Rush is the reason Obama lost Indianna? So what’s HIS excuse? As Lewis Black said, finding a person who could lose to Bush in the general election is like finding a normal person who could lose in the Special Olympics.

Wow. The “Democratic strategist” (read: Obamabot) completely steamrolled the Repulican. He had a set time to talk and then when it was her turn he just talked over her. Classy.

I still don’t get it when Rush tells repugs to vote for Hillary, it’s voter tampering. But when Obama makes a commercial saying repugs should be a dem for a day it’s…what…being politically savvy?

All this blaming Rush is counter intuitive. If the repubs are thinking Clinton is the tougher candidate to beat, (conversely Obama the weaker candidate,) why would they vote for Clinton and prop her up? Even in VA, repubs voted for Obama because he was the weaker candidate.

I just got back from Indiana. I was in Kokomo which is in Howard County and we did fine there 56 vs 44, and 67% vs 33% in the precincts I was involved with.

Gary Indiana was obviously a different story. I was a long way from there but some of the people I was with are very familiar with that situation. They told me what happened was the local officials were obama people and they hired more obama people as temporary workers to handle the volume, and that is how the fraud got perpetrated.

They laughed at the idea that there were 11,000 absentee ballots. Historically anytime there is more than 1,000 absentee ballots in that venue there is grounds for suspicion. Gary is low income predominantly AA. Mayor is an obama scumbag.

If we have underestimated anything in the course of this campaign it is the degree to which the Obama campaign will lie cheat and steal on a nationwide basis to achieve their objectives.

The silver lining of this latest scandal is its very close to the end of the primaries and the delegates won’t like this one bit. Another tactical blunder by Obama, he could have coasted to the end and made his best case to the delegates. Now, he’s driven another nail in his campaign’s coffin. Oh, and plausible deniability won’t mean diddly, the delegates know he is scum and will hold him responsible.

Obama does not want to do anything — that is his game, no deals. Carter is not helping Obama — people will hold this against him even more.

I know Jeremiah Wright… Well, I never met him, but I know his ideas, he is a part of the American political left. Nothing he said outraged me, or even upset me. I agreed with a lot of it, and disagreed with some of it. If we were to meet in person I imagine we would get along just fine, and we probably could do some good work together.

Obama had to distance himself from his pastor in order to remain a viable candidate — a smart move. Gary Wills, writing in the May 2008 NY Review of Books, pointed out that Abe Lincoln, who Obama invoked when announcing his own candidacy, was associated with John Brown and the “radical” abolitionists. Like Obama, Abe had to distance himself in pubic from the “extremists.” But the abolitionists remained the left wing of Lincoln’s coalition, and although he publicly disavowed them (gently) he was secretly and indirectly connected to them.

About 100 hundred years later, in 1968, Robert Kennedy’s candidacy for president represented a similar coalition.

His brother, John Kennedy’s election marked the achievement of full citizenship for Catholic (Irish and Italian) workers (that’s why Kennedy’s picture hangs in all those Irish bars). Bobby Kennedy continued to lead those “white” workers and he was bringing them into an alliance with the Civil Rights Movement (Kennedy was meeting and marching with two of its most prominent leaders, Dr. King and Caesar Chavez). In other words, Kennedy’s campaign was a next phase in the Civil Rights struggle. But the assassination of Malcolm X in 1965 and the FBI repression of the left made it difficult for a left wing to get into that coalition and soon King and Kennedy would also be murdered.

These assassinations sent most left wing forces in the United States into a disorientating tailspin that we have yet to recover from. If it were 1968, Hillary would be Hubert Humphrey, McCain would be Nixon, and Obama would be Bobby Kennedy. Some of our friends on the left have asked us to “Recreate ‘68.” Yes, but let’s not repeat the blind rage, instead let’s do it over and send Humphrey and Nixon packing. So, we must build a John Brown, Malcolm X, Jeremiah Wright bloc- a left bloc allied to but independent from Obama’s campaign.

