Obama Is Too Old and Confused to be President

sultanknish.jpgBY SULTAN KNISH (photo left)

McCain is too Old and Confused to be President. That’s the message that Obama supporters are trying to put out and they have a point. After all McCain is clearly old. McCain is an aged 71 while Obama is a spring chicken at the tender age of 46.

Unlike McCain, Obama is unconfused and on the ball all the time.

For example Obama knows that there are 57 states in the Union and he’s visited every one of them. Particularly Mars.

Obama knows that 10,000 people died in a Kansas tornado that killed only 10 people. Clearly math was never his strong subject.

obama.jpgAt Selma, Obama informed us that his parents met four years after he was born and that his Kenyan diplomat father had a flag draped coffin.

He knows that Canada’s Prime Minister is actually a President

Obama knows they speak Arabic in Afghanistan and that there are poppy fields in Iraq

Obama knows that Matt Lauer is really Tim Russert

Obama had no idea whatsoever that his home church and the reverend with whom he had a 20 year relationship was a crazy america hating racist.

Hell Obama couldn’t even figure out how to use the voting buttons in the Illinois State Senate

Barack Obama angered fellow Democrats in the Illinois Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago’s West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed.

“I was not aware that I had voted no,” he said that day in June 2002, asking that the record be changed to reflect that he “intended to vote yes.”

On March 19, 1997, he announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6: “I was trying to vote yes on this, and I was recorded as a no,” he said. The next day, he acknowledged voting “present” on a key telecommunications vote.

He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. “I pressed the wrong button on that,” he said.

Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. “I pressed the wrong button by accident,” he said.

On Nov. 14, 1997, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside. Moments after its passage he rose to say, “I’d like to be recorded as a no vote,” explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.

Maybe Obama was just tired all these years and needed a nap. Let’s just hope he manages to figure out how the nuclear button and the intercom button works before he blows up the planet while trying to order some Spanish ham.

But don’t worry, when Obama’s campaign makes a mistake, it’s always his staffers who are at fault.

After the Politico raised questions about questionnaire Obama filled out in 1996, Obama supporter Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wa., took to Tucker Carlson’s MSNBC Show to say, “He didn’t fill it out and he did not support those positions then . . . That was a questionnaire filled out in his first state Senate campaign back in 1996 not by Senator Obama but by somebody on his staff that didn’t get it cleared.”

Well that sort of thing can happen once or twice, right? Or over and over again. But what can you expect from a guy who doesn’t even know what letters he’s writing or for whom?

In a March 2008 interview with the Chicago Sun-Times to answer questions about Tony Rezko, Obama was asked about the fact that Obama had told the newspaper in November 2006 that he had never been asked to do anything to advance Rezko’s business interests. But the Sun-Times had subsequently learned about a October 28, 1998 letter Obama wrote to city and state housing officials on behalf of a housing project for seniors that Rezko was working on.

Responded Obama: “I wasn’t even aware that we wrote the letter. The answer that I gave at the time was accurate as far as I knew…This was one of many form letters, or letters of recommendation we would send out constantly for all sorts of projects. And my understanding is that our letter was just one of many. And I wasn’t a decision maker in any of this process.”

Who does the buck stop with? Not with Barack Obama who barely even knows when he’s writing a letter in support of building a senior center on a toxic chemical spill waste site for the guy closely tied to his law firm who raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for him. I mean whatdaya expect anyway? He’s not a decision maker.

But with all of Obama’s confusion and his ignorance of how many states there are and his constant inability to keep his staff from fooling him, maybe Obama is just too old and confused to be President.

At 46 isn’t it time for Barack Obama who has had a dignified record of pressing the wrong buttons in the Illinois Senate and a hundred days or so in the US Senate voting Present on many major issues, to be put out to pasture and retire so he can finally enjoy the good life?

Far be it from me to mock Obama’s premature senility but it would seem that his age and mental confusion makes the Presidency a too high pressure job for someone with his fragile memory and awareness.

Instead maybe it’s time for the Democratic party to let in some fresh new blood such as 32 year old Rep. Patrick McHenry from North Carolina or 21 year old superdelegate Jason Rae. They clearly have the fresh ideas and the experience garnered from years of videogaming to figure out which buttons to press to vote on crucial issues.

