Have to say I agree with the majority here on the FOX/CNN/MSNBC commentaries. I too, started seriously watching FOX during the primaries and mostly because they were the only ones who gave Hillary a fair chance. After watching for quite some time, I realized that the other networks were FAUX, not FOX.

Olbermann and Matthews and Maddow are so in the tank for “O” and CNN carries water for him, as well. I just love when Blitzer feigns “balance” in his journalism, but then, in the end, falls into line with the rest. Anderson Cooper makes me ill and I haven’t enjoyed that time slot since he stole it from Aaron Brown, anyway. And then there is Campbell Brown and her sorry replacement who, during the primaries even stood up for good ole Jeremiah Wright. Give me a break! Candy Crowley, Ed Henry, sometimes John King, and mostly Lou Dobbs are the only palatable ones there. Not much to choose from, huh?

So. all-in-all, not surprising that so many of the American public is watching FOX. They earned some respect…..and now I too, bristle a bit when the less than favorables make fun of them.

It is not a case of they are not still try to sell US. It is case of our not buying what they are selling, following their betrayal of fairness, and the fact that we woke up!

You might wish to consider the fact that, first of all, a 2year old poll is not recent. ……

And secondly, that that poll was conducted long before we relatively informed, non-Fox watching, former Democrats, made the transition.

I think if you conducted it today, you would find No Quarter commenters and readers alone, plus all other liked-minded, newly awakened voters, have long since changed that statistic.

Lastly, your statement re O’Reillys viewers avg age being 71, that is not just a lie, it is a damn lie. do the stats before coming here with utter BS.

So I turned off the news. What a bunch of sycophants. Our own Pravda.

I’ve started watching Jon Stewart and Colbert again. (I had stopped watching them, too).

But for news I read 2 local papers and the NYT on the weekend (can’t really stand them, either but I need the Sunday crossword). I can’t even bear the local tv news.

And I’m grateful to the links I find here to the important stories I can find on-line. Thank you to all of you who read and watch stuff so
I don’t have to!

Love the cartoon. I have to say it warms my cold heart to see Olbermann lose to Fox.

They both suck.

Fox may have more average viewers because it is the only right-wing network. All the people from the right go there. Whereas moderates and lefties split their viewing with the rest of the channels.

I do know that a LOT of moderates, progressive, and liberals, especially those who were for Hillary Clinton, now watch Fox and have nothing to do with the other cable stations. We are unforgiving! They trashed Hillary (and sometimes Bill) and did not vet Obama–that was not OK and never will be.
