Doing a Real Poll

Folks, I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of guessing about what will happen once the average American voter will think about Barack Obama once they get a chance to know about his associates.  So, we are going to look into doing a poll that will be methodologically sound and scientifically accurate to get a clear picture of what lies ahead.  If you are interested in helping finance this effort hit the PayPal donate button.  No pressure.  If your money is tight, send it to Hillary.

Larry, is alright to ask what a poll like this costs?

  • grtphoto

I was wondering the same thing! Would love to help!

Do you have a po box for those of us who don’t have a paypal account?

Will this poll discuss Allison Davis? Will it discuss Obama’s knowledge of appointees to Illinois pension boards? Will it inform voters of Obama’s appointment to the Illinois state Senate Pensions and Investment Committee during Rezko’s various schemes? Will it discuss Rezko? Will it discuss the letters Obama wrote for Rezko on Illinois state Senate stationary? What will it discuss? Will the role Ayers and Obama played on the Woods Fund board in the allocation of millions of dollars to a Allison Davis enterprise? And will this poll discuss how Allison Davis later served as an intermediary between Rezko and one of the Chicago investors Rezko and Levine attempted to defraud? And will this poll also discuss how Davis was once Obama’s boss? And what of Obama’s role in a 1995 case involving a Rezko project in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago?

    What will this poll mention?

    • grtphoto

I second this. It would have to be a fairly sizeable poll though, which unfortunately may leave out crucial info. due to time/space. Far too many people have no effing clue what they are supporting.
If this poll doesn’t do it then we can look forward to the GOP doing it in the GE if he’s the nominee!

    • http://vbonnaire.wordpress.com vbonnaire

Don’t forget Alice Palmer! When I researched that — his “operatives” forced her out. Really bad. I think he is trying to pull this off on a larger scale with Hillary. Also, apparently he just drop kicked his delegate crew out here in CA. I think he’s a bad guy, and a user, and a fakir so I can’t wait for the poll. I’m sure glad you are here, Larry & Co.

It won’t matter to Dean. He’s scared witless of the street riots if the “Uniter” isn’t endorsed. It is so obvious, because nobody could be as stupid as Dean is being. He will find a way to endorse that heap of dung even if he’s caught chasing a kid down the street. The Party will go down for decades ala 1972, with one difference. McGovern was a real gentleman and was actually sincere. his problem was the little A Holes that were supporting him and getting into everybody’s face. Ring a bell?

Obama is Swift Boat toast and Dean doesn’t care, because at least he can’t take the blame for blowing off that loser. Why else would he sacrifice Florida and Michigan. He’s a coward. Coward Dean.

    • 30 yrdem

      AMEN!

    • Janis

I don’t know what the hell to think anymore. When the first suggestion came up that “Obama’s supporters will riot if he’s not chosen,” I was disgusted by the racism in the comment. It really grossed me out.

And now, some of his supporters are actually making that threat! Jesus, did I fall down a rabbit hole or what?

      • The Gringo’s Wife

I feel a need to speak up here.

First of all it is imperative that we not fall into the same rabbit hole that the Obamabots and the Republicans seem stuck in.

I have spent a lifetime quietly, gently but consistently sharing with folks my life experience in hopes of dispelling some serious sterotypes and misconceptions.

I recall a specific conversation with a woman I still consider wonderful, smart and a genuinely good human being. Her comment was about how you could see blacks at the corner liquor store in the morning and this translated into how generally, blacks were lazy.

I grew up in such a neighborhood. Yes, there were at least three drunks every morning standing around the parking lot of the local grocery store drinking their 40s.

But for every one drunk I ever saw, I knew ten outstanding families who were hard working and usually better educated and better mannered than I.

I say that to you now. Do not lump all African Americas into one negative group based on the comments and/or actions of a few. There always may be a fringe group who may act out but they do not represent the AA community as a whole no more than Timothy McVey represented white America. And if you doubt that, please pay close attention to Hillary’s dedicated support group which includes a large amount of African Americas.

(Why aren’t 2nd or 3rd generation Haitains not called Haitain Americans? How about the Columbians? The Irish? The Russians? That we categorize a section of our population by color is still curious to me.)

Having said all of that … for the first time in my life I can tell you that I am “up to here” with the race issue. It is a distraction. And it is working.

So long as Obama can seperate us by color, we aren’t going to unite and take a good close look at him.

We always talk about blacks rioting. But the fact is that whites riot too. They do so quietly and it is by far more insidious than terrorizing the community for a day or two. Those whites who may now or in the future (if Obama is elected) feel angry about all of this may, as history has shown, spend a long time pushing back against AAs for years to come in small but nonetheless detrimental ways. Always keep in mind that laws are created, administered and imposed mostly by white men.

Human behavior is in fact, predictable. The same old tricks work every time.

Beep! Beep! We seem to all be living in a Wiley Cayote cartoon.

You can call it the “yeehawww” pay back. Howard wants revenge. For being punked.

This is why I have continued to slightly rewrite my letter to the dnc on a nightly basis in response to the dnc daily requests for money, time, etc. Dean and Brazille need to go now before they bring the party down. I am just glad to have found a place of like minds. I do not have a pay pal acct but will figure it out to assist – I have this money I was going to give to the dnc…

My Obama-supporting friends still do not know a lot about Wright! They think he only said “god damn America” and only had ONE controversal sermon! They said he’s probably like San Francisco’s Cecil Williams.

Look forward to seeing the poll.

    • FLVoter

Maybe it will make a difference to them to know that “Oprah” left Rev. Wright’s church years ago.

