It appears that THE ONE who would end all wars, by merely walking into the WH, is not working out as the anti-war folks thought.

Dead bombed civilians under GWB? An outrage! Under Obama? Crickets.

You know this is one area that the Far Left has been amazingly silent on: the uptick in the drone attacks on Pakistan and an increased [though short of recommendations] presence in Afghanistan.

And what is the plan militarily? I listened to Hillary yesterday about this multi-pronged approach including development, aide and cooperation. That all sounds good to me as long as there are tight handles on where exactly the money is going.

But what are our military personnel suppose to be doing? Training, policing, protecting the border areas? I still haven’t heard anyone really speak to that. And I’m assuming there is a plan. Right?

During the Vietnam was rather than hit civilian targets (as ordered) some pilots would jettison their load over the ocean, fly around and then return to the carrier. These are the guys that figured out that the Vietnam war was a dirty rotten lie by the white house.

Weary Barry ask for 83 billion extra funding for his 2 (right) wars for this year (after Bush’s funding) and then asked for, what, 120 billion for next year in the budget.

Then Nancy Pelosi comes up this weak with saying they need an additional 94 billion dollars for their (right) wars.

I remember when the Democrats were complaining that Bush was spending 4 billion dollars a month. Who knew they were upset that that wasn’t ENOUGH!

And now, Obama is steadily increasing the attacks on innocent Afghans. Murdering women and children. And it is always the people who need the most help that will suffer from our actions.

The families of those killed need to know that Obama is not even eligible to order this, as he is not contractually president. They need to prosecute him as a war criminal.

They should sue him personally for damages, since there is no way he can prove he’s actually legal president of these United States. Any Pakistani lawyers read these blogs?

I agree with candymarl — the hypocrisy is stunning. Why aren’t the media in high dudgeon over this and the general ramping up of war in Afghanistan — or for that matter the failure to withdraw troops from Iraq as promised early in his campaign, delaying the closure of Gitmo, FISA, etc. If this POTUS raped a nun the media headline would be, “PRESIDENT IS DEEP INTO RELIGION”.

While I suspected during the campaign that Obama was only an opportunistic blatherer, I still held out a little hope that he would deliver when it came to war. WRONG. What substantive change has this POTUS presented? My fear that HRC would be ill-used as SOS is coming back. SHE’S on the firing line while our lazy POTUS is lapping up sycophancy. Just wait, she’s going to take more heat than he will over the state of foreign affairs.

In case no one was not watching the primary debates, BO said he would send missile strikes into “no mans land” if given “actionable intelligence”. If the Intel was right and there were “targets”, then women and children died, how do you square it?

What I do not understand is why BO is not aware of how the Soviets bombed the crap out the civilian populations in Afghanistan, while we started a proxy war with Russia, which spawned many an evil thing.

The Afghan and Pakistan people that live in this region remember well the last 20 years. They will, without hesitation, make a connection that the US is no different than the Soviets.

Why are these folks still in a Rumsfield state of mind?

I used to have a concern that BO, if elected, could not close the deal. Now I am concerned that he can’t even get a deal.

Love the name of the manufacturer, Jailbreak Toys. Look at the Inauguration one, they have him in a gold suit, like Elvis or Liberace. They also brag about having donated one dollar to his campaign for each one sold. Oh, and they raised $10,000. So that means that somewhere out in America, or the rest of the world, there are 10,000 Obummer action figures. I wonder how many of them are still intact. I know mine wouldn’t be, if I had one. You can also get an unpainted one, so you can do him up anyway you like. Perhaps with prison stripes? They show some of the customer painted ones, he is done up like Robin Hood, among other things. One of the customer-painted ones has the title “Suckadelic” on the base. Yeah, he took the country for suckers, he sure did.

These wars for bogus reasons, these bailouts, these undermining of foreign governments and economies: all makes perfect sense when you look at who it benefits.
This is not a case of US strategy gone wrong: this is the strategy: to make money and increase the power of these groups. It’s working great.

Well, none of this is surprising considering Obama has retained George W’s Secretary of Defense. I don’t really know about the rest of the power structure for military/defense, but I don’t remember hearing of any earthshaking changes. So until something happens to dispel the notion, I will continue to suspect that Obama is really the Presidential pick of the Neocons. They have been playing both parties for a pack of fools. Not being fools themselves, it is unlikely they spelled out in detail all of their plans for the New American Century, or whatever they call their grand vision. Right now I see a two prong attack against Muslim extremists, one military, which Obama is obligingly continuing and the other sort of a global psy-op with a messianic, dark-skinned American President with a Muslim name. Who can resist?

I saw a great bumper sticker the other day. “Barack is the sound I make when I vomit.”

Sadly, the majority of Americans have no idea that one is bombing Pakistan. The news is full of gardens and dinner dates and that cute ‘lil doggy and a swingset for the girls and Mechelle’s fashion (non)sense. When I ask people what they think about what is going on in Pakistan, they have no idea anything is going on in Pakistan.

When will the MSM ever report real news? Will they ever again? Unbelievable!

Air Force, Navy and other coalition warplanes dropped a record number of bombs in Afghanistan during April, Air Forces Central figures show. In the past month, warplanes released 438 bombs, the most ever.

April also marked the fourth consecutive month that the number of bombs dropped rose, after a decline starting last July. The munitions were released during 2,110 close-air support sorties.

The actual number of airstrikes was higher because the AFCent numbers don’t include attacks by helicopters and special operations gunships.

The numbers also don’t include strafing runs or launches of small missiles.

Over Iraq, 26 bombs were released during 767 strike sorties.

The killing of civilians will be the reason we get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. The citizens will totally rebel, as they are going to do in Pakistan.
We may attempt throw out the Taliban in Pakistan, but the government will be the one to go.

The DRONE attacks (against the Geneva Convention because they insidcriminately kill civilians) have supposedly killed 16 “Targets” and over 500 civilians. Each civilian represents 100 or more relatives or tribe members that will seek revenge.
Each death breeds more fighters.
