So, you hide your fear with arrogance?

PhotobucketCNN Political Ticker:

[A]t a diner Thursday morning, a reporter slipped in a question about former President Jimmy Carter’s meeting with Hamas, but Obama responded by saying he just wanted to eat his waffle. Later that afternoon while taping an interview for “The Daily Show,” a reporter tried to ask Obama about a new Clinton ad and the Obama ad that came as a response. According to a pooled report, the White House hopeful asked the reporter if she was “supposed to be” asking a question then. He added that he would consider answering but that it would depend “on how well behaved you are.” In the end, he did not take the question.

I noticed a link to our site in our admin dashboard. It’s quite a post. Check it out: “That sad moment on The Diane Rehm Show,” at Ruth’s Report blog. That ‘toon above the fold comes from this blog post.

::::::::::::::::

That CNN Political Ticker report fills me with anxiety. This is not the kind of person we want as president. He is hiding from the media. He is afraid to debate Hillary again, and get scrutinized. He knows he’s a sham. Deep down, he knows he’s not the real deal. He just hopes the followers who’ve bought into his scam don’t find out.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

Oh Man. Is this guy a Narcissist or what?

  • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

I am completely creeped out by that report.

  • http://tersaona.net MoodSwingeR

Obama has been conspicuously absent from the public discourse over the past days – declined KO on MSNBC, Larry King on CNN, shot down the NC debate…

Appears he has graduated to the next stage of a cult leader – no dialogue. When he needs to speak, he’ll address his base directly… the rest (of us) can be ignored and intimidated.

  • jes

Apparently, when you’re the Chosen One you do not take questions from those of a lesser status. They’re supposed to bow down and faint with pleasure just to be blessed with your presence.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

    Now THAT’s a scary thought.

  • workingclass artist

I listened to the DR show last friday, and my jaw dropped. Usually she has pretty goo control of herelf but she lost it on that show and most of the reporters were slanted a little. If Terry Gross goes under I know Tap dancin Jesus is gonna be at Denver…..

  • OBSP

On the Southside of Chicago we would say that he “punked out.” Or he a scary punk, or he’s a punk ass, etc.

  • jwrjr

    Just like bush.

  • beachnan

He should be afraid. Wait til the people of Pennsylvania vote, and he loses big time. In fact, why does everyone insist that she has to win big. He is supposed to be the “big man on campus”. Shouldn’t he be the one pulling down all the big states. Hillary’s supporters should be pointing this out to the media on a constant basis. After all the money this man has spent in Pennsylvania, you would think that HE should be winning by 20. I hope you all saw Hillary and company on C-Span. Her rally was absolutely fri#$@N fantastic.

  • grtphoto

Tell me, what did he do for the citizens on the South side? He likes to brag about his work there, but from what I have read he did little. Do you, or have you recently lived there? I’d love to know the truth from a resident.

when watching ther cspan and KO interview of Hillary, two things appear, especially after today when oil hits $120.barrel, these message is clear, it is time for someone to actaully work and get things done, and for Hill to be praised almost by KO for turning over the Pits paper and its owner today, proves more than words of hope and change and uniting ever will, because it is in action right now with Hillary!

If Obama is going to run away when trouble hits, WTF will he do when shit hits in the WH, run away then too?

Well his years knowing Ayers did teach Obama swomething at least, how to run away!

  • yttik

Well of course he’s not answering questions or going on talk shows. Everytime he opens his mouth he ruins the fantasy.

It’s a real bummer man, people are trying to get high off the hope dope. When people ask Obama questions, it brings them down, man.

  • mel

In the past Obama whining as being the underdog worked for him, but that died before Ohio, but he is trying again with the SD’s to save face!

    TPM ELECTION CENTRAL

Clinton: We Will “Totally Obliterate” Iran If They Attack Israel

    By Eric Kleefeld – April 21, 2008, 11:44PM

During an interview set to air tomorrow on Good Morning America, Hillary Clinton used some graphic and direct language to phrase the standard promise of protecting Israel in case of any attack by Iran or another country.

“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran,” Clinton said. “In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”

I am not schooled in any way on these things. Now if you want some software written, I might be able to help you. The only reason I know a lot about Narcissim is because a diagnosed Narcissist was married into my family and it was hell to pay. Horrible people. Just horrible.

Wow, he sounds an awful lot like George W. We can’t afford another Emporer with no clothes. Hillary is the only intelligent choice for President.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

Frankly I think George is too dumb to be a Narcissist. It takes some brains to always act superior. I just think he’s a dry drunk. I see him as a guy who, if he didn’t win the sperm lottery, would have been sucking wine from a box under the tracks.

    The right or the….

I’m beginning to see that today, this moment, it could very well be whichever direction Senator ‘SnakeOil’ is coming from.

  • bayathena

Depends on how you behave? Did he think he was talking to a child? More of Obama’s condescension only scarier.

As President what would be his response to those who question his actions? Thrown them in jail?

There is more than a fascist streak in this guy.

