The Plot Thickens…

As it turns out, the domestic terrorist, Abdulhakim Muhammad, who targeted Army soldiers outside of a recruiting station in Little Rock, Arkansas may not be acting independently after all. This is disturbing, to say the least. Here’s the latest on what has been discovered about him, some more details about Private Long, and a new video from bin Laden threatening the US:

Wow. That is some mighty disturbing news (here is the LINK, if you’d rather read the article), is it not, both in terms of Muhammad and bin Laden? Well, Joe Biden said this president was going to be “tested by an international crisis within the first six months,” and so he is. It’s a shame he’s too busy trying to garner more accolades from other countries* rather than dealing with the very pressing issues here at home, but I think most of us expected that, didn’t we?

And so this isn’t abstract, this is Private Long, the soldier whose life was snuffed out bu this domestic terrorist:

As of this writing, Obama STILL has not made a statement about the soldiers ambushed in Little Rock. His silence speaks volumes. Especially as he IS the Commander in Chief. But he has nothing to say about two US Army soldiers gunned down in broad daylight in one of our cities? Nothing?? Holy smokes. Like I said – that speaks volumes to me, and what it says is NOT GOOD.

I cannot help but wonder how these two soldiers’ families feel that Obama has remained silent this attack? Especially Private Long’s family, as they deal with their tragic loss with no phone call from the White House? Not to mention what it says to their fellow soldiers…What kind of impact is this having on them? I can only imagine… I know it’s having a pretty big impact on a whole bunch of us who care about terrorists attacks on our own soil of those who have given their lives in service to this country…And I do know that many of us extend out hearts and prayers to all of them, the families, the other soldiers, and the people of Little Rock.

The difference between the treatment and coverage of the murders of Dr. Tiller and Pvt. Long is getting some notice, though:

I hope that Obama will wait no longer to extend his sympathies to Pvt. Long’s family. But I’m not holding my breath…And that’s just sad.

* By the way, Obama has claimed that our country has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. This is laughable on the face of it, but if you want to read the actual statistics, and a great post on this topic as well as Obama’s latest Magical Mystery Tour, I recommend LisaB’s, “When Is ‘Hussein’ Not A Smear? When Obama Say’s It’s Not, OF Course.” I won’t keep you in suspense – we are nowhere CLOSE to having the largest Muslim population in the world. We have about 2.3 million Muslims here, nowhere NEAR as many as a number of other countries.

  • SFIndie

My heart breaks for the family and friends of Pvt. Long. He is a victim of domestic terrorism, pure and simple.

The Pretender’s silence concerns me for two reasons.

First, I think he has no idea how to address this act of domestic terrorism without (in his mind) offending the Muslim community both within and outside of the U.S. – which I would guess is something he doesn’t want to do. (Maybe he’ll have a little chat with Abdulhakim Muhammad and tell him how wrong he was to murder one American soldier and wound another because after all, sitting down with no preconditions and talking to those who want to see you destroyed will resolve everything.)

Second, I don’t trust him not to use this incident to promote the necessity of his “civilian army”. Watch for more Explorer Scouts being militarily trained; next we’ll see Girl Scouts carrying guns instead of selling cookies.

Biden said we’d have to trust The Pretender? “Stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.” I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. The Pretender is in way over his head; he just does not have a clue. And it seems he’s surrounded himself with people who are as clueless as he is.

    • Tomcat

next we’ll see Girl Scouts carrying guns instead of selling cookies.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” I just got off the phone with Quentin Tarantino and that was his reaction to your idea. You don’t mind if they dress like ninjas, do you?

      • SFIndie

        ROFLMAO

Quentin can dress them up any way he likes! Have his people call my people to discuss further…..

    • Docelder

use this incident to promote the necessity of his “civilian army”

That and bring back the draft and close all recruiting stations altogether. He doesn’t want the military to have roots to the community. He wants them under his thumb. He wants the brown shirts to have the community roots.

      • listing starboard

But a draft would mean that white liberals and entitlement benefactors might have to serve their country–come on now, everyone knows only kids from the Red States are allowed to risk their lives for this country.

