How Much People Care

This story comes from a dedicated volunteer in Oregon doing phone calls:

I just took a call from a disabled lady who wants to make a contribution. Donations are a big hassle for us because we are not set up to take cash. So the best we can do with non-wired people is have them come down for the donation-by-mail form. This lady is going to buy a $100 money order for Hillary out of her disability income.

AND, she said she would do anything to help Hillary win. Ding, ding, ding – a recruit!

But this one is special. She is paralyzed from the neck down, She can call from home, dialing with her tongue. She has promised to make calls for 20 minute shifts, the period that her phone battery lasts.

If that doesn’t make you choked up, you’re tougher than I am.

  • eezo

Well those of us who are offended by Donna Brazilles remarks and offended by the way we are being out classed and told we are not important in this election and NOT needed to win we have news for the DNC. First we are NOT going to support you or your candidate, Obama for the GE. Second in protest of your treatment of Hillary Clinton we will donate our money to her, not you. Third we the working class, un-needed people will vote for McCain in the GE if Obama is the candidate or we will simply stay home and watch him sink. There has not been one single pundit who has said Obama can beat McCain in the GE and the numbers stack highly against him. He is truly unelectable so if he is the nominee and the DNC got their way and are having fun watching Hillary go down to get their revenge against her.

    Wow.

Hillary does inspire the best in us.

Thanks for sharing, my morale cake is already high and this is some beautiful frosting on top!

I thought Brazille sounded just like Rumsfeld as he rationalized lack of European support for the Iraq war.

“We don’t need the old democratic base, we can go ahead with the “new democrats.”

When you start thinking like Rumsfeld, it’s time to pack it in, how’d that work out for them?

    (old europe/new europe)

  • Mr.Murder

The winner of KY gets a belt of support that connects across both coasts.

Perhaps the bitter Clinton supporters and mid America types should stop clinging to guns and religion, and ask her to withdraw from the race.

The GOP had a contest there already, McCain gave his votes to Huckabee in order to abate Rozmney’s run for the nomination.

See the same McCain party discipline try its best to throw support Obama’s way. It is a caucus state, after all.

  • requiemforadancer

Apparently, Donna, Howard, Axelrove and K&& are preparing to take the democratic elite into Iraq.

I always thought they would, too, it’d only be a matter time.

They don’t get the corollaries of their behavior and thinking, to Rumsfeld’s.

For them, first thing they should do is look to see who is consulting for them, but I think Dean is in this up to his neck, and can’t back out.

Boy, must stink in that room…

    Great idea!

Contrary to popular troll belief, Obama vs. McCain is not inevitable. In fact, Hillary is inevitable.

Obama is a real threat to our very way of life. The delegates know this and will show the courage needed for the nation. We can’t wait 4-8 years. Obama and McCain are entirely unacceptable.

The delegates are figuring out how to provide themselves cover. Hillary is a master politician and I have total faith in her to pull this off.

The child trolls will pout for a day then go back to Internet porn and video games when Obama gets his pink slip.

    Hey Susan,
    What a great woman.
I’ve talked with college students, I’ve talked with
rich ignorant dem snot people, I’ve talked with Republicans, and I’ve talked with neighbors. But the people who stand out the most for me, are the people are like the woman in your blog. I spoke to lots of people who were disabled or sick. I spoke to people who had family members who were disabled or sick. And these people, their spirits and energy and quiet calm in the face of hardship is what stays with me. I also spoke to a lot of elderly people. And if I tried to tell you the stories that touched me, I would write for days. I think that people like the lady in your blog are what inspire many of us the most. We work for her.

If someone can donate part of their disability check, we can donate to. Donate to Hillary today – help her win OR where Obama is hoping to clinch the 2025 delegates! If we can deny him that we have more leverage on May 30 when DNC rules committee decides what to do with FL and MI.

There was a lady who came to the door on a small town after several knocks. The canvass packet paper identified her as 89. She was very tiny but had a big walker and bigger welcome to us when we told here we were there for Hillary. We asked if she was going to vote that day and for who etc. and she said no, she couldn’t get to the polls and pointed to her large walker. So we told her we could get her a ride to the nearby polling place, and she said no she couldn’t leave the house these days but then much to our delight told us she loves Hillary and a young friend of hers who helps her out sometimes had brought her an absentee ballot so she had already cast hers for Hillary. The three of us women had a real good laugh and it sure did touch me deep.

It was all in her eyes. Older, wiser and still sharp as a tack humorous hopeful eyes.

