mutiny.jpg“… … .. Some even accuse Mr. Obama of chauvinism, pointing to the time he called Mrs. Clinton “likeable enough” as evidence of dismissiveness. Nancy Wait, 55, a social worker in Columbia City, Ind., said Mr. Obama was far less qualified than Mrs. Clinton and described as condescending his recent assurances that Mrs. Clinton should stay in the race as long as she liked. I pledge not to vote for Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

Oh .. and my husband, mother, father and brother won’t be either.

I also pledge that I’ll use his middle name as often as I wish.

I also pledge that I’ll continue to expose this racist-sexist pig whenever possible and for as long as he’s in public office.

I also pledge that I will continue to educate ALL AMERICANS that Obama is nothing more than a plastic Jesus.

  • Ash McGonigal

I pledge, as should all of you, to vote for the nominee of the Democratic Party. Unless you’re a big fan of George W. Bush and his clone John McCain. This election is too important to give away on what amounts to piddling nonsense.

You are right: this election is too important to squander. This is why I will not vote for a Democrat unless Hillary Clinton is the nominee.

i pledge to vote for mccain over obama. if mccain’s not running for some reason, i pledge to vote for whoever is running against obama. i pledge to vote FOR obama’s opponent, as that is the strongest, most effective way to vote AGAINST obama – costs him twice.

ash can take his “piddling nonsense” argument and stuff it.

  • http://noratings.blogspot.com/ Bud White

I will vote for McCain because I think he’d be a better president than Obama. I’ve never voted Republican before.

  • Janicen

The only vote I will ever cast for Barack Hussein Obama is if he is the Vice Presidental running mate of Hillary Clinton.

Even then, it will be tough.

  • John

Easiest pledge I’ve ever taken. I absolutely will not vote for Barack Obama. In fact, I’ll vote for McCain- and I’ve voted Democrat for President in every election since 1984.

I will not do anything to assist in putting that man in the White House.

  • Joe Beese

I was going to vote for him. But then the author reminded me that his middle name is HUSSEIN.

And as that WV lady said on the teevee, “I’ve had enough of HOO-sayn!”

So now I’m going to write in a vote for Hillary – cuz she fights for stuff. [And you'd have to be an asshole to vote for McCain.]

There is no way in HELL I will vote for Obama.

I do not like how the democratic blogs were hijacked 6 months ago, and converted to the voice of Hate Rhetoric, and spam.

I will not support a campaign that used the race card from the very beginning to harm an innocent opponent.

When Obama and Clinton are together, she stands out as the star. She is as knowledgeable as he is lacking. Her judgement is sound. He looks like her intern.

My children cannot afford insurance, and I cannot afford another lackluster president.

There is no way in HELL I will vote for Obama.

  • Ulahane

Give it a rest, Ash. A problem with you Obamabots is that you dismiss any legitimate criticisms of Obama as being “piddling nonsense” For most Americans character matters, for most Americans records mean more than rhetoric, and for most Americans love of country comes before love of vague promises. And real Democrats are real Americans.

Sorry but comparing McCain to Bush doesn’t work. Environment, Campaign reform, Torture, “Gitmo,” and balancing the budget, and Rumsfeld’s tactics are just a few of the many areas that Bush and McCain have clashed over. Read a newspaper occasionally.

With that out of the way, I pledge not to vote for Obama in this election.

As I believe people can change, I might vote for him in the distant future if he denounces TUCC, Ayers, and various other unsavory individuals and if he actually gets some substance.

  • Dawnelle

    My requirement for TOP DOG

#1 – both parents or the candidate MUST be natural born Americans (one generation at least please)

#2 – they should be able to acquire at LEAST a Secret Clearance. That’s all I had so they should at least be able to achieve that.

#3 – they have to convince ME that they REALLY WANT THE JOB out of GOOD intentions.

#4 – they must win (clearly) in their election (not tie, not intimidate, not depend on dip shits that don’t know even the BASICS in vetting.

I’m sorry, the amount of whining and crying at this site has made it unreadable. . . at the end of the day, it’s the folks who work directly under the POTUS that make the administration, not so much the individual. I bet there will be a lot of the same folks who get those positions whether or not it is Ms. Clinton or Mr. Obama who win.

You people need to get over yourselves.

  • bluemoon

Is there a way we can let the Democratic Party know en masse we are doing this- Whatever day Obama announces he is the nominee I suggest those who aren’t going to have this lightweight shoved down our throats to a glorious McGovern-like defeat unregister as Democrats. Perhaps if we begin to take some collective action along these lines they will realize the grave error they are making?

    Ideas?

I’m not only prepared not to vote for Obama, I’m prepared to agitate against him or perhaps against the party itself in some way- like working on revoking taxpayer funding for their convention?

I’m not comfortable at all with McCain, but I’ve had quite enough of this charade.

Ideas? My brother has said he will sit out, my mom & her two friends are out, one other will vote McCain- of the eight personal people who I know who voted Democrat in 04, and most of us actually worked canvassing, etc. for that other swiss cheese (filled with easily exploited holes) nominee- I mean, I cannot tell you how fast they are falling away from Obama. And there ain’t no VP who can break his fall in these states- not even Hillary, not even if she asks- not if he is at the top of the ticket, which makes beyond no sense.

Ideas? I will go back to my beloved rogue “I” Indie status in a heartbeat. I’ve had enough.

    Ideas?

    Mass voter registration change date?

Hillary Clinton: The Other White Meat. How The DNC ate the Clinton Campaign.
    **********

Something deeply disturbing has gone down in the Democratic Party over the course of the last year. 50% of the Democratic electorate is being thrown overboard by the elites. It is now evident that this was planned by numerous people high up in both party’s power structures with the assent of some powerful media outlets. Not to mention George Soros. Below I list the evidence for my allegation that a fix was put in to stop Hilary Clinton. All of it is either MY inference or can be easily found with some basic google searches. This post goes to my suspicions. There may be rebuttals on all counts. Feel free to refute me on any point.

Obamites: get all your high handed rage ready. I am announcing here – upfront – that I am attempting to connect some dots with known material. This is not journalism. It does not pretend to be.

Obama makes no sense as a national candidate. This could change, I admit. I am not in the “he can’t win” category. He could. (sans my vote) The coalition he has put together is simply weaker in most general election scenarios than Clinton’s and yet the DNC and “liberal” media seem hell bent on anointing him. Since he admittedly has less experiecne than the stronger G.E. candidate, Clinton, why? His policy proposals are the same as Clinton’s or weaker by Dems standards . He is, in fact, a divisive, figure now not a uniter. So why is the DNC and the media STILL determined to crown Obama? I believe there is more to the story – like the run up to the Iraq war – and am genuinely curious. Yes, I am furious about the sexism in the media abetted by the Obama camp. Yes, I resent how badly she has been treated. Yes, I am sad and disgusted it looks like she came in a close second. (except in the popular vote) And YES I think her campaign made some large mistakes. All of that plays a part – in my thinking. Still I wonder if a fix was not put in on Hillary early on. I am allowed to. The blog is 50% mine.

The 10 points below that indicate a plan for creating Obama and stopping Hillary Clinton and are worth deeper investigation:

    1. Almost all Obama’s legislative “accomplishments” came in his final year as a state senator. He had little to do with any of it aside from putting his name on the bill.

    2. With heavy pressure from the Chicago owned Los Angeles Times a family court judge released the sealed divorce proceedings of BHO’s main opponent for the U.S. Senate. This paved the way for an easy victory. Since the documents contained salacious information both parties in the divorce proceedings loudly protested the release of the documents. It was done anyway, flying in the face of ALL family court precedent. Why?

    3. The poison pill in Florida GOP “paper trail” voting bill: Moving the primary up in violation of DNC rules became impossible for Democrats to vote against. They would have had to vote against a “paper trail” – after the 2000 thievery. Check mate.

    4. Immediately following Florida’s move Donna Brazille loudly pushed for the DNC to use the “nuclear” option and strip Florida of ALL it’s delegates. Not the saner choice, made by the GOP, to remove half the delegation. Donna got her way. Florida, now denuded of power, was assumed to be a Clinton state. Turned out it was.

    5. The same irrational, draconian punishment was meted out to Michigan, another Clinton stronghold. Nevertheless, fearing a Clinton rout in a large state, Obama chose to take his name off the ballot. He was not forced. 4 Democrats remained on the ballot. Clinton easily defeated them all.

    6. Two of the largest Democratic political blogs suddenly became righteously anti – Clinton. Kos had an insurrection on its hands and without a murmur of concern allowed all Pro-Clinton writers to leave, though previously it supported moderate Democrats and Liberals. Americablog, run by the openly Gay man, John Avarosis, changed its tune even more abruptly. After years of viciously going after any and all homophobes, including Obama friend Donnie McClurkin, Americablog has surrendered its previous principled stance. Obama’s homophobic fellow travellers are not an issue at Americablog. Why? Can I say a quid pro quo is behind this? No. Do I think there is more than meets the eye here? I certainly do.

    7. The media drumbeat for Clinton to “get out” began right after Iowa. It was often loudest after she WON primaries. Bizarrely, the noise would peak after she had come from behind in Texas and soundly beat Obama in Ohio. It revved up again after she won PA handily -again after she came from behind to win in Indiana. There was no logic to the media’s demands. The race was, and remains, close. The week of Obama’s 41 point defeat in West Virgina Time magazine “declared” him the winner. Go figure.

    8. Howard Dean has demanded adherence to the rules when it comes to Florida and Michigan while ignoring them when if comes to Iowa. According to the DNC’s stated policy Iowa violated the rules by placing its caucus on Jan 3. Why did Dean ignore this violation?

    9. Obama’s well timed endorsements have been suspicious to me for a while. John Edwards’ timing is most suspect. A solicitation email from an Edwards group was sent out the same day leading a logical observer to conclude that money had something to do with it. Elizabeth Edwards was not present when her husband endorsed Obama.

    10. The Wright tapes were roundly ignored for months by all major media outlets. How is this possible? They were out there. Purchasable on the church’s web site, for goodness sake. Yet, voters in fully 2/3 of the states had to decide BEFORE seeing them. Given the “gotcha” media environment – a logical person can only conclude that the media decided to ignore the tapes – until they no longer could.

Go on – let me have it. But please Obamatons, respond with rebuttals to one or all ten points above. Do not roundly scream “sour grapes!” and think you’ve won an argument. All points are verifiable or events I question based on my observations. Tell me I am on the right track or on the wrong one and why. We all did this same type of thinking out loud after Katherine Harris and Jeb Bush stole the 2000 election.

Elections are rough. I fault Clinton for not seeing how much the decked was stacked against her and responding more forcefully. Nevertheless, we have the right to ask questions about how all this came to pass.

  • rjj

If I had a TV I would have the religion channel on all the time. More inferable information there than from the news.

I pledge to never vote for Barack Obama, partially due to the biased media hype and the blatant misogyny rampant in the press and blogs. I will also change my registration to Independent and will refuse to support any Democrats who have sold their souls for the Obama Cash Train. That such an incompetent, inexperienced, empty suit would deserve the support of the DNC is troubling. That the DNC is “in the bag” for this untested candidate is obvious. This is not Democracy in action…it reeks of a fascist movement.