        • bybabyby1234

it will be not just Middle Class young man and woman serving in Military, but all young man and woman incl. students of universities and veterans up to 40 years old or older.Hope that Mr.Obama will bring OUR young people back from Iraq very soon.

    • hokma

Agree, except I would not just call this “domestic terrorism.” The radcial Islamic teachings in the mosques and prisons in this country come directly from the Middle East. There can be no distinction between groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al Qaeda.

Our greatest danger the indoctrination of underprivileged people and prisoners in jail into radical Islam.

That is why taking known terrorists and placing them in our prisons on our shores will inevitably lead to a greater rate of those kind of indoctrinations.

      • MessyMarcy

The perp in this case is not underprivileged. His family operates a bus tour company in Memphis that had recently expanded to Little Rock. And of course the reporters were swarming all over his family’s neighborhood in Memphis to get comments. It looked to be a fairly affluent community, and the neighbors who spoke to reporters said they were shocked and spoke highly of the family and the young man. It will be interesting to find out at what point this kid was indoctrinated with such hatred and who is responsible. From what was shown of the plea and arraignment on the local news, he was rather passive through most of it.

There was also a really heartbreaking interview with the father of the young man who was killed. After a long military career, they had retired to Arkansas for the peace and quiet.

    • Portia Elizabeth

And if you don’t buy their cookies, they report you to the government.

  • tango

Even if Obama issued some sort of statement about Pvt Longs death today, it’s too late. I now know that man has absolutely no regard for the military except when it can glorify him – as in the pirate situation a few months ago.

I know now about what’s important to the Obama Administration: a soldier killed in America at the hands of a religious terrorist because he didn’t like what the young man did for a living is not even worth a public statement of sympathy for the family. Contrast that with a doctor killed in America (a few days before) at the hands of a religious terrorist because he didn’t like what the middle aged man did for a living and a statement out outrage is made by Obama within a day.

I’m sure the silence of President Obama & his whole Administration brings peace to the families, friends and military comrades of both soldiers.

    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

I couldn’t agree more, tango…He made the one abt Tiller not 7 hrs after the fact, and he waits DAYS for two of our soldiers? As I said, for the Commander in Chief to wait that long is reprehensible.

I have NO love lost for Bush, but can you IMAGINE if he had waited that long?? All of us liberals would have been screaming our heads off. Obama does it, and his people make excuses, attacking instead those of us who point out his failures rather than looking at his lack of action on this. Typical…

  • Ladydawnelle

I swear the dude looks like a pointy eared DEMON from one of Michaelangelo’s (sp) paintings!!

seriously evil and his human body can’t HOLD the DEMON inside so it’s POPPING out through his ears, eyes, face….

    just an observation

    • http://deleted Betsy Buzz Ross Latte

Oh that’s weird. I thought the same thing when I saw a photo of the alleged shooter yesterday.

The evil genie let out of the bottle from cartoons also came to mind.

  • HC123

Unlike Dr. Tiller’s murder, this tragic event does not advance any cause for Der Leader. Therefore, he will say next to nothing and move on to his next opportunity.

If enough people complain, he will say something “profound” for Pvt Long, full of ums and pregnant pauses, and his followers will once again remind us of his “eloquence and sensitivity”.

Remember, Obama has the biggest heart ever. I know this is true because Harry Reid said so.

  • oowawa

By the way, Obama has claimed that our country has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. This is laughable on the face of it,

Posted in Wikipedia article “Religion in the United States”:

According to a 2007 survey,[11] the following is the order of religious preferences in the United States:

    * Christian: (78.4%)
    o Protestant (51.3%)
    o Roman Catholic (23.9%)
    o LDS (1.7%)
    o Jehovah’s Witness (0.7%)
    o Orthodox (0.6%)
    o other Christian (0.3%)
    * no religion (16.1%)
    * Jewish (1.7%)
    * Buddhist (0.7%)
    * Muslim (0.6%)
    * Hindu (0.4%)
    * other (1.2%)

According to these figures, Buddhists and Jehovah’s Witnesses edge out Muslims, and Mormons and the Jewish faith almost triple Islam’s numbers in the USA.

    • tango

Well maybe Obama is including all those Muslims living in US States 51-57?

