Despite that well-timed DHS report, designed to intimidate today’s protestors, I am confident no one will stay home out of fear. Check out some of the Draconian thinking in Janet’s big scary report. … Most notable is the report’s focus on the impact of returning war veterans.

“Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists,” it says. “DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities.”

The report cites the April 4 shooting deaths of three police officers in Pittsburgh as an example of what may be coming, claiming the alleged gunman holds a racist ideology and believes in anti-government conspiracy theories about gun confiscations, citizen detention camps and “a Jewish-controlled ‘one-world government.’”

It also suggests the election of an African-American president and the prospect of his policy changes “are proving to be a driving force for right-wing extremist recruitment and radicalization.”

The report also mentions “‘end times’ prophecies could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons. These teachings also have been linked with the radicalization of domestic extremist individuals and groups in the past, such as the violent Christian Identity organizations and extremist members of the militia movement.”

“DHS/I&A assesses that right-wing extremist groups’ frustration over a perceived lack of government action on illegal immigration has the potential to incite individuals or small groups toward violence,” the report continues.

The report states the DHS will be working with state and local partners over the next several months to determine the levels of right-wing extremist activity in the U.S.

Last month, the chief of the Missouri highway patrol blasted a report issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center that linked conservative groups to domestic terrorism, assuring that such reports no longer will be issued. The report had been compiled with the assistance of DHS.

The report warned law enforcement agencies to watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin.

It further warned law enforcement to watch out for individuals with “radical” ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes. (Read all.)

I guess I’m a right wing extremist. I am stockpiling food for my family. I wasn’t doing it for the end times (I hope it’s not the ends times becasue I am not ready for that). silly me. I am stockpiling because I believe the economy is going to get much, much worse and that food and everything will be horribly expensive, due to hyperinflation. Yep. I’m a radical. Plus, I figure if I’m wrong and it’s too much food for us to use up in time, I can donate it to the food shelves. A win, win situation and I don’t see how it hurts Obama if I want to be able to feed my family since I’m a single Mom, but that’s just me. I’m kind of silly that way.

Texas is now a “terrorist state” because gov Perry wants to hold on to state’s rights. Governor Perry rocks. And it’s my understanding that Texas can leave the union any time it wants anyway, since that was part of their deal when they joined. Texas is only one of a bunch of states (more than 20 I think) that are asserting their state’s rights under the 10th Amendment. I can’t wait until every state in this country files sovereignty and tells the Fraud to screw himself. I guess our forefathers really knew WTF they were doing when they drafted the Constitution. What would we do if they didn’t provide for someone as dangerous as the Fraud?

You are at best laughable. The last time I checked, if Texas were to become an independent nation, it would be 9th wealthiest country in the world. And California would be sucking up big time. In fact (and it pleases me so much to rub your nose in this), when the California vineyards were decimated in the 1930′s, they had to get new grapevines FROM TEXAS to replenish their stocks. But don’t take my word for it. Do some actual research. You’ll be amazed at what you can learn.

You know the garden is something we are doing also. I tilled up about half my backyard. Something along those lines caught my attention while looking for some fun seeds for the kids. Evidently there has been some technology for years now of a “terminator” gene in hybrid seeds. That gene prevents the seed from germination. The idea is to protect the patented seed, so that you always have to buy it from the seed maker to replant. The technology is out there, and it’s use has been protested. I admit, I had no idea somebody was even dreaming things like this into existence at all. To me, what if they do this for wheat… and these terminator seeds cross pollinate with native wheat and the resultant seed is then sterile? This I know is off the topic, but because it is an open thread… I need to look more into this before I can say a lot on it. It just looks to me on the surface like something that ought not be done. But, collecting some natural variety garden seeds may not be a bad idea.

I too stocked food for a few years. I never thought I would see the day in my country that I would have to fear what I am fearing. It’s unbelievable. Now I have a house full of food and water for when the Fraud gets us blown to hell, or we have to wait in bread lines.

Even though we lived in 1950′s suburbia on a cul-de-sac- my mom still stockpiled the house with food and supplies every Fall like her mother before her. What we didn’t grow and can ourselves, she would have delivered- pounds of potatoes and other root veggies to store in the cellar. Crates of apples. In now, come harvest time, I feel those instincts kick-in myself. Load-up the pantry. Load-up the wood pile.

In a move that he had to have known would get him attention, comedian/actor/aspiring musician Jamie Foxx attacked Disney songstress Miley Cyrus on his Sirius radio show “The Foxxhole,” taking pot-shots at the teenager’s appearance and suggesting she should “make a sex tape and grow up.”

A listener had called into complain about Miley’s publicly-voiced frustration that British band Radiohead had dissed her backstage at the Grammy Awards. When Jamie Foxx asked who he meant, one of his co-hosts on the show, a woman, muttered “that little white b—h,” to which Foxx responds, “The one with all the gums? She gotta get a gum transplant!”