Not after how a credible and qualified candidate was sidelined by the party and the media. Fairness and justice is what we look for and we did not get it. If it was not for his race, he would have been gone before it even started, with all his questionable associations, thin resume, gaffes, lies. He is unworthy of my vote and will not get it. I don’t trust him to put together a competent administration and I am not ready to reduce the President to a figurehead, especially when we have had that for the last 8 years and more so, because we have a credible and competent candidate that has been denied this nomination with a party fix.

Based on principle, integrity, character and my unwavering commitment to the most qualified candidate,HRC, I pledge never to sell my soul to the powers that be in the DNC and party loyalists by voting for their sorry excuse for a nominee, named Barack Hussein Obama.

  • Al

Very sad news, indeed. He and his loved ones will be in our prayers.

  • Minniemom

I, Minniemom, do solemnly pledge to never vote for Barrack Obama.

I also have been given a pledge from my husband, mother, father, sister, brother-in-law, best friend, best friend’s husband, aunt, uncle, grandmother and grandfather, and mother-in-law. We all feel that a vote for Obama would be a vote for sexism and racism, which we refuse to support.

Furthermore, we pledge to vote *against* Obama simply because we want to know that we did everything we could to prevent sexism and race baiting as becoming acceptable.

  • jes

    It’s on CNN, MSNBC, NYT’s, etc;

  • hafeeza

i pledge to work with all my strength and all my might against you nazis.

  • Peggy Sue

A pledge and pinky-swear, I will not vote for Obama, nor will anyone I’m related to. His campaign and the DNC has already written my folks off–you know, the clingy blue collar, lunch bucket brigade.

They say they don’t need us. They’ve signed 3.5 million new voters and we’re just yesterday’s news.

Well, you know what? We no longer need or believe in them! Start counting our vanishing heads and wallets.

Ask your “Saviour” what he did when his Good friend REZCO, did absolutely nothing when his “Good friend” Rezco took advantage of his tenants in those Slums he owns.

Ask him how his wife all of a sudden got a LARGE raise at the Hospital she works at as soon as he became a Sen….
.Ask your ” SUN GOD” why he chose to announce his run for senate at the home of a domestic Terroist…

    Go ahead…..ASK!

  • Angie

I pledge not to vote for Obama. My husband, father mother all pledge NOT to vote for Obama.

  • Dawnelle

no no he’s no savior of mine!

I am a HILLARY VOTER big time but I am also someone who has NOT FORGOTTEN what ROVE, CHENEY, ETC has done to this country!! They (imo) started it.

I do NOT like Obambi and will NOT vote for him but I will NOT vote for a McKook unless he has some stellar VP.

ALSO my friend CONNIE said she would vote for PUKES down ticket which scares me cuz I thought she really was a DEM and believed in the basic tenants of being a democrat.

R’s are the OPPOSITE of me in almost every way! That’s my point.

I won’t cut off my nose to spite my face.

    I’m also NO ONES LEMMING

  • Ash McGonigal

I’d be happy to take some legitimate criticisms of Obama. All I’ve seen is piddling nonsense, apart from things like health care where I have a real problem with both Hillary and Obama’s plans, but nowhere near the problem I have with McCain’s plan of “keep letting the health insurance companies put us over a barrel.”

That is also, in fact, McCain’s economic plan. We’re already heading for a second Great Depression. I’m voting for the candidate who’s not out to dig us deeper in. Obama is my preferred candidate, due to him standing for things like a DoJ that will enforce antitrust legislation.

The fact that Charlie Black is a chief advisor, in my opinion, is all you need to know to say “I’ll vote for Conan O’Brian’s masturbating bear before I’ll vote for John McCain.”

But hey, if you want our military ruined, our economy to look like Zimbabwe, and our Supreme Court to be insanely right wing, then best to you. I’m just saying that’s not part of my America.

  • Stephanie

I will never vote for Obama, neither will my family or my real friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Michaela22

I had never planned to vote for this fraud…I did not like him from the beginning and as time wore on, my first instinct was right…

You can count me in as another that will never vote for Barack Hussein Obama…

  • Dakinikat

JUST A FEW words on THAT:

VETO PROOF MAJORITY IN THE SENATE!!!!

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

    Oh and another thing….
Ask your “Saviour” what he did when his Good friend REZCO, did absolutely nothing and took advantage of his tenants in those Slums he owns. Charging them Premium rates for Rat Infested Apartments…..

.Ask your ” SUN GOD” why he chose to announce his run for senate at the home of a domestic Terroist…

Ask him why he wont release his Illinois Senate Records….What does he have to hide?

Go ahead…..ASK! Or are you afraid of what YOU will frind?

June 13 is the Day we Show the DNC that Democrats will not stand for dictorship. Mark your calenders for friday June 13th, switch your party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. Make this a very Unlucky Day for the Democratic Party!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It’s Not Me

Obamarhoids are the funny ones. If you were all so concerned about all those “issues” in your post, perhaps you should have supported the candidate that can beat McCain in November. Too bad for you it’s NOT Obama.

  • Ulahane

Ok, “reverse Roe vs. Wade” for approximately the 500th time. Democrats in the Senate will have to approve all Supreme Court nominations. They will not approve justices that are likely to overturn Roe V. Wade. McCain doesn’t care about the issue enough to waste his likely one term on it.

“wage war with Iraq for 100 years” I heard the speech too. He said then, and spelled out later, that troops may be there 100 years (like Germany and Japan) only if they were not in harm’s way. To try to make that statement into a 100 years war is a lie of Swift Boat proportions.

“make sure the ‘middle class’ (which means $ over 200,000.00) get tax cuts.” McCain has opposed most tax cuts throughout his legislative career. He will not end the Bush tax cuts during a recession but, you can bet, ending them would be on the table if the economy picks up.

That last bit is ridiculous. Do you really think Obama’s public sexism to strangers is trumped by McCain’s foul language to his wife.

Now put down the Kool-Aid and think.

  • http://www.hillaryclinton.com President Hillary Clinton will defeat Obama and his troll army!

I took the pledge a long time ago. Nobama. Never.

Its funny watching the trolls try to spin this. They are trying to bail out an aircraft carrier with a teaspoon.

So the trolls are always talking Obama is the nominee. They have met the result if that would happen.

August is a long way off, trolls. Many surprises are in store for Barry and whats her name, the now “off limits” you wish wife of his.

  • Dawnelle

    did you read my responses?

you have me confused with someone I am not

    I forgive you

  • JP

I am an American citizen first. That is where my heart and duty is, to my country. No party affiliation can make me vote for an anti-American like Obama. Fellow Americans, we are at war. Defend America by not voting for Obama in any way. He cannot be allowed to enter our White House. He needs to be taken out of the Senate, he is unfit for our Country. Let him run for office in Kenya with his cousin Odinga since he holds dual citizenship. His anti-American friends will fit in fine there. Then lets clean house in the DNC, the Congress, the Senate, Governorships, etc. Vote for no one who endorsed this anti-American.

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

Then forgive me my Ignorance Dawnelle…

..Its sometimes hard to cyper those that troll here and those that are sincere….I have a reason to dislike this man…I have followed his career closely and I have had the displeasure of meeting this man on social occassions thru the Dem party here in Illinois and Almost everyone that has had to work with him here in Illinois DONT TRUST HIM

I will never vote for Obama, for anything.

This is the most important vote in my lifetime and I pledge I will not waste it on BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. The Democratic party as it stands now has trashed our rights and has tried to destroy the party of the people. We can’t let this happen without standing up and letting then know our vote will count in the General election.

  • Dora Ratquila

Somebody hand Larry an ashtray, please. Sure, Obama’s proposed platform of government sounds impressive and pro-people. I am almost tempted to buy it hook, line and s(t)inker – until I remembered the botched bamboozling incident during the fight for Ohio when key advisers of the Obama campaign had a secret meeting with representatives of the Canadian embassy about NAFTA. Uhm, and didn’t Samantha “Hillary is a monster” Power reveal her candidate’s real stand on Iraq, contradicting his earlier public pronouncements? If Hillary is not on the ballot, millions of us would rather give John McCain a chance to rebuild the Republican Party that George W. Bush brought to the extreme radical right. Obama’s choice friends – both declared and undeclared – seem to signal a move to the extreme radical left which is already happening within the Democratic Party. No f____g way!

Furthermore I pledge to Campaign actively against Barry and his pay for play politics of personal profiteering on the hopes and dreams of the downtrodden, his policy of appeasment of terrorists thereby discounting the value of the blood of true American patroits who spilt their blood to defend this country willingly or unknowingly (911), and i hereby affirm that I ain’t drinking his damn kool-aid.

    Just say No to Obamboozlama.

  • Tigger12

I have been registered as an independent for 28 years and have already signed the petition to vote for McCain if BO is nominated. If BO or McCain are the choices, then the McCain wins hands down because he actually has done something and has actual experience. It is time to derail the Obama train before it wrecks this country. It is time for all good democrats to register as independents. We now have 33% of the national vote…we will be the majority when this happens.

  • Catriley

    “Ash”

I suggest that you take a close close look at Obama’s insiders and advisors. If you’re squeamish about corporate control and cronyism, then you are obviously blind to Obama’s inner circle. He is as filthy with lobby and corporate money as they get.

The message of changing politics are just words. Words written by a middle aged white guy named Axelrod who resume includes work for Exelon, the energy company that is one of Obama’s top donors. Tom Daschle? Lobbyist with lobbyist spouse. Penny Priztker? Subprime Queen. and so on and so on.

Just saying something doesnt’ make it so. Obama tell people like you that he’s different and above taking lobbyist money and worshipping at the altar of corporate cash, but it’s a facade created by Axelrod and friends. The thing is… the entire Change thing is a BRAND. The speeches you all drool over have been given by other candidates that were clients of Axelrod. The quotes all over Obama’s site are written by other people. And the point being that it obscures the facts about Obama’s inner circle and corporate and lobbyist influences.

Obama could declare himself the Queen of England today, and it doesn’t make it so. You should really do your homework on your candidate and the money trail (soros, Zbig, Rezko, Broadway Bank) before you start threatening us with that Supreme Court nonsense.

Oh.. and the country will be ruined if Obama manages to get the nomination anyway, because he doesn’t have a chance in hell of winning the GE, even if we all voted for him in November. He’s radioactive as a GE candidate. He’s got more skeletons in his closet than a medical school classroom.

  • norma

I pledge to not vote for Sen. Obama in the year 2008, even if Hillary Clinton asks me, even if she is on his ticket, which would seem like an insult — to have the woman take a back seat to the less qualified man.

Nope, I pledge to actively vote against Barack Obama.

  • Linda

Simply put, if there was a miraculous way for B O to even win, I don’t care to contribute to the kind of divisive, condescending, hateful and mean country he has promoted with his campaign. That’s not even getting into his poor policy and bad agenda in the continuance of fascism with his “I want to bring Corporations to my policy making table”-Obama.

    No thanks.

  • joe & Cynthia

After much research on Obama and the undemocratic 2008 primary process, we had made up our minds that we would never vote for him under any circumstances. It is not about revenge and/or emotions. It is a fact that he is not qualified, a fraud and a puppet in the scheme of things. The world conditions today, require an experience, intelligent, informed and caring leader. We know who that is !!!

I pledge that I will not vote for Obama and I also will work against him.
And I am not waiting till he is the nominee. At a graduation party last Sunday I told anyone who would listen the truth about TurdO.
Most people there were determined not to vote for Obama already and just agreed with me or added more, but there were some Obama supporters we turned. It was like an intervention. Think of all the graduations you are stuck going to in the next two months. And a lot of them don’t do blogs and only get their information from MSM.

