So, why shouldn’t we have just determined ahead of time which were the most important states to win, and just held primaries in the ones which really count like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida? Forget about Missouri, Wisconsin, Virginia… as well as any state that’s too black, or too urban, or too Republican. Save the expense and time. The conservative in me is overjoyed, but the moderate in me isn’t — because without a strong checks and balances in government, we’ll get more Bush in the future.

Wish the Dems would have the backbone to march up to the convention and demand Hillary to be the nominee, for not only to win the presidency; to ensure the Democrat party is a viable alternative to the GOP.

This country wouldn’t settle for a Far-Left agenda, anymore than a Far-Right one. We need balance, not more partisanship.

I was stating my belief that a strong 2 party system is what’s needed. If reformers flee, Dems will be but full of Anarchists in the end.

This election cycle can do as much harm to the Democrat party as the Reagan Democrats did to Carter in 1980 (no thanks to Teddy’s inflated ego).

The point is, stay in and reform the party from within. Make it a party that represents the people, not pander to them from Ivy Towers, let alone as some parent who thinks what’s best for the “children” (like eating Arugula salads in winter).

Dems need to really get back to it’s roots, not be some post-modern society so disconnect from it’s voter base, to even care that they’re leaving the party.

Hillary shows that it’s time for such a change, too.

of course, if hillary pulls it out, i stay and fight. her pulling it out would mean there is actually hope for the party to be what it should be.

if it’s obama, i’m out. his nomination would mean that reform from within won’t work, at least until he loses. then i’ll come back, if dean, pelosi, brazile, kerry, etc., lose their hold on the party, which they certainly should.

IF Dems will finally oust the DNC deadweight that continues to push the wrong candidates. Just look at the leadership — none who are connected to anything but their elitist network. They lose the South, as there’s no Southern representation — even the Clintons moved to NY. With such a stragedy, they’ll continue to lose presidential elections, because the nominee can’t just disregard a whole section of the country.

Folks will see this being true in the GE, where the red states will remain red, and the blue blue, leaving yet another squeaker with no mandate.

I still cannot get over the Democratic Party leaders basically telling large numbers of their own members that the party care about their votes. These fools are perfectly willing to alienate Dems from Michigan, Florida, white women, older people, etc. Obama as much as said we older Dems are irrelevant, passe, when he recently said the choice was between the past and the future.
The party’s attitude is that you will have to vote for us because you won’t want McCain so we can afford to dismiss you. The only groups they are not willing to do this to are the young and African Americans. And they blame Clinton for being divisive?

Young – because without new blood, the Democrat party will become the Whig party.

Blacks – because without their votes, the Democrt party will become the Whig party.

More intelligent voters tend to not be party affiliated, as they vote on issues and careless about party politics (heck, they see it enough in the office anyway). The more folks start embracing that idea that issues are more important that giving Dean et al a salary to lose yet again, the more these old parties will learn that even a 2% voting block is important.

i know the dnc is punishing michigan and florida b/c their leaders knowingly broke the rules. it seems sad that the voters voices cannot be heard, but every dem candidate approved of this situation. i am wondering if hillary would be pushing so much for the votes to count if the candidates had actually campaigned in the states and both their names were on the ballot and if she had lost. i haven’t heard her reconcile the fact that she approved of these rules but now has changed her mind. maybe it is like the iraq war where she will never admit it was a mistake on her part to agree.

Two things:

1: Obama talked to reporters after a fundraiser in Florida and ran ads that played in Florida.

2. Obama supporter, John Kerry, voted the same way Senator clinton did on the Iraq vote. Both made qualifying statements. Obama, himself, has said that has he been in the Senate at the time, he is not sure how he would have voted.