If younger is better, than we can certainly do better than Obama. It’s time for new ideas and less confusion. It’s time for Obama to take his nap and make way for the younger generation. The fact is he’s clearly too old and confused to be President anyway.

Well early onset Alzheimer disease does exist. A friend started showing symptoms at about Obama’s age.

Either that or Obama has Ray-Gun’s disease.

    • Gregoryp

I was going to suggest that maybe Obama ought to get tested for this. After all he has children and they would be at risk if it has a genetic component. Of course, there are other things that can cause these symptoms as well. Could be as simple as not getting the proper nutrition. What is clear is that we don’t need another idiot for a president no matter the reason. Been there, done that. Let’s not do it again.

      • http://www.hillaryclinton.com President Hillary Clinton will defeat Obama and his troll army!

He admitted drug use in his past. Do you think it is possible he is still a user? That could explain some of his behavior.

        • http://www.musicbyday.com Musical Notes

I wouldn’t care if he was still using drugs. Stuff like this has no influence on people who vote on the issues. This is all gutter politics. We’ve had enough of this kind of stuff from Karl Rove. Thinking Americans now vote on the issues and will vote for Barack Obama over John McCain this fall!

I wouldn’t care if he was still using drugs.

I would think he would lose his security clearance if he was using drugs. I assume he has one as a Senator.

But I was asking the question since it might explain the behavior we are seeing. And he did admit drug use in his past in case you forgot.

As to your “Thinking Americans” they are not pod people like yourself and they will never vote for Obama knowing what we know about him.

            • John

tells you all you need to know about Obama supporters, doesn’t it? Musical Notes doesn’t care if Obama is using drugs. Probably doesn’t care if Obama is a racist, or a closet muslim, or a friend of domestic terrorists, or a bag man for the nuke industry.

All Musical Notes cares about is that it’s Barack Obama. That’s the issue. He’s the Chosen One. Vote for him, or you are a Rovian fool. Because we must care about The Issues- you know, the ones Obama slides past while making those Amazing Speeches.

What is wrong with you people? Do you not understand the awesome power and responsibility of the Presidency of the USA? The fact that Obama admitted to using drugs should automatically disqualify him for the office for a probably a million reasons. I’ll list:
            A. Bad judgment
            B. Possible brain damage
            C. Weakness of character
            D. Addictive personality
            E. Bad role model
            F. Drugs are illegal/ President is chief law enforcement official in land
            G. Possibility of relapse
            H. Possibility of physiological damage to heart, other organs or organ systems
            I. Unable to gauge consequences of actions aka A.
            J. Blackmail possibilities ie national security risk
            K. Heightened increase of scandalous activities
            L. Has a different set values than most of us (non normative value system)
            M. Anyone who does drugs is an idiot
            N. No remorse or treatment for actions means sociopathic and narcissistic behavior
            O. Did I mention that drugs were illegal in all 50 states? People go to prison for what Obama has admitted to doing.

            • http://hillaryorbust.blogspot.com Hillary or Bust

I don’t have a problem with people who have tried drugs as part of experimentation here and there. I also have great respect for anyone who has kicked an addiction and has totally turned their lives around because of a personal spiritual transformation.

People who *currently* use drugs regularly are bad news, however. And I do not support regular drug use. But of all the reasons as to why Obama is unfit to be president, anti-drug hysteria beside the point.

(Bush did cocaine, apparently, Clinton didn’t inhale, etc.)

And no, I’m not an Obama fan. But this drug hysteria is a bit overblown. Don’t get me wrong – I think consistent drug use is very ill-advised, but so is consistent drinking in my book, and drinking is legal.

              • John

“I don’t have a problem with people who have tried drugs as part of experimentation here and there. I also have great respect for anyone who has kicked an addiction and has totally turned their lives around because of a personal spiritual transformation.

But wait! By your logic, any drug user is just a guy who hasn’t yet quit, and the moment he does, he’s earned your “great respect”- so why do you have a problem with them?

They are just people you are going to have “great respect for” in the future, after all!

Your post reminded me of a High School graduation ceremony I went to some years back. A girl was giving a speech about overcoming obstacles- she was selected to give the speech because she had been a drug user her freshman year, gotten pregnant, dropped out of school- and then had given up her kid for adoption, gotten tutoring, and returned to school, and here she was, getting her diploma. A Real Story of Courage We Should All Admire.