  • scott

Interesting to say the least. Jews for Hillary should love that.
Why aren’t we worried about the fact that Pakistan already has nukes. And so does Israel.

  • jes

He can only win the caucus states where voters are disenfranchised and he has a strong organization on the ground. Almost every time there’s a direct primary he loses. Exceptions are IL, his home state, or when black voters are a large percentage of the voting block.

Hillary has won a larger percentage of votes from the Democratic base. In fact the Dem base accounts for 75% of her votes. Obama only get 55% Dem votes (and you have to wonder what percentage of the 55% are black voters – maybe 1/3 or 1/2?). He’s pulling 45% (almost half) of his votes from Independents and Republicans (and probably a majority from red states that the Repug’s will win in the GE in Nov.) He can’t win the white , hispanic or asian vote.

Which makes the DNC position favoring Obama all the stranger. It’s really counter-intuitive to common sense.

  • mel

why is it in Hills new ad having bin Ladin in it is a reality now why is it fear for, because bin Ladin is a terrorist, Obama not like terrorist reality??

Obama’s got to lose Penn. If he does, it’s Hillary’s momentum. The MSM will probably try to pretend otherwise, but that’s been their excuse so far. I love the drawing of Obama flipping the bird. When I was six years old, I had about three pairs of overalls like that. One had a race car on it. I think it really drives home the point that he’s too young and too inexperienced.

It’s not helped by the adoration of his followers, who can’t see any of his failings. I tried listening to his rally tonight on C-Span. But that “YES WE CAN” chanting is such stupifying idolatry that it cannot be listened to.

Refused to answer a very important foreign policy issue – a former president meeting with a terrorist organization and acting as a defacto secretary of state.

Obama should have condemned that idiot Carter and his meddling. It was a no brainer and a gimme politically.

The man is a intellectual coward and fool to boot. He blows off the press like they are obnoxious kids, not understanding if they turn on him, he’s toast in short order.

And yeah this does smack of cult leader behavior and I think its just a matter of time before he cracks up from the pressure.

The big clue is lack of empathy.

As far as I can tell — Obama is as lacking as bush is in the empathy department.

Labels are helpful — but I was taught to use other words and phrases to describe behavior.

There are a so many clues in his behavior — his lack of concern about tenets freezing in his benefactor’s buildings — this is just one tiny clue that he is really low on the empathy scale. Then the way he bad mouthed Ohioans and Pennsylvanians — lack of class and lack of empathy.

Obama has some serious problems — so much so that he doesn’t belong in the white house (and neither does his dam*ed wife). We’ve been watching the GOP’s version of a bat shit crazy who needs a shrink and not the top job in the Nation — we don’t need the DEM’s version of bat shit crazy.

But Narcissist really is a better descriptive way of talking about snObama.

  • bayathena

    douglas the dummy:

learn something about Islam. the Koran teaches that truces should only be made to give Muslims an advantage.

Carter is also stupid and thinks that Islam is like Christianity. It isn’t. It is a cult that drew its teachings from Judaism and Christianity.

Hamas will agree to a 10 year truce with Israel so it can build itself up with Iranian help to destroy Israel.

A cult is a cult whether it has 10 members or 10 billion members.

As for sabre rattling, Islamists have been using their swords for centuries. Unless you want them to succeed in taking over Europe and planting dirty bombs in America you had better hope that what you take to be diplomacy fails.

I worked for a woman attorney who was one and she was truly horrific. If she passed a mirror, she had to stare into it and primp herself. She placed a little crown on her monitor and everyone called her “The Queen”. She would give us money to buy presents for ourselves on special days and then would tell us all to go to two stores and come back to tell her exactly what we bought. It was very disturbing. Everyone was afraid of her.

With Bush’s standing in the middle east…i’m sure it would.

Clearly the Syrians and Hamas (The democratically elected, then undermined government of Palestine i might add) are interested in talks and hopefully, eventually, peace. Telling them they’re evil doers and they can go and get stuffed isn’t going to stop rockets being fired into Israeli settlements and gunships from pummeling Palestinian shanty towns.

    Carter was/is poised to endorse.

Barry is morally incapable of seeing “good” versus “bad.” He is attracted to people who like him and do things for him. The fact that he is questioned about these relationships makes him very angry. I don’t know how much of this is due to psychological scars of having been deserted by his father and mother — left with grand parents — but I fear he is too damaged fundamentally to have any abaility to see the good/evil issue clearly.

    JMHO

  • http://DeeLee deelee

Carter has been leaning towards supporting Obama I believe Obama might have instigated the Carter overtures to Hammas on the understanding that if there was a BIG breakthrough he would claim credit for it (as he does with everybody elses work).Given the timeline of the Carter/Obama meeting and the trip by Carter, I think there might be some truth to this.
HOWEVER, he had better read up on the LOGAN ACT.

“The Logan Act (18 U.S.C. § 953), which makes it a felony for any American, “…without authority of the United States,” to communicate with a foreign government in an effort to influence that government’s behavior on any “…disputes or controversies with the United States.” A citizen found guilty of this law could be imprisoned for up to three years.

