Hillary WOWs Capitol Hill Today

Clinton Takes a Dig at Cheney:

BELOW, MORE HILLARY on Obama’s friendliness towards Hugo Chavez, the case of former FBI agent Robert Levinson, Turkey and Armenia, and Indonesia and the U.S. — even our policy on “hurricane hunters”!

Clinton: Imperative to Stop Iran on Nukes
“Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is an imperative for the United States, which is taking a more active role in pursuing that goal. (April 22)”

“Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) raises three issues to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a House Foreign Affairs Committee – missing constituent Robert Levinson, who disappeared in Iran in 2007; the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia; and the importance of fostering a strong relationship between the United States and Indonesia.”

“Congressman Mike Pence questioned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the recent summit in Latin America where President Obama was photographed shaking hands and warmly greeting Hugo Chavez. This exchange took place during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing.”

“Congressman Ron Klein discusses the international issue of hurricane hunters with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.”

  • IndyRobin

Brilliant work for Hillary today. THANKS Susan!

  • http://deleted Aaron

Hillary works for Obama, don’t forget it! Why do you think she took a job in his administration when she was being set up for a power position in the Senate? I will reserve my answer until others comment.

  • b mathews

and this brilliant woman could have been our president! talk about buyers remorse.

  • jbjd

HRC did BO proud, at the cost of further alienating once zealous supporters like me. In her no-so-subtle put down of Representative Pence, she reiterated the lie that BO beat her in the primary and won the election, using that fiction to justify her endorsement of his – BO’s – effusive greetings of Chavez, which contrasted with her stand on confronting foreign leaders with problematic histories with the U.S.; that is, before BO appointed her and she accepted the position of Secretary of State.

    • mel

did you not listen to her whole statement on that, she injected the words in it “In whatever time he is given to serve” speak volumes

      • jbjd

Yes, I heard what she said. (I avoid intimations; your inference is as good as mine.) And the fact that she chooses to go along to get along is fine for her; but she has no right to re-write the rigged primary process when the next “best” candidate could equally be defeated by these same shenanigans, the next time around.

    • C.S.

I agree that Secretary of State Clinton saying that Soertoro/Obama “beat” her and “won” the 2008 election will not appease those who watched the Democratic party snatch delegates from Senator Clinton to give to the guy whose legal name and citizenship we don’t know.

Those of us who went through the threat of nuclear war at the same time Hillary Clinton did will not buy that argument. We did not negotiate with the USSR, we dared them to cross that line in the sand. A wimp who bows to a foreign king is not looked at by our enemies as “negotiating” but as weak.

One of our greatest presidents, Teddy Roosevelt was well known for his foreign policy expertise. He was also well known for saying

I have always been fond of the West African proverb: ‘Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far

      .

Soertoro/Obama may be speaking softly but he has misplaced The Big Stick.

    • fif

Yes, but she is also cleverly distancing herself from his behavior (ie: he is calling the shots, because he “won,” so it’s on him, not me–I wouldn’t do it that way.) It’s a fine line to walk.

    • fif

That link is not working now.

    • elise

jbjd my impression was so different. Whatever her words, she was clearly saying she follows Obama’s policy because he is president. I don’t like him as president, but I’m so happy she is SoS and has some input to influence the direction of Women’s Rights and other life long battles for rights for the poor in poverty stricken countries. There is no one like her in our government. When she was senator, she worked with the very people who had tried to impeach her husband. IMO it takes someone with a strong character to put aside her own ambitions and without holding grudges, work for the good of the country. Whatever Obama screws up, he can’t blame it on Hillary because he beat her. He said it and now Hillary said he beat her (without going into the methods he used) so there can be no doubt where the buck stops. You bring up this point about her all the time, jbjd. Could it be you don’t really love Hillary?

  • b mathews

did anyone notice that she intimated that this would not have been HER foriegn policy? good for her.

    • Ani

Yes, I did notice that. That was subtle, and most interesting, clearly she would not have been as warm and fuzzy with Chavez — and was photographed being much more formal and forceful with him.

But she is behaving true to her post — there must be a loyal chain of command to inspire confidence and I hope the President is duly grateful for how good she makes him look. Wait. Don’t answer that.

  • Hg

Hillary. The woman, who introduced the criminal Tony Rezko as the current president’s partner in crime, is now Rezko’s partner’s lap dog. TSK TSK TSK.

    • candymarl

Hillary did? She lived in Chicago? Do tell.