      • http://rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

ROTFLMAO – oh, good one! Thanks for the laugh in the midst of this tragedy…

    • Ellen D

Now that we are discussing religious percentages:

      o Protestant (51.3%)
      o Roman Catholic (23.9%)

We are soon going to have 6 Supremes out of nine that are Catholic . 2 are Jewish. We have one out of nine that is from the largest religious group in the U.S. I can’t help but think this is going to be significant in the future.

With regard to this terrorist – isn’t this a hate crime? If you are being targeted because you are a member of a group – military, homosexual, Jewish, abortion doctors, etc. are these murderers being charged with hate crimes? Hate is hate.

      • oowawa

Ellen, I never heard this before about the religious make-up of SCOTUS. It is surprising.

I am in full agreement with your statement about hate crimes: “hate is hate.” It all begins with demonizing a definable group, and then proceeds to the next step: violent assault against the ideologically dehumanized members of that group. I agree that this attack against the soldiers fits this definition of a “hate crime.”

      • oowawa

I filed an agreement with your post about “hate crimes” Ellen, but the Almighty Spam Filter is diligently guarding his domain this morning and excommunicated my reply.

I guess there is now a statement from the WH:

“I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

    And the plot doubly thickens:

Several weeks ago, STRATFOR heard from sources that the FBI and other law enforcement organizations had been ordered to “back off” of counterterrorism investigations into the activities of Black Muslim converts. At this point, it is unclear to us if that guidance was given by the White House or the Department of Justice, or if it was promulgated by the agencies themselves, anticipating the wishes of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.

    http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/06/red-alert-did-white-house-order-fbi-to.html

    • Portia Elizabeth

That’s it? That’s all the WH had to say? Where’s the outrage? And those condolences didn’t come close to sounding sincere.

      (Expletives deleted!!!)

And if it’s proven that those f**kers knew and backed off, then I hope they rot in hell. (I am, of course, referring to the WH.)

  • NomNomNom

thx RRRA. I wondered whether he could be acting alone. Someehow a trip to Yemen to study jihad with a fake Somali passport seems kind of organized for a psycho acting alone.
One wonders why he wasn’t kept under better surveillance upon his return. I would imagine there are not very many American citizens deported from Yemen after having been jailed there.
As for BHO’s silence I’m sure the Saudis told him to keep his mouth shut his advisers told him it we be impolitic to publicly condemn a muslim just before his trip to the middle east. They seem really impressed by his courtesy. Or something.

  • aeguy

Obama STILL has not made a statement about the soldiers ambushed in Little Rock. His silence speaks volumes.

Obama did make a statement. You guys need to fact-check before you write articles. Here it is:

“I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

    • http://rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

I do fact check, aeguy. Read what I wrote above: “As of this writing…” Maybe you could do a little “fact checking” of your own.

This statement by the WH was not made until way, WAY after the fact, and when I wrote this LAST NIGHT, Obama still had not said anything – that is the point. Let’s try to stay on it this time and not get bogged down (and if you are referring to the other post I wrote on this topic, I made it clear that additions were made to my post – not by me. It is rare, but once in a blue moon, additions are made to posts, mine included. That being said, as of THAT writing, what was added was true. That doesn’t mean things don’t CHANGE, but these posts don’t go up instantaneously.).

Once again, just to be clear, since there seems to be a problem with that: OBAMA WAITED DAYS BEFORE MAKING A STATEMENT ABOUT TWO ARMY SOLDIERS BEING GUNNED DOWN IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Clear enough?

      • aeguy

He made the statement yesterday. I found it this morning. You could have checked and then made an update today.

        • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

You continue to miss the point. DAYS he waited. Is that clear to you? I don’t give a damn if he made it THIS morning – those soldiers were gunned down JUNE 1st!!!! It is June 4th!!!!!!!!

          • http://deleted Betsy Buzz Ross Latte

Ah, yes aeguy, making friends and winning others over once again.

aeguy please give a link for it seems that most media, even the Obama biased ones had no statement yesterday.

        • Portia Elizabeth

So please explain, aeguy, where is the outrage that BO expressed over the death of a doctor who was not defending our country?

        • layla

Oh it’s all good then – he made the statement yesterday -Let’s see now, if he had said nothing about the abortion doctor murder immediately, you would be howlin’, eh? Be honest now, lol.

