[Exit Poll Upate] OPEN THREAD for Hillary Supporters (since YahooGroups has mysteriously gone down)

UPDATE re EXIT POLLS: Some fairly astute political experts I know tell me that we should not pay attention to the exit polls. So sit back, relax, pour a tall one, and prepare to enjoy the evening. (I hope New Hampster is three sheets to the wind tonight in Scranton.)
_______________________________________

We’re hosting a temporary open thread for all the members of HillarysVoice — a highly popular Yahoo Group of Hillary supporters and bloggers that has myseriously gone down. The last post was about 45 minutes ago. [UPDATE: It seems to be up again. We'll see.]

However — it’s such a curiosity — an Obama group, also run through YahooGroups, is up and running, with numerous posts within the past 45 minutes.

Then there is that the courageous young writers, some of them black, who run Stop-Obama woke up this morning to find that ALL of their posts are gone. For a time, a pornography ad replaced their site’s content. They are back up. The post title? Hacked Again, This Time Barely Made It.” (If you can, go visit them, and give them some deserved comments.)

… that sounds familiar, doesn’t it ….

Chat away. We have many stories in the works. Stay tuned, and I’ll let you know if the Hillary groups (there’s more than one that is down) start functioning again.

WTF is wrong with these deviants?

Nevermind. I’m off to Stop-Obama to give a few words of encouragement.

  • Andy

amazing… way to go democracy: hope the kiddos “playing around” with these sites have the same guts to go enroll in the military and hack the real enemy for a change…

    • beebop

It would be wonderful if they left a way to track it back and nail them.

    • TeakWoodKite

      Andy;

There a whole group of young students in high schools a cross the country that spend a great deal of time learning how to hack. From what I have seen, there are two elements involved. Pure curiosity and because they can. I have often wondered how this nation could get the intel community to recruit at the 12th grade level, perhaps scholarships. I have seen these students get around off the shelf security in under 10 minutes.

Just saying this youthful curiosity should be focused in the defense of the nation, instead of being used to impede the 1st amendment.

      • http://Supergram.blogspot.com Melissa

Boy- I wish schools would teach them how to count change! The basic skills are lost!

      • Nellie

        Teak,

They are good at hacking aren’t they? With my college students, I had two simple rules.

        1. Stay off my computer

        2. If you break it, you can count on having Campus police find you at 11:00 PM, and they would stay round the clock, for protection of course (cough cough) until every progran and data base was verified as working and all information was recovered.

Only had rwo students who thought I was joking- amazing how word spreads around so fast – if you stick to your guns.

  • Strawberrybitch

CNN just reported that even though the polls haven’t closed yet. Prince Obama has left for Indianna.

    • Patrick Henry

Lets not forget that there are alot of really good Moderate African american people in America and taht many of them do support Hillary..You often see then in her apperances…look at mayor Nutter and many others.. and Many African Americans recognize Obama for what he really is..What his background is, Who His friends and Enablers are..know He is tied to Militant Ideology and groups..and who Know he is a PHONY…Just look at Chicago today..You where obama and Rezko and Pastor Wright did so much to Improve the Quality of ife for themselfs…Oops..I meant the Impoverised and poor African Americans..

Oh well, it helped Obama Build his resume and makes his Bones with the William Ayers SDS Crowd..and New York Money that keeps the door open at the “Hall”…

If Obama was Honest about many of .His Preferred Associates, thier ideology ..thier Militancy..He would have them on stage in thier Black Uniform and berets..frankly ..as a Disciple of Pastor Wrights, I am surprised that obama trusts any Secret service Agents he has.. They do work for the “‘God Damn USKKK of A Government” don’t they..?

    stop-obama.org … down AGAIN!

    • TeakWoodKite

What a mess. I wish those folks at that site the best. No website or attempt at free speech (non violent) should be silenced.

My sane half was just saying that Senator Clinton has a very substantial GE fund and BO has spent his money on the primaries.

Where are the stats for this?

I just sent Ben Franklin to ask Hillary what he could do to help her candidiacy!

Been asking my accountant, “are we home yet?, are we home yet??

    Btw. – it’s not Prince Obama… it’s PRINCESS Obama.

