too stupid for network news

I don’t know the names of the two women in this video, so I don’t know their resumes, but if they are journalists they need to turn over their credentials right now. They have lost ALL credibility, and should never be taken seriously, or given a platform in the news, again. Ever.

Red head: “I think it was a….a leaning over.”

Blonde: “He was clearly leaning over to shake his hand. They idea that Barack Obama would bow to him is SO ridiculous…. A person is sitting down and you lean over to shake their hand, you are not bowing…The person is sitting down and you…”

Oh ye of little intelligence…. when someone is NOT sitting down, and you bend over at the waist in front of them, you are in fact bowing.

The FOX panels goes on to discuss this in the Behind the Break segment, and they continue the argument that it is ridiculous that Obama, as POTUS, would bow to him.

But that is exactly what Obama did. Why would they not admit it? The blonde insists the King was sitting, and Obama would never bow to him.

It’s bad enough that Gibbs lied about this, scoffed at the question, and dismissed the blunder, but for *journalists* to spread the lie is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

This is the kind of thing we can expect from msnbc and CNN, and this is why their ratings are so much lower than FOX’s. But FOX needs to remove these two liars from their lineup. They are irrelevant, and are either too stupid or too biased to ever be listened to, again. And having them on future segments lowers the credibility of the station.

This just proves, to me, that if they are SO willing to LIE about something so simple, they will lie about anything. And I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of the media lying to us.

This story could have been killed days ago, had Gibbs given some kind of honest explanation, like Obama had met the King earlier in the day, and they were just joking around. Or that they know each other and had met years ago, through some friend of Obama’s. Or that Obama was overcome with excitement on meeting a King (but he refuses to bow to women)… SOMETHING, ANYTHING is better than a LIE. A lie so ridiculous, Gibbs can’t even say it with a straight face.

And for what it’s worth, I think Gibbs lost ALL credibility on this one as well. Obviously he won’t get fired for it, because he was doing it for Obama. But, I will no longer believe a word he utters, or stutters. And I ask again, why the lie?

The blonde woman from FOX just makes this more laughable by insisting that Obama would never bow to the King, since he DID. And the King is NOT sitting down.

Susan sent me this story, and the headline is hilarious:

How Do You Say Faux Pas in Austrian? by Kathleen Parker

(One thing that really bothers me is the media’s refusal to hit Obama on his faux pas’ without also taking a whack at Bill, or Hillary or Bush. Can’t we just criticize Obama when he deserves it, without constantly running with the *But…but…but Bush/Bill/Hill did it too!!* meme. Bush was following PROPER protocol when he held hands with King Abdullah. Like it or not, it was protocol, and a sign of equal respect and friendship. Bowing is a sign of submission, and offensive to King Abdullah: “I have tremendous distaste for such matters because I believe that one only bows before one’s God, not before another human being.”)

Anyway, back to Kathleen’s piece, she calls it what it was, a bow.

“It is also not in our DNA to bow to monarchs or to act beholden to anyone save God. We kneel before no human. Yet, occasionally, we are required to behave politely in countries that still cleave to their pomp and circumstance.

For such purposes, we have hirelings to instruct us in questions of protocol. We wonder lately where they are. Who didn’t tell Michelle Obama that one doesn’t put an arm around the queen of England, no matter how endearing we renegades might find it? Who didn’t tell the president that the United States does not bow, especially not to the rulers of countries where women are less valuable than sheep?”

Whatever their other flaws, the Kennedys could be counted on to mind their p’s and q’s in public. If there were any question, Baldrige — officially White House social secretary and chief of staff to Jacqueline Kennedy — was there to fill in the blanks.

Which is to say, you do as the Romans. Or the Austrians (who speak German, not Austrian, Mr. President). That doesn’t mean we compromise our own values in the process. Hence Rule No. 1: Americans don’t bow to monarchs.

I’ve now watched the tape of Obama’s bow a dozen or more times. It is simply not possible to accept an anonymous [she missed Gibbs' lie, apparently] White House official’s insistence that Obama was merely reaching down to take the king’s hand and had to bend over because of the height difference.

Not to name drop, but I’ve met the king and I’ve met the president. We’re not talking Gulliver and the Lilliputians. Even if Obama needed to reach down for the king’s hand, why not let the king raise his hand of his own volition? When I shook hands with the king, he seemed to know what to do.

To any objective observer, Obama’s bend from the waist quacked like a duck. It was . . . a bow. Clumsy, embarrassing and unbecoming a president, yes, but not an act of treason or, as one newspaper put it, a gesture of “fealty to a foreign potentate.”

