I have lived all over this country and in England too. I am a widow with 4 children and in my 40's. I have 2 children in high school, 1 in Jr. high a my youngest is in 5th grade. The only canidate that can turn this country around is Sen. Clinton!!! She can restore our standing in the world, handle our domestic problems and end this war. I wanted you to understand me and why I feel this way. I lived in NY about 5 hours away from ground zero on 9-11. She helped get gloves and masks for the volunteers in our area that went to help. 3 weeks after the attack this type of supplies were not there for volunteers. She did not play her role up and was not motivated by political gain. This speaks to her heart. I have 2 other things to tell you that will let you see her heart. Both are personal stories that did not get media attention. When she first ran for office in NY she could have campaigned in NY NY and the surrounding area but decided instead to travel to all the counties in NY. She learned what the people were about and the problems they faced. My late husband was not a political man. He had been disabled Worked hard to rehabilitate himself and start a new career path. He had been working as a water treatment operator for a year when he met Hillary Clinton. How it happened will make you laugh. There was a meet and greet in Oneida county NY. All the big wigs were there. While this was going on there was a problem at the water plant. They tried to contact the director to fix it but his phone was off so my husband was told to go the city hall to find the director. Keep in mind that he had worked a full shift and was dirty, he was dressed in a uniform and work boots everyone else was dressed to the nines. While he was trying to locate his boss a woman approached him and asked him what his job was. He told her and she then asked him many questions about his plant and the water supply. She wanted to understand what he saw and how things could be made better. He found out who she was when he was explaining what water tribidity was. He always had a bottle of water with him and he told her that this water was from the plant. See how clear it is? That tells you that the tribidity levels are between... She asked if she could try it when my husband handed her the bottle of water secret service stopped him and asked him a bunch of questions. They saw the shock on his face and asked him didn't you know you were talking to Hillary Clinton? This tells you she wants to know whats realy going on. She could have gotten the information from the director but wanted to find out from the workers what was what. A few years after this meeting my husband was diagnosed with cancer. It was caught early thank God however it was an aggressive form that grew fast. He had Blue Cross Blue Shield and medicare (because he was still being monitored by SSD) At first Blue cross had no problem with his treatment and told us not to worry just get better. 2 months into his chemo the first bills were in $972,000. Blue cross stopped paying claiming that they were not primary but secondary. They would not authorise any more treatments or pay for anything. He was 4 days from his next treatment. If it was not straitened out quickly he would not make it. I spent the whole day talking to the insurance co. and got nowhere. The next day I drove to her local senate office an hour away. I walked in and started out with one of her staffers. After explaining what was going on and showing him my paperwork he asked me to excuse him for a minute. I thought to myself just what I needed another run around. He came back and asked me to follow him. Hillary happened to be at that office and it was her office that I was taken to. By the time I left her office I had a letters in my hand from Blue Cross stating that they were primary and would cover all bills. It also authorized any medical treatments his doctors felt were necessary. This is the type of leader we need in the Whitehouse. A President that understands us, whats to hear from us and will fight for us.

I also find Hillary awesome. I do not agree that she should have been more 'ladylike' to placate people's stereotypes. She is tough when she needs to be and she is compassionate when she needs to be. She is being herself. As such she is a groundbreaking role-model for women and a true leader. p.s. -polls are often wrong (e.g. New Hampshire), fluctuate often and may represent only a select sampling.

What a great debate! She is so awesome! Unfortunately, I fear, Hillary might have fallen deeper into the trap that Gloria Steinem wrote so elequently about. She has to be ladylike, and she has to be tough. During the debate, she seemed quite powerful next to an opponent who was falling apart under the pressure. Sure, she did well and excelled in the details, and she won the debate, as she has won all the debates. But, this morning I learned that overnight Obama actually gained on the polls. I hope she will do less attacking and leave more of it to her surrogates. Let America see the other side of Hillary, the side that is all heart, compassion, and struggle.

Just wanted you to know Obama voted for big oil and their perks. Look up the 2005 energy bill. Obama forgot when he tried to fit in with the little folk or as he sees us hicks in small town USA. You know like going bowling in suit white shirt and tie, we all bowl that way. Well at least he took the jacket off. He also stopped in at the local sports bar for a local beer making sure to bring the cameras. Now because Hillary had a beer and a shot shes trying to play politics. Make us think she is one of us Obama tells his supporters on the stump speech. I get it you get it Karl Rove gets it but Obama and his followers don't.

I was blown away by this article. It was a forthright, informative and impassioned call to action. Each day I think I can't be more impressed by Hillary... and then the next day comes along!

Hey gang - keep those donations comeing. We've raised a couple thousand dollars over the past 24 hours and my HillRaisers account's showing that overall, we've raised nearly $10,000 so far on the NetRoots! Little less that $200 to go so help put us over the top during tonight's debate!

I voted for Clinton because I'm a woman, not because she is. Her policies addressing women's issues are great. There is no one else who addresses these issues. Obama has no agenda for gender equality in any venue and thinks that the only way to cure poverty is through urban development. Clinton understand the feminization of poverty and that poverty is both rural and urban. She knows that children are poor because their mothers don't get a fair shake in the job market. Clinton's policies on poverty are much more comprehensive and designed to address poverty on numeruous levels. She is the best!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep giving my $$ to Hillary because I want her to win. I think she is the only one with sound policies and she's the only one who even takes women seriously. Obama gets female acolytes, but he isn't going to do anything for them. His wife makes over $300,000 ($121,000 before he became a senator, and then, a pay raise...)

She also introduced legislation while on the campaign trail, which Obama and McCain have not done. She's amazing. And she takes all the crud Obama's zombies dish out with grace. She never loses it!

Great! And, I would add, find the nearest Hillary campaign office and drop of $.77 if that is all you can do. What is $.77 times 100,000 people? Plus it would be great fun to see that change roll in. I'm going to find and office location now!

Years and years ago as part of my MA research project I showed the pay inequity to Jr and Sr High School students along with a discussion about Gender bias.

The girls were shocked to lean that there were hugh differences in men and women's salary -- for the same job.

MONEY is a very effective way to show girls that we still have a very long way to go.

The Governor of my state is female -- but she is NOT a friend of females. Years ago when she was working in the WA State Attorney General's office she was the lead in making sure that there would be no equal pay for equal work. SHE made sure that the wage disparity would remain. I've always held that against her.

She claims to be a democrat -- but she still will NOT have my vote this year. Women are often women's worst enemies.

Thankfully Hillary Clinton is FOR human rights which includes women's rights.

In the 1990s when I used to work (am disabled now), my mom and I worked at the same business. Mom having worked there for years even.

Couple of teenage boys who were hired that summer, we learned were getting a dollar more an hour, for equal work (heck, not even equal as they whined if they had to carry the 50lb sacks I did).

The wage inequality still exists -- on purpose. Those kids had zero expenses still in high school. Mom and myself were trying to maintain a home and health, both still kept back because of gender.

Hillary: make that a crime. Women shouldn't be making less solely on gender, and certainly not less than new employees!