      • Hg

Conveient lapse of memory? Hillary introduced Rezko as an associate of Obama in their debate. I didn’t know Hillary lived in Chicago. :) thanks, that explains a lot.

        • catherine

Troll turd pick up on aisle 666.

          • Hg

Sorry, but you have to police your own shit. :)

            • catherine

Gennifer dear, did you forget to wear your estrogen patch today?

              • beebop

Thank you for the chuckle … laughter is sooooo good for the soul!

        • Chelsea Patriot

Hillary went to high schoool in Park Ridge, Il, a western suburb of Chicago.

    • candymarl

Hillary was the Illinois rep that funneled millions of dollars to Rezko? Wow. Hillary managed to make Obama funnel money to Rezko. She made him buy a mansion with Rezko. She made Rezko’s wife buy a parcel of land as part of the deal. Hillary also managed to screw over the poor black folks in Chicago public housing in Obama’s district.

      Doggone she’s good.

      • Anon

She is so good that she felt the need to sign on to his administration and do his bidding. Stop the Hillary love. She belongs to him now. I was not wowed. I am just as repulsed by her as I have ever been by Obama. It is time to get over Hillary. She has showed her true colors as well. By the way, she will never be president!

        • Anon

She also sat right behind him in his love fest with Chavez.

          • http://noquarter foxyladi14

that.s so she could reach over and smack him..if he needed it.

        • candymarl

All right. Hillary sucks. We should all hate her. I was against her joining this administration as well.

But there’s one thing Hillary is very good at. Helping people nobody knows.

I know. I’m one of them.

        • Hg

          AMEN to that!

        • catherine

Get lost troll! The Clinton love fest ain’t never going to die much to the chagrin of the Ken Starrs and Lucianne Goldbergs of both the right and the left.

          • Paula Revere

catherine…do you SERIOUSLY think that all 18 Million of the people who voted for Hillary still support her? Are you kidding? My friends who worked their asses off for her are as pissed as I am that she got Obama elected. Imagine how WE felt trying to stop the caucus fraud, helping her, and then watching her shove this moron down our throats. You can’t excuse it. Period. She told America during the primary how bad it would be to “select” this jerk, then she CAMPAIGNED for him. And it was all some back room scummy deal that happened in Denver at the convention. So Hillary would step down at that phony, embarrassing violation of our votes “roll call.” Puhlease. Don’t scream at the Obots for their unconditional love of the Fraud, if you have the same blindness to every other politician on the planet.

PS Who the F do you think you are? I worked my ass off for Hillary and I don’t embrace people who shit on me for the effort. That’s my choice.

            • Hg

“I worked my ass off for Hillary”. so did I.

              • Paula Revere

Yeah, so pardon me for feeling betrayed.

              • catherine

                LOL. Liar!

            • catherine

I don’t believe many of the so called “I supported Hillary” people who come here to bash the Clintons and Democrats indiscriminately while at the same time never miss an opportunity to defend the far right. That’s who the F I am!

I have the right to call out a troll and a hater. That’s who the F I am.

Of course people have the right to criticize Clinton or express disappoint, but this Hg jerk is a TROLL.

              • Paula Revere

I don’t think that person is a troll. I could be wrong but I don’t think so. You guys are going to just have to accept that some of us don’t idolize any politicians. They’re all subject to scrutiny and when they F with America, we will call them out on it. Who is defending the far right and what does that have to do with Hillary? I’m confused.

For the record, there is a place between black and white in all of this. Some of us can respect Hillary’s intelligence and the dedication she might have previously had to America. But we can also be critical of what she did to those of us who stood by her when Zero was screwing her. It’s okay to be objective about these things, I think.

                • Senneth

I agree, Paula. I, too, am disappointed in many of the politicians, in my former Party, and in the many people who actually did cast their vote for That One. Disappointment writ large, and now having to wait months before we can even try to address the imbalance of power in D.C. yet again. How is it that we, as a species, never learn?

              • Paula Revere

catherine, I’m sorry. I thought you directed the Jennifer Flowers comment towards me, so that was why I said the “who the f” comment. Soooooorrrryyyyyyy….

                • catherine

I was wondering what bug got up your butt. LOL

                  • Paula Revere

I’m so sorry. I f**d up. I generally really adore your posts. Mea Culpa. My Bad. Lo Siento. Je Le Regret, etc.

                    • catherine

                      Apologies accepted. Turn the page.

