another acorn drops

This is a follow up to the open thread about the new fraud charges brought against ACORN, as covered by Glenn Beck.

You can see my original open thread here.

Here is the continuation of the ACORN saga. Apparently, not only does the National Spokesman for ACORN play the race card, he’s a creepy lech, too.

Beck talks with DC Examiner’s Kevin Mooney here:

Wow. Good stuff covered by Beck.

Of course, we know that’s ACORN’s motto. Barack was telling voters who didn’t attend his training sessions in Chicago a few tips, “Get in their face. Argue with them. Tell them anything to make your case”.

Obama is after all, head Organizer. He worked for the and trained them. This is how they are running our government now. Patrick Fitzgerald had legal names for their actions, but they call it Organizing.

He’s using these methods in-what is still amazing that our presidenot has played King Maker in our Auto Industry, on his deal making for Chrysler with their lenders.

And, we know Weary Barry has about the same level of respect for women as apparently THIS loser ACORN sent as their spokesman.

Good coverage too about the link between SEIU and ACORN. Come to think of it, they sure work and in hand. ACORN rallies folks to intimidate SEIU’s clients on contract talks, etc.

Keep going Beck, you are doing great!

btw, hasn’t our Attorney General appointed a independent counsel to investigate the charges of this administration, with their threats, intimidation, you know, coercion?

This is all unbelievable. But that is not to say that I don’t believe it.

There are so many uninformed, uninterested, too-busy to-think-about it people who just wouldn’t believe it if you carried your laptop around and stopped them and forced them to see these videos.

“Conspiracy theory!” they would say and go on their way. “Oh, but Beck is on Fox” they would say and go on their way.

I am so afraid we are outnumbered here that nothing will really wake up the public in time.

In Larry’s post yesterday, he questioned whether we’re ready for a third party. I am afraid that the only one will get right now is the U.S. Socialist Party formed by ACORN and the SEIU, which the Democratic Party will become.

Forgot to say “Hi” to our little anonymouse from the last ACORN thread. I’m sure she/he is peeking out of her little hole waiting to say the same thing over and over and pretend it makes sense–kind of reminded me of the ACORN guy’s defense on the first video. Her/His supposed concern as a Kucinich follower smells fishy to me.

  • Diana L. C.

Remember that the last ACORN thread was about charges in Nevada. Remember the primary in Nevada when O’s campaign fought very hard to make it possible for people to caucus at the casinos instead of their regular caucus locations? Hillary campaign fought that and lost. Is my memory wrong here, but didn’t the SEIU have something to do with that? And weren’t there accusations that people would not be allowed to leave their casino posts to caucus unless they voted for O?

Not sure how I got this back in my head. Someone with more information should answer this, please.

Thank God for Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity!

Thank you for posting this excerpt of Beck v. ACORN. I had heard about this, but had not seen it.
It’s vigilance like yours that will eventually help part the clouds and let the sun back in. But, til then, how totally depressing this country is!

Why do I have this sneaky feeling that ACORN is being used again.
Why do I have this feeling that some of the Dems filing the charges are tying to save their jobs for the coming year by looking like they are not running with the Obama pack or maybe covering for something else going on with the Obama pack.

Why do I have this weird feeling that the Dems are again covering up something far worse…

Remember this guys Obama is tanking lately

What better way to take people minds off a Dems support of Obama then to go after ACORN again.

What better way to get people’s minds off other national and world wide issues.

Remember Obama and his friends are famous for their slight of hand tricks…Watch the Obama hand flutter loudly around while the other Obama hand sneaks in for another slam dunk.

Did you know that while everyone was screaming about AIG, Freddie and Fannie were giving out bonuses too—Hmmmm Only place you could see that was on the Fox shows— Why.

  • Diana L. C.

That feeling has been gnawing at me also.

I think we should all get together as the anti-war protest movement did in the 60′s/70′s and threaten not to send our share of federal tax dollars that would go to fund the war—BUT we could do it for ACORN funding percentages.

I thank God every day for Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and Greta Vansustern. When I watch Glenn though, he seems to be running the revolution. I’m 110% behind him, but sometimes I worry. Does Glenn have a body guard?