  • mahaska

    no incumbents

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Amen! And try following the convoluted thinking of his supporters in making that all about really Hillary.

NAFTA killed him. It wouldn’t matter if every union head in the country came out and endorsed. The workers know what went down. *wink*

That’s why I don’t trust the polls on trust issues. I think, personally, it’s not an issue that can be polled directly. I don’t think the majority of Americans trust Obama because of his actions, not due to racism or his name or even Michelle’s gaffes. I think it’s due to NAFTA-GATE, Bitter-Gate, the great Wright speech and then the foolish attempt to distance.

We have his number. That’s all.

Personally, I had his number right before SC. But I’m impressed that he’s coughed up the real actions to validate every single opinion I held.

He should have listened to himself. He said he wasn’t ready for the presidency. He actually had the right answer then.

  • CherokeeWoman

My family pledges not to vote for Obama if he is on the Democratic ticket in either slot. We don’t even want him a heartbeat away from POTUS.

We also pledge not to vote for any Pledged or Super Delegate up for election in our state of Michigan who endorses Obama.

We pledge to vote for the strongest candidate in the Fall who can beat Obama (currently this is McCain).

The talking point for Obama is we should vote for him because of Roe vs. Wade, I am way past needing that law, so the kids that are getting him in need to learn what its like not to have safe abortions. Let them sweat like so many of us had to in the early 60′s. You could never watch TV back then without hearing about some poor young woman that died from having illegal abortion. That is what Roe vs Wade was all about!

I pledged not to vote for Obama when he and his surrogates accused Bill and Hillary Clinton of racism in order to obtain votes. I am so infuriated that Obama would fan the flames of racial divisiveness in that way that I am convinced that he is more dangerous to our country than McCain would be. I would not vote for Obama for anything unless he was on trial and I was on his jury in which case I would vote the SOB guilty as charged!

Me, too! Me, too! I won’t vote for him. And if down ticket dems want my vote, they better get off their a@#$@s and show some f&^#*&g leadership. I don’t vote for cowards and losers.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

I would vote for him, then. I trust Hillary’s judgement. I personally believe this is a case where the pundits are, once again, misjudging. I personally think she would scoff at the idea. But, she’s been fair and square and kept the message absolutely squeaky clean: That is premature.

But if Hillary thinks it would be good for the country for her to be VP, then I’d hold my nose and vote for him.

It’s quite possible she could influence positively from the sidelines.

I’m not about making some silly political statement, guys. I’m about what the country needs.

I think we’re in real trouble. Serious trouble. Depression-era type trouble.

Whatever sound leaders suggest as solutions, I’m going to listen hard and set aside my emotions.

Emotions come and go. But problems like we’re facing?

    They don’t.

I feel this strongly because of my Gen-Xer son. He was raised to think that life was all about video games and D&D marathons. He’s my real focus. I cannot in good conscience leave him a legacy of despair and ruin.

Until this latest dive in the housing, I really hoped I was being paranoid. This is twice now in my recent life that I’ve seen a plunge, and this one is far worse than the last one.

Whatever set this up, and I’m in the mindset that it was predatory lending practices that were approved by the insiders who are now backing Obama, I just know……we owe America more than knee-jerk reactions that feed our own emotionalism.

Long way around to say, I trust her judgment. If she says she can help, then I’ll believe her.

  • Margaret

I just googled “Clinton Supporters Count Too” and found this posting by one of the organizers:

Your responses are pouring in and have filled our inboxes in all states. We are moving rapidly and will have a website up soon, and are trying to respond to your emails as quickly as possible. Please pass this information on to everyone you can. Here’s what we need to do.

Make calls to OR and KY. We will have another stunning victory in KY and close the gap in OR. We believe the opposition will announce that he has won the nomination on May 20th after the polls close. It will not be believable when Hillary is announcing a HUGE VICTORY IN KY.

Organize a demonstration in front of your local NBC affiliate on election night, May 20th, starting at 6:30pm, until, preferably, the close of the 11:00 news. If you do not live close to your NBC affiliate, DO NOT WATCH IT. MAKE THEIR RATINGS PLUMMET. This must be done nationwide so that our numbers and strength are visible. We have announced this boycott of NBC at our press conference. Do this to show the strength of Hillary Supporters to defeat this less-qualified candidate that has been blatantly aided with biased reporting by much of the media, and protest the sexist behavior and disgraceful comments from NBC anchors. Make you own signs, for Hillary or against any of these offenses. Use your imagination. But most of all, JUST DO IT. YOU BEING THERE WILL MAKE THE STATEMENT THAT WOMEN ALL OVER AMERICA, ARE MAD AS HECK AND AREN’T GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE.

The next step is the Resolution of FL and MI and we will demonstrate in Washington on May 31st when the Rules Committee meets. Save the date. …more later. Each time we enter a new phase we will determine the most effective strategy and communicate it to you. Your part is to help make it happen throughout OH, MI, PA and FL, the critical states where we have the advantage.

THIS IS OUR MOMENT. HILLARY IS OUR CANDIDATE. WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE HISTORY. LET’S USE IT!

That is, if Hillary doesn’t make it. But dang she is tough and I am still with her!

They really need to get a website up first before calling for protests…better to have a big organized protest than a bunch of weak, ineffective ones. In the least they could get a blogger account and put up a blog – would take about 20 minutes.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy they are doing this, but the lack of website is keeping me from promoting them right now. Take a few hours and put one up somewhere – it’s not that hard, if you start simple.

  • bluesky

I pledge to never vote for the criminal, sexist Obama period! Axelrod could offer me $1 million dollars, and I would refuse it. Obama should never be allowed to step on the White House lawn.

  • LesleeE

I never thought it would come to this, but if, god forbid Obama is the nominee then I will vote for McCain. Do I like all of his policies? No I don’t, but I believe his heart is in the right place. I can’t say the same thing about Obama. I neither like nor do I trust him for all the multitude of reasons stated on this blog.
So far as Roe V Wade is concerned, it’s far too good a rallying and fund raising issue for it to be banned. Currently they are chipping away at it state by state and regardless of who is in the Whitehouse will continue to do so.
    Hillary will prevail.

Reason, ha-ha-ha. The Obamacampaign has been nothing but race-baiting and bandwagon kill the messenger tactics. You don’t get it. You and people like you are trying to steal this election and shove a communist-loving, socialist, racist, misogynist down out throats, because you agree with his politics.

I love America too much to give it to the likes of you and your compatriots. So move over, thug, because the grownups are playing now. We are patriots you aren’t.

  • CognitiveDissonance

I will never, ever vote for Obama, not even for Sewer Commissioner, though that’s where his rhetoric belongs. The #1 reason is the fact that he smeared the Clintons with racist charges. To me, that is one of the most despicable acts a democrat could ever commit. I will not vote for him. Nor will I ever forgive him for that. I will also set my sites on all the democrats who enabled them simply because they thought it would be cool to have a coup in the democratic party, even if we lose the presidency behind their stupidity.

  • michelle

I really wanted to write in Hillary’s name on my ballot, but my state disqualifies ballots that pick people who lost the primary for president. So I’m in a bit of a mess, because I LOATHE BO to the core of my being. But the Bush adm. policies have run counter to every American ideal. Then I realize that a vote for BO would validate all the sexism throughout the campaign, something I could not tolerate. People must wake up and realize that racism is no longer the issue–it is sexism and misogyny that is the real threat today. Our unhealthy perceptions of women stunt economic and societal growth and advance the spread of human trafficking and prostitution. Couple this with the fact that Obama has pretty much failed to link McCain to Bush, and the fact that McCain will be fiscally conservative (unlike Bush) and has a better understanding of the mess in Iraq (threat of genocide), the choice for me is pretty clear. I pledge to vote for McCain, as long as those across the U.S. who can do so, will write in Clinton’s name on the ballot. Or you know, just vote for McCain. What is important is keeping that sexist race-baiting pony away from the presidency.

  • Hillraiser429

  • Don

  • K. Wynne

I’m proud to pledge that I will not vote for Obama. One of the easiest pledges I’ve ever had to make.

To all who wish to either “write-in” Hillary’s name or just stay home, let me warn you that there is definitive proof that voting machines can be manipulated, without detection, to alter the outcome of the votes.

40% of the votes will be counted on voting machines, over half of them have no paper trail, so there is no way to check the accuracy of the count. Any machined that has a paper trail, it’s next to impossible to audit them against the number of votes cast, and the paper trail can be altered too, to reflect the correct number of voters, but change the way you voted! To find out more to support this claim, go to HackingDemocracy.com.

Trust me, the best and most effective way to keep Obama out of the WH, should they steal the nomination away from Hillary, is to vote for McCain.

I won’t vote for Obama. I wo’t vote for my Democratic Congressman, John Salazar, either. I didn’t vote for him last time because of his vote on the military commissions act. I’m still mad over that, so I’ll just leave that blank.

I don’t know if I’ll vote for McCain or write in Hillary or maybe even Nader. For the first time in 35 years, I won’t feel obligated to anyone if Hillary is not on the ballot. Before this, I’ve never voted for anyone who wasn’t a Democrat. I think I’ll shop around.

  • Milly

Count me too. I pledge not to vote for Sen Obama, no I will vote to for any of those who betrayed our best candidate Sen Rodham in the Democratic Party. My pledge too, is to denounce that this game of Republicans creating this kind of game to push disgusted democrats to their side must stop. If we continue playing their game the Rep will continue doing this at every election time, since they have seen positive results. Sen Obama is a ‘pawn’ of the Republican Party whose mission is to stop Sen Rodham, and from the same Republican is where must of the money comes to support him.

Pls read the following report, why Republicans created the dummy of Bush, Sen Obama, a strategy by Karl Rove, to stop Sen Rodham to win the nomination and the reasons for doing so. They even have a plan to replace J. Mccain in October!!!

    http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/Winter08/2008Election.html

    Bamboozling the American electorate again…

Vague as they sound, those last two remarks may prove prophetic in the event the Obama strategy fails and she (Sen Rodham) goes on to win the Democratic nomination. The implications of a female president for American foreign and domestic policy are profound, especially when the candidate has promised greater oversight of corporations, federally sponsored job programs and improving women’s human rights around the world. Such initiatives create jitters not only for Wall Street concerns but for the Pentagon, the CIA and the State Department. Officials accused of breaking U.S. laws or violating the Geneva Conventions could ostensibly be arrested and prosecuted by a Clinton-run Justice Department.

And if that’s not enough to keep Bush appointees lying awake deep into the night, their long-running wink-wink with the ayatollahs in Iran, the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence and the Saudi royal family would likely be curtailed if a woman were to take over in the West Wing. The Saudis especially have reason to fret now that they and their counterparts in Kuwait and the U.A.E. have started buying up huge stakes in U.S. banks. In the eyes of the oil producing countries, Condolleeza Rice and Nancy Pelosi are one thing, a Clinton White House quite another.

Last year, President Bush himself may have implemented a back-up plan to a possible Clinton Administration Part II when he signed National Security Presidential Directive/NSPD 51. This executive order ostensibly allows him to suspend the constitution without prior congressional approval if he declares a state of emergency (i.e. martial law) in the event of a major terrorist attack or other “decapitating” incident against the United States. According to the language in the directive, the attack need not even take place inside the country.

