N.C. Gov. Endorses; Hillary Webcast

UPDATE: Hillary is on O’Reilly’s The Factor, Fox News, tomorrow.

UPDATE: V4Hill grabbed a great part of Gov. Mike Easley’s endorsement that the original video (now the second one) missed…. a great line about Rocky Balboa!

The governor also has some great things to say about Hillary’s ability to get things done (and not just talk about “yes we will”).

NORTH CAROLINA, Hillary on Gov. Mike Easley’s endorsement:

“The Governor and I have something in common: We think that results matter.”

North Carolina Governor Mike Easley Endorses Hillary for President

North Carolina Governor Mike Easley today announced his endorsement of Hillary for President.

“I am supporting Hillary Clinton because she has a passion for improving the lives of all Americans. She will be a president who stands up for people across North Carolina – and this country – every day in the White House,” said Governor Easley. “I know she will get to work immediately making education and the economy her top priorities for our nation. She is ready to lead our country and has the ability to deliver.”

Easley was elected governor in November 2000 and re-elected in 2004. He has restored fiscal discipline to North Carolina’s finances while also increasing investments in education and infrastructure, key components to recruiting and retaining high quality jobs and industry for the state.

“I am honored to have the support of Governor Easley, whose vision and persistence have made higher education affordable and accessible for North Carolinians,” said Senator Clinton. “I look forward to working with him in our efforts to turn around the economy and rebuild the middle class.”

Great endorsement for Clinton…..Govenors like Easley are effective.
I think she will take both IN. and NC.

Speaking of NC…what about the debate? I need to point out that, yesterday, CNN’s Jack Cafferty made yet another reference to physically hurting Hillary. I believe that it rivals the KO comment about beating her up. He stuttered after saying it, maybe because it excited him.

CNN’s Jack Cafferty on April 28:
“She says that she will debate him any place at any time, adding that it could even be done on the back of a flat-bed truck. He would probably prefer to run over her with a flat-bed truck at this point.” (emphasis mine)

Please!!! Someone help me with this…Would this comment be appropriate, acceptable, tolerated, describing any other candidate? Would a media spokesperson use this violent imagery to describe any other rivalry? Or even, switch the image, to imply anyone other than Hillary getting physically hurt? This terrifies me!!!

There is a way out of this mess when they count FL and MI. It would make the delegate count pretty even but Hillary won the pop votes. SD then can throw their support to Hillary. I hope Gov Easley can help convince some pathetic pols in DC to do the right thing.

I’m sure the Hillary campaign knows about Cafferty’s slimy remark. I’m hoping the Secret Service has paid the asshole a visit. I think he needs a refresher on how not to suggest harming a former FIRST LADY. Surely there’s a law against it. I know they take threats against former Presidents VERY seriously.

I’m so proud of my governor right now. There was a lot of pressure for him to get on the Obama bandwagon, but he stood up for what he believes in. I wish he could run for a third term.

I heard that. Cafferty is a slimy jerk,I can’t stand these millionaires pretending to speak for the “little people.” HIs “letters” section is always heavily anti-Hillary (surprise surprise) and when a pro-Hillary letter makes it through the filter, he usually dismisses it with a “you aren’t paying attention” comment.

The funniest thing I heard Dobbs say yesterday was in response to Cafferty– “gee, I learn something new every day- I didn’t know that Japan and Germany actually ASKED American soldiers to stay in their countries, I didnt know we were their GUESTS, thanks for that info, Jack!” Really snarky- and totally clueless because yes indeed, Germany and Japan DID ask the US Govt to maintain a military presence in Germany and Japan. Dobbs is just an idiot.

Awesome endorsement! I love the fact that Hillary was able to point out that they’d worked together on a past initiative — that really gives muscle to the endorsement.

Damn.. she’s looked so presidential today. Something has changed…

I’m sure if an Obama supporter said this, you all would be making a really really big deal about the homophobic implications of this.