She acknowledges the bow, but then goes on to “grant him slack” and excuse it away (and takes another swipe at a former President), OK, fine. Whatever. Spin it however you want. Excuse it away.

But for crying out loud people, ADMIT it happened. And STOP they lying. Or find a new line of work.

(Has Katie Couric covered the Bow story? I would be interested on her take. I do recall her telling NBC reporter Lee Cowan during the primary that if he can’t be objective, he should not be a reporter…)

  • barry bums a ciggie

The WH excuse for the bowing is ridiculous. In the primary, using barry’s middle name was racist but once he was crowned the winner, the use of it was considered culturally savvy because it shows his tie to the Muslim world. So, I am sure in the near future, this action will no longer be a “handshake” but a bow to show his respect to our “friends” (aka We’ll kiss your ass for mo’ money).

  • http://deleted Buzz Latte

Those two ladies are part of the D team. You know, the ones that have to work on a holiday. Agreed, they are about as journalistic as the obots we get around here are objective.

Note to Airhead Ladies, Obamalamadingdong, and Gibbs: IT WAS A BOW, MORONS!

  • I’mFedUp

It just can’t GET any more pathetic and ridiculous than the media in this country. Honestly, turning on the news has become and assault on one’s intelligence. Who the hell are these moron chicks?

Also on Fox, Bob Beckel completely revising history on the pirate incident and the panel calling him out on it. I don’t know why these people feel compelled to lie for Obama, but it’s getting to the point where you can’t turn on the TV.

  • pm317

So the new LIE now is that the King was sitting down. These people are pathetic.

  • Judy L. NC

I have seen this story for the past couple of days but I don’t know when the “bow” happened. Can anyone tell me? Was it on his trip to the G20? And isn’t it ironic how Mechelle gets a pass for pawing the queen and yet bullshit this gets the noise machine working.

I can’t remember the blonde lady’s name, but6 she has been the Obama defendent on fOX for a while. I think she took over for Lanny Davis after he clearly couldn’t do the task with a straight face anymore. She was frequently on Hannity and Colmes, trying to defend the one and attack Palin. I think her name is Kristen something. Many times when trying to put a positive spin on things for the one, she has looked highly embarrassed. I do not know how or why she continues this behavior. She has clearly made herself out to be the biggest idiot in the world!

  • politicalidentitycrisis

Sorry, off topic, but it was funny. Obama is getting trolled, too. So sad,

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/04/13/obamas-effort-online-transparency-stymied-internet-trolls/

  • politicalidentitycrisis

Forgot to mention that I did post a comment on the article above, but it must have been eaten by Spam!

  • DAB

The blonde in the tape is a bonafide Democrat. I recall seeing her on Fox during the campaign and she was labeled such. I’m don’t know the other female’s background.

I agree that it is strange that even those who criticize Obama for the unseemly act want to qualify it and are skittish about making it totally about him in order to make it seem “less bad”.

I don’t watch Couric anymore but I know that Gibson never mentioned The Bow during the prime time news — guess it was only a cable story.

  • http://sarainitalyblog.blogspot.com/ American Girl in Italy

yes, if you click on the links in this story, it will take you to other stories I wrote about this, and more video.

  • Lyn

WHY didn’t ANY other of the panel call her out on her obviou lie and point out the king was STANDING? They let her repeat several times he was sitting ..like that was a fact, all the while the vide was showing the King STANDING and Obama BOWING not leaning.
if she wants to make an ass of herself..fine, but they all look bad by not pointing out she was dead wrong or lieing

  • Ani

What is hilarious about this is that any normal human being watching this can clearly see:

    a) it was a genuine BOW;

    b) the king was standing up.

Therefore, the media just loses more and more credibility with the average joe and josephine.

Furthermore, it is very clear that the MSM knows this was a big boo boo otherwise they wouldn’t be running circles around themselves denying it.

  • tango

Oh just another item that doesn’t present Obama in a good light not covered by the news:

    http://digg.com/d1oYVK

Handing out digital cameras to the Obama faithful would explain why so many soldiers at the front clamoring for photos of Obama all have the same camera.

  • Lyn

I’m pretty sure the blond is Kristen powers (sp?)

  • wodiej

I am at work and am lucky to not have the misfortune to be able to view it but the excuses of the blondes are an embarrasment-TO THEM. I agree w Lyn but perhaps Fox said nothing because they wanted them to make themselves look bad-it worked.