    • Bill Clinton

      it’s PRINCESS Obama

      • Strawberrybitch

        • Bill Clinton

Wait a minute. Insulting a man by calling him a woman is a misogynist slur!

          • fooj

Let’s make a list. I’ll start with the hideous, ugly slurs the Obamabrats have hurled at Hillary. Hell, I’ll be here all through the night.

            Grow a pair, will ya?

          • beebop

          • http://tersaona.net MoodSwingeR

But I still like it the most.

Also like the slogan: Yes, we can’t!

            And Donna BraZILLA.

            • Bill Clinton

I never said it was a misogynist slur. I never wagged my finger in your face. Go back and check the record.

Matthews is snarking over how many “hometowns” Hillary has, as if people dont move around this country. If I ran for President, I would be able to claim strong connections to Vermont, Suburban Boston, Washington DC, Maryland and Erie County, NY. Guess that would make me a phony.

Claim strong connections to Chicago, Kansas, Massachusetts and Hawaii however- no problem.

MSNBC must have exit poll data indicating Hillary will win by six, because Matthews and Chuck Todd have “agreed” that Hillary “has” to win by seven.

    • beebop

That’s cuz no town wants to claim Matthews.

Based on the Polls and the mistakes the Polls have been off by as a part of the mix, and the people not really vetting the revelations over the past few weeks about Obama, total voters about 1.8 million!

        62% Clinton and 36% Obama!

        • Mel

          Opps, missed out this part!

Voter turnout over 2.2 million, results:

I would have agreed with that spead a week ago before the debates, with people frustrated over the Rev Wright and the goings on over the SF deal, but I think that now people are fed up with the media and are basically telling them to FO none of your business in the pollings! People have no idea outside PA what is being reported inside PA and when looking at the MSNBC’s and CNN’s of the world, a statement is going to be made again like in NH and Ohio, only louder thanks to Dean’s rants last week!

The failure of it is low turn out, could be hard on Hillary, if turnout is under 1.4 million!

        • http://Supergram.blogspot.com Melissa

In our little precint of 2000 we had over 900 turn out by 5:30! I did not get the final turnout before they locked the door (sorry) but gut feeling from the voters expressions and comments all day- Hillary cleaned his clock in our little corner of NW PA!

I feel so proud of her right now. Of course, in the Bizarro World that is this political season, FOX News is giving the more balanced coverage(at least what I saw), and the MSM is saying, “This win is an absolute must, and how much must she win by to stay in the race?” SHILLS!

FOX News showed BO’s half-eaten waffle, too, the one he was so keen to finish rather than tell the American people about his positions. Apparently they’d covered the “WAAHHH, I WANNA EAT MY WAFFLES AND NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS!” story earlier. Seems it’s being sold on eBay, and bidding is up to $10,000.

Funny. The Missouri primary was uber-close and Little Lord Obama barely squeaked by. I don’t remember ANYONE claiming that Hillary WON that state.

Maybe the obamabrats/thugs haven’t realized many of us have been through this before..maybe they should have watched John Adams on HBO , they would have known our nation has History books on this ..they can not re-invent a win..no matter how they try!!

they don’t want Florida..and they are deliberately going to let McCain win in Fla..and Mi..

Kevin, Do you know anything of John Adams?

            History matters.

Historians do not unanimously honor at full value the beautifully romantic story that Ponce was seeking to find the fountain of youth.

            Founding of St. Augustine
Don Juan Ponce de Leon arrived in America with Columbus on his second voyage, 1493. Leon and his fellows, not Columbus, completed Spain’s claim to the New World.

THANK YOU!! Yes what is this bullshit about the margin of a win? HUH? Is that kind of like being a “little bit pregnant”????

      • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

Well here’s the way it worked all year at CNN. If Obama won by 4%, he won handily. If Clinton won by 4%, she “squeaked” a win.

