President Clinton’s Mother’s Day Message

Thanks so much for posting this video! It proves once again that Bill Clinton truly wants to make the world a better place. His efforts are all the more remarkable because he’s not on TV every day of the week, patting himself on the back for the job he does.

Is there any way we can amend the Constitution so he can run again?

I would vote for him in a NY split second.

You and me both, pm. I really like Bill Clinton. He’s the best President of my living memory. No one will ever accuse him of being a saint. But then, I’ve never run into any saints.

I especially love Bill’s cause of fighting child obesity. It doesn’t get much news, but his foundation has led the way to changing school menus, getting the junk food out of the vending machines, and adding different choices for drinks instead of the high sugar sodas.

Of course, he’s done so much around the world too. He’s a true humanitarian.

Shame on the Obama administration for trying to stifle his foundation. Shame on them.

Amazing, isn’t it? It’s so easy to look and listen to someone and be so clear about the fact that he actually gives a damn about the American people. Hillary is exactly the same.

I’d camp outside the civic center here the night before the election to vote Bill back into office.

We had such a wonderful chance with Hillary that was stolen by thugs. I will never forget that. EVER.

Amend the constitution? Absolutely! It’s time we had a president that actually loves our country.

Is Juanita Broaddrick a mother? I wonder what Bill’s message to her might be. Maybe it would be “Better put some ice on that lip”. Or “You better shut the F up or I’ll ruin your life like Paula Jones or Kathleen Willey.” Yeah, Bill’s a great guy alright. I will always be amazed at the level of adoration for the first sexual predator President.

From many accounts, Ted Bundy was an intelligent, well spoken, and likeable guy. Do you think that those qualities should negate his dark side in the history books? This fawning over Clinton reminds me of the bizarre type of attraction that is consistant with the marriage proposals Bundy received while on death row. Bill Clinton is simply a smooth talking bag of rat turds, and the epitome of a misogynist. He did more to destroy the integrity and honor of the Presidency than any of his predecessors, including Nixon. He did more than anyone to pave the way for the evil dissaster that now occupies the White House. He lowered the bar to such a depth that a slimy creep like 0bama could be considered for the job. Who’s the next candidate for Pres.? Larry Flint?

Bill better be careful-asking parents to be responsible and accoountable for their own kids is not PC-politically correct. He might get called a racist for that too.

It’s a very worthy effort and I hope parents and schools will wake up. Eating and exercise habits of the younger people is awful. I have a 27 yr old neice who is obese at 300 pounds-has been overweight since she was very young. She eats nothing but junk and sweets and doesn’t exercise. My sister and brother in law just let her do what she wants despite our concerns.

I see younger people and think “would someone please stand up and be a PARENT”??

BTW, Andrew, I forget to mention,BC indiscretion, didn’t give me sleepless nights about my future, my children and granchildren’s future. I have no quarrel with your assertions that Bill was a serial womanizer, but I would hardly call him a sexual predator on a par with Bundy. In the first place, the women who’ve come forward to accuse him were all willing participants. Even Paula Jones had a choice. And as for ruining her life, have you forgotten how Paula’s 15 minutes of fame brought her the funds to get a nose job and a job on cable dishing dirt?

As for your comments about Bill Clinton doing “more to destroy the integrity and honor of the Presidency than any of his predecessors…”, that is quite simply untrue. Warren G. Harding had an out-of-wedlock child with his mistress. Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, and JFK all had mistresses, and there were even rumore about a Johnson mistress. And that’s just the 20th century.

But I don’t care about any of those facts. The reason is this: they did not interfere with the men’s abilities to do their jobs as President. I don’t care what a man does in his personal life unless it alters his job performance.

Do you choose a neurosurgeon on the basis of his moral standing? I don’t think so. You look for the doctor with the best surgical skills. Do you care if the pilot flying the plane you board is cheating on his wife? No. You only want him to be certified as competent to fly a 757.

Now I wouldn’t want a husband like Bill. But that’s not why I support and admire Bill Clinton. As far as we know, GWB was a loyal and faithful husband to Laura. As far as we know he was also one of our worst Presidents. Give me aBill Clinton for President any day.

I don’t want to be an apologist for Bill Clinton, but I wanted to add a word on something that has bugged me for years. Alot of people called him a liar when he said he never had sexual relations with “that woman”. While I consider oral sex to fall in that category, I now know there are some people who don’t consider oral sex to be sexual relations.

I used to work in a children’s hospital. Young girls would come in for treatment and when asked if they were sexually active, would say no. When further questioned, they would reveal that they did have oral sex with their boyfriends, but didn’t count that because they were still “virgins” if they hadn’t had intercourse. At first I thought that was a crazy excuse until I heard it more than once.

In some parts of the country it’s only considered sexual relations if it is actual intercourse. Not giving Bill a pass here, but maybe, being a lawyer, he was trying to squirm out of admission by denying it was “real sexual relations”. He is, after all, still a country boy.