THIS MURDER BY THIS BLACK MUSLIM HAPPENED ON JUNE 1 BEFORE BARACK LEFT FOR SAUDI ARABIA – I’M TELLING YOU – HE WOULD NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL HE MET WITH THE GREAT KING OF SAUDI ARABIA AND BOWED TO HIM AND THEN ASKED HIS ADVICE!

This is a nightmare that will never end – this empty suit gets a pass for EVERYTHING. It is incredible he was elected president. He doesn’t even act like one – giving the queen an IPOD? And he makes fun of rednecks. LOL

If Bush had kept silent for even 2 days regarding a muslim killing a soldier, every democrat would have been screaming about it, and frankly, I did not even hear the repubs decrying it either. But puppet barfac waited 3 whole days before addressing it and then when he was out of the country. What a load of crap and everyone is letting him get away with it because the media tells them to.

Not really Rev. I’ve been pointing out the double standards here. And if you didn’t know, I am a strong HRC supporter. Donated 2000 dollars to her campaign. I was so pissed off at the Obama campaign’s treatment of her that I did not vote in the general.

And to be clear. This tragedy IS a big deal. What I meant is not a big deal is whether or not Rev included Obama’s statement soon enough or not. I’m letting the “fact check” stuff go.

            Carry on.

            • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

Well, aeguy, if you say so – but considering the tack you have continued to take here, focusing NOT on the tragedy of what happened in Little Rock, and instead on whether I change my entire post to reflect that Obama, three days late, makes a lame statement abt two of our military personnel being gunned down in cold blood on one of our streets, you’ll forgive me if I need more convincing from you on the Hillary front.

I’m afraid I just don’t see the “double standard” of which you speak. The “double standard” I see, and abt which I wrote, is that Obama was QUICK to make a statement abt Dr. TIller’s murder, and inexcusably LAX in making one abt these two soldiers. THAT’S the double standard I think is glaring. But apparently where you are concerned, it seems that’s just me…

              Thanks for coming by.

              • aeguy

Here’s the double standard, at least from the right (you’re not a republican so this isn’t directed towards you):

The man who murdered Dr. Tiller was just a murder, not a terrorist. The man who murdered the soldier, because he’s a Muslim, is a terrorist. In my view, they’re both terrorists.

As for Hillary Clinton, I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not giving you any personal info so you can check my donation, but I am a strong supporter. I feel she was mendaciously attacked by the Obama campaign and the media. I’m still pissed off about it.

                • Docelder

But… the man who murdered Dr. Tiller singled him out personally. The man who killed the soldier probably did not even know the soldier’s name. He didn’t care about the name, or the man. Bin Laden didn’t know who would be killed 9-11. He didn’t care to know. Is terrorism by it’s nature not completely dependent on this uncertainty?

                  • aeguy

Terrorism is rooted in some kind of cause, politics or religion. The man who targeted Tiller attacked him because of his extreme pro-life views. His objective was to scare other doctors who perform abortions to think twice about what they’re doing. That’s fear. That’s terrorism. It doesn’t matter that Dr. Tiller was specifically targeted. His objective was to terrorize abortion doctors. Terrorists targeted the WTC and the Pentagon. The idea that terrorists do not plan or organize is absurd.

                    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

aeguy – honestly, I wouldn’t ask you for any – I’ll just take your word on this.

And I think we are in agreement far more than disagreement, truly. I think Tiller’s murderer WAS a domestic terrorist, and did have ties to Operation Rescue. I have experienced their vitriol up close and personal myself, like when I escorted a friend into the clinic, or engaged in counter protests against Operation Rescue – they can be very violent – they threatened a friend of mine, another minister, who was even wearing his collar at the time! So I know how they can be.

But Roeder did have connections with them – not like he WORKED for them, or anything, but he did communicate with them, and abt Tiller in particular (bluelyon provided me with some links – here they are: http://donklephant.com/2009/05/31/tiller-murder-suspect-is-scott-roeder-connected-with-operation-rescue/ and http://donklephant.com/2009/06/02/operation-rescue-number-found-in-scott-roeders-car/).

