Wright Alert

At the Trinity UCOC homepage, saw a list of various functions and staff. I happened to click on “Pastor” and much to my chagrin, Jermiah Wright is still listed as the Pastor, glowing credentials included, in contradiction to all protestations that he is retired.

My curiosity piqued, I clicked on “Pastoral Staff” and to my amazement, this is what I found.

Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ

Rev. Otis Moss, III currently serves as Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, UNDER THE LEADERSHIP of Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.

So clearly, it is Wright who dictates policy. Guess what that might be.

Wonder if anyone would dare bring this to Obama’s attention and ask if he would quit knowing who it is that still runs the show?

Hey guys, I’m coming in late. But I read a bunch of the comments here and I’m just wondering:

the talk about “putting on armor and not crossing the line”– do you think that could be about the
tape of Michelle Obama? And Rev. Wright showing up and it sounds like from the comments- not speaking himself- could he be there as a threat figure?

I remember him showing up at Maya Angelou’s birthday and I thought that was utterly classless and probably meant as a form of intimidation directed at her.

So do you think they are giving the congregation the treatment so no one there will leak the tape?

500,000 (one mil minus rough tax) could buy a little condo and the beginning of an IRA in Florida. Pretty tempting.

What is sad is that you blindly follow someone who even claims to “embrace his church and his churchs community” so what is wrong with checking out from an open site of the church your hopes of a POTUS embraces?

Is it because insight might prove something about your candidates convictions?

Is it because you condone a faith that he holds true to his being, even after he conveniently denounced his “Uncle” for political survival?

Or is it simply that you do not care for more truths about your chosen candidate to be exposed?

What is SAD is that you blindly follow someone whom you can’t even provide a foundation for following because your blinded by having your head so far up your ass you can’t see or hear the truth because it can’t slap you in the face unless you get a swift kick in the ass to do it!