And shame on Obama for trashing the Clinton presidency during the campaign in order to advantage himself. The Clinton years were good ones and both Hillary and Bill arguably left the country better than they found it when Bill took office, his personal transgression notwithstanding.

Obama minimizing their accomplishments to people too young to know any better was a travesty. His besmirching both Hillary and Bill was the worst thing he did and I will not forget it.

I do. A president should be worthy of being held up as a symbol of our country. I recall the economy under Clinton fairly favorably, though he did initiate NAFTA; but he did not fulfill his campaign promises of environmental responsibility or promoting women’s rights. He had 2 lousy Secys Interior who assisted in the embezzlement of billions of dollars from Native Americans and its subsequent coverups & inaction.
There’s Waco, that happened under Clinton. And the Oklahoma city bombing. Its destruction sure was helpful in getting rid of all those pesky militias. Not to mention all the links to muslims like Ramzi Yousef that disappeared into the ether.
How about the no response to the 1996 attacks on Kohbar towers in Saudi Arabia, or the 1998 bombing of our embassy in Peru? Uh, the USS Cole??

I remember Bill Clinton as a far better president than Reagan or Bushes 1 & 2 (who had their own appalling track records), and way better than BHO looks to be. But I don’t think he was a great president. And not nearly as good as Hillary would have been.

PS; I forget to tell you, that Sunday, om Mothers day, when I was returning from my daughter house, I saw a nice clean cutting man, holding a piece of cartoon, asking for help. I never said, nor do I believe, that Bill Clinton was a perfect President. But I do think he accomplished alot for this country in spite of the Republicans fighting against his efforts at every turn. I don’t hold him responsible for terrorist acts plotted during his terms. Bush and Rice were warned to guard against such attacks and minimized the risks with tragic results. We’ll never know how Clinton would have handled it.

Consider this: Jefferson was a deeply flawed man, but one of our most acclaimed Presidents. He’s on Mt. Rushmore for a good reason.

The obvious response to the argument that BC’s private indescretions didn’t affect his job performance is to ask “How do you know it didn’t?”. How can you be certain…”

Obviously I can’t be certain, just as nobody can say for sure whether any of the above mentioned Presidents would have done things differently if they hadn’t had affairs. But if you’re implying that Bill would’ve been a better President except for Monica et al, then just imagine what he could accomplish now that everyone has an eye on him.

I totally agree with your suggestion that the FBI should even vet Prez candidates. But if they do that, then they should also vet the Speaker of the House. Newt Gingrich would’ve been removed before he could do the damage he did.

Did you know that some scholars have talked about how Abraham Lincoln actually considered disregarding the slavery issue in his bid to maintain the Union? He at one time had no strong feelings about it one way or the other. Yet he is rightly hailed as a great President, one of only four on Mt. Rushmore.

We would have been denied the genius of JFK if we had judged him solely on his propensity for bedding attractive women.

I thought it was a stupid act on his part, too, and was angry because he humiliated Hillary and Chelsea as well as himself. But I don’t hold him responsible for 8 years of Bush. Clinton left office with an approval factor of around 60%. Al Gore should’ve used Clinton to campaign and he should have mounted a challenge to all the questionable practices in Florida’s voting in 2000.

There’s alot of blame to go around for what happened in 2000.

True patriot, loves country, loves people, loves solving problems for the country. Tried to kill Osama but failed. Warned Bush of the danger of Osama but Bush/Cheney ignored it until it was too late.
This man brought in a return of jobs, savings, home buying, low deficits, and welfare reform. He ran on a platform of cutting the deficit in half, changing welfare as we know it, create jobs, etc. He accomplished most of his agenda in spite of the Repubs. He passed the deficit reduction package (spending cuts and capital gains tax increase) without one repub vote. Repubs ran negative campaign against him two years later on the tax increase issue and rumors about sexual issues and won because the American people would rather be guided in their voting by bullshit rather than by good policy.
I am AA and to me he was more of an AA president than Obama, whom I despise, will ever be.

If Bill were the “smartest President ever,” he would have kept his pants zipped. He is absolutely, without any possible argument, responsible for shrub Bush being elected. Remember the book “When Presidents Lie?” Its thesis is that there are massive and not immediately measurable consequences to the great lies of presidents. So too, there may be massive and not immediately measurable consequences to the transgressions of presidents as they are exposed. In this case, we experienced the Bush administration. These would NEVER have happened without Clinton’s transgressions. Therefore, we would not have had the invasion of Iraq. It is arguable that we would not have had the successful attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon because Bush’s arrogance prevented him from believing that such an attack could occur, so he ignored the warnings that it was coming. The issue of Afghanistan might have been dealt with by diplomats instead of with an invasion. In short, I’d like to slap Clinton for what he has caused.