Both Hillary and BO were on the Florida ballot. Additionally, Barack did have commercials running in Florida prior to the Florida primary and they stopped immediatly after the primary vote. BO stated that the commercials were shown on CNN and they could not avoid it due to the national market. So why did CNN stop showing those commercials right after the Florida primary. It would seem to me that if it was a national market buy the commercials would of continued in Florida. So BO did campaign in Florida and when he lost he decided that Florida didn’t matter!!!! Call me silly but isn’t he a uniter???????????????????????????????

David: Try to get the facts straight and use your head a little. If MI and FL are added to the mix the number of delegates needed for the nomination increases. Neither candidate will have the required number of pledged delegates needed to win the nomination prior to the convention. That leaves the decision in the hands of super delegates. Contrary to Obama’s self-serving “new politics”, super delegates are not there to mirror the popular vote, or the delegate count by state or any other criteria other than to decide which candidate has the winning political base. AA’s plus elite, affluent Dems. plus young college-age adults is not a winning base. Sorry.

He tried to get Kucinich and Dodd to remove their names as well. When they refused Obama ran a campaign asking his voters to vote for ‘Incommitted.’ Uncommitted received 40% of the vote.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Obama is going down in November. It won’t take many of us in key battle ground states to flip the election to Mc Cain. I believe the election will be won or loss in the 65+ age demographic. As a volunteer for the HRC camp… the one comment I heard over and over from seniors was that Obama was scarry.
They want surety at this stage in their lives and not a non substantive message of change.

Exactly David. I find it absolutely incredible that Hillary supporters really think that superdelegates should just overturn the will of the people to install Clinton as the Dem. nominee. First of all – why even have a nomination process? Why even vote if the votes don’t count? Second of all if they think they are angry about Obama winning then they should see how angry people would be about the nomination being taken away from Obama for no good reason. That would cause a serious revolt among people who otherwise would have no problem supporting Clinton. That would just be too dirty, too low down. It would destroy the Democratic party.

That’s what it comes down to – Does Clinton care more about her party/country or does she care more about her own ego & ambition. The sense of entitle she (and her supporters) are showing is astonishing. It takes the term “sore loser” to the next level.

Now that is an interesting term. First of all, this primary election is very close in both popular vote and in delegate count. There are still several states where voters have not had a chance to weight in with their ‘will of the people’ yet. That system must be played out.

Second, the will of which people? This is the Democraric Party Primary. At least it is supposed to be.Yet Obama has won many of his primaries with Repubican and Independent crossover votes. And he is the only Democratic candidate that actively went out and solicited Republican for a day votes. That has skewed this so called “will of the people” crap. I don’t want Republicans telling me who the Democratic Party nominee should be.

And third, the “will of the people’ cannot be complete if you don’t count the votes of FL and MI the 4th and 8th largest states in the nation. That is suicide. As you wrote in your post, and I quote, “Why even vote if the votes don’t count?” EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Senator Clinton only agreed not to campaign in Florida or Michigan — and she didn’t, while Barack Obama had ads appearing in Florida and robocalls going into Michigan urging people to “vote uncommitted.” (That’s why “uncommitted” got 40% of the vote in Michigan.)

I am for Barack Obama getting the 40% uncommitted that he robocalled for; Senator Clinton should get her votes.

In Florida, where there’s a Republican Legislature and a Republican Governor, and both of those overruled the state’s Democratic Party (which didn’t want an earlier primary) — there’s no excuse as to why the DNC hasn’t counted all of those votes.

Our country was founded because people disliked “taxation without representation.”

Well, at this point, we have voters who have been ticked off because they’ve been totally disenfranchised. They went out in record numbers in Michigan and again in Florida and deserve to be counted; it’s not the voters fault for any perceived shortcomings in the Democratic Party. They did their part.

But the DNC has not done theirs. They have exacerbated the voter’s pain, and at this point, if Hillary Clinton — the able, experienced, well-qualified candidate who has a large majority of the Admirals and four star Generals in her camp for a good reason — isn’t the candidate, Michigan probably won’t go for Obama and Florida never will. And we need both of those states.