Except, here she was being celebrated for basically fucking up. Listening to her in the audience were hundreds of kids who had NOT fucked up, but had made the RIGHT decisions all along. Who wanted to hear from them? Losers. They should have been total screw-ups first. Then maybe they could have been up there, giving a speech.

I also have great respect for anyone who has kicked an addiction and has totally turned their lives around because of a personal spiritual transformation.

But it disqualifies him from office, as addiction is a lifelong disease. The risk, under stress (which any president will face) of relapse, is also incredibly high.

Simply can’t take chances of having a Nero as president, either.

          • kenoshaMarge

“Thinking Americans” as well as “well-informed Americans” could never support a candidate like Obama. A campaign based on hope and change and tells us little of substance. Perhaps because there is little of substance in the candidate?

His ability to “inspire” is truly phenomenal. Especially since there is so little that is inspirational and so much that is just Madison Avenue. But we all knew you could fool some of the people all of the time and that would be the Obama supporters.

Thinking Americans also don’t allow someone else to tell them how to vote and who to vote vote. We’re funny that way.

A thinking American, that really wanted to help their candidate wouldn’t be annoying the people at another candidates Blog.

(Didn’t you get the memo meathead, Obama says you are supposed to be “nice” to Hillary supporters. That he had to tell you that and that you still insist on annoying Hillary supporters with your crap says a lot about both him and you.)

Thinking Americans? That would not be you.

        • Gregoryp

I don’t think he is a current user and I believe he overstated if not outright lied in his autobiography about his drug use. I think he is so used to playing up to stereotypes that he thought it would help him curry up to the AA community that comprises up his constituency in Illinois. Unfortunately if he did use those drugs the long term effects are not entirely clear. Some people can habitually use these things and seemingly suffer no consequences while other people can use something once with devestating life consequences.

          • Hope

            Gregory
Show us the medical studies reporting that people can habitually use drugs without suffering consequences?

Do you mean to say that people addicted to such as heroin or meth suffer no physical consequences?

I want to see ONE study that supports your statement.

            • Gregoryp

Actually, I wasn’t trying to imply that at all. I believe if you use either of those substances just once then you will be changed forever. I was thinking more along the lines of cocaine which can kill some people after using it once. But you are right, once a person becomes dependent on a drug their brain is changed forever. I also wasn’t thinking of any studies but some of my family members own battles with drugs several of whom are in prison as I type this. For what it is worth I did take toxicology as a biology grad student but I am certainly not current on it as I am not interested in the subject.

        • Margaret

Heck, that could explain ALL of his behavior. Along with addiction comes delusions of grandeur and extraordinary narcissim. This is true whether the addict is currently using or not.

The trolls like their master Obama consistently apply a double standard. They decry racism and are the racists themselves: calling Bill Clinton a racist when he is not a racist makes the trolls and Obama the actual racists. They are ageist against McCain and discrimination is discrimination, you can’t pick and chose what is acceptable to discriminate against. They are sexist against Hillary and her female supporters. Obama and his trolls are despicable human beings and should not be surprised we have been working our asses off to defeat them. And we will defeat every single one of them.

    • Gregoryp

I’ve always lived by the creed that anybody can be discriminated against at any time. All it takes is the right set of circumstances. As a people we should never accept it in any form because of the sheer insidiousness discrimination represents. And we should never, ever tolerate discrimination just to prop up ourselves which is exactly what the DNC, Obama and the media have done here. Getting people to support you through engendering hate is one of the oldest, sickest and vilest forms of politics ever practiced. It diminishes all of us greatly.

      • http://www.hillaryclinton.com President Hillary Clinton will defeat Obama and his troll army!

Agreed. In the last century we had vast genocide from exactly that type of behavior. People need to wake up. This might be the most important reason we have to stop Obama. We just can’t afford to go that route in America. It is dangerous slippery slope.

I know I’m a real Democrat because I’ve voted straight Democrat for over 30 years. I’ve earned that bragging right.

However, I have completely changed my thinking as the result of this race. I now believe I was a bit lazy in researching, I dismissed some very fine people because of partisanship, and I’m starting to be comfortable with my new-found Independent status.

Everyone has a chance with me these days, and it will all depend on the person’s proven record, history, etc.

