I hope they start asking more questions about the issues, but one thing in particular I would ask them about if I had the chance is what their feeling is about government back student loans and healthcare. As a medical student, I fear increased interest rates on student loans and losing the ability to defer those loans while I’m in residency when I likely will not make enough to cover living expenses in addition to making my student loan payments. In terms of healthcare, I like both of their plans, but am interested in how they plan to pay for their ideas, and how they think it will affect physicians.

I honestly do not have a candidate. None of the politicians running our country represent me well at all. I AM a small-town American, but I was not at all offended by Barack’s comments.

I have no candidate I support more than the other, and at this point have no idea who to vote for at this point. I just want to hear where the candidates stand on issues that actually matter, and get passed all the political crap that is being thrown about.

I made an observation here this evening that there appear to be a LOT of bitter people out there, and I don’t believe that to be the solution.

I think Hillary’s just glad his phone didn’t ring.

No one will get elected telling the middle class they will get a tax increase under him/her.

No one will get elected based on telling Capital gains taxes will increase as high as double.

No one will get elected telling voters that they are electable based on having Democrats for a day to seek the nomination!

That graph didn’t lie. Hillary reached 100% approval on some of her replies on undecideds. Obama didn’t break 70% that often.

Obama doesn’t do well on debates, because he has to think on his feet — not on projecting an image or identity.

Answer: because the God and Guns crowd believe patriotism is an important subject. A candidate that purposely won’t wear the pin has an agenda that isn’t, well, American.

The pin itself doesn’t matter, it’s the willingness not to wear one, and trying to think of 1001 ways why it’s not important.

When it’s important to traditional Democrats who do love God, guns and country.

I commend Obama for being frank. We have differences. They are real. We should be adults, put them on the table and work through them, not ignore them as if they didn’t exist. Small town America IS more dominated by religion and guns moreso then say, urban areas or other places with a high information density. He screwed up the delivery but the sentiment is undeniably true on some levels