But I hear you that some groups are not making that connection. That is just flat WRONG in my opinion. As I said the other day, I have LONG considered the attacks on those affiliated with women’s health clinics to be domestic terrorists.

I think we need to start over, you and I – we seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot. Like I said, I think we are in agreement far more than we aren’t. And I know that when I write things, even like the comments above, when I am trying to be funny (ahem), it doesn’t always convey in writing. So, I apologize for that.

And I apologize for calling you an Obot. Mea culpa…I take it back! :-)

                    • aeguy

The funny thing is that I’ve read your stuff since the primaries. I’ve enjoyed your writing. I just disagree with you sometimes when I think you take it too far with Obama. I’m sorry that I unfairly attacked you, I didn’t know that you wrote the story yesterday.

                      Thanks.

aeguy just wants you to feed his superiority complex needs. Don’t do it.

                http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superiority_complex

Of Note:…Behaviors include…exaggerated opinion of one’s worth and abilities, unrealistically high expectations in goals and achievements for oneself and others, persistent attempts to correct others (regardless of whether or not they are actually correct)…a tendency to discredit others’ opinions and over-forcefulness aimed at dominating… realization of such a complex results in cognitive dissonance – where have we heard that one before?

The only thing Obama cares about is himself and all the adoration he can get from people.

    • ConfusedAmerican

Took him long enough. He had a statement about the abortion out almost before it hit the news.
Like many have said….Abortion is a cause Obama is behind, but Muslim terrorists is another story.

    • outlawales

      too little too late

    • Patience

The POTUS’ statement came 2 days after the Army recruiter was murdered. He offered condolences but expressed no outrage.

His statement about the abortion doctor’s murder was made hours after it happened and in it he clearly expressed outrage.

I therefore think there’s a legitimate excuse for analysis and criticism. Maybe your fact-checking should be more comprehensive.

    • rw

If I were Long/Ezeagwula families, I’d tell him to take his statement and shove it.

Seems it did not fit his “agenda” to publicly make the statement himself before his third hyped trip.

      • listing starboard

Look how he has crapped on the survivors of USSCole –he hates the military and is hellbent on weakening our defense

        • aeguy

Yet the defense budget increased 9%.

          • rw

            9%?

“The Pentagon budget represents a 4 percent increase over last year’s budget, but defense officials say the days of wild defense spending for the wars must come to an end.”

from: “Obama’s defense budget shifts focus to Afghanistan and Pakistan” CSMonitor

Has anyone compared the two statements Obama made. Take a look and see what you think….

Recruitment Statement “I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

The Tiller Shooting “I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.”

CA– thank you for putting these up to compare the actual words.

    • Diana

Both these murders deeply sadden me. I’m surprised Obama took any time from campaigning to address either one. He never said a word as more than 30 children were gunned down in his district while he was out campaigning during the primaries. Not a word. Which was the very first thing that turned me against Obama to the point I knew if Hillary wasn’t nominated I was not going to vote for him.

He doesn’t care about this country, the citizens of this country. He doesn’t even want to be our President. This was nothing more than a conquest for him. He wants to be a movie star writing the entire script to make himself look good as King of the World. He doesn’t belong traveling the world, using our tax money for his partying, date nights. There are millions of people in this country that are suffering and need a strong leader, all they got was an actor, that has nothing more than ‘just words’…

      • ConfusedAmerican

Both these murders more than saddened me they DISGUSTED me…
Sadden is hearing an old friend or movie idol passed away or something similar.

Great piece RRRA! Given that BO is teh (!) Commander-in-Chief, you’d think a comment, no matter how brief, could have been made immediately.

Ultimately, we understand, far better, the Tiller shooter. We know what that’s about, why and who is likely involved. It’s domestic and we’re familiar with it. We may be on different sides, but we know where this came from and understand the players.

The recruitment center shooter, OTOH, is not at all well known. Why, who, motive are all still not clear. That should be a flag that this story could be even bigger than the other one. Who are the players here? We don’t know. Who’s at risk? That’s not clear either.

Police got the recruitment shooter quickly. They probably figured out some basic things quickly – like that he targeted these people because they had the temerity to be in the armed forces. Obama should have commented then. Anything less shows disinterest.