      • flyarm

oh nooooo..not the “little bit pregnant” ..I just couldn’t stand that image!!

clear my mind , clear my mind…

        ok ..I survived that..lol

the only margin there is ..who won the most votes.

but what do i know ???..all i keep hearing is the problems with the voting machines in Pa today and the Obama team bitching about the problems….the very machines we in Fla got the bill to get rid of for the 2008 election and then were” punished by having our delegates stripped ” by Dean and Donna Brazile because the Fla republican legislature added an amendment to the bill changing the primary date..

so they can suck it up on those voting machine problems as far as I am concerned!

oh and has anyone mentioned the Hillary people being locked out of Texas caucus’s lately..or those busses of kids in Iowa????????

fly a 2004 Elected Delegate for the STATE OF FLORIDA ..WHO WILL BE WRITE-IN VOTING FOR MICKEY MOUSE IN NOVEMBER IF MY VOTE IS NOT COUNTED FOR THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE AND MY STATES DELEGATES VOTES ARE NOT COUNTED!

    • TeakWoodKite

I am going to print this as reminder that one person CAN make a difference. Thanks Flyarm.

Imagine how history might have been different in so many ways.

  • Tina

I have a lot of hope that Hillary will win this primary – anyone can notice that Obama is just a product of the media and PR campaign – a campaign that has controlled the news as well as blogs all over the web. No surprise since Obama has the money to mount an effective attack against Hillary. But still Hillary is fighting strong, that’s what makes her my choice.

    • sjc-tx

It really doesn;t matter what the spread is does it?? With all the millions he has spent, I think beating him by even 1 is significant!! F the punidits and carping heads!! They are just playing game.

Taylor’s ‘Hot Topics’ is currently down too. Don’t know if this is a routing issue or a coincidence or more Obama sponsored malfeasance.

Overwhelming support for Hillary in my precint today- unscientific I know, but the comments, the smiles, the prayers- all Pro-Hillary!

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

CNN was standing outside the polls asking them to forget who they voted for and tell them who they think will get the nomination.

Obama was on CNN talking about how even though he lost he won. Or some such thing.

    • Patrick Henry

Yep..First we Mushrooms got fed “BUSH BULLSHIT’
for Eight years…Now its Time for the MSM to Moved us on to the “BARACK BULLSHIT”

Since the media does so Little to Shed any Light on Thier BULLSHIT..They must like the “DARKSIDE” too..

    • sjc-tx

that is based on what the media is telling them. What else do they have to go on!?

  • alibe

Since they aren’t counting Fl and MI, they ought to balance that disenfranchisement out, with not counting two other states of equal delegate votes that Obama won. (Why should Hillary be punished fo something others did?) That way the current states that are being punished (MI and FL) won’t feel so bad and the 2 new states who will be disenfranchised won’t really care or won’t care enough to bother in the general election. Do you think they would mind? Instead of Hillary taking the hit, we will make the hit even. Of coarse did Obama even win two states as big as FL and MI???

    • flyarm

no American should ever be disenfranchised..ever..it sets a precedence that leads to anything but a democracy and goes against all values of our republic.
We go into foreign counries to promote Democracy while pissing on it here..no one should except the disenfranchisement of Florida or Michigan..it is un-american!

Many in our history have died for those votes..and fought for those votes and been maimed for those votes.

This is unacceptable..period..and anyone in the dem party that accepts this is in my opinion not a democrat and does not live up the the values this nation was founded on.

MEMO: Watch What They Do, Not What They Say

    To: Interested Parties
    From: The Clinton Campaign
    Date: April 22, 2008
MEMO: Watch What They Do, Not What They Say

The Obama campaign is attempting to pre-spin the results from tonight’s Pennsylvania primary by suggesting that Sen. Clinton should – and will – win.

But after the Obama campaign’s “go-for-broke” Pennsylvania strategy, after their avalanche of negative ads, negative mailers and negative attacks against Sen. Clinton, after their record-breaking spending in the state, a fundamental question must be asked: Why shouldn’t Sen. Obama win?

Sen. Obama’s supporters – and many pundits – have argued that the delegate “math” makes him the prohibitive frontrunner. They have argued that Sen. Clinton’s chances are slim to none. So if he’s already the frontrunner, if he’s had six weeks of unlimited resources to get his message out, shouldn’t he be the one expected to win tonight? If not, why not?

As the phrase goes, watch what they do not what they say.