As Malcolm and the movement developed, he emphasized uniting with other left forces. He and King drew closer together, but after Malcolm’s assassination left wing forces pushed liberals and center-left forces away and into the hands of the right. Obama’s campaign is the potential rebirth of the Kennedy-King Coalition. And it is time for the radical left to do what Malcolm would have done-get into the coalition as an independent force, consolidate a left wing and build a liberal and left coalition to stomp the war loving right wing in this country while building our own independent left movement.

We have a couple of immediate basic tasks: Obama must be the Democratic Party candidate-By Any Means Necessary. We should plan to camp right outside of Denver during the Democratic Party’s Convention and hold anti-war demonstrations and our own left convention. If right wing Democrats try to force Hilary-Herbert Humphrey-Clinton on us we march on the convention and make sure Obama gets the nomination–By Any Means Necessary. In November, we must make sure Obama defeats the war criminal John McCain. And finally, after the election, we must be prepared to convene anywhere in the country (Florida, Ohio etc.) to make sure that the Supreme Court does not decide the contest.

Some of our fellow leftists have been very critical of Obama. The problem with their criticism is that they want Obama to be a leftist. He is not a leftist, he is a representative of the progressive, democratic wing of the capitalist class and he is making an appeal to workers of all nationalities to support him. Obama is a liberal. He is a center-left candidate. He is a part of the mainstream of the Democratic Party. We are the left! It is time we got back in the game.

Sometimes I wonder, if all these SDs know about all that WE read. How much do they know about caucus frauds, for example? or Ayers or Auchi or that 90% of his popular vote lead comes from Illinois and 65% of that from Cook county..

Axelrod is pitchin’ pennies again. When was the last time you recall a Democrat whining about a Republican being the reason for their defeat?

The real reason is the demographics Hillary is pulling in — white, rural, gun owning and even religious vote. That’s the GOP territory for 30 years, and it frightens them that their heralded Reagan Democrats will fall in line behind Hillary. Rush is trying to not alienate Hillary (as Fox News is doing) as they need her votes in the GE — the angry Dems who are fed up that Obama “stole” the election. The whole plan is not to get Hillary elected in the first place, but the projections a year ago never projected she could attract the very GOP base and drain McInsane’s votes! Now the GOP mouth machine’s hands are tied, as they can’t afford to alienate their own base of gun toting and religious conservatives (because Hillary’s message has got to be pulling on their heart strings, since McInsane sure isn’t listening to their concerns at home).

The more Hillary hammers the populist message home (and taking Lou Dobb’s stance), the more she’ll attract not only independents, but the GOP base right back to the Democrat party they fled from in 1980.

The GOP is scared with Hillary now. No amount of Rush jobs or 527s can zero in on her, without destroying their very base of support. Give an A+++ to Hillary’s team in turning the tables right back at the “Republican attack machine”. They figured out the message that works, and a way to corner Rush et al, too.

They say they can’t worry about white blue collar workers because they don’t vote Democratic but are excited by the newly registered young voters. Obama took it a step further when he said he is running his campaign for the under 35 group. Why can’t a campaign be run to build on the Democratic Base rather than splitting off the old, poor, sick and gay? I guess its beneath Obama to pander to the Democratic core constituancies. However, pandering to the fatcats is another story.

Someone may have already pointed this out, but I think it’s obvious Rush wants Hillary to win. His motivations are not pure, of course. I think he wants her to win so he can joyously bash her for four years. If BO wins, he will, to some extent, have to hold back, and Rush sure as hell doesn’t want to do that. He’d rather let loose on Senator Clinton.

He made it clear to the superdelegates that a vote for BO is a vote for McCain (hats off to beebop for that slogan!) Rush: “Go right ahead. He will lose. He will lose big, and you supers know it. You can see the demographics of his vote tallies. You know it. What is happening with the “Democrat” Party nomination process is the biggest travesty [in a long time - idiotic comment by Rush].”

I believe that a lot of superdelegates want to back a winner, and Rush made very clear who the winner is between these two candidates – Senator Hillary Clinton. The message unmistakable.
