Barack Don’t Know Dick About Duck Blinds

This is just funny. Barack shoots himself in the foot trying to make a joke about Hillary’s duck hunting experience. He disses women by demeaning Annie Oakley and then proceeds to demonstrate he does not have a clue what hunters going after ducks use in a duck blind. (Secret answer, shotguns).

      Obama said Hillary was in a duck blind with a six-shooter — mocking her like he’s been doing now for, what, two days or more? What a brat he is.

      Fox News’s Shepherd Smith had a LOT of fun mocking Obama’s ignorance of what type of gun one uses to hunt ducks.

        I loved the clip where he was “wink-wink” kidding with the media about being bitter about how busy he kept them over the weekend. Did you notice how unnerved he seemed when no one found he was cute or entertaining? It was a real “light coming on moment.”

        That’s what he said – a run on sentence of 5 different statements. What… didn’t see or hear the comma between Duck Blind and Six shooter?

        If all you and Larry can do is focus on this continuation of a non-story, then you might as well give up.

        Stick to the policy differences, the vanity/insanity of the DNC, etc. – there’s enough “real stuff” without having to resort to Fox, Tabloid esque nonsense.

    It’s interesting to see how Obama may have book learned this clinging to guns, god and Xenophobia.

    It’s from what’s the matter with Kansas.

    I read that book and what it suggested to me was that Democrats should be selecting for President:

    economic populists, public university alums with either Law or Business degrees, working class factory roots, good looks, probably baptists or an Episcopalian, southern accents, someone who probably did go hunting when young–certainly a fisherman at least. A son of the soil with a bit of mud under his fingernails. A small town boy with a cheeky smile and fire in his belly–he doesn’t need to have been a soldier but it might help.

    A man of his hands and brain.

    We now have a book learned guy who read about Kansas and heard some stories about Kansas from Grampa while he’s hanging out in Hawaii while doing his homework from Punahou.

    It’s SOOOOOO over.

    It is nice that the media or a part of the media is actually listening to every word Obama now says, about time!

    And Obama supporter on it figures all will be forgotten in 6 months what is going on today, no way, it will be front and center and right now is the time to keep piling it on Obama, so he can’t play the prior games of forgetting prior things, now is stack time on Obama!

      They waited to do this to him once they were certain that Clinton was written off.

      It means the press was simply sitting on all the dirt they knew existed. Wright should have been an issue in Iowa, not three months later in Pennsylvannia. Obama’s propensity to diss other voters in private is not a new characteristic either. He’s definitely done this before and the press looked the other way.

      It almost looks like a criminal conspiracy to stitch up the Democrats will a sure loser.

    Hawaii is really like a foreign country — well in fact Hawaii was an independent country with a Queen before the US stole it with the help of the Missionary Boy’s Club.

    Grandpa must have had a huge influence on Obama — and no doubt Grandpa could spin a yarn or two about Kansas. He was, after all a salesman — and they have to have the gift a gab.

    I don’t get the sense at all that Obama has spent much time traveling, vacationing and getting to know America. No he is far more interested in his Kenyan kin than in his Kansas kin.

      That’s another MYTH about Obama. Talking about how his mother was from Kansas. She was when she was quite young. But she spent her high school years in MERCER ISLAND — a gorgeous, very wealthy enclave across Lake Washington from Seattle.

      Only the very richest people can afford to live there. Her parents lived in an apartment there, and her dad commuted to work in Seattle. But they did so so that she could mingle with the elite, and have access to a better education than if she were in an ordinary Seattle high school. Last week, the Seattle Times had a big story about her years on Mercer Island, and interviewed many of her classmates, who remember her as unusual. The schools on Mercer Island have every advantage for their students. It’s another world from Seattle’s schools.

      To give you an idea of what Mercer Island is like: That is where Bill Gates’ mammoth mansion and grounds is.

        To give you an idea of what Mercer Island is like: That is where Bill Gates’ mammoth mansion and grounds is.

        Not so–Bill Gates’ mansion is in Medina, which is a different area entirely. I remember this quite well since I used to see construction of Gates’ monstrosity when I was commuting from UW back to Bellevue on the bus.

        If I am not mistaken, Bill Gates’ father lives on Mercer Island, which may where you are getting this confused.

    Obama went on a tirade off of Clinton’s benign comments. She twice mentioned–in that statement–that she was not a hunter but that she had respect for gun/hunting culture because she had been taught by her father how to shoot as a kid and she had gone duck hunting.

    How the hell did she imply that she was a sharpshooter? She didn’t. Obama just flat-out distorted what she said–completely.

    And the six shooter thing was hilarious. My brothers and I were howling when we heard that. And we’re not even hunters, but we know that much.

          Look at the USSR, look at all the rest, so smug, so arrogant, such an infallible belief In their own superiority, while the whole time they were losing, and they couldn’t see it.

    Writers of detective fiction say that you never ever want to mistake when writing about guns. You will never hear the end of it from your readers.

    Gigantic plot holes, changing a character’s mid-novel, or killing off the hero will not generate as much public outcry than mistakes regarding firearms.

    Annie Oakley would have made a fine president. She offered President McKinley 50 sharpshooters but since they were women, he declined.

    Ironically she spent years fighting libel suits against the media, William Randolph Hearst in Chicago, who had falsely reported her arrest for cocaine.

    I don’t think the media has changed much. They still like to treat women like crap and will print anything in the hopes of tearing them down.

      yttik, I watched a PBS special on Annie a couple of years ago (she was friggin’ sooooo ahead of her time), so when I heard Obama call Hillary “Annie Oakley” I was like…Hell yeah, what a compliment! He is really acting like an ass…someone should have told him he resembles Richard Pryor doing his act….only Richard Pryor could deliver!     Perhaps no one caught the slip of the tongue or perhaps better put the new realization by the Obama campaign but towards the end of the segment Dan Gergstein had to admit that the “primary contest is not over.”

    That admission of the fact must be painful to Obama and his cohorts because for weeks they have done but say that Obama’s lead was “insurmountable” and the Hillary should face the inevitable and drop out.

    I betcha we are not going to be hearing calls for Hillary to drop out any longer. Thus I hope begins the long over due death spiral of the Obama Presidential run. May we never have to endure him again.

    Barack can say all he wants to about Hillary being the attacker, but there’s one aspect of political attacking where he leads.

    That aspect is that he usually seems to be the first and most willing to degrade the campaign with petty childish ridicule.

    Who really gives a fuck what Hillary’s grandfather showed her about guns behind the back-house, or whether she ever shot a duck? A possible answer – those who want to avoid straight-on answering the valid political points of the one they want to laugh at – much like the way Bush Sr. took advantage of Dukasis’ ‘tank photo moment’ in ’88.

    Now we hear that VP Cheney offers to challenge Clinton to a shooting match. Considering the Dickster’s recent reputation for bad marksmanship, by blowing his friend’s face off, I’d say Cheney stepped in it more than Obama and Clinton combined.

He was doing a general riff on Hilary’s recently acquired 2nd Amendment “cred” (i.e., the “Annie Oakley” reference, the “Packin a six shooter ” reference- celarly relating to Annie Oakley) He did not say or imply anything about using a six-shooter in a duck blind.
