I did the reply to on the email I got, as well, but instantly got an Out of Office message reply saying they had shut down that email address. I figured they had gotten a mailbox full of complaints after the endorsement.

I thought they couldn’t share email address lists unless they had provided an opt in option to everyone. I don’t remember having to register to the DNC site in order to email them, which seems like they violated something in the privacy laws if they shared our addresses. Especially if it was a bribe or enticement to get his endorsement.

it was the race where there were only 543 or so votes difference between them. they counted it the first time but it was within the margin for an automatic revote, then they counted again and christine was ahead, but rossi did not like that, so they counted again and christine was still ahead. at that point rossi would have had to put his own money into a recount, so he did not and christine won.

i live in va now, but lived in wa the rest of my life, so i was there when this happened.

it is one of those cases where you realize that with a 543 vote difference your vote really does matter…

but mostly i could not stand rossi… he was this business guy who refused to talk about issues other than the 3 his team chose to talk about so the debate was really bad for him. christine was obviously the better leader because she was willing to talk about all issues like a governor should. a governor cannot just deal with 3 topics in order to run a state. so he was a huge joke in my book cause he would have made a horrible governor.

so they are running him again since he got so close to gregoire that time, although now that she is the incumbent and has done so much good there and responded quickly to all problems, people will stick with her this time.

although i myself if i was there, would actually have a huge problem voting for her since she has now endorsed obama… but in the long run in that case all the good she has done and how much i can’t stand arrogant rossi, i would still vote for her, although i would write her a note saying i have loved everything you have done for the state, but cannot figure out for the life of me why you would endorse obama a rossi clone….

All of it is so opportunistic that if you saw nothing else this whole campaign, all you needed to see was that. Surely, Edwards had been in Obama’s bag for a long time but they didn’t feel they needed him until the other day. So my response to that is that is that they were far more spooked by West Virginia than anyone let on. And I mean spooked.