I also believe that Obama will lose in Ohio and Pennsylvania in November. (Especially Pennsylvania.)

The DNC would rather tick off its very real base of women voters, older voters, working class voters, Hispanic voters, middle-class voters and centrist voters by deciding this election based on twelve caucus states — some of which will never go for the Democrat in the fall no matter how awful the Republican candidate is. (And make no mistake — McCain, as a moderate Republican, is not awful. he’s probably the best Republican candidate the Republicans have put up in the past twenty years.) I don’t want Utah or Idaho deciding this race for Barack Obama, a man I believe is unelectable in the general election. Flat unelectable.

And for those of you who seem to think he’s a saint — well, we need a President, not a saint. (And I have news; I doubt Barack Obama is a saint.)

Yours is too simple an argument — all states, all votes count. However, at the end of the day, the big question is who won the states that matter most electorally in the GE. I would actually welcome a democratic candidate who will win those red states and turn them blue. But historical evidence suggests that it is not an easy task. On the other hand, some states do go either way. It is only smart to focus your limited resources on such states. Running a campaign everywhere requires money and people. Before you say Obama has that, I want to point out that he is no longer that magical messiah who would turn red into blue, not with all his baggage of Wright, Ayers — GoP will eat him for lunch and at the end of that process, people in those red states would have walked away from him (if they have not already done so.)

Well, I don’t know about anyone else at this site, but I did not know much about how caucuses operated until this year. And when I lived in Ohio I was a Dem Party activist and elected official. But since Ohio is a primary state, the primary system was all I knew.

This year because of all the attention paid to how caucuses operate I have seen just how UNdemocratic they really are. They do not express the “will of the people.’ They express the will of those who can get to the caucus at the set time. They are not a reflection of even 25% of the people, as a primary system might. And they can be very easily manipulated by zealots who can take over the entire process. They are a joke.

Just “happened to hear” through his large contingent of secret service, with people around him being quiet enough so he could do so because you know that’s what you do when a President is around.

Look, I’ve been ready to vote for Hillary in the general – she’s smart enough to agree with Barack on most issues, and would be a big relief after the crap we’ve had in the Whitehouse for the past 7 years. But I’ve preferred Obama because of his record on things like lobbying reform and taking on important issues such as loose nukes – the man knows how to prioritize. In the end, there were two (really four, in my mind) excellent candidates, and one out-strategized, out-campaigned and out-appealed all the rest. Time to move on.

So you can go right ahead and try to tear this campaign down and if you manage to do so, why don’t you sit down with some Naderite friends and toast a toast to all the vulnerable people at home and abroad you would have screwed over.

This gruesome story of shocking though hidden voter suppression in the 21st century should make you howl — weep — in disbelief. The Awful Caucus Skew twisted History in this 2008 election. People generally know generally that Caucuses Stink, but no one knows this specific huge number of suppressed, cheated housebound older-women votes, the Greatest Story Ever Untold about the 2008 election.

The punch line is that in Texas, Hillary’s voters were plus 4 in the Primary and minus 12 in the caucus on the same day. A 16% swing! Suppose we’d only seen the caucus results in Texas? As we did in Iowa and all the other caucus states. Fie, you should cry, For Shame.

The focus is to win the November election against John M. Any meaningful argument can be made to support a candidate’s case to win these states based on their record in these states and proven voting record of these states. This is the argument that any super delegate for the party would care to weigh against.

Obama –
Advantages:Smart, plans well.
Disadvantages: Not a lot of experience and visibility on what he has accomplished – so far. The press has really done us public a disfavour in not providing us the right information.
Troubling: Appears to treat the primaries like a class exam.

Clinton -
Advantages: Learnt Knowledge of US and world leadership; Learns quickly; adoptable and pursues goals with a zeal like no other. Appears to be have well prepared health care reform plan.

