheme, or validate their status as “world’s most powerful men.”

I wonder where the google boys are in all of this?

Soros is a good business man, how could he not know about Obama, how could he allow himself to be bamboozled, after writing of his passion to keep America great?

Keep America great, and strong and competitive in the hands of a small time hood, like Obama?

    Not gonna happen.

  • simon

don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in the hungry empty pocket that leads men to do the worst of worst without compunction. And that worse that the man with an empty pocket willing to do whatever, is the man with the pocket full of money obsessively stealing and cheating to keep that pocket full.

It has been my experience, reading, the people who would do things such as you mentioned, are, by and large, idiots.

Obama, for all his education, does not strike me as particularly intelligent, or educated, even.

Same for a guy like Cheney, or Norquist.

All these grand plans, and access to the power structure, but no real intellect to strategize, and execute.

For instance, we had strict laws governing the media, for many years.

Reagan knocked most of those down, and we ended up with this trite useless garbage we see today.

So now we need to bring the laws back, if we want to insure America stays vibrant.

Without those laws say, the country fails, and so do world economies, and the money stores of the men who would cheat, and steal…

And there are smart people, powerful people, who can understand this, still.

Wall Street is a farm of mediocrity.

Remember that song “there’s a hole in the bucket, dear liza, dear liza?”

    Wall Street is Liza.

  • jwrjr

You’ve done a good job of making the point that I was trying to imply. They are supporting Obama because of things they ‘personally’ expect to gain. The rest of the country is on it’s own (another legacy of the cheney/bush regime).

  • http://johnbrownks.blogspot.com john brown

so much effort squandered on a dead cause.

    she’s toast, kids.

too little, too late for you.

you may now choose between mccain and barack.

either way is probably better than the monster, anyway.

i hope making and watching this video is cathartic for the monster-backers. otherwise the effort is completely wasted.

    john brown

  • Stewie

    You wish, numbnuts.

  • The Gringo’s Wife

I agree with you. Though I do argue that “cunning” is not a byproduct of education or intelligence. Also, I propose that there are both, random idiots and then there are the “professionals.”

Our world is run by such men. I don’t subscribe to the notion that an elected leader in fact is leading or that he is truly in “power.” The real decisions are made by those with the sufficient power, the real money, the real monopoly. Any names come to mind? Murrrr… can’t say it. Whatever you do don’t say it three times in a row.

Politics is part of the act played upon all of us by what is now a corporate run media presently struggling to control the blogosphere.

And why we love places like No Quarter.

I love that old saying: “the revolution will not be televised.”

  • The Gringo’s Wife

    Hey! I spot a slogan!

    Obama! The nutnumber!

  • Marjorie

Why all the talk about Obama? So he’s a screw up. Why concentrate on him and make him into a film star? Forget him.
Hillary will be the winning candidate and the next president. And the Dixie Chicks will be her State Department.