  • IndieDogg

When did the TRUTH become the Kryptonite of our age?

None in the MSM (other than Jack Tapper) dare go near it, even in the face of blatant fabrication. To have the guts to call a “Hold on, Wait Just a Minute…” is what…. too 60′s?

Want a more recent example? How about a simple, “There you go again….”[?]

Can we get some prosecutors on these panels, somebody who knows how to get at the truth and grill a witness?

After all, that is what these media hounds and mouthpieces have become — “witnesses” for the defense. They’re not “reporting” the news or even legitimately commenting on or analyzing the news. They are “witnessing” for their idol, their icon.

Don’t put any more “experts” or “political commentators” on these panels. Put some “experts” at fact finding on there. Put a Vincent Bugliosi on and let him eat these fools for breakfast and Katie Couric for lunch.

  • Peggy Sue

It’s often the case that politicians get in more trouble for lying about what they’ve done, rather than the actual deed. In this case, the faux pas would have blown over days ago but the excuses and lame interpretations just keep stoking the fire.

And the King was sitting?? Kristen needs glasses, me thinks. Or maybe take the rose-colored ones off.

    Ridiculous!

  • jwrjr

I don’t think that the MSM lost credibility on this farce … but only because they lost all credibility during the Obomba presidential campaign. They have no more to lose.

  • politicalidentitycrisis

    Related to Austin Powers maybe????

  • Portia Elizabeth

Fox tries to be “fair and balanced” by inviting two BO apologists on to face two sane people. I don’t know who the redhead is, but I agree the blonde is named Kristen Something. She shows up regularly when Fox needs a bot to cover BO’s ass. She clearly knows for certain that BO is perfect and therefore incapable of doing any wrong, so please, everyone, stop trying to make him look bad because it’s just so partisan and mean-spirited.

I was offended that Michelle got a pass on getting too chummy with the Queen. Isn’t that a capital offense? Had anyone else done it, they’d be looking for a good barrister.

  • fsteele

On a throne, doubtless. A very high throne.

  • Benjamin

The blonde woman is Kirsten Powers, who was a Democratic Strategist during the primary and GE, and who now writes for the New York Post. I agree, she has seemed almost embarrassed at times defending Obama – and she’s from Alaska and I’ve actually heard her defend Sarah Palin before. Her position on this “bow” issue is just ridiculous.

  • Judy L. NC

Thanks, Sara, I’ve been busy with Easter and hadn’t read the background.

  • http://sarainitalyblog.blogspot.com/ American Girl in Italy

That’s right! thank you! i know i have seen her often, but I could not remember her name. I wanted to look into them before I wrote that, but I couldn’t find any mention of them on the FOX site. I don’t remember ever seeing the red head, but Kristen I do.

  • Chris

The blond is Kierstin Powers and she has been on Fox for awhile especially during the Pres. campaign. She is a blinders on uber Dem and Obama lover. She and Bob Beckel will never fault Obama for anything. The video clearly shows a OB with his right hand shaking the King’s hand and his left hand on his own thigh. His right foot is pushed back a bit almost as if he was going to genuflect too. That is a very plain act of bowing down to someone he thought was a superior and that he owed respect and subservience to. As a good muslim should to his muslim leader.

  • tminu

This has to become comedy fodder; Americans are too smart but to laugh at the contempt these people have for their right to a straight explanation.
Like the Obama girls named their dog “Bo” after Bo Diddly and not their narcissistic dad.
Or the lipstick on a pig had nothing to do with Sarah. mmmkay
I picture them having a “club” where the more audacious the cover is to the “outraged public” the more “points” they earn…afterall Obama said he is keeping score. Ever notice how fast the junior senators and congresspersons are slapped out of their do-goodness phase?
They all wind up sounding like the kid with chocolate pudding on his face saying “it just jumped into my mouth mommy!”

  • ScottVA

It was clearly a bow …… if you do these things in public and know there being videotaped then why lie about them?! LOL I think NoBama learned these things from Cheney who would say and do things on camera and then deny them later!

Maybe the next excuse will be that the camera man was shooting the picture sideways and NoBama was really standing upright…. LOL What morons!

  • I’m a Linda too

Pathetic,, the whole lot of them.

…the rude and condescending (not to mention delusional) blonde woman that said the only persons who think he was bowing is the right wing nut jobs.

First let me say how appreciative we all are being classified a right wing nut, 2nd of all, I’m sure right wingers don’t appreciatve being call a nut. And 3rd of all, what do you thing the extreme Lefties feel being told they must be a right wing nut job…especially like the piece Richard Greene, on air personality of Left Wing Air America Radio wrote explaining WHY Obama bowed.