              • Hg

This Hg jerk WAS–PAST TENSE– a democrat for 52 years. I am also a VETERAN of the 1960s-70s. So if H. Clinton wants to support a freak that apologizes for all the uniformed members of the Armed Forces , past present and future, so be it. But she can stick her socialist loyalty up her ass and walk backwards and so can you. You socialist loving JERK.

                • catherine

Hahahahaha. Linda Tripp you’re still around? Working at the Pentagon and taping Lewinski’s gross confessions does not make you the Great American Hero, mkay?

And just so you know, I’m very anti- socialist!

                  Stop the hate Ms. Tripp.

              • Peggy Sue

                Catherine said:

“I don’t believe many of the so called “I supported Hillary” people who come here to bash the Clintons and Democrats indiscriminately while at the same time never miss an opportunity to defend the far right.”

You think, Catherine? A rather strange disconnect in these comments. As if the 18 million HRC supporters are going to run into the open arms of the GOP. There’s amnesia, and then there’s brain death.

                Fight on!

                • Paula Revere

Peggy Sue…when did all of the Hillary people here “run into the open arms of the GOP?” LMAO. Please, Peggy Sue, tell us of all the people here who have changed party? Frankly, I would be embarrassed to be a Democrat now, but you GO girl. Nevertheless, why don’t you stop with the GOP hate and lying about people here? The people who are disappointed with Hillary here didn’t say they registered GOP. Stop making crap up for the love of God.

                  • Paula Revere

PS Peggy Sue, way to GO with that non partisan stuff. Republicans are “brain dead?” Really? I would think the stupidest person on the planet is someone who remains loyal to the party that destroyed Hillary and stole their votes. Never mind destroying our country now and committing the most egregious criminal acts of theft of our money. Brain dead? God help you.

                • elise

It’s predictable, Peggy Sue. Start a thread on Hillary and how amazing she is and you can go down the line marking those comments beginning with,”I supported Hillary, but…” or I love Hillary, but…etc and it’s the same names every time.

                  • Paula Revere

Well elise, too bad for YOU. Not everyone has to agree with you, do they? And the people who don’t agree are posting some very heartfelt reasons for it. It was very emotional for people and they still sting from it. Are you the only person with an opinion? Wow, you must love that Fairness Doctrine.

                    First Amendment…READ IT.

        • elise

Sorry, Anon. The Hillary love will never go away. Deal with it!

          • Paula Revere

Sorry, elise. Some people don’t worship politicians and hold them up to the same scrutiny, regardless of party. Deal with it!!!!

        • fif

Excuse me: who are you to tell anyone else how to feel? Get over it yourself. I make my own choices, thank you very much.

    • fif

Since when is a Secretary of State a lap dog? Do tell: what do you do for a living?

  • Diana

Hillary shines no matter where she speaks because she speaks with knowledge and love in her heart for this country and her citizens.

    • Anon

Yeah, she was really shining the night she took his hand and proclaimed how honored, honored she was to sit on the stage with that one during the primaries.

      • catherine

Gennifer Flowers is that you? Go back to your pathetic blog and keep writing mean things about the Clintons. We know you’re still bitter because Bill would’nt leave his beautiful and brilliant wife for a gaudy strumpet like you but really …LIG girlfriend. LET IT GO.

      • Chelsea Patriot

Gennifer, your snake’s calling; Sparky’s lonely and needs a little loving.

    • felizarte

I think that the Obama team sent Hillary over to the capitol to clean up O’s mess his amateurish performance in foreign affairs left. I hope that Obama realizes from this recent furor over his actuations and statements that he had better leave international affairs to Hillary or at the very least, read only statements that SHE writes for him to read off his teleprompter.

    • http://noquarter foxyladi14

she is a hero and a patriot..

      • Paula Revere

LMAO she’s so patriotic that she got Obama elected and she KNEW he would destroy the country. Can someone PLEASE explain how that is patriotic??? Please. I don’t get it.

  • Elle

Despite being a strong supporter of Hillary I must say that her defending BO is still a bitter pill to swallow.
He is the president and his words and action goes is her basic response to the question.
Stop conforming and bending to his ways.

  • Kelly

I didn’t see this as brilliant at all – simply spoken like a true politician. What Hilary is saying is that she and Obama are going to do things the way they want and they don’t really care what anyone else thinks. Nothing brilliant there, just matter of fact. It just so happens that there are a lot of us who feel politics as usual is the wrong approach and we’re tired of hearing it as the explanation for the same actions we see from politicians time and time again. She said herself *other* leaders have chosen to similar meetings although with preconditions. This is done for a good reason.