He then goes on to advise Miley,
Make a sex tape and grow up. Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat. That’s what I want.
The woman in the background can also be heard saying that Cyrus should make a sex tape with her dad.

The whole thing was lame and, frankly, disgusting, but you can catch the audio here. Sure, Miley sounded entitled and pathetic when she complained about Radiohead, but she’s a teenager—and it’s not fair for any of us to judge her without knowing how hard it is to stay grounded as part of a billion-dollar enterprise.

Miley shouldn’t take it too personally. When a 41-year-old man attacks your appearance when he’s supposed to be commenting on your behavior, it reeks of desperation on his behalf. Perhaps he’s just bitter because there’s no chance whatsoever The Soloist, his upcoming film, will make half what Miley’s Hannah Montana movie will.

Well, and isn’t it true that they are giving us more in our withholding from our paychecks for now, but we’ll just owe that money next April? I believe that is how it works. They cut payroll tax to give us more, but they didn’t cut income tax. You have to watch the play on words with politicians. ALWAYS! Kind of like my Governor (Pawlenty-MN). He promised no new taxes and he has kept his word on that. Instead, he calls them fees. hahaha.

Kathleen…get a clue. I live in California where ALL taxes are going up. Our sales tax just went up, our food tax is going up, cigarette tax, property tax, you name it. Guess who’s paying for it? The middle class. Also, how about all of those people who Obama promised the free ride to? They can’t even buy their cigarettes anymore LOL. At $6/pack. But if you send any person on 4, 5, or 6 combat tours what do you expect? Even during Nam the amount of tours was limited. That still doesn’t mean every veteran will become violent.

I think this is an excuse for more government control and gun confiscation.

Some historians note that the Boston Tea Party may have been more of a protest against a trade and import monopoly than it was about taxes and that the “party” was organized by importers who did not want to buy tea only from England. If the Lwingers pull that one up then I say good. We are in a struggle to prevent the Chicago Political Mob from creating a nation-wide monopoly on ideas and acceptable dissent.

I went yesterday to protest in Santa Monica California–got a lot of encouragement from many passing cars–there are a lot of people who are fed up with out of control federal policy/spending and legislation. Interestingly, no MSM showed up to cover it– “Nightline” aired it’s last story at midnight last night under it’s “closing arguments” segment that is intended to have people go their website to see if people agree or disagree it showed a couple of pictures from all over the country and stated “is today’s display MISGUIDED or do you agree that taxes are too high and money is being wasted”

A sweeping government policy for all new births in the United States has just passed the House of Representatives and is now headed to the Senate. The Mother’s Act, if passed, will mandate that all new mothers be screened by means of a list of subjective questions that will determine if each mother is mentally fit to take their newborn home from the hospital. Just imagine that after your child is born, you are told that you can’t take them home since a multiple choice questionnaire wasn’t answered correctly. Just imagine being told that the only way you can take your child home is if you or your spouse goes into treatment or on anti-depressants which we know causes psychosis, delusions, and even homicidal thoughts. It just doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, this bill is on a fast track–No public debate, no public disclosure of the broad impact on our society and that is why we need you to act now!

The Mother’s Act violates our Constitutional right to privacy and your right to liberty and it is just outright dangerous.

All meds have possible side effects, that does not mean that all mental health treatment in the form of counseling or anti depressants or other meds, effect every person that way. In fact much of this medicine prevents people from having the symptoms like delusions. I have two very good friends that have mental health issues and they would not be able to function without meds.

As for the mental health test, if they give that to people, half the mothers would not be allowed to take their kids home. I see alot of people that have no business having kids.

What is going to be done w the babies-foster care? stay at the hospital nursery? At any rate, it should be debated like all bills but Congress gave that up a few months ago.

The bill, sadly, has good intent which is to provide care and meds for women with postpartum depression. The problem is that the loony left can never leave it at that. They have to go as far as intruding into people’s privacy and rights. That’s the sad thing about whatever these nutcase “progs” think they are doing. Maybe they have their hearts in the right place, but they don’t realize that in America we don’t sacrifice human rights and liberties for the nanny state.

…but we need more white babies…the state is running out of white babies to adopt. If we – state social services – petition the court to declare mothers unfit then, the state can take custody of these fungible assets to fill state ‘coffers.’ I was involved in a custody case whereby the state admitted they placed a baby in the wrong home (in a foster home instead of with siblings) but then presented evidence to the court in the form of an “independent” report from a well-known psychologist at a major teaching hospital, saying the then 10-month-old child was now much to bonded to the wrong family to be moved. (The state withheld that, in addition to being a psychologist, their witness, also a lawyer, was the Sole Proprietor of a training company that had just been awarded a 6-year state training contract at the rate of $140/hour, to teach social service professionals the art of “Demystifying Trial Preparation and Testimony.”) The judge ruled that, based on that evidence, permanent custody of the child should go to the state. The sibling family has not seen their child ever since.