DisAdvantages: Some of her Populist policies appear to pander to people.
Troubling: None.

If I were to handle this hiring for the top US job, I would want to know more about Obama’s past accomplishments. It must have brought significant benefits to the people that depended on him.

The same goes for Mrs. Clinton and would ask some tough questions about some of her policies.

Other David: Nobody’s saying we shouldn’t count the votes in the red states, but the Superdelegates job is to help select the candidate that has the best chance of winning the electoral college in November. It would be moronic for them to ignore issues of electability and just go with the pledged delegate leader in a race this close. If it’s enough to make up the difference in pledged delegates, then obviously there are some concerns about Barack McGov…Obama that they believed posed an overwhelming threat to our chances in November. All candidates were on the ballot in FL. In MI., a deal was made between Obama, Edwards, Biden, & Richardson to take their names off of the ballot. They waited until the last minute, in fact, they almost missed the deadline. You can draw your own conclusions as to why they did it. However, the DNC did not require them to remove their names from the ballot. I do not think it was because of honor or conscience.
We will not win FL. if the delegates are not counted, no matter what BO decides is “fair”.

Obama ran against one of the strongest candidates in history. Huge name recognition, capable and smart, lots of the Democratic leadership behind her (huge superdelegate lead at the beginning). Obama’s inability to close the deal isn’t because of his weakness but her strength, especially when you have a popular former President going to all these small towns and making direct appeals to people – how much of an advantage is that??

But in the end, it wasn’t enough for Hillary to win, just to make this the closest primary in recent memory.

I hope the campaigns can negotiate so that the Clintons can help out in the general – I don’t think Obama can win without them (and in particular Bill’s help in small towns) just as I don’t think Hillary could win without Obama’s organizing skills (clearly light-years ahead of her’s) if she were the nominee.

Th decision for BO to be the nominee was made in 2004. They knew Sen. Clinton would run, what better way to diminish her chances than to make her run against the first AA? The DNC couldn’t nominate a completely unknown, inexperienced candidate for president-it would be ludicrous. That’s why the road to the senate was paved for him. If you remember, he was invited to make the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Such an honor is always given to a important party leader, not a small time state legislator. That speech was the guarantee for his election to the senate and thus the presidency.

I’m white – I support him over Clinton because of the issues, because of his ability to speak (which is very very important in politics. “just words” indeed!) and because of his judgment (war on Iraq, Gas Tax holiday)… I also support him because he seems to be an honest man who actually thinks about the issues to come up with the best answer rather than just giving the politically expedient answer all the time.

If you remember, he was invited to make the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Such an honor is always given to a important party leader, not a small time state legislator. That speech was the guarantee for his election to the senate and thus the presidency.

It also tied into the movie of that year, called the “Manchurian Candidate”.

Folks really need to go back and watch the movie again. Instead of implants and all, think of the DNC and powerbrokers grooming themselves an empty suit to govern in the White House, instead.

The Elite needed a Harvard man to counter the Yale types of late (you know Teddy couldn’t resist supporting an alma mater mate [despite Teddy almost flunking out anyway], right?). That he’s Black makes him even more viable. He’s also understands what side of the bread is buttered, and what happens to slaves who buck their masters, too.

But Teddy and crew didn’t factor in his wife, that bitter gal who represents everything Black that riles Whites (let alone any other color of the rainbow) to no end. As I have said before it will all come down to the media. If they dump their long-time flame, McCain, for their new man-crush Obama then he will win. If that happens, we will hear all the stories about McCain’s temper, etc. If not, they will finally decide to inform the voters about who Obama really is – Ayers, etc. Even the phoney “single mother on food stamps schtick.” According to an article in 2006 by Joe Klein Obama said his mother was on food stamps while getting her PhD. Apparently this was in the seventies when Barack was living with his well-to-do grandparents and going to his fancy prep school.

