Talking about “gun rights” and “HE WAS IN VIETNAM AND HAS MEDALS OF VALOR!” doesn’t matter (in Vietnam they threw medals at soldiers as morale boosters — took hell to get the same commendations from Korea on back, in contrast [we're talking walking a mile back with mortal wounds; helping to forestall an invasion over their line; and died trying to save his buds, type of guts. You do not understand the Democratic electorate. They aren’t into angsty youth movements, they are too tired supporting their angsty youths. You understand the fringe who adores Obama. They are not the majority. They weren’t the majority last time or the time before either. Obama will never be president.

Same can be said of the extremes on the Right, between Goldwater and even Ron Paul.

America just isn’t into radicals, even if they can preach stuff you can agree upon (I agreed alot with Pat Buchanan, but some of the things he advocates won’t be accepted by voters).

So it’s a wash, with average people. We now don’t like either party.

OR….it could be a rare historical moment for a true 3rd party to emerge in those 4 years.

Oh, how I wish. A moderate party that’s more interested in doing what’s good for the country, not answering to 1000001 special interests first (and clamoring for their money to keep them in power, to abuse the very folks paying their salary — I don’t think 50+% of the Democratic party is pleased in paying Dean and Donna’s paycheck now anyway).

Let’s hope upon hope that God answers our prayers, for some human salvation to break the gridlock and sheer partisanship.
