This tale about ARS is only one ingredient. It's easy to keep us in the dark since most of us aren't sophisticated enough in our knowledge of such matters: we wait until trouble finally boils over and we get burned before we try to sort it all out -- but then it's too late. I just don't know what to think anymore. I worry that the economy has a LOT more tanking to do, in spite of a few glimmers here and there from time to time. I'm bracing myself. Everyone was aghast at the Bernie Madoff story, but his corruption was merely a fractal view of what's been going on everywhere with the complicity of the professional political class. It's not party-driven or party partial. It's all about greed and who gets to be King of the Mountain. All the King's men, naked as bluejays. Keep up the fine work, Larry.