But again, it would just show his naivety of Obama, in his lust for power and favorable ratings.

  • beebop

If there is a connection, Carter’s endorsement is worth about as much as a nearly minted penny. And Unca Karl would relist putting them in every ad together just to drive home a point. Threats don’t work with Iran, period.

If you push, they push back, harder, Cheney and Iran are like some weak brother whining at a bully, and Iran in this case is the bully with the upper hand.

To threaten them overtly is to feed them, is to increase Iranian hegemony, especially given their proximity to Russia, China and Iraq.

It all works together, and Cheney’s people are too stupid to understand.

  • Rob Gard

But with Al Bundy’s attitude towards women.

  • simon, too

Why aren’t we worried about the fact that Pakistan already has nukes.

I think there is at least some modicum of control, there.

There are numerous factors that go into manipulating behavior, just because someone has rudimentary technology doesn’t mean they’re smart enough to use it, successfully.

Cheney and his group have access to the best technology the world has to offer, and they lost, flat out lost, because they are STUPID, just like Obama.

That’s what happens when you don’t vet the candidate, when you vote image, you get men as stupid as Cheney and the neocons, men who LOSE wars.

This is why it matters, and this is why it’s so important Americans see through the Madison Ave, Wall Street mediocrity, the Astroturf, because an inferior stupid candidate loses wars, the IMAGE of intellectual proficiency isn’t enough.

    Period.

I mean, I think Cheney’s crew is so stupid, and so corrupt, ANYONE can troll them.

  • simon, too

BTW, the same way the US essentially lost a greater asymmetrical war, in seven years under the republicans, due, in part to moves made by Russia, and China, Israel has also been affected the same way, in terms of internal decline, militarily, economically and politically.

But the US, fortunately, due to it’s democratic structure, has a big net, we the people see the incompetency of Cheney, of Axlerod, and we’re fighting to change it, electing and enabling smarter leaders.

Without that change, Iran, or Russia, wouldn’t have to fire a shot, we’d “stupid” ourselves to destruction, through the Cheneys, Bolton’s, and other Republicans, through the Rove’s, Obama’s and Axelrod’s and other “elitist” democrats, through stupid, unpatriotic business and military men.

The same holds true for Israel and it’s neocon government, and IMO it’s a deliberate strategy, gaming them asymmetrically to their decline, capitalizing on morons like McPeak, or Cheney, even if it takes fifty years.

Part of that is engaging your enemy militarily, and then draining them of all resources, manipulating the war culture. Neocons can’t grasp this abstract, simply are not prepared to understand or fight modern day warfare.

    Period.

So Iran can win, no nukes needed, no BOMBS needed.

Clinton gets it, she’s smarter than the Iranians, Obama is not.

  • pm317

Oh my god. As I suspected. A facist preoccupied with his waffle…what a child, or goon.

  • simon, too

An example, and this is very very general, say China is selling arms to Iran.

The first thing the US needs to do is weed out it’s own corruption, in the Pentagon and State.

Once it can again leverage power in the form of greater economic political and military leadership, it can, say, flex some muscle and interfere with oil delivery to China’s economy.

Just off the top of my head, China is wholly invested in oil, now, any drop would affect all factors of it’s infrastructure, greatly. At this point, though, China DOES own most of our economy, due to sto0py headed neocon policies, and this has to be leveraged, also.

So, you want a smart person in the presidency, not a wall street tool, a tool of American men even DUMBER than the candidate, which is what we have in Obama.

And this takes years to straighten out.

The greening of our economy, US intellectual innovation is our greatest asset.

    No one comes close.

  • apishapa

I read at TalkLeft that the reason his not answering this question and acting all put out because someone asked a question at all while he was eating, is because HE HAS NOT ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL FOR 10 DAYS. That’s right, all those reporteres following him around, riding on his bus, have not gotten even one question answered for almost two weeksw. He is hiding from them. He is terrified.

  • simon, too

    Clearly the Syrians and Hamas

They’re like Bush and Cheney, Obama, they will never be interested in peace, and they will only comply to the extent they incur a moral hazard.

Until a real leader emerges, it’s important not to see them through Western, idealistic eyes.

BUT, that doesnt mean WAR has to be waged, continually.

They will comply when the risk/loss ratio becomes to great.

The other factor to consider is where Russia and China are, in regard to their attempts to game the US.

    It’s all connected.

  • Leisa

I have no idea if it is true or not but I read earlier that Obummer does not plan to be in PA tonight. I hear he is going to leave PA before the returns are in. Anybody want to take any bets about whether or not he can do a concession speech? My personal opinion is that he is somewhere in a Spider Hole even as we speak.

Narcissists view others as valuable only in relation to themselves. They are unable to assign individuality to others outside of how they relate to themselves. They are often socially clumsy and clueless as to how they affect others. The individual personalities of others genuinely baffles them.

I noticed that too, that was GREAT! Screw you, Black State of the Union, screw you Martin Luther King, Jr., screw you Keith Obamaman…I don’t need you anymore!