  • John Smith

I agree with the comments above. Hillary sold out the country by jumping on the bandwagon with BO.The irony of it all will be that Bo will get rid of her the first chance he gets and then she will become a distant memory.

People will have to just accept that she is standing by while BO is weakening our country and portraits a weak and incompetent administration.

I will never vote for her again.

    • maddie

Did you vote for her the first time, John Smith?

      • John Smith

I did in the primary and even gave her money.

    • Ani

I disagree. We have the president we have and there was nothing she could do to stop that. She was hamstrung, if you remember. There is a bigger picture here — I would rather have her minding the mint on foreign policy than somebody else he could put in there.

How is it selling out her country for her to still try her best to serve it. The writing was on the wall for his win. This angers me more than
I can say, but here we are. We still have to make it work somehow. I’d rather not have frat boys like Gibbs in charge of a position like this if you don’t mind.

      • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

that would be fine but she doesn’t have to stick her head up his ass does she?? She could have been respectful without going to extremes. He beat her in the primary? No he cheated her in the primary.

        • Hg

Hillary could have better served America by remaining a US Senater where she could have opposed a lot of Obama’s CRAP. Now she is confined to serving her president as his spokesperson. WTF? Maybe it is the battered wife syndrome after all and she can’t help it.

          • FLDemFem

No, more like Momma realizing that the kid doesn’t play well with others and makes sure she is there to defuse any situations. Note her expression when talking to Chavez..nothing like Obummer’s. He may be playing President, she means business. And our allies and enemies know it. He may show weakness in public, but she will be at the negotiating table, and she has brass ones.

            • Paula Revere

I don’t know if this is true…But a friend of mine told me that he went to some big meeting with the heads of China, India, etc. and they were all griping about the Fraud. And the people we have trade agreements with were supposedly saying they would stop the trade if we didn’t put Hillary in there because they couldn’t see dealing rationally with the Fraud. Of course I don’t know if that’s true, but it came from my friend in DC who is always right about this stuff.

          • Ani

What do you think she could have done as the lone Senator opposing him on the Dem side? It would be her and maybe Evan Bayh. Good luck.

And good luck to Hillary trying to get anything accomplished with that bunch of backstabbers in the Senate, who took the health care platform away from her to give it to Teddy Kennedy and were trying everything to minimize her role –jealous boobs.

She commands a great deal of respect around the world — I don’t like that she is part of this administration either, but make no mistake, we need her help.

What would you rather she do? take her marbles and go home in a huff? We have a country to run and we need some adults out there. He is the President now. I wish people would have stopped drinking the kool-aid long enough not to vote for him, but they didn’t pay attention. Now that we are where we are I want our country to succeed. I don’t give a crap who’s name is on it — we can’t fall down just because he doesn’t know what he is doing.

            • Paula Revere

I just wrote a big long post about the Hillary/Bill/Obama situation, and more, but the spin cycle ate it.

I was told today that Hillary and Bill have pretty much figured out that they can’t work with the Fraud and all is not well in Clinton Land with the Fraud. I guess that might be why people are hearing subtle references that she might not agree with all of his crazy nonsense all over the world.

              • Lillian

Thank goodness for that! Hope she bails out soon. Wow! THAT’D be some news!

              • TeakwoodKite

Paula Revere, when you say I was “told” would you be more specific as to the source of this info?

                Just curious. Thanks.

      • fif

As usual, I am right there with you Ani. Very easy to judge and make assumptions from behind a keyboard. She is the one traveling all over the world, trying to keep us safe with this neophyte at the “helm.” Can you imagine how wishy-washy our foreign policy would be without her. She is a public servant first and foremost. What did people want her to do–destroy 40 years of work by doing a kamikaze move? If people remember clearly, the entire party establishment was arrayed against her. When you’ve served your country with decades of tireless dedication, then you can judge.

        • Ani

          Amen.

    • felizarte

Hillary did not sell out the country by agreeing to serve in this administration. So far, the Obama policies that have received, even lukewarm support are those policies first enunciated by Hillary during the primaries. I shudder to think how much worse off the U.S. would be vis-a-vis foreign affairs were it not for the fact that Hillary is at State making sure that things do not go awry.