I do admit that I think I’m in a much better position to be a responsible Democrat than I would have been in earlier years. I know just enough, at least, to not get caught up in the silly crap.

But the important stuff is really important. And what’s important is a result of judgment based on experience in being a voter.

Best way to vote. Most qualified; best values; most innovative, etc. etc..

But Independent voting requires research, and the ability to read past partisan talking points (each side wants his/her candidate to look good, even if they stink like high hell).

I get a kick of mixed ticket voting. Get literature from both parties, despite I’m not a member of any. ;)

“Democrat: One who believes in social equality or discounts distinctions in rank”

Therefore anyone who accepts distinctions of rank (e.g. “Those undereducated hicks shouldn’t count”) is not a real Democrat. Now which side does this remind you of? Obamabots are neolibs, not democrats!

  • greg

How many of these statements will appear in Republican ads if Obama gets the appointed the Democratic nominee? How will Obama defend this record against the Republican onslaught? My guess is that he will plead “please stop – this is what is wrong with America and this is why people hate politics – this is old style politics of personal destruction, etc.” We need Hope and Change and blah, blah. Can he sell hope and change with this record? Hello McGovern.

Hey, I’m doing some research into an article and was hoping some of you could help me. This is about the group Clinton Supporters Count Too, out of Columbus, OH. The one led by Cynthia Ruccia and Jamie Dixey. I need to verify some things they’ve said online. Here are my questions:

    - Is Cynthia dot48?

    - Is Jamie curiosityhasme?

Oh, and is Cynthia still a ward leader in Bexley?

I’m going to be quoting them based on postings here and at taylormarsh and, of course, hillaryis44, and I just want to make sure I have my facts triple verified before we go to press.

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

    • http://www.hillaryclinton.com President Hillary Clinton will defeat Obama and his troll army!

You should contact them directly before quoting them I would think, to verify those quotes actually were posted by them.

    • http://1950democrat.livejournal.com 1950democrat

      doreena,

      NOT SO FAST!

Bravo for Cynthia and Jamie, but they aren’t dot48 or curiosity or any of the regular posters at hillaryis44 or at taylormarsh! If they were, they’d be talking about their project there.

H44 has put up a page giving CSCT appearences, so H44 is supporting them (as are most of us posters). We’d love to have them posting at H44.

CSCT doesn’t seem to have any web presence yet. If it were any of us, we’d have had a website up and been promoting it long ago.

There’s discussion of the idea at clintondems.com, particularly a related project “Payable to Hillary OR McCain.” To show DNC now, before it’s too late, that we are serious about defecting, we’re going to write donation checks with Payee: Hillary Clinton Campaign OR John McCain Campaign and send the checks to various reliable people to count and hold till the nomination is decided. Then if Hillary is the nominee, the checks will be mailed to her; otherwise they will be mailed to McCain.

For more about related projects, see http://www.ironmyvote.com/neverobama.htm

I saw Ruccia (sp) on Fox News with, I believe, the other woman to whom you are referring.

I would think you could Google them, or perhaps go to Fox News site and see if you can’t track them down there.

      • Doreena

No, the other woman wasn’t Ms. Dixey (I don’t think she’s made any televised appearances like Ruccia). As it turns out, I got my final confirmation and contact information (yes, those are their handles, so they are at H44!), so I’m all set, thanks! And I’ll check out http://www.ironmyvote.com/neverobama.htm to see if there’s something realted to this or future stories. Good luck!

Obama is going to blow a gasket between now and the convention with millions of democrats (“racists” and “republicans” according to the trolls) telling the nation they will never vote for him. He’s lost the base of the party and there is no way he will ever get it back. Never. Nominating him is now political suicide and everyone but the pod people know this.

    WHY do you support obama?
Is it his over 20 major pro war votes?
Is it his more than five votes for major attacks on our rights & freedoms?
Did the ONE time he voted against war (when him AND hillary both waited untill enough votes were in to pass before they voted against-if it had been two votes short they BOTH would’ve voted for it) delude you into thinking he was for peace?
Is the FACT that he wants to escalate the war of aggression inAfghanistan, start a new one in Pakistan, and was also war mongering with hilliary against Iran on a retorical question based on a LIE.
Was it when he voted AGAINST bringing our troops home?
Was it when obama voted for the bills that gave Blackwater the funding they needed to shoot the people of New Orleans who were only trying to save their own lives.
Was it when He voted to allow Michael Chetoff to waive all laws, including murder, torture and kidnapping?
Was it when obama supported The Real ID Act, which would allow Michael Cheftoff to declare martial law and imprison all Americans?