Obama as a child from humble beginnings is just as misleading as the idea that Bush is a rancher – Buah bought the ranch when he started to run for president. The media willingly went along with it, though. Ever notice how they often stand in front of an old barn when reporting from Crawford? This is the image that Bush’s media people want us to have. The news people could refuse to play along, but that would mean putting the public ahead of their access to power.

Well, Gore flew over the cuckoo’s nest awhile ago with his “global warming” push (just wait for the mini Ice Age coming down the pipe. The solar cycle 24 has been usually bare of sunspots, dropping global temps by 7c from January alone [biggest thermal loss in recent memory]. If it continues, it could be the start of cooling not seen in over 2 centuries). BUT don’t tell the “global warming” pinheads who need to justify their jobs as talking heads and being profs — they’ll melt faster than a berg being bombarded by Cosmic rays!!

As for your other statement about the media, yep. Accountability is two-fold. If the media wants respect as being credible, they need to remain neutral in reporting — not turn news into tabloid trash. Folks fault Dan Rather, but I grew up respecting SERIOUS news, not the crap spewed out on cable TV. Want a serious guy reporting serious issues to be seriously discussed and worked upon. Not treat it as some SNL or Leno skit (haven’t watched SNL since the early 80s [when comedy was clean and not full of sex and trash] — and certainly not for political theater).

Problem in the media today they’re all jokers who think they’re reporters. The only “serious” news I’m getting at night is on Lou Dobbs (and A+++ to Kitty for her serious presentation of issues that ARE serious!). Dan is gone; PBS NewsHour is anything but it was; NPR can put a snail to sleep with their high-brow and nasal presentation, that sounds like a frog being flushed down a toilet.

I want the news that I had as a kid. A gruff local anchor. Walter Cronkite/Dan Rather afterwards. Folks you felt you could trust reporting the news — and actually CARED. Not these punks who spend more time on their hair, and making news sound like a sports contest, than journalism itself.

When Obama and Edwards won 1st and 2nd in Iowa, they declared that progressives had won. Democrats have repeatedly lost because they look so weak on defense. If you listen to all Hillary says, this is part of her plan to limit the proliferation of nukes in the mideast. First she is giving Iran fair warning that it will do them no good to even have nukes because it would be suicide to use them.
Second this is a plan to keep the other mideast states from getting their own nukes for protection if Iran has them by forming an security umbrella group with these states. By guaranteeing that we will protect them from a nuclear strike from Iran in exchange for forgoing nuclear weapons, we would make it much less likely that nuclear weapons will get into the hands of terrorists. (The more countries that have nukes, the more likely they will get passed to terrorists.)
Rogue nations will never cooperate with us if they are not convinced that we will stand up to them. Right now a lot of players are betting that we are so weakened by Iraq that they can do pretty much what they want. Letting the world know that we will not stand by and let our allies get nuked is not reckless – appearing weak is.

If Iran and other mideast countries believe we would not strike back if Iran attacked Israel, then there is no deterrent or incentive to cooperate with us.

Dean has been very meddlesome in the democratic primary, and I find that completely unacceptable. He has done everything in his power to throw roadblocks in front of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy. I find his behavior disturbing and highly improper.

Watch Fox News, as unpleasant as that is, and you will get a taste of what the right wingers are planning to throw at Obama. They are all over things like Ayers, Rezko, etc. and they are not making stuff up the way they had to with Gore and Kerry. There is plenty of damaging stuff about Obama in addition to Wright that has been publicly available for months. The mainstream media has overlooked all of this because of their love affair with Obama, but conservatives will not. I think it’s very possible that Obama could beat McCain by double digits with a 60% Democratic Senate & Congress.

To do that he would have to seriously rebuild his coalition. Women, seniors, Reagan dems, lunch bucket dems, Latinos and Asian Americans would need to be in that equation in way more significant numbers than Obama is currently polling. He hasn’t been getting those votes and it’s not a gimme that they will automatically vote democrat in the fall.