With Ted Kennedy keeping her from a major role in Health care and nancy pelosi firmly in control in the House, there is not much she could be doing except be the lone voice in the wilderness.

      • arran Madison

felizarte–Thanks for your comments. We read the same commentary on Hillary’s possible reasons for accepting SoS. I believe she would have been humiliatingly diminished if she had returned to the Senate.

      • Paula Revere

The reason the Kennedys supported the Fraud, and they wanted Hillary out of Senate, was apparently because there has never been one single piece of important legislation in America with the “Kennedy” name on it. Civile Rights happened AFTER JFK and LBJ got the credit.

The Fraud promised Ted Kennedy that the Universal Health Care bill would have the Kennedy name if the Kennedy name would promote the Fraud – and boy did the Kennedy name come out for the Fraud. This is how the filth in DC works. None of it is about honesty or integrity. None of it.

Teddy was so terrified of Hillary and her plan, so of course they got her out of there. As unhappy as I am about what Hillary did, I also can recognize that there was quite a bit of sexism involved and also just plain jealousy and hate of the Clintons that caused this.

        • Ani

          Agreed, Paula.

        • Thinker

I agree with this as well.

          Very well said.

I feel the exact same way.

    • patm

Unfortunately, I feel the same way. I made many, many donations to Hillary when I, myself, was unemployed. My hope was that she would fight for this Country no matter what . But -at least to me- she has now proven that she will “play” politics, even if it destroys our Country in the process. I cannot accept that-ever. Hillary will not receive my vote again, in spite of her many talents.

  • James

    THAT’S a leader.

  • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

I had to stop the lovefest when she began talking about BO-GAG.

I would be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and think she took the SOS job if for no other reason than to help our foreign relations except she said one thing about BO in the primary and now he’s Mr. Wonderful. As Shakespeare said:

“to thine own self be true”….

    • Docelder

Being a “rubber stamp” of approval for The (inept) One has to be a major letdown. She should have stayed put in the senate and built a war chest for 2012. She could have even started that third party we need. But, that is how you know when you have made a real mistake, because real mistakes stay with you for the rest of your days. I thought Obama might send her to the Supreme Court to be done with her politically for good. But, he won’t do that now if he doesn’t have to.

      • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

        couldn’t agree more.

      • fif

That is very naive. First, she would have been marginalized in the Senate, and she couldn’t get elected in her own party because the establishment, and media were against her, but you think she could win with a 3rd party in 4 years? Never happen.

Besides, she’s earned the right to make her own decisions. She has information that none of us have, and she is entitled to her own decision. If she runs, she’s got my vote, money and effort.

  • Paula Revere

I don’t have to defend myself against the attack I will get for this…because anyone here who knows who I am knows I tried to help Hillary. For nothing. She ended up getting the Fraud elected and my country is done with. She contributed to that for her own reasons.

I do give her credit for being the only one in that SADministration that allows me to sleep at night. But, let’s don’t fool ourselves…just like the Obots, who are going to wake up from a big snooze, when the Obama SADministration goes down, everyone goes WITH HIM. Including those who support his insane so-called “foreign policies” and giving hummers to our enemies because he’s a sick f**k who wants to be popular with fascist scumbags. Obama has put us in grave danger…Do you really think Hillary will be unscathed by this? When she is AGREEING with Obama? Also, how can you people chastise Obama for bowing to Saudi Kings, making out with Chavez, etc. and then say it’s OK when Hillary approves of it? That makes no sense.

So, if you love Hillary, you might not have wanted her to be part of this. Yes we all feel a LITTLE bit better having her around…but will it be worth it when we get nuked and the backlash against her is huge? Don’t kid yourselves; she will take as much blame, if not more, for the day America is no longer.

    • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

rock on sister…Hillary will go down along w everyone else in his admin. That’s what happens when you “sell your soul to the devil”…he expects to be paid back. It really is too bad, HC had alot going for her. But if you don’t stand up for character, values and integrity, you don’t stand for much. All the riches and power are worthless without those principles-absolutely WORTHLESS.

    • basil

And, about HRC, the more I see her behind the MF, the more I dislike it.

Sorry but I honestly think she made the wrong decision and I fear she’s being diminished the longer she sits in his shadow.

Please don’t crucify me for that. I still adore her. I just can’t bear seeing her associated with him in any way. I recognize, however, that it’s possible my hatred for him is beginning to extend to everyone in his coterie, even HRC

basil…If you lie down with dogs, you get fleas. It’s really simple. She will get some stink on her when the Fraud is shamed out of the White House. Oh well.