Here is my letter to Colmes:

      Dear Mr. Colmes,

I am a supporter of Senator Clinton. I will vote for John McCain if Barack Obama is the Democrat’s nominee.

I am a post-graduate educated woman, in my mid-forties. I voted for Jesse Jackson twice. In 26 years of voting, I have always voted Democrat.

Barack Obama is deceptive and divisive. He is intentionally vacuous. Senator Obama has demonstrated a pattern of using generalizations and stereotypes to characterize and demean groups of Americans, i.e., “typical white person”, “bitter” working class, calling women “sweetie”. He feigns innocence as his surrogates and supporters use the “blogosphere” to disseminate massive amounts of misinformation, including vile and malicious attacks and accusations of racism directed at Clinton and her supporters.

Obama has made a career of campaigning and getting elected by any means necessary. This includes his current strategy of disenfranchising the voters of Michigan and Florida in order to maintain his frontrunner position. He has never served in any significant capacity, instead using his elected offices to position himself for the next run. His health care “plan” falls far short of progressive ideals (i.e., universal health care). His position statements are simplistic.

Barack Obama and his campaign have mastered the language of “feeling good”. He utilizes rhetoric to inspire strong, visceral emotional responses which, ultimately, dull and distort the capacity for critical thinking and judgement. His own capacity for judgement is grounded in political expedience, as he has a history of forming opportunistic alliances with questionable individuals (Wright, Ayers, Rezko).

Finally, as a life-long Democrat, I have come to the realization that the DNC no longer represents me and my interests. The DNC has stood by in silence as Clinton has been degraded and insulted by the media, by Obama and by his supporters. They have supported the suppression of votes in Michigan and Florida.

I disagree with many of John McCain’s positions, yet view him as more of a “known quantity”. Rather than projecting my personal ideals and aspirations for our nation onto the vacuum that is Obama, I will vote for McCain.

I sent Colmes the following email:

I hear you’ve asked to know who will vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. I will! I’m a 43 year old white liberal attorney living in the liberal land of Massachusetts, and I will proudly pull the lever for McCain if Obama is the nominee.

Why? I should think that would be quite obvious. Though I did drink a bit when I was young, I still have all my brain cells. I’d like a President who loves America. Loving God (instead of loving black supremacy) wouldn’t hurt either. Loving Americans (instead of treating them with contempt) would be good, too. A President who has friends who don’t like to blow up things is also a bonus, makes me feel safer.

I can best sum it up by saying Obama is a dangerous fringe lunatic who shouldn’t even be allowed to tour the oval office, never mind reside there. All these Obama supporters make me think of the movie The Matrix, they think they’re in nirvana but they’re actually in a nightmare. When you point out to them that they’re ‘plugged in’ they scream “Racist!”. Well, they can wake up now, or they can wake up in November, because Obama will never, but never, be President.

I will not only vote for McCain, I will campaign for him and send him money. This is not a hissy fit that I won’t follow through on, this is a commitment to my country, that I love, that I will not stand by and do nothing while some crazy is trying to get his finger on the button.

Bear in mind, people actually voted for Hitler. People actually stood by apathetically while Hitler stole the election. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. So, I’m going to do, something!

And I hope you will, too. I know Republicans want to wait until October to crush Obama’s campaign, but is it really worth the risk to wait until then? Wouldn’t Republicans rather risk a Hillary presidency, than risk an Obama ‘presidency’ that would destroy everything we all hold dear?

Now is the time for all people who love America to speak out. We are beyond partisanship, all of us who love America must stand together.

May 19, 2008: Clinton-Obama Grudges Linger For Some Voters, Washington Post, Interviews Clinton Voters Who Hate Obama

    ——————————————————————————–

Interesting article which actually talks to more Clinton voters than Obama voters (only one Obama supporter is quoted) and gives some perfect examples of how many of us feel.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn…opnews&sub=new

    Quote:
Lifelong Democrat Kathleen Cowley watches with disdain as huge crowds hang on Sen. Barack Obama’s every word. She dismisses Obama’s “intolerable logic.” She turns the channel on pundits who chalk up Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s primary victories to little more than racism. And she doesn’t much care for the notion that while Obama is fresh and inspiring, Clinton is, by implication, old and mean.

