An embarrassing and untoward editorial from The Old Gray Lady. To put it mildly, you are far better than this.

There is a very good reason why you are writers and editors and the high-priced political consultants have their own jobs. To put it bluntly: Stay in the shallow end of the political pool and stick with spliced commas.

Senator Obama has not been properly vetted, much as your paper failed in its duty to help Americans vet the supposed intelligence which led up to the Iraq War, or failed to capture fabricating employees.

There are numerous reasons why the Times is slipping without any hopes of righting itself in terms of advertising revenue and distribution. This editorial is a succinct display of those reasons.

If you decide it is your obligation to play the new Pat Leahy to Mrs. Clinton, do not be surprised when your readers decide to mimic Dick Cheney to your Leahy.

Hillary won an enormous victory tonight, and your desire to have the referees prematurely stop the contest demonstrates the same lack of resilience and strength which has just seen Obama both turn down a debate in North Carolina and decide not to talk with reporters for 10 days.

John Adams would be disgusted with both you and the Illinois senator.

Please let the NYT how you feel about their cheap shot on Hillary Clinton in the wake of her stirring win.

Hillary did really well 70% of the catholic vote in Pa. When you factor in Latinos, another huge block of the catholic vote…Large populations in the southwest and both coasts….For the first time in years the catholic vote becomes really relevant. OBAMESSIAH wll not be able to make the inroads with this vote in Nov. Although McInsane with his association with Agee the freak has been a little hurt in terms of distasteful hesitation in the minds of Catholc voters and OBAMESSIAH will try to exploit this. he will not succeed. OBAMESSIAH will not succeed because catholics know there is a big difference between an expediant endorsement by FreakAgee and 20 yrs. of indoctrination in BLACK (SEPARATIST) LIBERATION THEOLOGY, which most catholics find deeply disturbing…..Caholics are very aware of Liberation Theology and it’s history with the church throughout Latin America. When your candidacy disturbs voting blocks of two of the traditional orthodox religions ( catholics and Jews ) even in his largely protestant country notice should be taken. I would suggest to Kennedy and Kerry, GO TO MASS and have a chat with some everyday catholics.

Hillary’s speech was, as usual, just great. She always engages with her audience and it is apparent that they are with her 100%. So few of the pundidiots ever notice or comment about her speaking ability. But then she is Hillary Clinton and must never be shown in a favorable light. Ever.

Evidently the people are seeing through all these pundidiots and their drivel.

I remember years ago when a JFK speech on television ended and my mother turned to my dad and said, “Now some idiot is gonna come on and tell all us morons what he meant by what he said”. She had it right then and the people have it right now.

I didn’t watch the returns last night. I swooped in periodically to get numbers and swooped right back to whatever nonsensical program I was watching.

The pundidiots on CNN, I care too much for my aging intellect to ever watch the pinheads on MSNBC, particularly Borger and Toobin can be relied upon to make a case against Hillary Clinton no matter what the numbers are. But then Obama is still, to a certain extent, the media’s darling. Real Americans with real brains shouldn’t like that much. They should remember that GeeDubya was the media’s darling too. Look how well that worked.

After the votes are counted, the only thing that matters to me, is what the numbers say. Pundidiots have long since lost their entertainment value and are now just bores that get in the way of a rational discourse and an honest election.

I’m steeling myself to go over to Taegan Goddard’s site and learn why Hillary’s win was a loss, up is down, and black is white.

Then I can read the posts, and learn why Hillary only won PA because she’s a bitch, but she didn’t really even win, and she needs to quit now, and that the racists won again, except she didn’t really win.

On another topic: once again, we find in Pennsylvania what will never be mentioned by the media: that the real “racists” among the voters are the African-Americans. Or does MSNBC and CNN think that black voters keep going for Barack 9-1 because they prefer his Health Care plan?