Me thinks it’s time for Larry’s post abouot the Bow again, too. Maybe you just want to add it to this one. :)

AGII–In addition to media lying, there’s a theme emerging in the media to put the Obamas in ascendancy over the Clintons. My two examples, so far, range from the sublime to the ridiculous:

    1. A post at HuffPo was about Hillary “channelling” Michelle by wearing a flower pin and a belt.

    2. Jonathan Alter, a guest today on NPR’s “Here and Now”, said, (I paraphrase), in countering the progressives’ early disappointment in Obama that he has shown himself to be the most progressive president in more than a generation and has accomplished more in the public investment and advancement of progressives’ goals in less than 100 days than Clinton did in 8 years.

First, without Clinton’s centrist (center/left, whatever) platform or views, he would not have been elected after Reagan/Bush1.

Second after Bush2′s 8 years, Obama has had much to turn around to the progressive side.

My view is that Clinton’s antics helped dems lose the 2000 election to Bush, but I detest this Clinton slamming.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhXA3fXpCFk Woman Voter

And ‘US NUT JOBS’(what they are calling anyone that dares to say what they see) have noted that this ‘respectful leaning’ was not given to Queen Elizabeth, but I can see why as I still remember the respect that was shown to both female candidates during the primaries and the general election.

NOW, if Obama wants to BOW to the KING, I say more power to him, just do it in a private meeting, where he isn’t representing the US as its leader. In private, on his time he can even kiss his ring, I don’t care, but as Commander and Chief he should remember that he is not on his time, its on our nations time and act accordingly without any future need to tell big tales, because most people know what they saw.

Yesterday I told my long-time Republican friend, who lives in VA and knew the Nixon daughters as teens at VA Beach (I’m trying to impress you with this name-dropping!) that Obama is opening up a hole so big (budget and taxes, particularly) that if you Republicans got your act together with viable candidates (not Palin) and a more moderate platform that you have an out-side chance of winning in 20012.

From a long-time dem (now unaffiliated) that was saying something!

  • http://www.ThePresidentialCandidates.us Sarah Palin 2012

I agree, Obama doesn’t know how to deal with these guys. George W. knew that it was better to hold their hands.

  • JozefAL

It’s bad enough that Gibbs lied about this, scoffed at the question, and dismissed the blunder, but for *journalists* to spread the lie is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

This is the kind of thing we can expect from msnbc and CNN, and this is why their ratings are so much lower than FOX’s. But FOX needs to remove these two liars from their lineup. They are irrelevant, and are either too stupid or too biased to ever be listened to, again. And having them on future segments lowers the credibility of the station.

Yes, it’s absolutely wrong for journalists to spread any lie. And that’s EXACTLY what your so-precious Fox News did for YEARS under the Bush/Cheney administration. They were entirely “biased” towards spreading whatever lie, mistruth, deception or half-truth the White House wanted to spread, and those who watched Fox News during the time drank the Fox News Kool-Aid.
Then, only after Dubya got his second term did the network began its turn-around. I don’t recall any criticism of Dubya or Cheney coming from Fox News until well into 2005, but even then, it was very tempered (even to a point of holding the Congress more at fault for failing to exercise its Constitutional powers and authority).
Does this excuse CNN or MSNBS for their current failure to hold Obama accountable? Of course not. But let’s all remember that even the hard-nosed “professionals” at Fox News found themselves falling under the Obama spell throughout the campaign (even hard-ass Bill O’Reilly produced some fairly glowing comments about Obama).
I find it somewhat ironic that you would even suggest that Fox News fire someone based on their stupidity and bias. If Fox News held that position (especially on the latter point) ACROSS THE BOARD, the network wouldn’t have anyone on the air. EVERY FUCKING ASSHAT on that network is BIASED. And it’s been that way since the network first went on the air. The network has never made any bones about its own bias; in fact, the network has been very proud of its bias. (Hell, even holding up “liberal” Alan Colmes to show the network’s lack of bias was, in fact, absolute proof of that bias because Colmes rarely won an argument.) The relatively few “liberals” or “progressives” who appear on the network tend to be outnumbered by conservative guests and hosts and, all too often, any points they might score get turned around by the conservative host or a conservative guest, if the points aren’t completely ignored. It’s amazing how so many here became fans of Fox News ONLY because the network (as a whole) didn’t champion Obama. Rather tellingly, the network didn’t get behind any Democratic candidate during the primaries; even when it came down to just Hillary and Obama, the network kept out of the fray because it didn’t want either Democrat in the White House. I’ll just about guarantee you that had Hillary won the Democratic nomination and then the Presidency, Fox News would be hounding her every step and calling her every action into question. Plus, there would be the “Bill Factor”; Bill Clinton’s every step would be followed by somebody connected to the network to find the smallest hint of a new “Monicagate” scandal. Hillary’s bid for the White House was hurt during the primary because of the conservative blowhards, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter (who, along with Fox News tend to form the conservatives’ “Holy Trinity”). Both of them made Hillary-favorable comments that truly un-nerved a lot of Democratic die-hards (the ones who are most likely to participate in the primaries and caucuses). When the Coultergeist said she’d support Hillary over John McCain (because McCain wasn’t “conservative enough” for her), that was far too chilling for most of the Democratic faithful, and Rush’s little suggestion that Republicans “be a Democrat for a day” was also very chilling (yes Team Obama made the same suggestion but the underlying reason was different; Obama hoped to prove that he could win over GOPers, while Limbaugh was dreaming that Hillary would win so that he’d have a second chance to demonize a Clinton).