Today I got an email from a Republican friend. The subject was McCain’s wife — an article about her. Ha — after reading all that Cindy McCain has done — SHE would be a better choice for President than Obama.

What is interesting about this email is that the Republicans don’t have even make the link that I did — you automatically think — o.k. so what has Obama done to give him the experience and training to be President of the US. NOTHING.

I’m glad now that I maintained my friendship with Republicans because they send me “informative” email which gives me an idea how the GOP machine is going to operate in the GE. I also know that the GOP has dug very deeply into Obama’s past — and they are just waiting for the chance to unload some major bombshells and skeletons in Obama’s closets. I know because I read part of a GOP generated email over a year ago — and I deleted the email — thinking that someone had hired a really bad script writer. Ah Rezko the slum Lord — true. And Obama’s connection to Ayers — true. Damn — too bad I deleted that email.

I expect that we will be hearing more about Cindy McCain in the weeks to come.

He knows too many secrets. He is a federal prosecutor and privy to things we can only dream about, afterall.

He’s made some deals, and kingpins on down know to give him some elbow room, or they’ll be in his search lights.

The government can really play dirty if they want, too. Especially to set examples to scare other fish (like they did to Martha Stewart — knowing full well what she did was small fry material compared to Enron et al’s dirty dealings).

Liberals tend to trust the government. Conservatives don’t. Each sees it through a lens of “good government” or “mettling in the affairs of private citizens” (ironic how their beliefs are reversed on illicit drugs, abortion and guns though!).

No special and equal clauses. Either we’re special (without rights of being equals) or equal (without rights of being special).

Problem with the victimhood mentality that is a stranglehold of the Democrat party for 20 years — and playing out with this double standards both in sexism and racism with Obama’s camp — is they want it both ways. It’ll never work. Can’t be both special and equal. Either a group is special and can’t have the rights of those they’re not equal too; or they’re like everyone else and can’t be special.

This is also why Communism failed in reality — they tried to make the dual system work (the workers were equals, but the politicians were special and above the law), and it couldn’t. As folks want more than just being cogs in a wheel — they’re humans afterall.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and over expecting a different result. The Democrat party needs to get off that ’68 Helter Skelter train and remember 1992, and the fall of the Soviet experiment — not try to repeat it.

I urge all of you to write to media outlets complaining about them pressuring Hillary to get out now. There is only ONE MONTH LEFT before the last primary. These people also deserve to have a vigorous campaign for once. The media does not truly believe in democracy which is often messy. They bemoaned the low level of voting in this country for years but the minute people get engaged they swoon over the divisiness. They seem to prefer a Russian-style “democracy” where elections are decided in advance. Much more civilized.

If the media stopped saying how divisive this process is and started saying how healthy it is for our democracy, it would not be damaging for Dems because it would make it clear that we are the party that welcomes true democratic processes. Republican leaders like to select a candidate in advance then sell it to the public the way they did with Bush. Dems traditionally are more democratic. For this they get ridiculed because the process is more messy.
This year has seen a weird reversal. Democratic leaders have tried to annoint Obama and push others out, while Republicans got stuck with McCain who is not a party player. If the media understood how true democracy works they would welcome the fact that the public is not willing to passively allow the elite to choose their candidates for them.

It is the Caucus’ states and states that had “open primaries” allowing the Republicans to game the results that have left me befuddled as to the make-up of the DNC leadership. I have heard everything about her “strategy” this morning from she’ll leave the race if Daddy Long Legs pays off her debt to she’s looking for the VP slot. Turn off the TV, spend the time with family and friends. It’s better to smell the roses than watching the thorns on the tube, anyway. Heck, grab a good book and drink and actually enjoy the time without the shrills.

Unfortunately how the media presents candidates matters. If people like us tune them out instead of paying attention and complaining to them the media will never change.

