A Bitter Cracker’s Prayer

The following was brought to us courtesy of Hoosierhoops, an old friend of this blog. Hoosier is in California awaiting the return of his son from Iraq. The boy was supposed to have been in earlier this week. Needless to say the family is on edge and eager to drown the boy in tears and hugs. Our thoughts and hopes are with them.While stressed about his son’s trip home, Hoosier still has his sense of humor and offered up this little prayer. (Bowing your head and closing your eyes is optional):

Oh Obama..who art in Chicago
Hussien be thy name
Thy election come
Thy will be done, in Washington as it is in Chicago
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our bitterness, as we forgive them whom cling to thier guns bitterly.
And lead us not into debates about policy
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever
Amen

        Well, I think it is laughable myself, however, ayers was young once and look what he did? Not sure what to think of it. The very idea of it scares me.

          He’s young enough to organize them and give out tips. And remember, he said he wouldn’t rule out doing “more”. After all, he feels he didn’t “do enough”.

    Since Rev Wright has once again appeared and a tad OT, but overlooked all along since the March 18th speech to excuse his relationship, some words Obama used in defense of Rev Wright in the lengthy speech to counteract his choice and judgement, these words stood out for numerous implications:

    I am married to a black American who carries within her the blood of slaves and slaveowners – an inheritance we pass on to our two precious daughters.
    and
    I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community.

    Also part of Obama’s genetic makeup is muslim, 50% of Obama’s DNA is muslim by birth. His Father’s side of the family is of the sorts depicked in a prior No Quarter blog, violent and extreme muslimists!

    From Obama’s other statement:
    Given my background, my politics, and my professed values and ideals, there will no doubt be those for whom my statements of condemnation are not enough.

    How can we be of the belief since Obama does no want to discuss his associations, his beliefs, his politics, his values and his ideals can we believe he will not disown his Kenyan father’s families beliefs after his defending a preacher like Wright?

    No Obama cannot have it at his chosing, and it is fitting now simply because this is a man asking people to trust him in defending America against Muslim extremists, of whom such types of muslims is part of his genetic make-up and who’s blood is an inheritance in Obama’s own blood and Wright’s blood does not flow in Obama’s veins?

      Wow! Well, that explains it. If Barry can’t “disown” any individual member of the black community because he is married to Michelle, then it’s entirely understandable why he can’t disown Louis Farrahkan, who is also an individual member of the black community. Or New Black Panther Party Chairman Minister Khallid Abdul Muhammad, another member. (Who else meet’s Barry’s criteria for non-disownment?)

    Maybe Obama could discuss that in a debate, how TORT reform didn’t make insurance any cheaper, one of the selling points that pundits made on the topic.

      Oh yeah Tort reform helped a lot of people. Mostly insurers. My nephew is a physician and he told me his malpractice insurance went UP not down. This was all a sham and it was also helpful to Donald Rumsfeld who is named personally in the aspartame class action–for being on the board of the company and using his strong arm tactics to force the FDA to approve a substance they didn’t want to approve.

        Nothing really changes your perspective on teh war like having a family member, a loved one in the line of fire.

        I think, sometimes, the decision makers in Washington have a total disconnect, and are unable to really understand what is at risk, from lives, to finance, in terms of Iraq.

        I don’t know whether that is a function of the current day Pentagon, or a reflection of Bush and Cheney’s criminality and stupidity, but, boy, I wonder what makes it real to them, the war, the utter catastrophic failure of their decisions, in terms of the future of the United States?

        Maybe they’re just not qualified, and it’s a reflection of their overall impotency as decision makers, they’ve pretty much lived their lives that way — obtuse failures.

        I hope the new president, whether it’s Clinton or McCain, can function intelligently.

        This is the stupidest adminstration, ever.

        A lot of work ahead for the US, playground time is over, now that Cheney and Bush are on their way out.

    I pray for the troops every day. My son has done two tours in Iraq and multiple missions in the middle east. Daughter in law as well.
    I will never forget the day my son hit the ground here at home after his first tour. Pins and needles every day for a week until he landed. It is very hard to wait with no word.

      Melissa, how did you cope with it, in terms of getting through, emotionally?

      I figure it’s up to God, whatever happens, but I really worry more about his ability to understand, and grasp, the horrors around him.

      He’s very young, I hope he can make some sense of the things he will see, returning, to make it better, instead of drowning like so many others.

      Removing the safeguards of the Geneva conventions hurt our soldiers psychologically. The psychic structure by which they make decisions, their psychological infrastructure, (civil behavior in the context of war, the rules) was removed, by a bunch of bird brained morons.

      Cheney’s guys are too dumb to understand that abstract, but do you see what I’m saying?

      The GC provided a psychological support for young soldiers, telling them how to behave, giving them a sense of security, Dad, the superego, if you will, brakes on the car, creating mental and emotional structure out of the chaos of war. Without those rules, their minds are really no more than dust caught in a twister. Was that some new army battle plan, weakening your military?

      The use of brutality is the worst psy ops you can run on your army, my goodness, Cheney might as well be the enemy, he’s so stupid, so incompetent, and inept. Rambo is not real life, and sure enough, they lost the wars.