Under NSPD 51, the President can cancel elections, padlock the Capitol dome and send the Supreme Court justices home. The directive also assigns his homeland security assistant – a low-level position exempt from senate confirmation – to administer what has been dubbed the Enduring Constitutional Government.

If my person doesn’t win I’m gonna run away with my ball!!!! Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh… I will vote for Kodos!

You know, as a Nader voter in 2000 in MD… (wouldn’t have mattered because of the electoral college turnout overwhelmingly for Gore here, didn’t go near him in 04) I remember the huge amount of crap being heaped on us by the perpetual-election losing Democratic Leadership Council dopes that blamed Nader for the loss (while looking the other way while Florida got gamed.) I saw the repeated abuse on 00 and 04 Nader voters as GOP-lackey SCOTUS and other federal court nominees went through and we were told, “SEE, there is a difference.” When 911, the environment and all the other crap went down in the Bush administration, not infrequently we were blamed as the cause for all the misery.

So glad someone else will take that baton. It’s hard to get the stink out of your clothes after another unnecessary front in the Perpetual War opens.

So if you will not vote anyone, fair enough, no one should be forced to vote for anyone.

As for the newly-formed McSame-iacs because of the possible nomination of Obama… I say this to you. Were you ever a Democrat? Oh now you are swayed by his “maverick” style (think Maverick as in the Air-to-Ground missile, the kind we’ll be buying a lot of if he’s elected)… probably even dig that he calls his wife a c*nt, eh? Yeah, run to the guy that was called every name in the book by his opponent’s handlers, who had his service, his captivity, his patriotism even slurred in 00. Who then in 04 would kneel fast enough in front of GWB… A man that has to be quizzed on geopolitics that Iran and Al Queda are not the same beast??? Holy fucking batshit! The mutiny is happening within the party elders! Way to go NQ and bloggers you are having a huge impact on the election!

Keep the heat up it is working!

Susan turn that into a separate thread?

It is important to note Koch still supports Hillary but like many of us he will campaign against Obama in a GE match-up with McCain. This is from the link Susan found:

Koch, a regular Newsmax pundit, also says in his interview that he still endorses Sen. Hillary Clinton for the White House and believes she should stay in the race. He says he is bothered by Sen. Barack Obama’s relationships with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and terrorist bomber William Ayers, and agrees with McCain that a pre-emptive strike against Iran may be necessary.

Newsmax: You’ve been an ardent supporter of Hillary Clinton. Do you think that the time has come for her to drop out of the race?

Koch: No, definitely not. I think that she has done a splendid job so far and that the people who want to drive her out of the primaries are anti-democratic. Why shouldn’t the people in every state have an opportunity to cast their vote? I think she’s very brave, and while the chances of her ultimately succeeding are limited, nevertheless she can succeed. Her audience is now the superdelegates.

The issue of requesting birth control is beyond defensible.

They won’t DO it. Frankly, they don’t deserve the safety net, then.

The abortion issue should have been vanquished by now except for cases involving birth defect and rape. It’s inexcusable for it to be about casual sex.

So I leave that issue for the next generation. It’s about sex and attitudes.

I staked out my own position long ago, back in the 70′s. The women of child-bearing age must decide for themselves on this issue.

The abortion issue should have been vanquished by now except for cases involving birth defect and rape. It’s inexcusable for it to be about casual sex.

Abortions legal for cases of rape, incest and detrimental harm to the mother. But not “abortion on demand”. I’m even mixed on the “morning after” pill, because it gives irresponsible people another reason to be rewarded — they knew condoms break, and the pill isn’t 100% safe, especially those who mostly have these abortions — 20/30ish professional class women who can charge it on their credit card. So none of this ignorance factor.

    Women’s rights are responsible rights.

    And SusanUnPC

If you are just saying his name because that is what it is, fine do so…

If you are saying “Hussein” as if to make the knuckle-draggingly ignorant connection between Saddam & Obama or that Obama a closet muslim because “hyuck, hyuck those camel-frakkers terrarists are named Hussein,” uh I’m not sorry if you called out on it for what it is…

And not even because it’s un-PC, you know cuz it’s that Ann Coulter “look at me, I’m un-PC, I said something naughty, look at me!” thing. And not even because it lamely tries to tar Obama… it shows the kind of world-ignorance that says if you got even more pissed your one step away from, “yo, Hussein! you must be a sand ni**er terra’ist with a name like Hussein.”

If that’s your band of 3AM True Patriotism (wow, the Patriotism-card… yawn, so 2002 Midterm-election Max Cleland morphed into Osama Bin Laden-like), go vote for McCain.

I will no doubt be called a Obamabot or troll for this…

But I ask any of you… if YOU were named Hussein (which is only like one of the most COMMON F’ING NAMES in that region)… never picked up a weapon in your life, never had an evil thought in your head, and had a bunch of gutter A-Holes brand your name as a slur just to score pathetic political points…

How the hell would you feel? That’s why this Hussein crap is old and middle-school… not for Obama’s sake.

  • Proud of America

Not any of would ever vote for Barack Obama…not my spouse, our children, aunts, uncles, hordes of cousins or their spouses and adult children. That’s a whole bunch of no votes for BO!

For the first time ever, this Democratic voting extended family plans to hold our noses and vote for John McCain. NEVER EVER OBAMA!

None of us can even imagine the angry, America hating, “whitey” hating Michelle representing our country as the First Lady and her racist snob of a husband representing this great land as president.

What has happened to our country? And even scarier is what is going to happen to the United States of America with Pres. Barack Hussien Obama?

If 1/3 of Democratic women vote for McCain
and…The women over 50 cover far more than that and….

1/2 of the democratic blue collar workers who are moderate swing voters vote for McCain….and

50 percent of Latinos vote McCain

…and majority of Jews vote McCain

    …and only 1/2 of seniors vote McCain….

Barack Obama is dead meat. Good luck with that.

I haven’t even added Florida and Michigan in the mix…by the way, I just saw the Cubans listening to McCain in Florida. He was talking about how Barky wants to meet with Raul. They booed Obama heartily, and they have no problem voting Republican. Good luck with that too.

    hey RppPolyp

i never ever ever would have been friends with a domestic terrorist and had him bundle money and done fund raisers for me..i would have never been friends with someone who robbed the iraqi people..i would have never been friends with a guy who is one of the most corrupt people in chicago..i would never have worked for or with a domestic terrorist..

so i believe his middle name should be mentioned since the american media feels fit to not tell the american people about the real Obama Hussein!!

and please do look up the people who were severely injured by Obama’s money bundler and good friend Ayers!!

i bet they call Obama by better names than Hussein!

    his given name.

oh and do look up Islam’s 57 states and the fact that Obama said the USA has 57 states..a fraudian slip..i think not!

I’m going to agree with you here. The “HUSSEIN” stuff is childish at best and hurts the cause of Hillary supporters. It’s also insulting to Arabs, who have nothing to do with this campaign whatsoever. Please don’t hurt the cause of Hillary by using these juvenile tactics.

  • http://deotherone sbeck

You are right: this election is TOO important to squander. And the next elections are too important, also This is why I promise you that I will not vote for ANY Democrat ever again UNTIL Hillary Clinton IS the President of the United States.

  • Just a typical southern “hick”

We would just as soon to cut off our pinkie as to see a crooked, lying, sleazy, egomanic like Barack Hussein Obama as president.

What a sleaze bag…can’t even say his middle name. I don’t like mine either but I own it and it’s mine just as Hussien is his and I don’t make it a federal politically correct indictment if someone says mine.

Two faced Obama writes a big love story to his father who gave him his name and now Barack tries to disown his it. Real classy, Barry! Throw old daddy under the bus too.

Barack Hussein Obama is not for the typical bitter white middle/lower class hard working voter. He could care less and will also throw over the blacks once he is president…except for the African ones.

We’ll never vote for Mr. Hussein Jr…not because he is part black or a closet Mussilm but because of the content of his character.

If only we had a true uniter like Martin Luther King to vote for.

So we pledge NEVER, NEVER, NEVER to vote for Barack Obama for president or even for dog catcher of his county. We’ll send money to see this lying son defeated and run out of any kind of politics in America.

I’m saying an immediate vote for the other guy (McCain) that is not Obama JUST TO SPITE Obama is insane, period.

You ACTUALLY think he’s a moderate… that he cares about reform, that he actually signed or sponsored Jim Webb’s GI Bill expansion. Campaign finance? He’s already virtually broken his damn finance own laws…

I’m not talking about party loyalties… I’m talking about ideals… is McCain your ideals? Really? Then explain to me how McCain’s ideals sway you now that a certain Dem candidate

And I’m not screeching… screeching is someone who will spite themselves in the long run because they didn’t get something today. It’s called “cutting off your nose to spite your face.” I’m sorry but that’s how I see it. Call me a stone-creature that lives under a bridge.

I guess if the 100 years crap doesn’t worry you I guess the “Bomb-bomb bomb Iran” and not telling that Iran and Al Queda.

You call me an Obamabot: Ignorance. Just because I point out some similarities between two situations that seem unfavorable to your candidate… one that I respected, does not denote support for the opposite… as I said before… “a pox on both your houses” I was a Kucinich supporter… the one of the few in office, even when he could have lost his office for his stance, who was mocked by Temmeh Russert and Richard Perle mercilessly, he’s one of the few of the Dem contenders who got the Iraq thing right from the get go.

In other words, kindly shove the Obamabot stuff up yer arse.

We will NEVER, EVER, EVER vote for a …whatever he is…. like Barack Hussein Obama or his “mean” wife Michelle.

We are so disgusted with Barack Obama and his associates and what has been done to Hillary that we plan to leave the Democratic party if he is the nominee after generations of our family being strong Democrats. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly or in bitterness.

We plan to vote a straight Republican ticket.

We hope the vile racist, Donna Brazille and the screamin elitist John Dean are run out of the Democratic Party after their nasty plan to divide this party and ruin it.

We hope a third party will emerge after this election. Just call it the Independent Party.
And count millions of us in NOW.

  • http://OTliesvideo Lyn

I will NEVER vote for Obama and it is NOT out of spite as I hear from the places that are starting to notice Obama’s problem. I will never vote for a candidate that thinks it is fine to go to a racist church for 20 years and listen to anti American things there and not leave, I will never vote for a person that thinks it is fine to be friendly with terrorists, especially ones that only regret not bombing enough places. I won’t vote for a person that is friends with Rezko and Auchi and won’t vote for a person who’s spouse is just now proud of America and thinks my soul needs healed. I also want to enjoy what I eat, drive where and whatever type of vehical I want and keep my house at whatever temp I am comfortable with without my President saying it is wrong.
Hillary is my first choice for many reasons the first was UHC, since my son has congenital heart defects and a preexisting condition this is what made me look at her in the beginning as time has gone on I have been more and more impressed with her, BUT If Hillary is not a choice then my second choice is Mccain, say what you will be he and Cindy LOVE America, my 3rd choice would be to stay home. but I will never vote for Obama and my husband won’t either.

  • RppPolyp

Well, explain to me how it isn’t that… drop the damn angry stuff…

Why is there anger period? I have not called you anything… if you read that phrase… which was liberally lifted from the Simpsons BTW, you see I am describing the act going on here. You also assume I have a big-eared goose… I have no such waterfowl to support. I supported a big-eared Keilbasa from Cleveland.