We never thought of asking her if she’d like to make phone calls! I think she would have enjoyed that.

I’m gonna use your Faith today, PL, since I’m running low. I have to believe you’re right about the Supers. Seems to me they want to come out for her, they just have to do it without pissing off their constituents or appearing to “keep the Black Man down.” Otherwise, why wouldn’t the Undecideds just come out full force for BO? I just can’t stand losing the White House AGAIN! It makes the Democrats seem so Stupid when we just can’t seem to nominate a viable candidate and we lose to idiots like W.

My new mantra: Hillary is Inevitable.

    Thanks!

There’s so much inspiration here. I’ve been surfing around all day to see how best I can help us help Hillary. Next to donating to her campaign, which we did this morning, information seems to be the key. Here’s something I just ran across at TalkLeft:

“what I want to know is why nobody is asking why Obama did so poorly in NC, considering his 29 point margin in Virginia. These are Obama’s two supposed “expand the map” states, and in both states Bush beat Kerry by the same 54-46% margin…
and in less than two months, Obama’s margin is cut in half? Even though NC had a higher percentage of AA voters?”

    http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/5/7/172640/3833

It’s numbers/facts like these, and stories such as you have posted, that will show us the truth, lift us up and help us to go on. BO did MUCH WORSE than he should have in North Carolina. Plus, we know there has been a lot of scamming and cheating on Camp BO’s part, so his numbers should be even lower.

I really like hillarysmygirl’s new mantra: Hillary is inevitable. That’s an excellent affirmation, and one I will use to keep focused!

Today Rachel Maddow went right over the top and became a 100 percent media whore for Barack Obama. Here’s what she just said, on MSNBC:

“You know, the ‘Popular Vote theory’ is kind of like the ‘gas tax’ theory for the Clinton campaign- it’s the kind of populist feel-good stuff that has no bearing on reality..”

It was not TWO MONTHS AGO that Maddow and every other Air America host was screeching nonstop that the POPULAR VOTE was ALL THAT MATTERED. It was all about DEMOCRACY and letting EVERYONE’S VOTE BE HEARD. But in the service of the Obama campaign, Maddow has no problem spinning like a top, completely changing her viewpoint and giving us the exact opposite opinion as she did when it appeared that the Superdelegates would go heavily for Hillary.

No shame. Absolutely no shame. But it sure sells among the Hillary-bashers at MSNBC, doesn’t it?

I think John McCain would do a very fair job of appointing judges. With a Democratic majority in the house and senate…no worries there, either. I would trust the appointees of John McCain much more than Obama…no telling who he owes and who he would appoint.

  • Nag

I don’t have a link to show this, but I’ve read in a few places about how Obama has lost his edge with Independent voters as well. So that leaves the college kids, the AA’s, the elites and Donna Brazile.

That dog won’t hunt anymore. The Supreme Court wouldn’t ban abortion if it was made up of nine Clarence Thomas clones. Besides, what did Obama do to stop the Roberts nomination again?

I’m not going to be blackmailed into voting for Obama by someone yelling “SUPREME COURT!” in my face. Sorry.

  • David

Donna B, you’re sounding like an O’Baby zealot. Let me get this straight: you worked for Al Gore and John Kerry. Neither one of them won the presidency. This is our fault because…

You and the “90%” of the black vote (if you believe the bullshit) can kiss my black ass twice. Falling in line behind someone because he is black just makes you another asshole. The group think mentality is unhealthy. It reeks of the dumming down process that the msm wants us to swallow as “truth” “reality” or something that suckers believe.

The country can’t survive on idolatry – that’s for entertainment and fantasy, not politics. Do you remember that scene from “Planet of the Apes” where the Statue of Liberty is engulfed in the sand? Taylor(Charleton Heston)realized he the world was destroyed. Why? Bad leadership. We’re already got that in the WH. We need a change alright. WE NEED HILLARY!

Last thought: O’baby is not the way, the answer, or the nominee. Not O’baby. Not now. Not ever.

He’s a traitor, those who assist him, well, traitor helper, hamburger helper.

BTW, while reading about the klutzy alliance of Brazille, Dean, Axlerove and K**, it’s apparent each is a very marginal player, like Obama, none with the ability to close a deal, all are wannabes, or nears, but never actually, like Clinton. Hence the laughable attempts at psy ops.

This is important to remember, WHY are they like this, what weakness prevents them from succeeding?

Very very marginal, like Obama’s AA vote, seems to be a theme with those people, I’d say, btw, troll boi, THAT is a real projection, this true feeling of being incompetent, marginal, compared to your artless splunk of would be projected chaos.