There’s a reason Sen. Obama and his campaign have ratcheted up their year-long assault on Sen. Clinton’s character and ended the Pennsylvania campaign with a flurry of harsh negative attacks. It’s because they know that a loss in Pennsylvania will raise troubling questions about his candidacy and his ability to take on John McCain in the general election. And it’s because they know that the race is neck and neck and tonight’s contest is a measure of where the campaign stands.

The reality is this: both candidates need a combination of pledged and super delegates to secure the nomination – and either candidate can reach the required number. The press and the pundits have repeatedly counted Sen. Clinton out and she has repeatedly proved them wrong. The vote in the bellwether state of Pennsylvania is another head to head measure of the two candidates and of the coalition they will put together to compete and win in November.

No amount of spin from the Obama campaign will change that – nor will it explain away anything less than a victory by Sen. Obama.

    • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity

Heck Jeff, you got more Clinton stuff than I do today.

      • flyarm

I just got an invitation to a conference call for a campaign update call with Senator Hillary Clinton and Campaign Chairman, Terry McAuliffe.

did anyone else get this invitation??
I can’t do it though, as i have appointment at the time of the call.

    HELLO??

Susan might find this tidbit interesting TV news has not picked it up:

Thousands in Pa. switch parties, many to vote for Obama

Since Jan. 1, more than 178,000 people in Pennsylvania have changed their party affiliations, and 92 percent of them have gone from Republican or independent to Democrat.

    http://www.mcclatchydc.com/100/story/34368.html

    • Vimes

rjj, why or how does an increase in Dem party registration equivocate to voting for Obama? We’ve all learned that polls may mean zilch. Haven’t we?

    • TeakWoodKite

Early on, Obama was in Pennsylvania actively recruiting “votes for a day” ,repub’s”

NQ has done articals on it, including texts of mailers.

  • John

Obama outspent Hillary 4-1` in Pennsylvania, had three weeks to campaign up and down the state– and tonight, he’ll try to tell us that a loss is a win. And the media has already spun it that way.

The Bullshit never ends, does it?

    • Vimes

And I think its telling that he has already left the state. But, maybe that is because of his arrogance and belief in his pundits’ and fixed DNC influence?

  • bell

stop obama is down, savage politics has also something wrong with it and I don’t how many other pro Hillary sides are having problems.

    • TRUTHSHOUTER

I don’t how many other pro Hillary sides are having problems.

His site was hacked…he forgot to pay his bill.

  • http://caucusdebacle.blogspot.com AwfulCaucusSkew

The Deal Changer for superdelegates is to know that Hillary actually won Iowa and her house-bound older women voters were also prevented from voting in all those other caucus states Mr. Obama trumpets. Absentee Ballots were forbidden in Iowas & caucuses beyond. 15% of Hillary’s Voters were disappeared in Caucus States.

Note that in Texas Hillary’s voters were plus 4 in the primary and minus 12 in the caucus on the same day — a 16% skew! Ask YOUR superdelegates if 15% of Mr. Obama’s black support or young support was forbidden participation, would there not be an outcry, an outrage? Of course. Rightly so.

Every 8th call (of 2400 calls) to a passionate Hillary supporter I made starting mid-December got me 87-yr-old Vera, “I can’t caucus, honey, I’m a cripple. If I can’t be there in my body, I don’t count.” 82-yr-old Ruth, “Just because I’m sick, doesn’t mean I can’t think.” Lorna, “Oh, no, dear, I dare not go out to caucus, I’m off-balance.”

These older women are a bastion of the Democratic Party for the Fall. Why do you think an astounding 28% of Hillary supporters said they wouldn’t vote Democratic if Hillary weren’t the nominee? Because they were cheated of their voice in the caucuses.

This is a very big deal and EXACTLY the kind of grotesque voter suppression that the superdelegates were designed to account for. PLEASE tell YOUR superdelegates. They know generally that Caucuses Stink, but I just happened to stumble upon this hidden epidemic of older women house-bound by a dread of falling when I began to keep track after Vera, Ruth, Lorna. The so-called pledged delegate & popular votes count is a farce. These voters are utterly left out of that count!