He’ll probably say he wanted to “wait until he had the facts.” But the guy was dead; he was in uniform; and he was targeted. That was known on the first day. How complicated would it have been to simply give condolences to a family mourning a young man trying to serve his country?

    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

      Thanks, LisaB!! I appreciate that…

And yeah – they had some facts pretty fast on this, especially since the FBI was already investigating this guy. Not that Obama wouldn’t still use that as an excuse, mind you!!!

But I think you hit the nail on the head – these were soldiers, they were shot, and one was killed. What else is there to know?!?!?!? Sheesh…

And thanks again for the great piece on this being a Muslim nation – did you see the hilarious comment by tango that maybe if you include Muslims from States 51-57 it is?? Oh, there are some funny people here!!!

Ever since last November I’ve been praying that the sobering responsibility of the job would transform the man from a shallow, self-absorbed narcissist into a true leader. I hoped even as I knew what sort of person he was. I wanted to be proven wrong about all my misgivings.

I realize now that everything I suspected about his lack of character is fact. I have scraped more character off the bottom of my shoe than he possesses. My dog has left nobler qualities on my lawn than he owns. I can only hope now that this affliction on our nation will be over in three years.

  • Mary Miller

Are all of you forgetting that Barack Obama wants to be ‘world leader’? Why, all of a sudden, would he care about US when he is ‘world leader’?
Hey-shouldn’t he be worrying and working to lift US out of the financial quagmire he imposed on US? What about those 4,000+ ‘folks’ living in tents outside of Sacramento? No homes?
Hey what does it matter..he’s living his father’s legacy at our expense-all the while jetting to NYC for $500,000. to take Michele to the theatre! Hey..don’t you want the ‘world leader’ to spend your tax money that way?
Don’t forget his auntie..still living in HUD housing illegally in Boston-a bona fide welfare cheat!

Thank-you RRRA for the factual reporting of this tragic incident.

You rightfully put the outrage for the failure of the WH to respond in a timely manner where in belongs – Squarely in Obama’s lap.

I do believe timing played a very important role in this. Obama couldn’t speak out before his trip and, yes, there was no reference to what ideology fueled the shooting of two military members on American soil.

I pray that investigative journalists stay on it on ALL fronts.

    *The missing Obama documents
*The stand down on black muslim investigations
*Who is actually pulling Obama’s strings.
    *Where exactly Obama’s allegiance lies.

    • ConfusedAmerican

      I pray that prayer nightly.

  • Carlyinnj

Thank you again RRR Amy for this excellent post.

By the way, Obama has claimed that our country has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world.

Perhaps this is PBHO’s GREAT PLAN, by the time he is finished with the USA, we will BE a Muslim Country and he, Barack Hussein Obama will be the DEAR LEADER of the WORLD.

Furthermore, how sad and telling that it took PBHO so long to bring himself to acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice of Private Long who died because of his willingness to serve our Country.

PBHO finds it more important to bow to and kiss the ring of the Saudi King. Why should he, BHO concern himself about the death of this young soldier when he is busy visiting the birthplace of Islam and receiving a golden necklace from the Saudi King?

It is a sad day for our Country that we have such a fraud in the Whitehouse. Wake-Up America, the 2010 Elections are just over the horizon!

    Hillaryin2012!!

Obama has not made a comment about the soldiers yet because if he does, it gives the situation legitimacy. Meaning there has been a terrorist strike within the United States under his watch. GET IT? I have been awaiting the outrage from citizens, but I fear I may be waiting a long time. Hope/Change Mans Brand will fall apart soon. His style of attitude branding is unsustainable. A brand without a product? How does that work? Over the next 6-10 months notice the honeymoon begin to fail. Seems Mr Hope/Change doesn’t realize the statements he makes in the first 12 months reflect back to the prior 12. Berth Cert will happen , just a matter of when.

    • Chicago Joe

      He made it today.

President Barack Obama said in a statement Thursday that he was “deeply saddened” by the shootings and that the two soldiers were working to “strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe.”

But he made sure he gave his speech first and avoided all relevant references.

  • Docelder

    A brand without a product?

Good analogy. But the stupid part of all this is in his case the brand was the product.

