well, I for one don’t appreciate your insinuation of foul play at Larry Johnson or Susan. I can verify, as if it would matter to you, that the server was shut down by the hosting company because of its popularity or because of an overload in users. I helped with the server switch because the dialogue here is important, even and especially if you disagree with Johnson or Susan.

I don’t care if you think it looks suspicious because from where I’m sitting, having logged into the server to help Susan and Larry get it running again, then finally transferred, I can tell you there was a spike in usage that the company shut it down over. So, process that or not, your choice.

Never got a “Account has been suspended” message.

I’d put more stock in a massive server overload – exceeding the paid capacity for the account then some nefarious plot by Obama, the company, etc.

And considering the recent attempts at reconfiguration – gaining, losing then removing the server side scripts that served up the side bar links and most recent posts… how much was caused by Word press inexperience? Especially if it then led to too many service ticket requests to fix the mess, accompanied by attitude?

Larry, if you paid for a service and your host did not provide said service according to the terms you’d contracted – then there are remedies.

Regardless, at least you’re back up and running…which is all that matters so you and others can continue to express their points of view.

( I couldn’t even email my own family nor even send replies to email sales solicitations) Nothing would go out! Took 2 hours of my day on the phone with Time Warner to get a partial fix.In the meantime, my email will now go out only through big ole TW with remaining mysterious block on my Macmail.

But the real story that matters here “their campaign offices scoured finanical records, internet traffic and made phone calls” to try to be sure these delegates were faithful supporters. Shades of GW – but don’t think even he invades the privacy of his own supporters that way.

There are very few true independents in the political arena. We still adhere to some beliefs on either side of the aisle (not even Libertarians are monolithic in their ideology). If any “independent” is “watching” it’s from their side they more relate, too.

I admire that No Quarter is Hillary friendly, because there’s few Leftist sites that are (and for independent conservatives, even fewer that tolerate cross-overs [you can't defend Hillary on Rightist sites]). Doesn’t matter with DDoS attacks. Any site that is hit can be shut down (unless there’s a mitigation plan worked out beforehand). Some webhosts have really good DDoS countermeasures, while most don’t. Like some websites have security audits, too.

Not much a webhost can do than to drop the packets; reroute traffic; and all with the help of the uplink provider. Why I prefer using Internap, because half the internet could go down, but the website will remain online, as they’re peered on every main pipe.