The article discusses a high-end baby clothing boutique in New York in the early 1980s with ties to Dohrn. Customer identities were stolen to create phony IDF documentation to use to rent get-away cars for robberies to get cash for more terrorist activities in the U.S. No indictments came out of this either, so Ayers’ parental connections may have helped them skate free of this mess as well (and Obama wasn’t 8 years old at this time).

my wife is a very easy going woman. but she came to me this morning with the nytimes open and folded to the editorial page.

before she said a word, i could see on her face she was really angry. i said “what’s wrong?”

she said “this”

and pushed the paper to me pointing toward that dumb-assed lead editorial.

“they finally pushed me over the edge”, she said.

she’s been gong back and forth about canceling her subscription out of anger at frank rich and maureen dowd.

i suggested to her that she cancel her subscription

temporarily,

say for a month or so.

that not only deprives the nytimes and its business associates of revenue

but it costs them money to process the cancellation.

then you call back in a month or so and re-subscribe.

more paper work for the nytimes.

i doubt she’ll do this because she likes her morning paper and there is more to a newspaper than bad political journalism.

still it was a sweet fantasy.

the only way to discipline a media corporation is to affect their bottom line.

I left this comment last night on that nasty editorial and it wasn’t included. I don’t know what part they didn’t like–the truth about the sexism or calling him Kool and his Gang…

I consider it part of the ongoing sexism and misogyny in this primary that Hillary Clinton gets blamed for negativity. Have you not been paying attention to the nasty remarks made by Sen Obama and his surrogates for months now?

It’s the same ole game: if a man makes a comment, then he’s being strong and powerful but if a woman makes a similar statement, she’s being negative.

I am so disappointed in the Time’s constant attacks on Senator Clinton. At what point are you going to notice that the voting public respects and trusts her.

The majority of your so-called liberal editorial board seem to filled with bitterness and envy. Perhaps that’s why they are in the tank for Kool Aid and his Gang.

Tweety Matthews called it an “excellent speech” last night, saying she was confident, competent and calm and didn’t go into a stemwinder like she had previously.

Then the punditry took the usual turn… how she spoke like she just wanted Obama out of the way….is that the new meme?

Donna Brazile, a Democratic political strategist and a superdelegate, said in an appearance on CNN that she will make her decision about Clinton or Obama public in the coming weeks and hopes other superdelegates will decide on a nominee well before the Democratic convention in August.

Brazile said she has already made the choice for president in her “heart” but will wait to announce which candidate she will support in the coming weeks.

Hillary is not being negative when she has to come out repeatedly and confront Obama on his continual lying about her and her programs.

Obama lies about Hillary’s healthcare plan, NAFTA, her character, her Iraq vote, her stance on Iraq, his stance on Iraq, the lobbyist money he “doesn’t” take in from big oil, drugs, subprime lenders; he said he only took a small amount of money from Rezko, as of now it’s at $250,000; he didn’t hear his racist preacher, then he did hear him, and so much more. He tells us one thing and tells Canada don’t believe it, it’s only political rhetoric; he says one thing on Iraq, his advisors say something else.

I found it greatly insulting when he lied about President Bill Clinton’s Greatest Economic Expansion in History. He repeatedly lied by first stating that we went through “decades” of economic suppresion, then when he thought people may not be catching on he specifically said the “Bush and Clinton” administrations. If anyone is stupid enough to believe that they better take a class in recent history. That was REAL CHANGE. Obama repeated a blatant lie and attempt at deceit that is unforgivable.

Hillary Clinton simply speaks the truth and she is accused of being negative. She has every right to try to correct the lies that Obama is spreading about her. She has every right to point out that Obama has no experience and no record. He’s a vote-dodging slouch. Hillary has been much too soft on Obama, just like the media.

He can give a good speech but he has no plans, no details, and should not be trusted to lead this country, especially at a crucial time like this. This is not a personality contest, this is serious business. Hillary should make every effort to try to convey this to the young who are caught up in a rush.

The media missed the whole reason why people are insulted by Obama’s stupid and hurtful “bitter” remark. The insult is not in being called bitter. The insult is in being described as prejudicial or racist. …………. “or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment”………….

Obama skated through this whole campaign with the help of the media until in one debate he was finally asked some serious questions and he couldn’t handle it. Ferraro was right, if he was white he would not be where he is because he has no record of accomplishments, only a record of shady friends.