On his radio show a couple of weeks ago he talked about how O’Reilly is standing up for him, even though O’Reilly pretends he doesn’t like “weepy” Beck. Glenn said that people are going after him, going through his garbage, etc., trying to get dirt on him. He said if he goes missing one day, we’d know why.

We have got to stop these people and exposure is the only way. I speak about these issues/Obama truths until I am blue in the face and will continue to do so, even though I am called racist, America hater, conspiracy theorist, lunatic. I will not stop. Some people have to be brave and willing to continue their message of truth. When your story does not change and you are persistent, people eventually listen or at least wonder about what you are saying.

Keep going, Glenn. I stand with you. I also stand with the other truthtellers here at No Quarter.

    pm317,

Thanks for these additional videos. This is all very interesting. The non-partisan idea of community organizing is a good one, and I am happy to see that there are people trying to straighten out an organization and take it back to its original purpose.

The statement one woman made about how some people don’t see when they are being used really hit home for me.

I know a young man who has been harrassed at work by some co-workers. It’s more constant teasing and poking fun at him. None of it is dangerous, but it just makes his job very unpleasant. They even got the manager involved once pretending it was an innocent April Fool’s joke.

This kid suffered all through high school because he has a learning disability that is pretty rare but makes it very hard for him to do some of the things that come normally for others in school. He works hard and tries to take his job seriously.

He NEEDS this low-paying job and is afraid to appear stupid if he stands up too much for himself.

Sometimes I just want to barge in and make complaints for him.

So I do now get extremely angry at the ACORN people taking terrible advantage of these people and then letting them take the fall.

Let’s all hope someone in Congress has the guts to get an investigation going.

Glenn Beck is making a brave attempt to expose ACORN, unfortunately, most people will just chalk it up to partisan politics. ACORN was probably a great idea at one time. It’s purpose was to bring onto the voting rolls people who had not been participating before, but this year it morphed into something quite different. I never thought I would feel this way, but I do not want to see everyone voting, unless they first become informed citizens. I keep thinking of the story of the mentally impaired young man who was taken to vote by an ACORN representative, and then told how to vote, (of course Obama), when he said he really wanted to vote McCain. It was disgusting. I do not understand how a group such as ACORN, that is so partisan, gets so much federal money. This needs to stop. I’m going to call my local congressman to complain, but I’m not sure what other action I can take, that can make a difference, and we must make a difference in the next election.

  • pm317

And how about the community organizer in chief straightening them out, right?

  • http://noquarter foxyladi14

at least two voices of reason.in all this insanity.

  • http://trackacrat.com/ Track-A-’Crat

Yup, too many people on both sides vote without any substantive knowledge of who they are voting for or their policies. This is the way that democracy dies.

But, equally, many people simply do not have any time to devote to current events/politics, so they rely on the soundbite headlines, of which the most sensationalist linger in the memory the longest.

  • http://trackacrat.com/ Track-A-’Crat

By the way, did you guys see the recent news out of Detroit?

    http://trackacrat.com/2009/04/09/2-2-5/

The city has more registered voters than it has residents over the voting age of 18 (which, I’m sure, is not as unusual as we would wish it were).

Tell me that ACORN wasn’t involved…

  • ConfusedAmerican

See that was what was so spooky about the election === There were many many voting districts like that. Then you add in the few who said they voted twice or more Hmmmmm

Then all the Dems who said —- Yea I know Obama cheated big time so what… All the Dems who said so what if Obama cheated more than Bush….So this is how the US shows the world and our future generations how a democracy is run….

  • Hank

So are these the 66 to 72 thousand that the Government has just hired to do the Census in 2010?

  • Chris Vosburg

No kidding, am I to understand that your standard bearer is–

    Glenn Beck?

You sure you wanna go here?

  • joe nunya

geez! some people on this blog need to brush up on their english skills.

“This is a follow up to the open thread about the new fraudulent charges brought against ACORN, as covered by Glenn Beck.”

So is Glenn Beck bringing “fraudulent charges” (of fraud?) against ACORN?

    No, of course not.

He is discussing charges of fraud. Allegations of fraud, not fraudulent allegations.

I mean, c’mon! At least make sure the headline of your post doesn’t say the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you meant to say!!
