Joe Blows and Barack Must Have Gone Ballistic

I’m dying of curiosity! Do any of you know where the wood shed is located on the White House grounds?

This is Joe Biden speaking at the commencement ceremony at the Air Force Academy yesterday, when the wind came up and blew over a teleprompter:

Politico’s Ben Smith wrote, “The veep gives some juice to what is not the White House’s favorite story line …”

[N]ot content to leave without a jaunty ad lib, Biden noted that heavy winds were gusting through the ceremonies. One of his two teleprompters had toppled over. Alluding to the jokes of Obama’s reliance on the speech-facilitators, Biden added, “What I am going to tell the president when I tell him his teleprompter is broken? What will he do then?”

NATURALLY, I was concerned about our friend Totus, so checked out his blog:

First, it wasn’t me.

Second, we don’t bother giving Joe a real Teleprompter. It’s just two screens that plays “Tom and Jerry” cartoons on a loop.

    Even though this is the worse administration ever, and Joe is such an idiot you have to admit Joe always does something to make us laugh and reallize how Dumb all our politicians really are.

      He always makes me laugh. I guess it’s true then, I thought people were just kidding…He really was told to just follow the TelePrompter and someone else is writing all his speeches. Apparently Joe has his own guardian angel that says, “Say what you want Joe and took care of his problem.” ;)

    is so passive aggressive that it is laughable…
    He rarely misses an opportunity to debase him in some way…and there is very little that Obambi can do, without looking like a poor sport…

    I declare, it is so very haard to be a Usurper these days, you just get no respect at all…even from your VP….

        You need to stop thinking about Hillary ever being a Vice President to Barack Obama. The only lamenting going on here is another of his poor decisions showing loudly. Hillary would never be his Vice President because he is a fraud. He is a liar. He is incapable of performing his job and obviously doesn’t care.
        Her association with his administration is the only bright light. Unfortunately she has to put his policies forward and that alone must make her sick. She obviously is not comfortable with all of them as she consistently refers to the policies she must espouse as Barack Obamas views. Most notably with his ignorant handling of Israel, gays and his upcoming resolution of the immigration issues facing our nation. His pointed remarks by his new secretary Napolitino with reference to swine flu and Mexico, his infamous directives regarding ‘drug lords..cartels, etc always combined with Mexico-lead me to believe he will once again dump Hispanics…just like Bush did by nominating Gonzalez to Attorney General-placate, lie and change the subject=move 1..move 2= break the promise.
        So don’t mix them-HRC and BO as they are very different in their beliefs (Hillary actually has some) and their ethics(Hillary actually has some)

      And thanks for the great laugh, Susan. I saw this yesterday but I must say, it struck me even funnier today. He really got snarky there. I mean, he seemed pissed at POTUS to me.

        Ani, Might this have something to do with the big, public kiss Obama gave Jill Biden before the inauguration? I always thought that was a deliberate attempt to show Joe who was in charge.

    I’m starting to really like Joe. That sarcasm when he said, What will he do now?” Love it. I saw it a few times yesterday. Man, oh, man would I enjoy being Biden’s beer buddy. We could meet at the bar and throw out Obama slams together all day long! Sad, that he is probably gonna get fired before too long. I just hope he’s been collecting dirt!

        Well it all fits in with my fantasy political scenario. The one where Biden becomes POTUS after Obama goes to jail (probably because of the dirt Biden is accumulating) and then Biden appoints Hillary as VP and shortly thereafter, Biden steps down for health reasons. A horrible wrong finally righted, finally President H.R. Clinton! I wake up everyday and check the news in hopes of my dream scenario coming true. Until it does, Biden makes me laugh.

    That’s a good question, what would he(Obama)do? Speak from the heart for a change? Learn to think on his own feet?

    Give me President Truman, President Eisenhower, etc. because these men did their own talking. It’s way past time for Obama to take the training-wheels off and leave the teleprompter to those who are unable to think and speak on their own two feet. Cowboy Up, Mr. President?