  • I’m a Linda too

6 million Republicans didn’t vote for john McCain because they thought he was too liberal (Moderate) and not Conservative enough.

They will need one more to their principles, but they will go with Conservative.

One that gets rid of waste and works on less taxes not more.

So far Sarah Palin is winning. On both principles and rallying the base. Governor Palin has put forth one of the boldest Renewable Energy platform of all Governors and still cuts taxes and is our countries best rated Govenor.

…that’s why the Democrats are freaking out.

  • ScottVA

I agree with you. My partner and I have voted Democratic for a long while. We supported Clinton but when NoBama was annointed the Dem King…we were out of the Democratic Party! We use to give quite a bit of money but not this past year! We ended up voting Republican (McCain) for the first time in our lives… If the Republicans want to win they need to realize that they can’t win it alone with only a conservative base anymore! Demographics have changed A LOT over the last years and more of voters have shifted… Running someone with moderate views is what’s going to win it for the GOP as President in 2012! I would gladly vote for a GOP candidate that represented more then just the conservative base again! McCain lost because he wasn’t tough enough on the campaign trail… he had MANY MANY chances to pound the crap out of Obama (esp during debates) but chose not to… the high road doesn’t win elections anymore!

Which part of “bow” are all these boobs failing utterly to understand? Having been on this planet for 51 years, I know a bow when I see one and That One made one. There is no spin, argument, diversion, alternate reality-argument, lying eyes, or any other bit of hogwash, spin, or outright bullshit that will change the simple truth that our alleged President bowed.

    He:

    bent the knee
    genuflected
    curtsied
    kneeled
    kowtowed
    scraped
    stooped

It seems to me that any one of a number of frequent commenters at NQ would be better at both commenting on and delivering the day’s news than any of the morons currently reading the TelePrompTers at the major news outlets.

  • Benjamin

My view is that Clinton’s antics helped dems lose the 2000 election to Bush, but I detest this Clinton slamming.

I think the “media” decided that the dems should lose because of Clinton’s antics. Bill Clinton’s approval rating was still around 60% when he left office.

  • beebop

Thank you sooooooooooooo much for this. I saw it and could never find it again!

  • jbjd

I could not listen to the tape. Did anyone ever point this out to the woman, King Abdullah was standing up? As soon as I read this, I, too, was alarmed at how easily the narrative could be re-written. Wow.

  • Ellen

Actually, Powers was a Hillary supporter all the way – until Obama got the nomination. she is the only democrat, along with Bob Beckel, allowed on Fox and often substituted when Allen Colmes was off (prior to his leaving the Hannity show). But, as every single Democrat to ever grace the Fox News stage, she is bullied and shut down every time she opens her mouth. this video had more of her at one time than I have ever seen.

So Gibbs tried to get away with brushing off the bow, as did others. Could it be that he did bow, thinking it was not subservient? I lived in Asia for many years and bowing is as natural as shaking hands – i continue to nod my head when acknowledging someone, sort of a 1/4 bow(?!!)

I certainly did not think much of it when I saw the video of the bow. seeing Michelle with the Queen did not register much on my radar either. I guess that’s because I simply do not look for or dwell on these things – even if the MSM and Obama haters keep talking about them.

This is important how?? do you really feel embarrassed over what the President did? Come on, lets put this in perspective here – its only an issue because of your hatred for Obama – if this had been someone else you would not be giving it a second thought.