      • AF catfish

They were surprised to hear that.

  • JM

If you could somehow find out how much a poll would cost, then I would donate toward it. If you do not get enough money for a poll, will you donate it all to Hillary’s campaign?

  • LarsThorwald

A reliable nationwide poll with confidence intervals at higher than an MOE of =/- 3 %, done by a polling house, will easily cast $25,000 to start.

  • JM

    Thanks, Lars.

  • Bill

Larry, you wouldn’t be talking about a privately funded push poll just b4 PA would you?

    wink wink

    Mums the word.

    Question one.

Do you plan on voting for an America hating black separatist worshiping black man, or an elegant, almost regal woman with noting left to hide except her certainty she will ultimately prevail.

    • Psychodrew

I would absolutely contribute to this. I’m sorry, but he’s had the MSM on his side the entire campaign.

Unfortunately, I don’t know if it would work at this point.

  • http://NoQuarterUSA.net Larry Johnson

No push poll. I’m examining a technology that allows polling to be done via the internet. cost of this should be under 10k. I’ll update everyone as I get answers to the details.

    • JM

      Hi Larry,

I am currently unemployed, but I have managed to send $60.00 dollars to Hillary’s campaign. I have never donated money in the past, because I thought that there was already enough money pouring into the political process, that it disturbed me. What changed my mind this time is the fact that Obama is getting this huge amount of cash, and honestly, I don’t believe it is from everyday people like myself. Hillary has been able to withstand his money fueled onslaught, which shows that she has real support. I hope Obama gets exposed for how he was able to obtain so much money. Something does not seem right, and Obama’s supporters are actually using it as something of which to be proud. I am disheartened by this. We really do need campaign finance reform. We cannot have people buying elections!

  • Tahler

Sounds interesting. But yeah, money is tight for me (im a poor college student) so I’m sending all my extra cash to Hillary!

    EUGENE for HILLARY!

I hate to be the naysayer but I am sure there are better ways to spend our money either supporting Clinton or exposing Obama. In both, the obvious challenge is to educate voters on these two candidates.

There are so many polls bombarding people that they are almost meaningless. A 527 might be too organized and narrow. Individual blogs and Web sites get lost in the sheer quantity of what’s on the Internet. Beyond the very interested, who knows about NoQuarterUSA, TaylorMarsh, or even my several Websites, such as TheProblemWithObama.com and TheObamaCult.com? Many others have Web sites as well and our various audiences are very small. SPAMMING’s not the answer, nor would a bunch of full-page newspaper ads. Anyway, some more brainstorming is in order.

Again, I think a poll is a waste of time and only tells you what a group of people think. It doesn’t inform people with information they can use to choose a candidate.

    • JM

I am going to check your website out.

  • gimmeabreak

Paying for a poll? That sounds fair and scientific…

    • PMS

gab, just how do you think professional polls get conducted? Do you think polling firms donate their services?

      Give me a break!

  • Psychodrew

I’m willing to chip in, but I’d like to know more about the technology. We need something that people will take serious, so the methodology is important.

    • ginaswo

I chipped in what I could
I am running low on funds as all my dough is going to Hill!

  • Dawnelle

Wow! I’m so glad your site is NOT off line anymore. I couldn’t get here for hours. And I couldn’t get Sugar & Spice to fully load either.

I went to Riverdaughter’ site to ask around. Someone there couldn’t get NO Quarter to load either.

What happened? Or was it not noticed by you all?

I’d love to contribute if I had 2 plug nickels to rub together. Living on disability is barely a living. I hope you get the chance to try it. I’d LOVE to see a good HONEST poll.

Gallup is totally fraudulent. I don’t think they have been right twice this season with there predictions of Hillary before some key races.

I don’t think BO is closing in on Hillary either in PA. It’s a rally call nothing else. jmo.

  • eaglesnest

check out the aol poll…..hillary has won it consistently since the wright story broke. they run it new every monday. but you can bet hillarys kitchen sink, the msm will never run these results, oh hell no ! additionally, who does gallop and rasmussen poll ? 1,000 blacks or screaming college kids ? thats what i like and trust about the aol poll because its a real pulse across america. its not rigged like all the polls showing obama closing the gap or how far he is ahead in the national polls.. bullshit…..

    • Dawnelle

Thanks! I did just that and while perusing the site came across an article claiming that Hillary’s NEGATIVE’s are in the 30′s and NO ONE can win the PRESIDENCY with negatives like that.

(it was by Chuck Todd who I know is no fan of Hillary)

I wonder if that poll is true? I got angry and closed the window before saving the link. IF my history is working I should have it listed below.
      http://news.aol.com/political-machine/category/swamp/
oo there’s also an article here about Chris (tweety) Matthews being ON THE WAY out at MSNBC!!!

      YES!

  • http://vbonnaire.wordpress.com vbonnaire

I just got to you through Riverdaughter’s. It really scared me when I couldn’t load your site first thing. Yesterday I couldn’t load stop-obama.org either.
It seems creepy? And considering who he has on his side? I wonder…

Anyway, there is something really comforting about coming here. Maybe it’s that banner! Whew.

    • Dawnelle

      I love your site too!!!

Thank You LARRY From All Of Us At Hillary_Clinton_In_2008 : Randi Rhodes Leaves Air America. A statement from the station’s chairman, Charlie Kireker, and president, Mark Green, to be released Thursday says the popular progressive host decided to leave after the station suspended her over the off-air comments.
This video below is pretty silly, but it started circulating late last night it. It blames everything on Larry Johnson over at No Quarter, which is laughable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8aCay5e6lU
