As a black woman that comment is patently offensive – considering he is implying that said previous black women were prostitutes. Moreover, he only casts women in their roles as sexual conquests. It’s not like there has never been a black woman in the White House doing the actual work of the nation. Condoleeza comes readily to mind, but when he refers to her as “Condoskeeza” and “Condamnesia” it’s pretty easy to gather that he doesn’t respect her.

Great video!

I don’t have the stomach to watch Wright’s bullshit. I tuned in for a few seconds and his singing was enough to get me to switch channels. And besides, CNN offered a live feed from Wilmington, NC with Hillary.

But I have looked around the net a bit and found an interesting diary at MyDD in which the author states that Wright said:

white kids use the left side of their brains and black kids use the right side of their brains to learn

That sounded crazy enough for me.

And the link above in which Wright said the stuff about a legal black woman in bed in the White House was thoroughly disgusting.

I wrote a diary earlier today in prelude to this speech tonight and Wright’s in general coming out of the closet. Something Donna Brazile said this morning rubbed me the wrong way and I couldn’t stop from writing this. If you would like to read the diary at my new blog here it is.

You know, every African American woman I know is getting more and more pissed off and it’s not at Hillary. Israeli Spy Case Will Name More Spies

Israeli sources are reporting that the FBI investigation of the Ben-Ami Kadish spy case resulted from a leak coming from inside the government of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. The information on Kadish and on a number of other Americans who have spied for Israel was provided to the FBI anonymously, leading to the Bureau’s opening of a full investigation. One source reports that the National Security Agency was provided with Yosef Yagur’s current phone number and address and was able to obtain corroborating information on the case by tapping the phone. Yagur, who is now retired and living in Israel, was Kadish’s case officer, handling the cases of both him and Jonathan Pollard. Before the anonymous leak of information, the FBI had no idea that Kadish had been a spy for Israel. Now it is investigating a number of US citizens, including an individual who held very senior security positions in the Clinton and Bush White Houses.

Since this is an open thread, I thought I’d just jot this down…

It has occurred to me, despite the thrashing the US has taken in the press, ostensibly, there is still a lot of life left in this country, the people, the military, intelligence, perhaps pronouncements of it’s demise have been premature.

It really doesn’t seem to be a BUsh/Cheney/AxelRove/Kristol nation, after all.

In certain quarters, given how BAD it seemed 5 years ago, this could be disconcerting.

I write movie scripts, I try anyway, as a creative exercise, and I suppose I shouldn’t let an idea out, but,as I won’t get the thing made anyway, I was thinking of a script where, after the fall of the USSR, certain factions in our government( sort of like an X file thing) allow other countries to think the US is/has fallen, just to see how they react to the new world order, working backward, such as it is, to see where the pieces would fall in a post USSR nuclear world, as a part of defense…

loose nukes and all that, huge corruption, new coalitions, shifting of the economies, china as an emerging power, terrorism, asymmetric war…but knowing, all along the US still had the real power, you know, like republicans TRY to troll, set up your opponents as the front runner, and then control the situation from the outset…

And I know wars, and all that are a big thing,and wouldnt make sense, (I have to work that out yet) but you know, governments play nuclear poker, and it still has to be done within the parameters of a democracy

I know, OUT there, but if written well, it could be fun…

just an idea haven’t figured out how to write yet…
