Because her comments are crass and uncouth. Why not talk about the money they make as the first couple? They are nothing but low-class parvenues!

She just wants everyone to know she has servants in all areas of the job of First Lady. What an incredibly s-t-u-p-i-d thing to get up and tell *business* women. Did she think she was helping them out by telling them arrogantly, "This is the way you handle trying to do it all." Get yourself what I have!

In fairness, perhaps she was trying to say something more appropriate, but it fell flat if that indeed was the case.

When you bring people in who have worked in very recent history with organizing people on the streets of Chicago, what can you expect. They were both right when they said in 2006, "We are not ready for that." Indeed they were not and it shows.

The 0bamas are much more interested in being role models for AA. It is all about being AA for them and ruling in the WH as well as for their supporters. The white supporters like Sally Quinn can't get enough of that either - it's like humoring a child, an old person, or an alzhimer patient. It is patronizing.

The AA's are beside themselves with joy, in fantasy land about this new president and family, and it does not matter what they believe in or whether they agree on things. That is the unimportant part. That goes for the wealthy, the poor, the liberal or conservative AA. It's about being AA and in the WH. That's what it is about for even the likes of Colin Powell. That should be humiliating to someone of his statue to stoop as low as he stooped to make his comments about the rupublicans and Rush Limbaugh yet not offering any suggestions on how the republicans can improve themselves. It is defensiveness about the AA POTUS.

I find it curious that the Obamas want to appear humble and giving to rogue nations and dictators, but make every effort to appear almost over-confident, arrogant, and in charge to the citizens of THIS country. They are a disgrace to this country and to the WH.

The entire time MO is lamenting that all women don't have her personal assistants and entire support crew, she's telling us that she knows how hard it is for a working mother. I beg to differ with her because she doesn't have an effin' clue. She, with her $300K plus salary, with her private/lab school right there by her work, with her mother and husband and a million dollar plus house is crying about how tough it is. Give me a break.

LOL!

Just bought Il Divo tickets for a ladies night out. I think fun is already being taxed.

But, I'm sure Obama will find a way to fund his government on the backs of the citizens.

"Almost everyone I’ve talked to says we're going to move to Houston."

Then she added: "What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

The grumps have been out the last couple of days.

Is it the undercurrent of unrest among the average Joes and Josephines that's making those with embedded issues unable to get some humor in their lives?

Fun. Get some before it's outlawed.

It means she gets published not because she is a good reporter, but because she is married to Ben Bradlee, former executive editor and current VP at large for the WaPo.

I thought that MO was supposed to be taking on military families as her project..what happened with that? Has she done anything for them, other than a photo op or two when she made the announcement? Has she done anything for the families of the wounded and maimed veterans who spend their lives trying to get medical care for their family member? Has she asked her husband, the Commander in Chief, to ease their burdens with an executive order telling the military not to diagnose TBI as pre-existing PTSD so they can get the help they need instead of no help? Has she done anything for any family but her own?? Anybody??

of course, that is why MO said what she did about being a hedge fund manager, corporate lawyer...to draw a comparison depicting HRC as greedy, while the Obama's were more honorable for making the great sacrifices they did. BS...BS...BS.

The election didn't go our way because we had a "selection," not an election. The fact that the election was not really run as it should have been run makes it not an election at all. So we are angry and depressed because we miss our democracy, and that is not something we should get over.

I was angry over the last two Bush elections and got over it.

I was angry over the elections that put Reagan, and Bush I in the White House and got over it.

I was angry when Nixon was put in office and got over it.

I was angry many times before, but I always got over it because I had not been convinced that the democratic process had been seriously undermined, and so my anger was directed more at the general public who voted for candidates I didn't think were right--especially, "W."

I don't think this perpetual candidate that we have in the WH is the right person either, and it makes me angry at the uneducated who voted for him. But I am also, and more importantly, angry because I do not believe that he would be there if some serious fraud had not occurred that totally undermined the democratic process.

If you believe otherwise, leave this site and go somewhere else. Most on this site believe as I do.

I may be depressed a little about this, but the denial and unfounded sense of superiority you display makes me feel sorry for you that you have to come here to justify yourself to yourself.