I know lots of people who get nervous and screw up important tests, what test would be more important that IF you are allowed to keep YOUR child? This kind of Draconian thinking is exactly what we get when WE THE PEOPLE as ordinary citizens, fail to grasp the underlying legal constructs which we have allowed our elected legislators to create in order to legally enslave us. I’ll play devil’s advocate for a moment and you’ll see what I’m talking about…

Ok, now you can’t REALLY blame the government for pursuing this line of thinking, can you? Clearly the government has both the authority and a MANDATE, yea even a vested INTEREST in “protecting” us from ourselves.

I mean…seriously, did we or did we not PETITION THE STATE IN WRITING for PERMISSION to enter into legal MARRIAGE by completing an application for a marriage LICENSE?

And did we or did we not then further petition the State to CERTIFY and REGISTER the birth of the very flesh and blood children that are the natural products of those marriages??

You may apply the exact same legal logic to ANYTHING for which you fill out a State “application”. Anytime you do that, you are petitioning the State to take jurisdiction, which it will most certainly and readily do at the drop of a hat. And by default, jurisdiction by the courts of the State is always PRESUMED unless challenged or you assert your rights ahead of time (i.e. don’t legally and automatically INVITE the State into your domain upfront)

So then…what do we expect?? Should this type of proposed legislation and overt, expansion of tyrannical government power REALLY surprise anyone, given that we ASKED for it??

It shouldn’t…because we’ve literally petitioned the STATE in WRITING and PAID A FEE (full legally binding contractual obligations!) for the privilege of inviting the jurisdiction of their courts directly into all matters pertaining to our marriages and families…so they are just doing their JOBS…the jobs WE demanded, paid for, and requested in writing for them to do.

May God help us throw off these unwittingly self-imposed chains of bondage…because we can’t fix this without His help.

Got this email from a friend this morning. Before you start bashing Republicans for no reason, understand this person used to be a Dem.

Last night I had the honor of having a nice conversation with Rep. John Boehner, the head of the Republicans in the U.S. House. He was Newt Gingrich’s deputy when they took over in 1994 and turned the absolute mess that the Clinton Presidency was giving us at the time into a success by forcing him to balance the budget four times in a row. (He likes red wine, while for me it was Maker’s Mark and Sam Adams beer, two great American drinks.)

Yeah, that’s right, in case you bought the evil media spin. It was the Republicans who did it in the 90s and B.J. Clinton who was busy doing other things in the Oval Office who used the evil media to take credit for the resultant great economy.

I was thrilled to hear that Rep. Boehner say that the Republican mood is very high in Washington now and he knows like I do that there will be a turnover tsunami in November 2010 because these creeps who got elected last November will have made such a total train wreck of things. I felt much better about the country after hearing this.

It’s been a while since I read up on the insanity in Cambodia unr Pol Pot. Correct me if I’m wrong, but here is what I remember: Pol Pot and his followers believed that every should be the same. If a person harvested/gathered more food for herself in order to survive, that was bad because that one person (who merely wanted to stay alive) was “standing out.”

People were punished for trying to save themselves and their families from death by starvation. You have to read about this political extremism to see it in action, and to believe it.

I have watched this so many times in the past 4 days. It really restores confidence in …. life again. I think part of this response (for me anyway) is that…Obama was supposed to be this great President, this messiah. Of course we knew that he wasn’t – but we thought maybe we are wrong about this guy. He was judged by his “cover” (that has so many meanings that I don’t have the time to touch here). Well his content is lacking….. Watching Susan – she was being judged (and not favorably I might add) on her cover and she surprised us with her substance – her talent. Wow – oh – wow. I needed that. I will probably watch it a few more times because it just feels good.

I attended a tea party in Norwich, CT today, and one of the speakers addressed the crowd as a bunch of right-wing extremist terrorists, poking fun obviously at the MSM reports. This tea party was attended by democrats, republicans, young and old who all felt that our system of government has broken down. They were protesting the spending, the bailouts, the inevitable tax increases, but most of all the fact that the politicians in Washington and at the state level do not want to hear the voices of the people. They are no longer there to represent the people, but to further their own self-interests. Today was the start of a revolution, and there is no end in sight. Robert Gibbs may deny that Obama even knew about the upcoming tea parties, but he will assuredly know all about them by tomorrow morning. WE WILL BE HEARD!!! It is my personal hope that this will be the end of an inept two-party political system, and the beginning of a new party, FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE. Portsmouth, NH had a very well-behaved corwd of about 50 people protesting with signs at the North Church, but many more drove by and honked and waved their support. The police were there, but I think they got bored because I saw one motorcycle cop take-off after about an hour. While 50 doesn’t sound like alot, you have to remember Nh is a small state and Portsmouth is not a huge city.