    • John

Lets see what happens when the wind changes direction…

      • Docelder

Yep, I am with you. A brand should start with a good product. Because otherwise the money spent branding it is wasted. In this case though, I can’t see that there was ever a product in there, let alone a good one. I guess that is one billion worth of branding dollars wasted. ;)

R3A, tears, again. Given the well publicized tensions between the military and BO – does anyone not know that more than a 100 military signed onto whatever legal action Orly Taitz undertakes to ascertain whether BO is a NBC – I assume that BO’s advisers proposed he should make a statement before this time, and that he had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into compliance. I wish there was some way to inform the families of Privates Ezeagwula and Long, who were shot, we are so very very sorry for their pain.

    Rest in peace, Private Long.

  • MessyMarcy

I tried to post this over at your blog, RRRA, but, being technologically challenged, could not get past your gatekeeper. So here it is; sorry it’s so long.

The more that comes out about this, the scarier and sadder it gets. From interviews shown on local television, this is a tragic intersection of the lives of three young men. The two who were shot had just finished basic training and were in Little Rock just for a couple of weeks to do the hometown recruiting thing, which apparently means they were the best and brightest of their class. The one who was killed was from a military family that had retired to Arkansas for the peace and quiet. His mother was waiting for him in her car on the parking lot so she could give him a ride home. The one who was wounded had recently told his high school coach he was looking forward to being in the military and intended to do something good with his life. The one who did the shooting was apparently from a good family and was described by neighbors as a good boy. The neighborhood seemed to be a reasonably affluent mixed race neighborhood and neighbors expressed shock that he would do this. You have to wonder where he went wrong and who or what influences caused him to turn into such a creature of hate that he would shoot down in cold blood two young men who had never even met him, much less done something to him, just two young men in uniform outside having a smoke.

And now we learn that among other targets on his computer was a child care center. And that had more people been outside, he would have tried to kill them too. How much hate is inside a person that they can do something like this, and in such a cowardly manner?

    • bybabyby1234

my advise to all, start paying attention to what is going around US here in USA!!!

  • Jennifer

My son is in Basic Training right now, when I read this story I cried for this family and this young man. I was in complete surprise that most of the networks did not cover this. As my son progresses through BCT I receive letters home about how they are growing into soldiers. I see the commitment that these young men and women have to protect America and the freedom that we take so casually. All of them willing to die for their country to keep us safe, any one of them would put the lives on the line for us in any given situation. They learn that the Commander in Chief is the highest point in their chain of command, that he can so lightly brush this death off is totally unacceptable. Private Long’s time as a soldier was indeed short, tragically short, but that young man’s family deserves more than the simple statement that the POTUS provided.

So since Obama can not find the right words here are mine.

To the family and relatives of Private William Long and Quinton Ezeagwula. I and the American people are shocked and outraged by this senseless act of violence against our brave young soldiers, young men that are doing there part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. This act of terrorism needs to be addressed immediately so that Americans can feel safe in there own neighborhoods on the land we so love. We as a country need to find out why are young people are converting to Muslim terrorism and wanting to harm other Americans. We need to stop this from ever occurring again, it is our job to make sure that the death of Private William Long is not for naught. However profound our differences are as Americans we need to unite as a nation and stop terrorism at all levels. Heinous acts of violence should not be tolerated as a way to resolve issues.

    • ConfusedAmerican

From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your sentiments. I also thank your son for deciding to serve our country to keep it free.

I wish that You attack Cheney and ex Presidend and Their ex.Government, for what they did to OUR Country. I do not see as so much anger as You have toward Pr.Obama. I am not defending Pr.Obama, but You are so unfair and seems that occupation in Iraq is ok and thousand od dead innocent Iraqis is OK to. Maybe someone explain, why we went to Iraq in first place and left Afganistan behind. Why OUR economy is so bad and millions of people lost their jobs, why health care is so expensive, why 47 millions opf Americans dont have insurance??? Is this Mr. Obama to be blame. Baloney!!!

  • bybabyby1234

At list Mr.Cheney admited His mistakes ,not realy but He did say ,at list. Now even gays are OK and should have same rights. Nothing from Mr.Bush, to bad.