I won’t crucify you for that. And, quite frankly, I find it appalling that people would attack you for not towing the line for Hillary. We bash the Bots for their blind devotion. Double standards.

    • Senneth

Paula, I don’t sleep better at night because Hillary is SOS. I’m also done rationalizing why she accepted the job. She basically condoned the misogyny and sexism That One practiced in the primary and the GE by accepting this position. While she may be doing a good job and I’ve admired her for her perseverence and dedication, Colin Powell is a reminder to me constantly that she, too, serves at the pleasure of That One. I’m thoroughly disillushioned with politicians today, including both Clintons. And before anyone calls me a troll or a bot, I voted for her and gave her money – the first presidential candidate I ever donated to. I think it’s a sad time for our country and those of us “little people” will have to keep holding the politicians’ feet to the fire to preserve our rights and freedoms.

      • Paula Revere

Senneth, I hear you. It’s so complicated, isn’t it? On one hand, I do understand the undying Hillary support around here. On the other hand I understand the disappointment and disenfranchisement of the people who can’t believe she went to work for her ABUSER. Tricky stuff. Since we are all entitled to our own opinions, I guess we will have to muddle through the next few years and pray we survive. Next time I hope voters are a little smarter, and the DNC is stopped from committing the most despicable acts of voter fraud in history again in 2012. The DNC and ACORN should be co-defendants in a RICO trial.

    • fif

You’re being quite dramatic aren’t you? Why don’t we wait and see what happens before we imagine Armageddon.

      • Paula Revere

Why don’t you take a look at what’s happening to this country because we ARE on the brink of America not existing and Hillary can’t stop it.

  • jangles

I listened to all of these clips. I thought Hillary could have been a little more professional on the issue of the docs Cheney wants released. I thought her response to Pence was respectful and at the same time in great service to her President. As I listened to that, I thought Obama is so very fortunate to have this woman as his Sec. of State. She gave him a reasoned front and shield for his inexperienced behavior. I thought it was masterful and I can only hope that Obama recognized the service.

  • catherine

I love my crafty clever girl! Oh yeah, she’s making it very clear for the present AND the future that the country is getting exactly what it wanted BUT her approach would have been different. Alas, since the DNC and the media prevented her from becoming POTUS than her policies cannot over ride those of the “Chosen One”.

Read between the lines people. If you don’t understand what she’s trying to communicate in subtle political politesse than you’re merely too obtuse or an incurable Clinton hater.

Yes, I’m sure some of you would be satisfied with nothing less than Hillary shouting accusations of 0 being a “muslim jihadi communist ex KGB” but guess what? That’s counter productive and would only hurt Hillary not 0. She obviously could not stay in the Senate and become part of this stimulus mess while being neutralized by Reid, Kennedy et al.

There is a TIME and a place to strike at one’s adversary. Obviously some people here are not familiar with political world history or have never even played chess. Unbelievable!

    • FLDemFem

Her strategy is straight out of Sun Tzu. Those who don’t know what I mean should read more and type less.

      • catherine

I do believe that’s one of Bill Clinton’s fav books :)

    • http://noquarter foxyladi14

she is a master chess player.and this game is not over yet..

    • Ellen D

I agree with you Catherine. It’s hard to believe from the comments I’ve read that anyone has managed to hold down a job in an average office with such black and white attitudes (no pun intended).
There are times to attack and times to hold back.

    • elise

There are people who would like to see her implode and they never stop, catherine. If she had stayed in the senate, these same people would still BLAME HER for Obama’s election. If she left State, they would blame her for whatever happened next. I fear we have been infiltrated (or contaminated) with CDS (Clinton Derangement Syndrome).

    • Chelsea Patriot

      So right, Catherine!

Amazing how many loud-mouth posters on this site lack the ability to distinguish nuance, as well as a knowledge of World History.

  • warehouse553

95% of black people are basically holding the democrat party hostage. Obama will never be challenged in 2012 because blacks will not show up for anyone else, potentially riot, and call anyone who challenges him a racist. The media will help.

Is there any way for Hillary to win a primary without blacks? Unfortunately, she needs their support even after what they did to her. That is the reality.

I’m also angry that she has play these games but until the demographics of the party primary changes, I can’t think of anyone challenging Obama because every democrat needs the black vote!