  • jbjd

Are you being serious or facetious about Lanny Davis?

  • Ellen

Moron chicks??? a bit sexist, no? only on fox news do you get this pathetic – because the station spins and turns everything to go against Obama. Its really quite simple – no history revision, just fox playing with the facts and presentation.

  • Benjamin

I’ve been over the bow for a while. It was a protocol gaffe, pure and simple. Two hundred years of American protocol says that an American president should bow to no one, but if Obama wants to bow and scrape before the corrupt King of Saudi Arabia, then so be it.

What keeps this story alive is the Obama team’s reaction to it. I mean, seriously: how disingenuous and arrogant is it to deny that the bow took place?

  • Benjamin

No, it’s not sexist to call a moron a moron, whether they be a chick or a dude. And believe me, our mainstream media is full of them.

  • Julia

Yes quite sexist all, the post and some comments but can you see the sexism NOW Ellen? And did you see the sexism during the last primary? Sure not.

  • Ferd Berfle

Shut up troll. Your chance to rail against sexism was a year ago and you were nowhere to be found.

And your master is a fraud, in case you weren’t aware.

  • FranSC

I saw this show and was disgusted that Kirsten was so flippantly defiant that no way was 0 bowing. Frankly, when I first saw the clip of the bow, I thought he went down on one knee he went so low.

Yes, Kirsten Powers is a regular on Fox who is a young, no-non-sense, rarely smiling type that has even belittled Carl Rove (in front of him). She was an outspoken Hillary supporter until after the primaries. Then, as a dem strategist, obviously jumped on the 0 train. I frankly have never seen her seem embarrassed about defending him. To her credit, she has defended Sarah Palin on a regular basis. But sometimes her holier-than-thou attitude is hard to take.

  • FranSC

Kirsten is an example of being authoritarian and it working for you. She is counting on belittling those of us who saw this extreme deference by 0 toward the King, and we will finally be shamed into silence and her argument, the lean, wins. The only problem with that is my defiant nature won’t allow me to do that.

  • FranSC

If you can believe it, Kirsten Powers was more of a Hillary supporter during the primaries than Obama. But I suppose if you want to continuing working in that capacity, you’ve got to change your stipes.

I was offended that Michelle got a pass on getting too chummy with the Queen. Isn’t that a capital offense? Had anyone else done it, they’d be looking for a good barrister.

Or in another century, their head on a platter.

You watch FOX news a lot, do you Ellen? The real problem is you don’t see anything as an issue for Obama. His vote on FISA? Nothing! Expanding the power of the office? Nada! Not accepting public financing? Forget about it! Leaving 50,000 soldiers in Iraq? No problemo! Bowing to a decadent monarch? A distraction. Insulting the monarch of another country by not respecting their protocol? Don’t see anything wrong with that, do you?

How often do you watch FOX? What is your very fav show? Go watch Olbermann for a while where you’ll find an open mind. Or Chris Tingle.

I was moderately moved by your blog “why the bow matters,” and emailed Professor Juan Cole to ask what he thought the effect of “the bow” would be, taking forgranted that Obama had bowed. This is what he said: “He was doing a double-handed handshake. That isn’t kow-towing, and wouldn’t be allowed with European royalty.” Now, Dr. Cole is open about his admiration for Barack Obama so his opinion may be questioned (“when we believe something, everything we see validates that belief”) but You disdain Obama, so the same quotation applies. I believe, in this case, I’ll accept Cole’s position. I’m back to my original place. It isn’t worth all the words you have put into it, Larry…and don’t turn your famous temper loose on ME. I can cuss just as well, probably better, than you can. That is MY perspective. You are, of course, intitled to your own. Besides, *I* am the guest here.
You are gonna be buying dinner, and just maybe with enthusiasm.

Ellen, perhaps if you knew as much as the group at NQ knows about how Obama was selected for the nomination a couple of years before the 2008 election season; how the DNC and Dem leadership making that decision because they were determined to win any way they could and Hillary was NOT their choice – they could not run things with Hillary; they can with 0bama, at least for a while. That’s the reason they turned their backs and a deaf ear to the caucus fraud, the fraudulent fundraising that broke all records and was done by a company chosen (selected) by Pelosi in her district. All the race baiting headed up by Jesse Jackson Jr; all the disloyal former Clinton WH people. And, oh, yes, the maniac media that disgraced journalism.

Oh, and Btw, if you stick around long enough you will see this group does not need lecturing by the likes of you. Now, go do your homework!