Explain to me the anger… I understand the Florida and Michigan anger… I can understand if you think the media is biased anger. Hey I had a dill-weed media smear MY candidate because he was short, had a hot wife (no one OF YOU CRIED sexism when all they could ask her about was her tongue stud,) wouldn’t even cover his kicking ass in AFLCIO and other union-sponsored debates.

    FINE…

I just don’t get this kneejerk jump to someone who would be an opponent to the candidate you were supporting.

Go ahead.. explain how one makes the jump from Clinton to McCain…
The trick is: not allowed to us “Barack,” “Hussein,” or “Obama” in your answer

  • Al

Great idea. That should send a message.

  • http://mmb silver fox

the insidiousness of this primary campaign has fractured the Dem party beyond repair. what the party “leadership” has accomplished for the woman with the most votes and the actual number of registered democrats behind her is…NOTHING. corrupt dems in the bag for obama from day one. not for me this faux democracy and pack of good ole boyos and their slick gang. it’s Sen Clinton as the Dem candidate or i work for the election of Sen. McCain. never thought it would ever come to this. but there you have it. my deepest apologies to Sen Clinton. my choice however is not based on blind loyalty to a party that doesn’t include me or my people. loyalty goes both ways. that’s good old working class/class ally values my friends. down with barak. an emoty suit in a trojan horse. we are not amused. and we are not fooled.

  • RppPolyp

Please point out my sexism… or I will one up you with a baseless charge of racism… because both would be equally baseless. Maybe they’ll cancel each other out.

This proof of my sexism is where in what I wrote above?

If it’s the usage C-word, which may be the case, may I stress to you that I am relaying what McCain is said to have called his wife. Now if that word offends, and one is now saying that to spite Obama they will vote for a man alleged to have used such a phrase… who’s condoning sexism?

And what does my sex have to do with it?

  • maggie

  • Ted

Reading a number of the vitriolic comments here, I see that Sen. Obama represents the enemy, in their minds, simply for the twin evils of 1) Being male and 2) Defeating Sen. Clinton according to the rules agreed to by all candidates before the primaries began.

Sen. Clinton’s loss was not caused by sexism, but by her own failings as a campaign planner and her difficulties with telling the truth. In the end, neither failing was overlooked by the majority of Democratic voters.

  • RppPolyp

See below Hillary or Busts comments, fly…

It’s still childish, fly. None of your list above justifies it… whether your list is true or not. I don’t care about friends, I’m focusing on the name, and the ugly ass reason some folks are using it as a slur.

The “57 states” thing was a nice non-sequitor. I think it’s awesome that Dark Side of the Moon synchs up to the Wizard of Oz as well. Ice Cream hurts my teeth also.

It’s like: “I like my Guinness served warm, the bar doesn’t serve it warm so I’m going to drink Natty Lite, the exact opposite of the quality I was looking for in a beer just to spite my stomach.”

Shit, now I’m gonna get called an elitist cuz I slammed Natural lite.

  • PA Voter

Yes, count me and 2 others in my family in as well. It has nothing to do with sexism or racism, it’s Obama’s associations that go deeper than what we’ve even gotten a glimpse of thus far that show his dramatic lack of character and judgment to lead our nation. Our family wants an experienced, well-respected, accomplished leader with a solid resume in the White House… and that’s not Obama.

Thanks for the forum, NoQuarter! I am a registered democrat of 24 years. During the Party is Over Week (Jun 1 through 8) I will change my registration to Independent (in the hopes of voting for Clinton in Nov.) and mail a copy of the paperwork to the DNC. If Clinton is on the ticket as president, if Obama is not on the ticket in any capacity, and if the delegates from Fl and Mi are seated in accordance with the votes from these states, I will vote democrat. If ANY of these conditions are NOT met, I will vote McCain. I will also vote exclusively Republican down ticket, excepting stated Clinton supporters. I like Nader and Ron Paul better, but they can’t beat Obama, and I recognize that only if Obama is defeated will the DNC (non)leadership that created this disaster be made to resign. The loyalty that I felt for my party is dead. When my party decided that not all democrats get to vote, that not all candidates deserve the same treatment, they lost me. I am not going to lay down and take one for the Team.

My right to vote is my best protection for Roe v Wade.
More, the events you dexcribe require acts of Congress. They are not so readily accomplished as you imply.
Obama has already interfered in a foreign government’s election re Kenya & Odinga. He has spoken of bombing Pakistan. Is this better or different from what you accuse McCain?

The apparent edict for today’s Obama operatives is “try to frighten them with Supreme Court Justices and Roe v. Wade”. Sorry, it’s just not gonna fly. I lost interest in that way back when the tacky Obamaphytes showed their misogynistic tendencies and decided that any female who would support a man whose rowdy, crass, belligerent followers spout “iron my shirt” and all of the other items listed above (by Uppity), should have to earn back the privilege of choice. If female Obama supporters are giving it up for the man…then let them own it.

I can’t help noticing that you didn’t bother to address any of the points of my post. From your response, I can only guess it is easier for you to believe in attacking Internet trolls or media conspiracies, than to own up to the fact that Sen. Clinton ran a disappointing and strategically flawed campaign.

  • A

    Nobama! Never, never, never.

  • Who does she think she is, Annie Oakley?

Yes we are, “pissed off in ways you cannot believe.” I’ve been changed. It’s been transformational. I thought team BHO wanted that.

They don’t get it. They continue to insult us, as if one more put-down would make us see the Obama light.

I’ve moved on. I still remember my turning point, and it was Obama, the great unifying hopifier that moved me. I can’t turn back the clock. I don’t want to go back.

Oh, and I sign the pledge. And, I saved my husband from the Obama pod people. He’s one of us now. It’s contagious, you know.

  • http://humorhasit.blogspot.com Shez

I’m Native American Chippewa, from MICHIGAN. I shouldn’t even have to say another word from that fact alone.

Obama thought he’d game my state, but gaming only belongs in our casinos. My vote isn’t a game, any more than our country or the presidency is. I’m not going to gamble or take a foolish chance on Obama.

I will NEVER vote for Obama. Period. If he’s anywhere near the ticket I will not vote for it and I don’t care who is on it. I’m not riding any Unctuous Unity Unicorn.

I will vote against the DNC. Both Howard Dean and Donna Brazile need to be shitcanned sooner not later. The jig is up.

I will vote against anyone on the ballot who was stupid enough to have such horribly poor judgment to blindly back Obama much less to fall for his bullshit. I will vote against all people that run in the future that backed Obama. It will become the new standard and standard question in all future elections for my vote.

I will NEVER vote for Obama, Edwards, Richardson, or Biden, who played unAmerican undemocratic games and removed their names from our MI ballot this year turning our primary into the biggest nightmare I’ve ever seen.

I will NEVER vote for any asshole that had the unmitigated gall to try to bully Hillary out of the race when they didn’t hold those same standards to any man, ever in election history. They didn’t speak up, they squeaked up like little mice. Weak cowards one and all and that’s exactly what you exposed yourselves as. That goes for every pip squeak shreiking and squealing for her to get out, you’re pathetic too. Real brave of you, real courageous of you, real above board of you. Not.

    None of you are trustworthy.

You’re all Melba. Toast. The DNC, the Edbama Tag Team, the Blogger Blozos, and all the other jokers can kiss my ass you’re so toast. None of you will escape your karma.

  • TeakWoodKite

one of Obama’s speechwriters is Ben Rhodes, the brother of Fox News VP David Rhodes. (Marisa Guthrie, of BC Beat, reported this connection

Made that pledge last year but it bears repeating.
I will not vote for BO.

  • chloe

I will never vote for Barack I think he is so arrogant and dishonest. I have trouble w/the company he keeps. When his wife said that her husband needed to save our souls before he could save our country I got chills down my spine. My soul is just fine thank you very much. I don’t want a preacher for President, period. I believe that every vote should be counted and am deeply troubled by the DNC’ failure to do so w/ Michigan and Florida they are crazy to think this won’t matter in the Fall, I believe everyone should be part of the process. I will be going to a rally in Wash DC may 31st to tell the DNC how i feel. I am not a healthy woman but I feel that this is too important to be silent.

  • goldengrahme

This is for all the nearsighted ‘Bamabots:

No vote; no way; no how.

Hillary is the only viable candidate still
in this race. We don’t need saints, we need
leadership. The Messiah coat of many colors
is wearing thin; Barack’s pretensions are being
    unmasked.

  • John

There is no way that I will vote for Obama. He has bullied, lied, and cheated his way to this point and I do not believe in what he stands for. I will vote for McCain instead as will many of the other people I know. I cannot with conscience vote for Obama. If the media, or Obama’s camp who paid for all the negative ads he ran against Clinton and McCain manage to brainwash or intimidate people into supporting him, I will become a Republican and never look back.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the Obama campaign.

  • michelesmouse

I will never vote for Obama. I have been a loyal Dem. since I first started to vote. This is the first time I will be willing to cross party lines to vote. I am so ashamed and dissapointed with the Dem. party for how they have handled this primary season. What has happenned in this political race is an embarassment to democracy and everything our great country stands for.
    Hillary all the way!

  • http://OTliesvideo Lyn

I’ve never been impressed with the people Obama chose to surround himself. Wright, Rezko, Ayers Michelle, why do you think i would trust his judgement to pick good people to work under him?

Question… why would you hav eto change your party affiliation to vote for Sen. Clinton in Nov.? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

  • TeakWoodKite

NOPE. I do not want a criminal to occupy any federal building.

  • TeakWoodKite

57 is also the minimum number of electoral votes he would loose by come November.

NObama, never, I will not vote for this liar, this arrogant, condescending empty piece of fluff that the DNC has been trying to shove down our throats because they’re afraid of Hillary and Bill. They know the Clintons will not dole out favors and cannot be manipulated. They have the perfect puppet in Obama. I will vote for McCain if Hillary cannot make the super delegates see that she is the better candidate for the nomination. The way BO got his caucus delegates via numerous election frauds and bullying is a disgrace to America. How else to explain, (just one example) Hillary wins the TX primary, where it’s one vote per person, only to have BO gain MORE delegates during the facaca caucuses that night??? Ridiculous!

    Suck your balls…also sexist.
As far as what McCain supposedly said about his wife…did you hear it? NO

“I got 99 reason and his skin ‘aint one”!!!

  • anthony

  • PDMM

So Ted, are you voting like American Idol? Whoever ran the best campaign gets your vote? How about voting based on who the person is? Hillary is passionate about the issues. She is the one for true healthcare for everyone. Obama’s would leave out $15million people! Hillary has solid plans for the economy, BO is still fuzzy about where the economy IS let alone what to do with it. OH and he’s going to play footsie with terrorist leaders to “get them to drink his brand of kool aid and be all kumbaya” yeah, right. BO lacks decisiveness, character, tenacity and ideas. Oh, wait, he did have some ideas… the ones he stole from Hillary. The kicker came for me the night an ABC reporter asked him pointblank if he knew about the Rev. Wright and his hellish sermons. BO looked right at the reporter and without batting an eyelash said no. Next question, and you never knew he held those beliefs? Answer, no. First off, I didn’t believe him one bit. He sat there for 20 years. If he has owned up to knowing about that I would have had some respect for him. As it was he lies too easily. Then 3 days later in his so-called great speech on race relations he basically told us he knew about Wright’s views. So he admitted he lied in an off-handed way. That’s your candidate.