    • FLDemFem

Blacks are 13.4% or 40.9 million of the population. Why would they be able to hold anyone hostage politically? And more and more of them are having buyers’ remorse, at least the ones I know are starting to sigh and say, “We should have had Hillary”. So, don’t count on the black population backing Obummer. So far he hasn’t done squat for them and it looks like he won’t be doing squat for them. So much for promises. And hope. That is what is going to hurt Obummer the most, the fact that he killed their hope. For a lot of them, it’s all they had, almost literally.

      • catherine

Agreed. I’m seeing a lot of disappointment from my AA friends and acquaintances. And dare I say ….yes… even shame/embarrassment. Some have a hard time these days looking me in the eye. By 2012 AA’s may be among the angriest with the 0.

        • Paula Revere

I always felt that they would be the most hurt by it. They went so far out on a limb thinking this guy was the Messiah and the answer to every problem we all have had in our lifetimes. Even IF the Fraud had been 1/2 a decent guy, which he’s not, it would be okay. But, he’s SO not what the AAs expected…he’s done NOTHING to help them, nothing, and he doesn’t care about them. I am sure their hearts hurt for this. Mine too.

One of the people we interviewed about the Fraud said she saw him speaking in Chicago to a group of AAs in his district. Afterward, a 15 year old AA boy went up to him and said that he had no food, no money, he had no parents, was living with his grandmother and she died. He had nothing. Obama told him to get away from him and stop with the entitlement stuff. He said “don’t come to ME with these problems.” Get up and do it on your own. Well, isn’t that a far cry from the pitiful AAs who are waiting for their new cars and free houses? What a disgusting SHAM the Fraud is.

  • warehouse553

They have hijacked the Democrat Primary where they are almost 50% of the vote in some states. They threatened to riot and I believe that they would have. Having a black President was more important to them than even the saftey of the country.

As to blacks turning on him, that won’t happen. Its not a logical connection, its emotional. Black people were crying on election night. They know that if he fails, there will never ever be another black President for along time. I think whites will turn him as the economy continues to plummet but blacks never will.

    • Paula Revere

Why wouldn’t AAs turn on him? They have businesses, families to feed, jobs, responsibilities like everyone else. You can’t 100% blame them for this first BS term of the Fraud’s, but I have high hope for them that, as my fellow Americans, they will do what is right for the country. They love America too, for the most part. Why would they vote to destroy it?

      • warehouse553

Paula, look at what happened to John Lewis. He was basically labeled an uncle tom for supporting Hillary. The same goes for Sheila Lee and Stephanie Tubbs Jones. If Obama fails, there will never be another black President and they know it. Some them have waited decades for this moment and care about nothing else. I think alot of blacks still feel like this country owes them something and that won’t change in 4 or 8 years I don’t think.

        • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

Based on the past 50 years, I don’t think blacks will turn on Obama either. I heard a talk radio show host say one day the longest war this country has had has been the war on poverty. If the Democratic party is so compassionate for blacks and the poor, WHY ARE THEY STILL IN POVERTY? Because the Democrats and black leaders tell them the world is racist, their troubles are because of their skin color. The problem is and always has been thinking that someone else has to clean up their own backyard. Until they get out of that mindset, and make themselves accountable foor their own lives, things will never change for them, black president or not.

          • Paula Revere

Okay, then logic would say…if the Fraud does nothing to help them, why would they keep him around? JUST because he claims to be “black?” Nah. I don’t buy it. Too many of them are smart, educated, grounded, etc. and will never let him destroy the country. Well, it will probably be gone by then anyway. Remember, folks, that when we talk about “poverty” the worst is more than likely yet to come. And if the Fraud doesn’t rescue those who are in abject poverty, they will be irate.

            • warehouse553

There is an article about him going back on a promise to help black farmers and I don’t see or hear anything from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton or Roland Martin. Its outrageous but no matter how much blacks are ignored and used by Obama, they will be quiet because and suffer because he is a “brother” and they don’t want to ruin it for him. They will never criticize him! Many think it is treason to all blacks!

            • Tom Cat “wodiej” Jefferson Esq

Okay, then logic would say…if the Fraud does nothing to help them, why would they keep him around? JUST because he claims to be “black?”

why not…they voted for him just because he’s black?

              • Paula Revere

Because he promised them all kinds of free things they will never get.

                • jbjd

…but perhaps blacks who supported BOl failed to investigate his past, especially in Chicago. Once the honeymoon is over, they ike everyone else emerging from this post-honeymoon miasma will be more amenable to hearing his history.