“There’s just been an attitude that if you aren’t voting for Barack Obama, then you’re a racist,” said Cowley, 49, a mother of four from Massachusetts who has vowed to never back the senator from Illinois. “I just find that intolerable. I feel like when the members of the media talk about how [Obama's supporters] would react, they say, ‘Well, we can’t take the vote away from African Americans.’ Well, excuse me, there’s a higher percentage of women.”

    Quote:
Some women, like Cowley, complain that Clinton has been disrespected and mistreated by the media and the political establishment. Many see Obama as equally condescending, dismissing Clinton’s foreign policy role as first lady, pulling out her chair for her at debates and suggesting offhand during one debate that she was “likable enough.”

“The sexist crap that comes out of people’s mouths is really scary to me,” said Amilyn Lanning, 38, a Zionsville, Pa., voter who supported Clinton in last month’s primary. “There’s a lot of the b-word being thrown about, even in jest by comedians. There’s a lot of comments made about her pantsuits, and the way she dresses. There’s a viciousness.”

    Quote:
And many among the legions of young voters who have flocked to Obama say their enthusiasm is more about him than about the Democratic Party

    Quote:
To Veronica Tonay, 48, a psychology professor at the University of California at Santa Cruz and a Clinton supporter, Obama has become a pop star, the contestant on “American Idol” who wins votes because he’s cute, while the best singer is eliminated.

“We are electing the leader of the free world, and that person has a finger on the nuclear launch code,” she said. “It’s not about likability.” Her stance was cemented when a young woman in one of her classes declared that she wouldn’t vote for Clinton because “she is not a beautiful woman.”

If Obama is the nominee, Tonay said, McCain will be just fine with her. “In the end, I won’t vote for Obama because I don’t know who he is, and I don’t trust him,” she said. “If McCain gets in, he would have a weak presidency, and we would have a Democratic Congress anyway. Obama could do more damage.”

    Quote:
There may not be enough time to win over Cowley, who calls Clinton “brilliant” and has spent two hours a day for the last three months calling voters to talk about Clinton’s health-care plan, her experience and her plan to end the war in Iraq.

“In my heart I just can’t bring myself to [vote for Obama], and I feel like a schlep,” she said. “I’m not going to be voting for him, and it irritates me. Nobody’s concerned about the women. I don’t think I can vote for McCain. I guess I’ll have to sit it out.”

    • Nicole

Great quotes, but I can’t believe a WP writer would make this grammatical error:

“Some women, like Cowley, complain that Clinton has been disrespected…”

“…has been isrespected…!” Good lord: “disrespect” is a noun, not a transitive verb. It wasn’t even a direct quote from one of the women interviewed…there’s no excuse for that.

      • Nicole

        Should read “…has been disrespected…!”.

      • Hope

        Nicole,
I understand what you mean but it is colloquial. Sounds horrible though.

        • Nicole

          Hi Hope,

Yes, you’re right, but colloquialisms are only okay when spoken, or if a direct quote when written…. It’s shoddy writing/editing.

    • miriam

This is a classic:”…a young woman in one of her classes declared that she wouldn’t vote for Clinton because “she is not a beautiful woman.”

Dumbfounding, isn’t it. (Especially since Obama is not a beautiful woman either).

  • Hope

Would someone please tell me why Obama must pick his nose whenever he speaks? I know this sounds very trivial, but I find it rather tawdry. Is this code behavior for unspeakable utterances that would not be widely acceptable to the general American public? Is this a salute of sorts or more like a behavioral oddity like molesting one’s scrotum in public when one thinks others are not looking?

Barack is a divisive politician, to an extreme

Quotes From OBAMA’S “DREAMS OF MY FATHER” Demonstrates why WRIGHT is his PASTOR!

“I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was integrating myself to whites,”

“I found solace in a sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race,”

“The other race (White) would always remain just that: Menacing, Alien and Apart,”

“It was into my father’s image, the Black man, the son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself,”

“That hate hadn’t gone away, blaming white people,”

“The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam.”

“In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school”
    “I studied the Koran..”