  • mimi

Yeah!!! I found a home for anti-Obama folks!!!

Now who is the genius who would put the weaker candidate against McCain!!!

  • cc

I am an unapologetic supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton. I believe wholeheartedly in her ability to lead this nation with grace, courage and strength. I will NEVER, ever vote for BHO. I will vote straight republican ticket in November before ever supporting a fraud and racist like Obama.

    New Page 1

    @ Musical Notes

The ‘real democrats’? I hope there are enough of
you to win in November without the ‘plain Jane’  democrats that are posting
here. Thanks for letting us know what we stand for.
Where would we be without your wisdom and hope?

    Posting a moveon.org link… Hmmmm…  Are they
    the ‘real democrats’?
    Moveon.org is yet another
lobbyist that employs  tactics they claim to abhor. Their ‘real’ alright.

’Real’ Democrats will sit this election out before electing a two year
junior senator as commander in chief. We want ‘real’ solutions and ‘real’
answers – something Barack has never offered.  As a great patriot once said

     ’hope
    is not a strategy.’

    In Obama’s own words:

    From Dreams of My Father:
I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began
to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’

    From Dreams of My Father:
I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and
    animosity against my mothers race.’

From Dreams of My Father:There was
something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And
    white.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘It remained necessary
to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to
    strike out and name names.’

    From Dreams of My Father:
I never emulate white men and brown men
whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black
man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the
attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’

    From Audacity of Hope:I
will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly
    direction.’

This guy  has a lot to learn about life, sacrifice and leadership
     for all American’s -
not just people like you (the ‘real’ democrats).

Obama will not be able to withstand the Republican machine leading up to the
election — nor will Mrs. Obama. They’ve both spoken against the country they
claim to want to serve and clearly hold a large number of American’s in contempt
solely because of the color of their skin.

    Hillary 2008~!

  • xdcc

Not under any circumstance whatsoever will I ever vote for Obama. I don’t care who becomes his VP or what Hillary decides to do. Not only will I NOT vote for him, I will actively campaign against him, donate to and vote for the strongest alternative.

I will NEVER vote for Obama.

  • Susanclare

    From Audacity of Hope: ‘I
will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly

    Now, that is revealing.

    Thanks for the quotes.

  • jaxon

I take the pledge. I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore!

  • Dee in FL

This life-long Democrat pledges that I will not vote for Obama in November. The Democratic Party has lost me as a member. Hear that Dean and the stinking media.

  • Tricia

Is this book on tape in his own words this would be great. I think FOX would put it on

  • Ulahane

Yes he reads both his books, but the audio versions are abridged so I don’t know if this quote is in it.

  • RppPolyp

No, uh uh. I call BS, you said YOU being ME “are proof of sexism are speaking out against.” Where in what I said was sexist under my Nadarite thread… unless you mean beebop.

Beebop did the ‘suck my balls” bit… not me. He might have been replying to me making the interesting Naderite observation.

And for McCain’s comment about his wife, I trust the person who wrote the book on his temper…

As for the middle finger, the “99 bitches line” and brushing off his shoulders… say what. If you saw this, say where and tell me why no one else has said this and why none of those three are on youtube. Hell he can’t do a speech in San Fran w/o the audio getting out…

I’m NOT saying it did or did not happen, but given your logic, I didn’t see it… so should I say NO since I didn’t see that tree falling in the woods.

Still, point remains, nothing I said was sexist, and you’ve yet to say ANYTHING to what I said that justifies your calling me a sexist.

  • IronMan

Funny thing is….none of you were ever going to vote for him in the first place. So you will find some excuse: you’ll call him sexist, racist, unqualified; you’ll rail about what he did to HRC. But I seem to remember that “kitchen sink” thing. Remember, “McCain has experience, I have experience, my opponent has made speeches”? Or perhaps the utterly condescending, “we don’t know if he’ll pass the national security test to be vice president”? Maybe the Muslim thing, “not as far as I know”. These were her words, not the words of some surrogate. Nor her failure to speak out against some treatment he received. She went on the attack, violating the time honored tradition not to give ammo to the other party in the primary.

If we’re gonna blow up the whole ball game, we might as well be honest about who really started it. And it got started because she was unexpectedly far behind and needed desperate measures to catch up. So stop acting wounded. You know he’s qualified, you know he’s smart, you know he’s a democrat. What you can’t come to grips with is that he won against the machine.

Is there one truthful witness out there?

  • GetOverIt

Let’s stop this nonsense. At the end of the day, Democrats need to vote for the party. If he becomes president, Obama won’t run the country alone. He’ll have the whole Democratic establishment (including the Clintons) to work with. After 8 years of Bush, we can’t afford for this country to have 4 more years of Republicans.

Sexism, racism etc had very little to do with HRC losing. She had every advantage, and ran a bad campaign. How can she have had no plan in place after Super Tuesday and let him win all those states for a month straight.

  • jim

She actually ran a great campaign. Unfortunately she got robbed by the radicals in the caucus states, robbed by John Dean denying the vote to Florida and Michigan, and robbed by racist voting patterns in SC.

Unfortunately, Obama will lose to McCain in November. And it won’t be the fault of the Clintons. It will be the fault of idiots like B-Rob upthread, and guys like you saying she ran a bad campaign.

  • jim

No truthful witnesses in the Obama camp, that is for sure.

  • Eileen

I will never vote for Obama. If Hillary does not get the nomination, then I’m voting McCain.

The DNC has highjacked the Democratic party, wherein Dean, Pelosi and Reid (with help from Brazile), instead of promoting both candidates, have shoved Obama down our throats for THEIR own benefit and agenda and their early and continual calls for Hillary to quit are simply undemocratic! The main stream media has been complicit in the most biased, sexist, race-baiting attacks against Senator Clinton while simultaneously giving Obama a free pass on any vetting. They left Hillary exposed to media bias and misogyny the likes of which the democrat elections have NEVER seen. That’s the same DNC that is disenfranchising FL and MI! It’s all politics, not apparently the democrats that are voting that counts in the DNC.

The job of President of the United States is not an entry level position, Obama is inexperienced, naïve to foreign policy, has shady associations with crooks, terrorists (unrepentant Ayers!), etc. His slim resume as a Senator is atrocious. He admitted during the early debates to never holding one meeting as head of the Oversight Committee on Afghanistan because that is “when he started campaigning”! No way, no how, will I ever vote for Obama.

If Hillary does not get the nomination, I will change parties (first time ever) and never look back to the Democrats as my party, they DO NOT REPRESENT ME!

  • hwddawg

Heard all the Obamabot reasons for why they feel Hillary lost the election and have been over it with them time and time again.. You can point out the obvious to them and they just change the subject and spin off in another direction.

The plain truth of it for me at this point is the DNC and the Obamabots didn’t give a rats ass about me and my candidate in all that time, and I sure as hell want to return the favor. I will never vote for Obama, and if it looks like he has a chance in hell in winning I will vote for McCain in a heart beat.

None of them cared at any point as to why Hillary was the better candidate, so now they get to experience a little of their own meds. We don’t give a flying fuck what they feel about our reasons for who we vote for and why.

I’ve been a registered Dem since 1978 and now the Democratic party and ” the new direction” they’ve decided to take, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If being a Dem means I have to be an Obamabot I’ll pass.

Voted for Jesse twice in the primaries in Cali when he ran, and never thought I’d vote for a Republican over a black Dem candidate, but with Obama and his bots, the choice is easy. I am now registered as an Independent and the only way I’ll vote for a Dem is if it’s Hillary. The only other Dem I’ll vote for is one that didn’t support Obummer.

    Hillary 08

    Iron man,
You imply that Hillary should be the one campaigning for and explaining for Obama. He IS Muslim, legally. He IS sexist, racist, and condescending, by his own actions. There are numerous examples of each. It is by no means, Hillary who should defend this wreckless danger to our country. The obamabots and the DNC need to believe those that say THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM. Many of us have been lifelong Democrats, understand that! It is not a party loyalty question any longer..it is the fact that Obama is the worst candidate for the presidency in American history! HE has caused the downfall of the party.

But I say this to them…I’ve waited all my life to be treated with respect as a woman, and I can wait 4 more years if need be.
Frankly the democratic party can go to hell as far as I’m concerned for their apathy on this issue and it showed so overwhelming in this election.

Nobody asked that you like Hillary but at the very least treat her with some “GOD DAMN RESPECT”

I pledge not to vote for BHO

  • ShellyT

The emphasized use of his middle name implies that there is something wrong with having that name — there isn’t! It’s bigoted to imply that a common name like that means anything bad.

As for not supporting Obama — I am not going to jeopardize the future of this country and the world by voting for a Republican. We need a Democrat in office and Hillary would be the first to agree with that. This pledge ignores the disaster McCain would be as president. Let Hillary win on her own merits, not because of threats!

  • beebop

Free country? Vote for who you want. Just respect that people vote for lots of reasons. Just most of us here will never ever ever cast a ballot with BHO’s name on it …. and by the way …. we didn’t name him … ‘k? ;)

  • Destardi

Should Barack Obama have stood up at the beginning of “racist” insinuations thrown against Bill and Hillary Clinton, should Obama have shown fairness, and true Leadership, and declared that “Bill and Hillary Clinton are in no way racist” that would have gone a long way in my saying “I’ll vote for either candidate.”

Obama didn’t, he failed big time. Look at the state of the Dem party.

I pledge to NEVER vote for Barack obama.

  • beebop

He needed those allegations to win South Carolina. He had to have his campaign make those allegations to ensure that — as Michelle so clearly stated it “black voters will wake up and get it.” And they got it. In time for Iowa and South Carolina. Timing, eh?

  • corage

I pledge that I will not vote for Barack Hussein Obama for president if he were to become the nominee of the democratic party.

  • Hillgirl

Add me to the list–I will not, in all good conscience, vote for a man who is unqualified for the job of president, who will , due to this lack of knowledge and experience, place our country in a more vulnerable domestic and international position and threaten our national security. I have resigned from the Democratic Party because I do not sanction the manner in which this election season was run. If the DNC does not need my vote, as I was told, then I am more than happy to oblige. I will vote for McCain.

  • esther

HE DIDN’T WIN ANY STATE; (except for a few elites by a slim margin)the UNDEMOCRATIC CAUCUS vote gave him delegates. If you were to count the popular vote she wins! Too bad the democratic party uses such an undemocratic method to select a presidential candidate. PS FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY she should pull a Lieberman and run as an independent. We need experience in the office not a Kennedy wanna a be, God rest his soul. I WILL NOT VOTE for him or any other democrat now that I see how they treat women. And to think I thought the republican party was bad.

  • s martinez

My sentiments also…I also have resigned from the Democratic Party after 40 years. I have resigned from the Democratic Party because I do not sanction the manner in which this election season was run. • nhkat

I will never vote for Obama, nor will my husband or my daughter.

  • Ted

So… let me see if I can summarize: Clinton deserves the nomination just for being “who she is”. Delegates? Caucuses? Rules? Nope, those don’t matter; she’s a wonderful person, so let’s just give it to her.

Heck yeah, whoever runs the best campaign should get the most votes/delegates! Isn’t that the idea in a democratic process? (I will concede the point that due to lack of money, good candidates often don’t have the chance to run a good race. But neither Clinton or Obama had that problem here.)