  • chris from Chicago

I like Hillary, I campaigned for Hillary, I donated to Hillary campaign..
She is smart, she is erudite, she is extremely well versed
Nonetheless, I cannot help but bristle when I listen to her defer to obama…as the president..
    I really want to vomit…over and over…
It will never sit right with me…no matter what…

    • catherine

I know. I understand. It hurts …big time.

  • warehouse553

Hillary has to appease blacks, even though she did nothing racist, in order to have a political future in the democrat party.

She cannot win any without them. She tried. Look at when the Congressional Black Caucus went to Cuba and praised Castro. Bobby Rush pratically called him family. Saying Cuba was better than this country. Why no criticism from people like Bayh, or Mark Warner. They are afraid of angering the blacks, being called racist.

We live in a different world post Obama presidency!

  • Peggy Sue

Hillary Clinton is always impressive in these venues with her professional demeanor, her wide knowledge and her ability to speak in a very clear, detailed way. Could she have omitted the swat at Cheney? Perhaps [even though I agree with her]. And you know what? After the unrelenting bashing she took at the hands of the right-wing, her comments are small, small potatoes. She doesn’t owe the Republicans any apologies.

Is it a bitter pill to swallow not see her as POTUS? Of course. I was always convinced that she was the superior candidate. Still am. But things are what they are. And I for one am grateful that we have this incredibly talented woman heading the State Department.

No one ever said she was a saint. And as I’ve said before admiring and worshipping people are universes apart. But she is good. She is very, very good.

    Wow, indeed, Susan.

ANd WHY is it so friggin hard to comment here??????

ONE REASON IS ONCE A POST GETS SPAMMED, AND YOU POST MULTIPLE VERSIONS, YOU WORSEN YOUR SITUATION. IF YOU GET CAUGHT IN THE FILTER, DO NOT POST MULTIPLE POSTS. EMAIL SUSAN, OR THE FILTER WILL NOT LEARN YOU ARE NOT SPAM. YOU USED A WORD THAT MUST HAVE TRIGGERED THE FILTER, MOST LIKELY *HATRED*.

I too admire Hillary, however when I hear her talk on issues I “remind myself’ that she speaks “for” Obama. These are his policies that she is responsible for expressing and carring out.

  • basil

    OK.

Last try. (was trying to respond to Paula Revere)

About HRC, the more I see her behind the MF, the more I dislike it.

Sorry but I honestly think she made the wrong decision and I fear she’s being diminished the longer she sits in his shadow,

Please don’t crucify me for that. I still adore her. I just can’t bear seeing her associated with him in any way.

I recognize it is possible that my disgust for him is beginning to extend to everyone in his coterie, even HRC.

Any democrat who dares to challenge Obama needs massive black support. That is the reality of the Democrat Party now. Hillary kissing up to them after what they did her is disheartening. It makes me angry too to see this! She did nothing wrong and is not racist but if she had spoken honestly about being cheated out of the nomination and the Presidency, blacks would be all over her again with false allegations of racism. She has to play the political game for now.

    • listing starboard

I f Obama has his way there will be millions of new “citizens” formerly illegal aliens to vote Democrat. Blacks haven’t caught on that government entitlements keep them enslaved, do ya really think they will vote against Obama?

  • viking

Sorry, I’m also having a hard time feeling all warm and enthusiastic for HRC these days. The Senate hearing was not a WOW for me at all. I heard a couple of weeks ago a radio bite where she repeated Rahm’s ‘You don’t want to waste a crises’ comment approvingly. Ugh.

I admit, I am finding myself far more drawn to the conservatives these days. I’ve always liked fiscal responsibility, limited gov’t., liberty, and personal responsibility. The religious/social control stuff the republicans took up awhile back turned me off, not because it was how they felt but that they wanted to control it through the fed gov’t. More and more I’m feeling connection with conservatives.

  • Teresaa

Hillary is just a well-spoken Obama toadie. So what? This blog criticized Obama’s cozying up with these foreign idiots. But when Hillary calls someone out for criticizing it, way to go Hillary?

    Puh-lease!

  • TeakWoodKite

What an interesting thread of comments.

I ask anyone willing to respond.

IS Hillary Clinton Qualified to be Secratary of State?

If yes…then does it matter what she thinks about the Fraud of the United States? FOTUS

    • Paula Revere

I would happily answer this…But I’m not quite sure what the question is.