“THAT HATE HADN’T GONE AWAY,” he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE,- SOME CRUEL, SOME IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”
“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote.

“It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, and name names”

“I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES..”

The Audacity of Hope (title inspired from his anti-American racist mentor Wright)

“Lolo (Obama’s step father) followed a brand of Islam ….”I looked to Lolo for guidance”.

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

“My grand mother was a typical white person.”

    • Hope

Thank you! Now why is this so HARD for the ObamaPods to figure out? He’s TELLING us right there how is thinks, how he feels, how he views the world around him. This is not healthy.

    • http://deleted AnninCA

I agree. I really am not all that over-sensitive about sexism PC-incorrect stuff. Now, his attitude at the debate where he said, “You’re likeable enough, Hillary,” made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. THAT one, I reacted.

But I’ve watched this race with a certain degree of dislike for the gender discussions. I think mostly it’s because I’ve been a Hillary fan for years and absolutely knew that stuff wouldn’t bug her in the least, except if it started to give her real political trouble. Sure enough. When it did, she took care of it.

However, when I saw the ageism start to hit, then I read the sexism writings with a bit more of an open mind. To me? It’s all divisive and damaging. Whether it’s racism, ageism, sexism, gay bashing…it all sets us apart. I don’t like it.

I really was confused to see so-called progressives gleefully rolling in this muck. I guess I didn’t understand what they were really all about: Power.

I understood and understand when I see conservative Democrats doing it. Hey, I grew up in the South. I get cultural conservativism.

But your regular ole run-of-the-mill-socially liberal like me really hates ageism as much as sexism. Not that I’m a saint! Older people can be annoying.

      So can stupid people.

BUT…..we don’t get anywhere by focusing on that stuff.

We’ve survived Bushisms. When Bush does make a clever move or statement, he startles me. LOL* I rather enjoy watching him actually hit the sweet spot once in a great while probably because he does it so rarely.

Obama’s reputation for being an “intellectual” while also being stupid irritates the crap out of me.

It’s phony intellectualism. It’s talking in abstract terms in passive voice that ensures no one except a translater can follow. When you have nothing to say, be sure to be obscure!

I hate that crap. If you have nothing to say, then shut up.

      • mahaska

what proof is there that he is an intellectual. He seems a little dim to me.

      • so saddened

damn fool thinks because he’s a lawyer he’s smart. as a lawyer myself, i’ve been around a lot of lawyers. and a lot of lawyers are stupid.

        • Kathy

This is true. I worked for lawyers for years. The brightest had no common sense. They would forget to zip their flys and couldn’t find their keys. Most were book smart but not street smart.

    • mahaska

      he’s a professsional victim.

      • mahaska

        oops. too many sss’s

      • http://deleted AnninCA

so true……that’s his one outstanding theme that I cringe over. I really don’t mind a bit of awareness, but when he shook his finger at the Dem. from Hawaii because he DARED to tell the truth, which was Obama went to a private excusive school there and hard is “one of the people,” I just took a strong dislike to his shaming everyone.

The race card I could swallow. This is politics, after all.

But when he pulled it on minor characters in this play?

That’s a sign that his victim thinking goes right down to his core.

    This is interesting!!!

In a statement released today, Iranian President Ahmandinijad told a captive audience in Tehran his support is fully behind Senator Barack Obama, (D-Ill) in the race for the Presidency of the United States.

The following is a rough translation. “It is not often the so called leader of the free world can be elected who is more than willing to legitimize a regime such as mine, but I’m convinced Obama will do it. His pledge to unconditionally sit down for face to face negotiations with me will give me world-wide credibility. I’m particularly impressed with his ability to convince the naive American public he can sit through 20 years of anti-Zionist teachings, yet continually spout his support for Israel; I must remember, however, the teachings of Mohammed who said lying to the Kufir is perfectly acceptable. 80% of the worlds muslims are for Obama, an overwhelming number the American voter simply can’t dismiss. They will view it in the most negative terms if he doesn’t win. Iran and indeed the world need Obama as President.”

“I don’t like McCain or the woman. I don’t think they can be seduced with easy language or easy promises. Obama is who I want. It would be much easier to get away with our “peaceful” nuclear program with him in charge.”

Is this for real? I wouldn’t know how to evaluate it.

I think it is a fake LOL.