And you took the bait, like I knew you would, cmere troll boi, and LIE for me, babe…

    Back for a moment:

Here’s the secret to keeping the “Hillary is inevitable!” mantra focused:

Stay away from the MSM as much as possible. Don’t click on troll links. Ignore the trolls if they bug you at all. Also, avoid using a freebie Email provider that has news links on it, they tend to be pro-Obama and keep our morale down. I generally use my main ISP account E-mail address because it has no advertisements nor news links.

As self-appointed morale officer :) I have stopped watching the MSM news except when Hill is on, and even then, I put a box in front of the bottom of my TV screen so I don’t see the scroll propaganda. :)

    I’ve also blocked MSNBC totally.

My spirits are soaring because I have no noise and misdirection propaganda in the way.

See you gals and guys later.

  • AF catfish

David, the 90% plus black vote last night I found shocking. Do you think it was due to it being a southern state? What about Indiana? Or was it something recent that was truly racist that the rest of us couldn’t see?

  • requiemforadancer

And Donna Brazille is off to lead the elites to Iraq, along with Rumsfeld, and Howard Dean.

    heh.

    Hmm, I smell eggnog.

It’s not Christmas, yet is it?

Donna is the new Napoleon, perhaps I should paint a picture, “Donna crosses the Euphrates, into Iraq, the “father” of the new democratic coalition,” Iraq as psychic metaphor for her future “new” political landscape.

Where to put Pelosi, and Moveon.org? I don’t know, yet.

But right past that, in the background, to the right, I would paint hell, where she can see her future, the broken down and dying Rumsfeld.

  • TeakwoodKite

SusanUnPC..from now on in my life, when challenges arise that appear to be beyond my abilities, I will recall this humble simple post, and this persons truly amazing gifts. It is humbling.

According to NPR Obama lost both the white vote and the independents in NC. Here is how Talkleft gives the breakdown of white voters:
    “In Pennsylvania, Clinton won whites 18-29 (52-48), 30-44 (58-42), 45-59 (63-37), 60+ (68-32). In North Carolina, whites 18-29, just 8% of the vote, went for Obama 57-41. But whites 30-44 went for Clinton (52-45), 45-59 (64-33), 60+ (69-29).”

So except for the 8% of voters who were 18 to 29 years old, he lost the white vote. Since AA’s are only 12-13% of the overall population this does not bode well for the GE.

  • requiemforadancer

Well, the projection the real projection is the marginalization, everything about Obama reeks of the marginal.

He is a marginal talent, supported by marginal wannabe, with a marginal vote.

Once you see that common trait in everything that surrounds Obama, and figure out WHY, well, it’s a start…

Rather than a conquer and divide, Axelrod has marginalized Obama, separated and isolated his candidate, sort of like the US in Iraq, under Bush.

    Same mind set, same consequences.

BO is the one who is selfish. He went into this knowing he was too inexperienced, had too many unsavory connections, went to an anti-American, anti-white church for 20 years, etc., etc. He knew he was and is unelectable, but he hoped no one would find out until it was too late.

    Luckily, it’s not.

  • requiemforadancer

You know, I think the ultimate goal is to ferret out the truth, not as you wish, but as it is.

Surprisingly, very very difficult for most.

We don’t want to hear what contradicts our views, our image of self, what makes us feel secure, look at Dean.

The info on Rezkowatch was eye opening, and Dean is fucked, but he can’t get out, even if he can see it.

His reality needs to be flipped, to see the other side, and he doesn’t even know what that means.

Chief Justice, writing for the majority:

Good point Judith. I would be much more afraid of Rezko’s Supreme Court Justice, than McCain’s.
Brazile doesn’t think gay people should have civil rights. So forget about that issue.
Women’s issues? Obama and cult have turned misogyny into an art form. What’s left? (hey that was almost a pun.) What amazing issue will come before the court? Second amendment? Well doofus Obama would just fall all over himself there. Obama is plain stupid. I would trust McCain to come up with a better idea of a justice, than Obama ever could.
Also, some justices from the right move to the middle while on the court. O’Connor is an example.
By the way the Supreme Court hysteria seems to be the “selling point” for the trolls today. Seems they think that will make us want to vote for the shitheel Obama. Argument is specious.

I just can’t go spend $100-$120 on shoes when Hillary needs it. Heck, when she’s POTUS, I’ll be able to afford as many shoes as I want, because she will revive our economy. And, our spirits!