Though obviously not perfect, the campaigns are the closest thing we have to a truth test for the candidates’ claims of leadership.

  • http://www.arguewitheveryone.com ChrisXP

So… let me see if I can summarize: Clinton deserves the nomination just for being “who she is”. Delegates? Caucuses? Rules? Nope, those don’t matter; she’s a wonderful person, so let’s just give it to her.

Hmmmmm, sounds like the 2000 election. Is Obama now working for the GOP?

These Obamatics step in it every time!

  • Wyoming Dem

No nonsense and NO VOTE for Obama. Ever. The woman behind Senator Clinton (and many men as well) will not fall in behind the “nominee”. What freakin planet does the DNC live on? How can the DNC even think of nominating this scurulous, criminally associated JUNIOR senator??? I don’t know what else we can say except again, we will not vote for Obama.

  • AJM

We’ve watched McCain alot of us since before you were probably born. He is able to put the interests of the country before his own political advantage. Obama does not. Obama’s phony charges of racism are a case in point. There will be enough Democrats in office to blunt the worst of McCain. And if you think that someone who can’t figure out Rev. Wright in twenty years is going to make decent appointments to the Supreme Court think again.

I pledged I will vote never vote for Obama and will vote for McCain to cost him twice. By the way — I’m from Michigan. Take a good look at FiveThirtyEight.com if you are really interested in beating McCain. You can’t do it with Obama — his manner of campaigning has made too many people too angry.

  • AJM

No– Obama prides himself on having a variety of advisors but lacks the wits to sort out the wheat from the chaff — see coal slurry, nuclear leaks, dissing Pakistani sovereignity, wanting to vote for John Roberts until it was pointed out that this would be a political handicap (lovely, anti-Roberts speech on the floor but it didn’t represent Obama’s instincts), can’t figure out Rev. Wright and is the last man in Chicago to discover that Rezko is a crook. I forgot to mention that Obama chaired the committee in the Illinois Legislature that reduced the number of seats on the commission that did the kickbacks for Rezko — reducing the number made it easier for Rezko and Blagovich to control it.

  • AJM

Look, we’re planning to vote present. Most of us believe that McCain has a much better handle on who the religious right is than does Obama. Obama will choose nomminees who can get prollife votes in order to ‘bring us together.’ I’ve read the Audacity book which is filled with apologies for hurting the feelings of Right to Life and has no defense of choice. You have to wonder why Bob Casey endorsed Obama. I hope it does wonders to shorten Casey’s career.

Sweetie, do you mind if I call you boy?

Some words are tells about the underlying attitudes: both Hillary and Obama have spouses who were chased by interns trying to seduce them: Michelle married that intern. Here is Obama on Michelle’s career plans “Oh, Michelle was full of plans that day, on the fast track, with no tme, she told me, for distractions — especially men.”
He talked her into violating their law firms policy at the risk of her future career.

I tried to give love a pass on this until the sweetie comment.

  • AJM

    Read the exit polls.

  • AJM

Look if we vote for McCain we confine the rot to the Republicans; if we vote for Obama we allow it to sspread to the Democrats. Obama did not rebuke Jesse Jackson, Jr. when he claimed that Hillary did .not care about Katrina.

  • AJM

Obama will give you the same things McCain will at the same time corrupting the Democratic Party: see the NY Times article on Obama’s lies about Nuclear Leak legislation; check out the fact that he helped reduce the size of the commission that did the kickbacks for Rezko.

  • Karma

    Two pledges here….

And I went to Hillary’s site and informed the DNC through her site, that my husband and I will not support the installed Obama in the general.

  • Florida4Hillary

Agree with all your points, and would add the following:

    11. Media spin early on about Obama winning Iowa ignored the fact that 2/3 of Iowa caucus-goers actually voted against Obama. That pattern would repeat in subsequent contests, where Hillary’s wins were ignored while Obama’s “strong showing” was always the story.

    12. For a candidate so inexperienced politically; so new to the national scene; so unable to speak coherently or extemporaneously without a memorized script or a teleprompter; so much a blank slate out of his depth among candidates of substance like Clinton, Biden, and Dodd – how on earth did Obama organize a 50-state political machine and fund-raising juggernaut all by himself?? –
ANSWER: Obama was hand-picked by Howard Dean (Dean for America became Democracy for America became Obama for America) to be the beneficiary of Dean’s 50-state DNC organizing strategy. The DNC Chair and his faithful sidekick Donna Brazile have been “in the tank” for Obama all along. Anyone who has contributed money to the DNC to help Dean organize his 50-state campaign team has been played for a fool, and should demand his/her money back.

  • Lynn

I will not vote for BO, should he be the Democratic nominee. Never, in my worst imagination did I ever dream that the best choice for President would be a Republican. I agree with millions of other people that, Sen. Obama represents a security risk to this country. It is beyond unreasonable that this candidate has not been appropriately vetted by the DNC and that millions of votes are not being counted in the primary election; it is criminal. After weeks of reading detailed information about Sen. Obama’s antisocial and corrupt behavior and how people worship him because of that, I am convinced that we are witnessing a “cult of personality” movement. History teaches us that extremists of all persuasions are usually the ones who usher in the most horrific periods of violence and oppression. I would like to see a viable and moderate third party emerge from this turbulent and corrupt era.

The DNC needs to pay attention when people like me start leaving. I am from a family that has voted for the Democratic Party for 4 generations. We have members that fought for the first labor unions and women’s rights. We have lost a young person to almost every war this country has fought. We are not a “military” family just an average, white, working class family that has done the right thing. -You know, those stupid, bitter white people with a work ethic and values. Democracy requires a blood price and we have willingly paid that price time and again. We have not sacrificed in vain and we are furious that “minimal Americans” “those who have not” by virtue of social class or ethnic privilege think they will usurp our free Republic for their own personal gain.

I will not vote for Barak Hussein Obama. And my husband says to include him in our pledge together. We vote for Hillary Clinton or John McCain. No other choice.

And that extends down ticket for me: I will NOT vote for any candidate who has supported him (starting with my city Assemblyperson, Kelvin Atkinson [who ironically is from Chicago]).

I will not vote for Obama in November should he be the Democratic nominee.

A vote for Obama would effectively be rewarding the DNC leadership (Brazile, Dean, Pelosi, etc), the Obama campaign his reactionary supporters and bloggers and the MSM for their despicable and unexcusable behavior across the board.

  • http://www.marcysmutiny.blogspot.com/ MessyMarcy

I pledge never to vote for Obama — ever. Not now, not in November, not ever.

My husband also will not vote for him. Neither will my sister, but she has probably already said that on here somewhere.

And for those trying to make the argument that McCain has called Chelsea and Hillary names — anything McCain has said pales in comparison to the stuff coming out of Obamanation. So, if the qualified, competent Hillary Clinton does not get the nomination, I will choose the less objectionable McCain over the total loser George W. Obama.

  • bart

I will just repeat what another poster so succinctly said:

“I will not vote for OB for the following reasons:

Don’t like his sexism, arrogance, and race baiting
    Don’t like his friends
Don’t like his church or his pastor
    Don’t like his wife
Don’t trust him to answer the phone at 3:00 am
Can’t vote for a marketing façade with no substantial qualifications for the Presidency

I will vote for McCain because he is not as offensive in any criteria

A vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary in 2012″

I’ll add that at least McCain has experience, has sacrificed for his country and has bucked his own party. I think he has learned what suffering is and has come through. I can respect the man and fight against him if need be.

  • Bev Prothro

I refuse to vote for oBLAHma, never, nein, nope, no way! I have lots of reasons which you all are already aware, so I will not go into them. I can say I REALLY mean it! I have had enough BS!

I also pledge not to vote for Obama in the general. If he gets the nomination the way he has (and also, the inverse; the way he has NOT closed the deal) then he deserves to lose, because I cannot countenance such a man as the leader of our party.

All the way to the convention Hillary. The party belongs to the people who espouse its principles!

  • Dakinikat

Association attacks, well no, how about his Marxist teachings from school, going to Marxist lectures in New York, joining a Marxist driven community organizing foundation, laying claim to having a surrogate grandfather who was a CPUSA memeber, directing funding to the most socialist left wing organizations while sitting on the Woods Fund, funding anti gun control groups while sitting on the Joyce Fund and never devulging the other foundations he was a part of, one since 1985 which has had TUCc sitting on its board?

These are personal choices, just as Michelle ,ade the choices to have Ayers and obama in joint conferences while she was head of the Department at U of C, associations, no choices, yes and not once did Obama stand up for America, instead he blamed America!

  • swingstatedem

If Obama gets the nomination, I will not vote for him. He was never qualified and he still isn’t.

I have always voted for the Democrats. Not this time. I will vote for John McCain if Obama is the Nominee. I will vote for Democrats down ticket but not for the unqualifed ONE. I will not vote for the Red State Caucus Man. I know of several others who feel the same as me.

  • mary

I pledge not to vote for Obama if he is the nominee. I will vote McCain.

  • Gordon H Webb

I’ve done signed this but I just wanted add a few names of people in my family that are also Democrats that will not support Obama and will be voting McCain in the fall. TO highlight how big a deal this is, let me just say local Democrats have been coming to my father every election year asking him for his support. Now he’s no Union head but he does have some sway locally. This will be the firstt year of his 67 year old life that he hasn’t voted Democrat. I knew I didn’t like Barack Obama but figured my father would be one of those who “fell in line” But today I asked every member of my family what there voting intentions were and they all said the same thing, “no to Obama yes to McCain” I think this should be very telling to all Democrats and the media who thinks that this isn’t real and that we will all just cool down after a few months. The media doesn’t realize that we don’t always vote for “policy” and character and personality play a huge role in most people’s voting. If Hillary can’t pull this out and Obama is the nominee….every member of my large “democratic” family will be maxing out donations for John McCain. I urge you to do the same.

  • Clara Barton

I will not vote for Barack Obama under any circumstances. Howard Dean needs to go, but I fear that given half a chance, Obama will insert his own DNC person and we’ll have to deal with him/her. Any superdelegate that supports him will not receive my support in the future either.

I pledge not to vote for any inexperienced divisive candidate who has not proved himself (or herself) in the political arena. • sassysenora

    I will never support Obama.

The Democratic Party has betrayed its core principles: the right to vote (and have it count); equal representation; equality and respect for all, regardless of their race, gender, education, or socioeconomic status; and fairness. This election has exposed the Democratic Party for what it really is: craven, hypocritical, unprincipled, corrupt, money-hungry elites who despise women and the working and middle classes. It is rotten at the top and if those of us who had loved the party until this election don’t demand that its leaders follow the principles they espouse, it will be rotten at its core as well. I – and millions of others – will hold you to your principles or we will leave.

We want change that we truly can believe in. Not the change you’re apparently marketing
: abandoning our ideals and ignoring the most fundamental, bedrock principle of democracy – one person, one vote.

