I have tried several times to revisit Dr. Long's site..but for some reason have been denied this because of lack of "authorization". The site was available before. Does anyone know what the problem is? It was one of the best sites that explained in very clear detail the methods that were used to steal the election from Hillary.

Who is it NOW represents? Not me that is for sure. Didn't they used to have a stated purpose of representing women? Who do they represent now? Some milk toast guy down the street I think. Someone who won't cause them no trouble. No me that is for sure. They are so yesterday.

This pingback is sooooo full of lies. I'm not going to give that site a hit by clicking on their link. NOW endorsed Barry INSTEAD of Hillary. NOW did not condemn the sexism and misogyny of the MSM, the DNC and Camp Obama!

I meant to reply to elise's post. I wouldn't think Gandy would care about HRC supporters. I still remember when Nancy Keenan endorsed Barack in Feb of 08. Just what did HRC stand for that Nancy couldn't abide by? Her pro-reproductive rights record or her feminism?
I thought Gandy campaigned for HRC during the primary?

[...] NoQuarter also revealed that Lynette Long and bigot Paulie Abeles will be heading to to the annual NOW convention in Indianapolis on June 19 – June 21. They hate NOW because they committed the crime of supporting a Democratic Candidate for the General Election. (Long campaigned for McLame). They are going to help elect a new President.
Elise, I am a NOW state officer, and I can tell you Kim is NOT trying to appease the Hillary faction of NOW. Far from it. I will be going to Indianapolis in the hopes that there are enough credentialed delegates to vote for the slate that, in my opinion, has NOW's best interests at heart. If no one else can update NQ readers on what happens, I'll be happy to do so. Hang in there, Elise. We have a chance to turn this thing around.

Susan, I am a NOW member and want to clarify here that only NOW members who are a credentialed delegates, which means they are credentialed by a chapter, can vote at the NOW conference. While any NOW member can attend the conference (or even non members) they will not have a vote unless they are credentialed delegates.

I would like to see the US Women's Movement more active on the World Wide <a href="http://weblogs.amny.com/entertainment/urbanite/blog/2009/05/violence_against_women_a_world.html" rel="nofollow"> Repression of Women's Rights.</a>

The stigma of rape and mutilation by soldiers. The sting of a single, angry slap to the face. The suppression of the right to vote or attend school.

In every corner and to varying degrees, injustices against women cast a shadow over efforts to protect human rights.

“It is a far too prevalent scourge in many parts of the world. In fact, in all parts of the world in terms of domestic violence,” said Frederick Jones, spokesman for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who plans to reintroduce the International Violence Against Women Act in Congress this year.

One in three females will be beaten, forced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime, according to the United Nations Development Fund for Women. And in some countries, nearly 70 percent of women report brutality that includes dowry violence and genital mutilation.

amNewYork examined some regions of the world and the gender-based injustices that plague them.