The media sold Bush to the American people in 2000 by going along with the right wing’s trashing of Gore with lies and by overlooking the serious issues in Bush’s past and his character flaws. The American people would never have elected Bush had they been given accurate pictures of both candidates. The irresponsibility of our media gave us this disastrous presidency which has negatively affected all of our lives and the stability of the entire world.

If we want to see a change in our politics, we need to keep paying attention to the media, as frustrating as that is, and start speaking up. The right wing has been doing this for years, flooding shows, networks and print outlets with complaints whenever their people or positions get criticized. Democrats and their leaders have sat passively by and allowed this to happen with the result that we get much harsher treatment. That is why even though polls consistently show the majority of Americans are much closer to Democrats’ position on issues, we keep losing elections.

If we want a healthy democracy we must fight hard to change this by pressuring the media to be objective, truthful and substantive. People have fought and died to protect our freedoms. The least we can do is fight back against the media.

Please bear in mind there are contemporaneous battles to be fought, both public and private with differing subject matter made by different people.

The Clinton campaign is making its case to the delegates. The delegates decide the outcome. The delegates are very much aware of the “irregularities” in this election and factor those in. Every “irregularity” uncovered that can be linked to Obama malfeasance further helps the Clinton campaign to make its case. The work done by pro-Hillary bloggers will give the Clinton campaign the extra umph it needs to secure the nomination.

Do you remember how you felt after Hillary had her resoundingly massive victory in Pennsylvania? Hold on to that feeling, it will propel you and your candidate to victory. Don’t give in to the temptation to fall into despair each time there is another hurdle in the path. Remember, the path may be bumpy at times but the path still leads to victory!

Hillary has shown amazing courage under fire, a leadership quality one absolutely has to have to be our Commander-in-chief. Hillary’s opponent eats a waffle and can’t debate her and thinks he is so cool he can just coast to victory. We as Hillary supporters must show the same courage under fire. This is when the tough get going as indeed the going has gotten tough.

I was following this story a few months ago. WhiteHouse.com hired a guy to do 2 lie detector tests on Sinclair and he failed both of them, so they dropped the story and didn’t investigate any further.

It’s interesting to see him still trying to get the story out though. I watched all of his You Tube videos and he really didn’t strike ME as mentally ill (which is what people are saying about him), but what do I know? He seemed legit to me.

I am SURE the Clinton people have looked into this though. IF they thought he is for real, they would leak this story to a trusted journalist (if any still exist???) and get it out. There would have to be OVERWHELMING evidence that the story is true. I’m sure AxelRove has made damn sure no evidence exists.

Wow that has to be one of the most shameful YouTube videos I’ve ever seen. Let’s see, where to start with a racist and bigoted attack. I’ll just make two main points, since I have better things to do than debunk each of your topics that have already been disproved by Obama, the media, and even the Clinton and McCain campaigns at times.

First, you are basing your entire video off of a characterization of all Muslims (even Muslim AMERICANS! which you clearly show in your video) as terrorists. That is one of the most despicable forms of political attacks possible in our society today, and this is coming from a Hillary supporter? I hope you “Clintonistas” are proud of your own, far superior friends to those “whiny Obamabots.” Remember the last time the US tried that approach? Those WWII Japanese internment camps sure were a big hit.

Second, you take things out of context even more than the mainstream media and rely on “logic” flawed to its core. OK, so there are people with signs that say “Islam will dominate the world.” And did these pictures come from Obama rallies…oh wait, no, they came from rallies in the Middle East. Clever work there. I think I’ll try to work up an anti-Hillary video since all I need to do is find some anti-NAFTA pictures from Canada and I’ll be set to go. These pictures (along with the one of Obama in traditional SOMALI clothing on a SENATE trip) aren’t even your most egregious error. So Obama wants: “Once I’m elected, I want to organize a summit in the Muslim world.” Funny how your sentence ends there. You didn’t just take that out of context, you cut the damn sentence in half!