          Since I really havent seen Obama doing anything I would consider brillant or say anything without a telepromter that was brillant Im really not sure how intelligent Obama is. I think Obama intelligence is becoming an issue as many realize Obama just cannot put two sentences together unless he is reading the teleprompter.

    I think Biden tries to put that as a joke, still I sense a little enmity in there with a dash of passive aggression. Resentful maybe? That he was just used to gain working class votes, and not because he was needed in any capacity for the actual job?

    Joe Biden’s been around DC for decades. He may be playing the buffoon but I have a feeling he knows exactly what he’s doing.

    I suspect he gets away with his remarks about Obama because he definitely knows where Obama’s “bodies” are buried.

    He’s like a genial version of Cheney.

      seems to be so contrived…
      it is so very counter-intuitive…
      It seems so outlandish that the FBI, CIA are not aware of the eligibility dilemma, or whatever else is going on…
      I cannot help but think that there is so much more to this than meets the eye…
      and we are like dogs chasing our tails…

    I doubt the president cares any more than his supporters after deflecting the issue by poking fun of it himself at the White House Correspondents Association dinner:

    “You know I had an entire speech prepared for this wonderful occasion, but now that I am here, I am going to try something a little different — I am going to speak from the heart,” Obama said jokingly as his teleprompter rose from the floor.

      I laugh when I hear all you 0bots’ tortured logic on this issue. All your idol needs to do is to be more articulate without the teleprompter, be a bit more engaging without his deadpan teleprompter reading face, at least occasionally take his eyes off the teleprompter to look at the audience and relate to them and their reaction, not having to be seen with his head go from side to side…..

        Did I imply in any sense his lack of concern was correctly insignificant ? No. The utter reliance on any form of speech facilitator should matter a great deal. Obama doesn’t take Joe out after following the same line of attack himself. My reading of the situation doesn’t make it in the least defensible.

    Go, Joe! Speak your mind. I may not agree with your policies, especially ramping up credit card interest during your Senate years, if my facts are corret. Still, you are a breath of fresh air and will have political connections, friends and some kind of stature long after bho has slithered off to Hawaii.

    I think Joe rather deftly gives us a glimpse into just how childish and unprepared Obama really is. Sure, it’s guised as a joke here and there, but Joe is far more wise than we give him credit.

    He puts the attention right back on Obama with a jaundiced cast. It helps to balance all the hopey dopey crap.

      true, in between verbal mishaps joe comes up with some interesting thoughts. in foreign relations he is actually well informed and knows his stuff. many had thought if kerry were elected he might have been s of s. however he appears to have a problem and personally i think he imbibes. coming from a family of imbibers, it is easy to spot.

      Naw – he would rather have Biden over HIllary with all of his stupid gaffes than dare have Hillary as his VP, not withstanding his wife hates her, but the fact that she, a brilliant woman, who initially threatened him could be president if anything happened to him, like he had to step down, or whatever. I swear he just could not tolerate it. I really think he is sexist, especially when it comes to a strong woman who stands in the way of what he wants. He’s as psycho-narcistic as they come!

        Yah, I think he picked Biden because he knew he had to balance out the ticket with some foreign policy experience but he had to make sure whomever he chose would never outshine him in regards to public adoration or perceived brilliance. So some of these gaffes of Bidens I think are intentional or at least Biden makes no effort to censor himself because he doesn’t care if it freaks out Obama. I think it’s his way at getting back at Obama for marginalizing him.

    The toppling of that teleprompter just as Joe was saying “thin air” leads me to the obvious conclusion that this was an act of divine intervention signifying that the gods are not pleased with the Obama administration.

    As I recall there were several prominant persons who turned down Obama’s offer or request to run as his vice president. Maybe they knew something “Joe the Jester” did not. Seriously though, my take is that Joe Biden is beginning to see just how dumb Obama really is and he has lost all respect for him. therefore when he speaks “wht comes up, comes out”.

    Biden’s idiotic gaffes pretty much fill in on a daily basis!
