More “Hacking Democracy” Live Chat Reminder

DISCLAIMER: We do not personally endorse BlackBoxVoting and, while we are aware of the complex stories behind the controversies, we are not focusing on those stories during this presentation and haven’t any inclination to get into those stories via e-mails or blog posts. What we are concerned about is the legitimacy of voting methodologies in the U.S. We hope that airing this documentary will stimulate conversation and action about voting methods. Of note: The film was reviewed and vetted by HBO Documentaries, including its staff and legal counsel, before its airing on HBO.

    I highly recommend Mr. Phillips’ video to those of you who would imagine that ascertaining accurate vote counts from old-fashioned punch card voting would be easier than from electronic voting machines (assuming we could eliminate the problem of “hanging chads” caused perhaps by coating the backs of the cards with wax to make punching appear to have permanently opened the hole when it did not).

    I am thrilled that you are showing Hacking Democracy. Until all the electronic voting machines, both DRE’s and optical scams (coined by my friend Lucius Chiaravaglio)are made illegal and never used again, there is no democracy in the USA

    I am a good friend and colleague of Kathleen Wynn, an ardent feminist, and an ardent hand-counted paper ballot advocate.

    WE IN FL GOT RID OF THE DRE’S ( Sequoia in my county ) for the 2008 election and how did it work our for us..oh yeah..it was the dems & the DNC that then stole our vote!!