Finally, your logic is so bizarre, I don’t think a five year old would understand it. So if a person says they support Obama, that means he automatically supports them right? Well I think I’ll try to go find a few serial killers and child molesters from the local jail that are looking for a little gas tax relief this summer and like Hillary’s plan. That’d be terrible for her wouldn’t it since that means she supports those kinds of people. The only clearly established tie is that of Obama to Rev. Wright, and has been repeatedly hashed out in the media, this tie has been cut. I could also go into extensive detail about how out of context this entire issue has been (Wright took the inspiration for the sermon from a US ambassador and said during the sermon, that it was from this man and not his own), how Wright has been misinterpreted on some points (I’m not defending his more absurd comments), and how other Americans have said the exact same things and taken no criticism (Pat Robertson, John Hagee, Ron Paul, a candidate himself!). These other ties are radicals that are doing no differently than when Al-Qaeda announced in 2004 they’d love to see Kerry win over Bush since Bush frightened them. Looks like their reverse psychology won out. And what’s wrong with Obama reaching out to traditional enemies? Our current standoffish policy clearly doesn’t work and we cannot afford wars with Iran and North Korea, especially when there is evidence that the majorities of each nation don’t actually agree with their leaders’ anti-American rhetoric. Why not have a president that can do things like this?:

Here is the deal, if Obama was so true to his word about Fla and Michigan, the why did he campaign in those two states?

In Florida against his pledge, Obama advertised there, he broke the rules, disqualified himself and yet he says Fla should not count, yet he campaigned there!

There are some pretty virulent comments being posted here. As a lifelong democrat, I find it disheartening that some supporters of Hillary Clinton are so abrasive in their opposition to Obama. It is a shameful and undignified representation of Hillary supporters and democrats everywhere. Please remember that there are undecided voters still reading these posts, and reading the posts on Obama’s blogs, which are noticably more respectful of Hillary’s campaign (with some exceptions, obviously). If you want to show your support for either candidate on the blogs, do so by presenting reasonable, thoughtful, g-rated, and positive comments. Otherwise, you’re running the risk of contributing to the “negative tone” of the campaign that has turned off so many undecided voters in recent weeks. However, they eventually get through. This is not about the abortion issue. That issue is used by the Republicans to divide voters, so I don’t think it will come before the SC. But, other issues will. For example, Ledbetter (sp?) vs. Goodyear. Look it up. She got screwed by the conservative court for not being aware of pay discrimination at the time of each raise compared to the male employees at Goodyear. Case after case will go by way of the corporation. It is a bigger deal than many realize. McCain flipped on torture, flipped on immigration. Even if he doesn’t go with Scalias and Thomases, they will still push the court more to the right.

I have begun that process and even have found a letter from some Obama supporters that they wrote, which actually worked. We must copy this and alter it with our reasons why Hillary should be the nominee, plus tell them we will not vote for Obama. We must let them know by not nominating Hillary, they are losing the core voting blocs he needs to win in November. This is the last critical phase in this long, grinding process. Ohio and Florida have a combined total of 47 electoral delegates. Berry’s states possibly in play are Virginia w/15, Colorado w/9, Minn.w/10, Iowa w/7, WI w/7, Navada w/5, NM w/4. Forget the south, they’re staying red. Berry would have to flip 6 to 10 of these smaller red and purple states in order to equal the electoral value of Ohio and Florida. The risks of having to win so many more states in order to secure the presidency, puts Berry at an imperical disadvantage. The more risk, the greater the probability for failure. The more states, the more risk.

Furthuremore, some of these states have been solid red states for a long time, like Colorado, Navada, Va., etc.. It’s very unlikely that he will be able to win all these states. No other democrat in history has been able to!!!!!!!Bottom Line is that a democrat can’t win without the rust belt, and Berry isn’t connecting well with the working class white folks in Ohio, Penn., and MI!!!!