  • street_parade

BO is sooo tired all of the time. I think his main problem is he’s just too lazy to do his homework…he can’t be bothered. Everything has always been handed to him all of his life and the Presidency is just another thing to which he is entitled. Yep, he’s the sort-of black, Democratic long lost brother of Dubya himself.

    • apishapa

Well, I’m getting old and my memory isn’t what it used to be, but didn’t Obama tell the same stupid little story to the same peopel twice in about 10 minutes in Indiana? Also, didn’t he forget what town and state he was in more than once?

Tell me one time Hillary has done that. SHe is older than Obama, but she never screws up like that. Oh, I forgot, she’s a robot. Well, I’d take a smart, accurate and compassionate “robot” over a bumbling, selfish fool any day.

    • apishapa

What I was thinking when reading the above discussion about drugs use. Maybe he’s like Bush and has been hitting the sauce a little too much.

  • Charles Lemos

He is just inept. A train wreck waiting to happen.

here’s a series of reports on Obama’s bundlers:

    Lobbyist Connections

    Code Pink

    Oil & Gas Connections

    Reed Hundt & Ari Emanuel

Obama takes money from lobbyists and he has gotten more money from energy companies than anyone else.

  • brandy

Add to his gaffes this ABC news gem regarding Obama’s visit to an American Indian Reservation:

“Obama’s transition into the Crow extended family was not without a few hiccups. While greeting the crowd at the onset, Obama mistakenly mispronounced the name of their land.”

We really need to tally this guy’s gaffes.

It’s clearer and clearer that he is George W. Bush II.

  • Big Tuna

    Forgetting is a time-honored defense.

Chin Gigante, [http://www.slate.com/id/2118326/ The Odd Father], was a master at this, plus feigning mental illness. It worked for a while for Chin.

This guy Bambi talks and writes to much, for the defense to be effective.

Final day of “hunting” season is Nov.4, and by that time, Bambi will probably be wrapped in toilet paper.

    I weep for Chicago.

  • karen for Clinton

Me thinks he is still smoking the hopium or maybe it is anti-depression meds or perhaps there is something to the stories about his drug use.

He sure is an unpresidential dimwit.

  • bmc

That’s the problem with being a compulsive liar. You can’t remember which lies you’ve told to whom.

    He quit smoking, too.

    bwahahahahahaha….

obama claims he is interested in the environment but does not know about Hanford…..OBAMA NEEDS TO BE EDUCATED. Maybe he should tune into Foxnews or read Larry’s blog.

Didn’t Obama say that 10,000 people died in Kansas when in reality it was 12. Obama got confused. Poor dear must be all the stress his wife is under.

  • Jill L

OhMiDog… that’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time… too bad it’s all true… Oy vey!!
    thanks Sultan… Knishes are delicious!

  • PaganPower

For someone that graduated from Harvard this guy sure is a dumb ass.

  • Charles Lemos

Obama’s two very different thoughts on Iran. Mind you he said these things in a space of six hours. The only difference was the venue. Conversative Montana versus liberal Oregon.

    Make Up Your Mind

I’m getting whiplash from all this. And both statements are on video. I can’t wait to see the GOP ads.

“Obama knows they speak Arabic in Afghanistan and that there are poppy fields in Iraq.”

Lol. You know, if you’re going to write an article about getting the facts right, perhaps you should get the facts right yourself. Our primary enemy in Afghanistan is al-Qaeda, who are arabs who’ve traveled to Afghanistan to train and fight the US. Guess what language they speak. And as for poppies?

    “After Afghanistan, Opium Invades Iraq”
    http://www.turkishweekly.net/news.php?id=45210

    “Opium: Iraq’s deadly new export”
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/opium-iraqs-deadly-new-export-449962.html

And really, do we want to go into Clinton’s and McCain’s gaffes while we’re at it? Because that’d be like shooting fish in a barrel.

  • Hope

    Rei,
So our troops on the ground will be talking to Al Queda? Wow that makes our job much easier,we could just ask them where they are. With the exception of intercepting information from them, maybe our operatives would need a little assistance from natives of the area, hence the need to have appropriate translators.

  • Tom J

So this is supposed to balance out the number of times President Bush and Senator McCain ‘misspoke’?

What’s your point? Repeatedly confusing Sunni and Shia isn’t nearly as important?