Barak Obama has lost my respect by his dismissive, misogynistic attacks against Hillary Clinton (and, by extension, all women). He has lost my respect by putting expediency over principle (and our most cherished, fundamental values) by blocking revotes in MI and FL. He has lost my respect by his hypocrasy in repeatedly attacking Bill Clinton for things he said on the campaign trail then saying “lay off my wife” when people criticized his spouse for things she said on the campaign trail. He lost my respect by his hypocrisy in belittling Hillary’s role in the White House by saying that her foreign policy experience was limited to drinking tea in ambassadors’ homes and claiming that she had no real experience before becoming a Senator while simultaneously holding her responsible for all of Bill’s mistakes. He lost my respect by claiming to be the uniter while dismissing uneducated voters and women (yet claiming that Hillary was the divisive one). I will never vote for Barak Obama.

    Andy I’m with you.

The despicable sexism and rancid behavior of DailyKos’ Obama supporters along with Huffpo and the rest of the MoveOn’s and leftist anti Hillary blogs/supporters have allowed me to see a side of Camp Obama and his ilk that I entirely reject. The lack of tolerance and outright hatred expressed towards Hillary and supporters has assured me that I am no longer welcome in the Democratic Party.

Obama wil beg,eat crow, croon, keen, speechify, wheedle, and do anything he has to {“sweetie”]and make nice now that the Clinton base has been villified, insulted and trashed.

He will need to get them back and is arrogant enough to think he can. Lets hope he’s wrong. In Florida he is currently working on the Jewish vote and trying to assure Jews that Farrakhan and Wright had no afect on him, or his Pro Palestinian friends at Columbia and Harvard. He is suddenly a Black Jew.

It is too late for Camp Obama to convince most of us as we see what they are all about when questioned or challenged. When a candidate is investigated and held to a high standard of explanation of their backstory, especially a rookie like Obama, it’s labelled racist. How cheap.

But the insults, rebuffs, and superiority remain a powerful reminder as to why it is impossible for me as a Democrat to vote for or endorse Obama and I will do all in my power to convince others to abstain from voting for Obama and his corrupt hacks in the Party who control Obama and the agenda.

    Obama No in 2008.

The DNC should be ashamed of themselves for denying Florida and Michigan’s vote to be counted. If they don’t count them they better change the name of the Democratic Party because they are anything but democratic.
The press should be asamed of themselves for their being in the tank for Obama the entire election period. They are not journalists and bring only shame to their profession.

  • PITA

The worst people have on Obama is his rotten self serving character and his history of inaction on the part of his constituents. His votes were always calcualted to promote his next step up the ladder.

I won’t vote for the sexist pig. He’s a sexual bigot. The creep is a walking hate crime.

This is by far the most childish thing I’ve seen on the internet. Adults don’t make decisions because they didn’t get their way. They make them based on what’s in their best interest and what’s in the interest of the things they care about. A vote for McCain equals an ultra-conservative majority in the Supreme Court for the indefinite future. It means a visionless leader with no realistic plan for the mid-east. It means tax cuts for the rich, NO HEALTH CARE, corporate give-aways, on and on and on.

You guys are calling yourselves progressives or Democrats and taking this pledge? GROW UP.

The party expects us to just fall in line. We will work to make sure that the Congress is full of people who will stand up for what we need. Obama’s record shows us that he won’t stand up for us. There is not much record to go on but what is there is shameful.

Actually, Obama is more like my 7th choice, because Ralph Nader, Bob Barr, and a few write-in candidates are better than him.

Obama has not read up on basic history. He plays “99 Problems and a BITCH Ain’t One” at his campaign rallies, and he is so thin-skinned following the last debate, for which he was alarmingly unprepared, he flipped Hillary the bird at a campaign rally.

As a woman, I am scared to have a president that encourages this kind of behavior by exhibiting it in public. Roe v. For your continued education John (Obama Troll):
HERE IS MY STATEMENT TO THOSE THINKING OF WRITING IN HILLARY – IF SHE ISN’T THE NOMINEE AND DOESN’T RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT:
You are giving the election to Barack Obama. You might as well just vote for him.
Elections are won by getting the most votes.
Elections are not won by preventing the most votes.
The only candidate likely to win an election is either the Democrat or the Republican.
If you do not want a particular person in you must vote AGAINST THAT PERSON regardless of how you feel about the opposition.
To do otherwise just lowers the Final Total needed to win.
If McCain fails to receive enough votes because folks stayed home or wrote in someone that can only get 10M (of the 61M needed to win), you have just made it much easier for Obama to win the election.
Without Hillary running OFFICIALLY she will never get enough votes to win.
Obama will split her votes without losing ANY of his base voters. Fewer votes cast for McCain means less votes Obama needs to win.
You are playing right into Obama’s hands by writing in people, or staying home.
The most votes RECEIVED wins the election. Period.

Please go to McCain’s web site, or read articles about him – try to find something in his platform that appeals to you so that you won’t feel like you’re selling your soul (yes, that very soul which MO claims BO will heal for you – insert emoticon of disgust here…) I was very surprised to find three or four issues on which I actually agree with McCain, or he with me, so if push comes to shove McCain’s got my vote with a clean conscience.

Yeah, we people are as funny as a heart attack. The one you’ll have when you see how serious voters are about REJECTING Barack Hussein Obama, come November.
No no no, not God Bless Obama, God Damn Obama. Its in the Bible! LMFAO!

I pledge never, ever to vote for the sexist, baiting, unqualified candidate who has shown enormous lack of respect to a 2 term President, women, majorities, many minorities. A man with a level of poor judgment the likes of which I have not seen since Ms. Pamela Anderson married the guy who made amateur porn with Paris Hilton and was so good as to share it with the world.

His associations, every bit as horrifying but they have no entertainment value. For the good of America and the world:

I pledge I will never, ever vote for Barry Obama.

Never will I vote for Obama. Nor McCain. I would like to write in Hillary, except I’m in NM and last time they had the “undervote” problem, with many ballots with no votes for President, but votes downticket.
I think they tossed those ballots, so I’m afraid to write in!!

  • 85YOTA

First off, Please go to McCain’s web site, or read articles about him – try to find something in his platform that appeals to you. I was very surprised to find three or four issues on which I actually agree with McCain, or he with me, so if push comes to shove McCain’s got my vote with a clean conscience. Remember, the candidate with the MOST VOTES wins. Every vote for McCain helps us to STOP OBAMA!

Reason, McCain had clearly stated that he wants choices such as gay marriage and Roe v Wade to be matters left up to individual states. And if you want to blame anyone, call Howard Dean and thank him for pushing a massive fraud into our Democratic throats.

Jack – you actually have a valid point. One should view any politician with a healthy dose of mistrust. Their feet should be held to the fire and we should be eternally viligant as to what they may be up to. There is, however, one large flaw in your post. Why should your candidate exist on a higher plane than all the rest? I am presuming the the person you are referring to is Ralph Nader? He has done many good things, but he doesn’t have a hope in hell of getting elected, and I am afraid there is a large component of ego in his running once again. That being said, it would seem that the best chance we have is to elect a smart, experienced person and make sure that our voices will continue to be heard. The only way things will change is if people get involved, vote and make themselves more knowledgeable. Otherwise we will all go down the tubes.
Since nothing BO has said or done makes me believe he is a candidate I can vote for (quite the opposite) and since he sprang straight out of the corrupt Ill. machine, I hold a pretty jaundiced view of him. That’s without even factoring in Rezko, Auchi, Alsammarae, Wright and Ayers, et al. McCain is whacko, but I could vote for him as a protest. That leaves Hillary, who I admit I wasn’t keen on, because I don’t like the idea of “dynasties”. But her sheer guts in the face of the horrendous treatment she has had to put up with has caused my admiration for her to grow every day. I like a tough lady and I will never vote for a wimp like BO, who is lost without his speechwriters.

Obama’s health care plan is a useless sham. He won’t interfere with the states, which means nothing changes. Plus the rest of us will still be paying higher premiums for the uninsured. He wants to reduce the cost of health insurance by $2500. With his nose in the air, he has no idea how little that is. A single pay HMO where I am is nearly 900 a month. For a family, close to 2k. SO that 2500 isn’t worth shit to a family. But then again, he isn’t much for doing his homework. Just blowing smoke out of his ass. The man is a waste.

It would just kill me not to vote for the Democrat for president in November. But if the chosen Democratic candidate is Obama, I won’t be voting for him. I just can’t imagine not voting, so either I write in Clinton or actually vote for McCain. The idea of voting for McCain is so against my principles…Probably the write in is all I could bring myself to do.

If the Democratic party chooses Obama, I won’t consider myself a Democrat anymore. Which will be really strange – being a lifelong Democrat, former delegate for Jesse Jackson, and coming from one of the bluest states in the union. The country just seems upside down to me for the past 8 years…

    Country before party:

    ~ no vote for Obama.

~ voting for all down-ticket dems so McCain can be kept in check.

Next mid-year election – and probably the 2012 general too – are the times I will remind Obama supporters why I’m actively supporting their opponents.

  • DancingOpossum

Yup, same for me. Vote all down-ticket Dems — this is why I won’t change my party registration — but vote for McCain in November if Hillary doesn’t win the nom. In the general you can vote for anyone regardless of your party affiliation.

I will never, ever, vote for Obama. Indeed I would not even vote for him if he were running as the proverbial dog-catcher because I am an animal rights supporter and am pretty sure BO would be as vicious and nasty to critters as he is to everyone not in his bubble.

  • Dormaphaea

You are wrong. The Democrats are going to end up with a veto proof congress. The majority of issues are legislative, and the House and Senate can pass them without the “President”. As far as the Iraq War if the Dems really want to end it, STOP THE FUNDING. Obama was right about one thing “the ’60 battles are over and “Roe vs Wade is one of them. If the Supreme Court actually overturns Roe vs Wade, it will go back to the States. The ones in panic will be your “Pro-Life” Politicians. Punishing a woman for having sex by forcing her to create a child by forcing her to bring a pregnancy to term, punishes the child who is created. Ending a pregnancy ends the biological life before it becomes a person. If you have to punish people for have sex, irresponsible sex or otherwise, find a way which punishes both partners.

  • AJM

Your trick question avoids the point: the switch would never occur but for the fact that Obama has convinced us that he is morally unfit for the office of President in ways that make him more dangerous that McCain is despite the fact that we disagree with most of McCain’s policies. Obama has shown that he is unable to put the interest of the country over his own political short term advantage. He was willing to have his campaign make phony charges of racism in order to gain votes. Most people see this: some are willling to put up with this, many are not. If you truly dont get it consider: If Biden had endorsed Hillary and then made his gaffe, Obama would have claimed that this a deliberate plot to inject racism into the campaign. He sent a four page memo detailing similar gaffes to the press and then claimed that he wasn’t calling the Clintons racist. Can’t have it both ways but I’ve certainly had it with a liar in the Whitehouse. I don’t want Obama doing to the Democratic Party what Bush has done the the Republican Party. Lying about passing legislation to fix nuclear leaks when instead he failed to pass that legislation and watered it down so that it was simply legislation to make the world safe for his supporters from Exelon. McCain now has good proposals for global warming, Obama fell for clean coal and will sell us out on global warming by trying to please everyone.

As to the Naderites in Florida, yes, you are morally responsible for George Bush but what we are doing by voting for McCain over Obama is precisely what we advised you at the time: voting for the best available candidate with a chance of winning.

  • AJM

If, as we believe, Obama is unfit for office not voting for him cost him one vote -going further and holding our noses and voting for his opponent costs him two votes. There, got it now? The math’s fairly simple.

Obama has lied so much that we simply do not care what he says and have to track his actions, so as far as gaining our votes he is SOL.

  • Patricia Wood

I will not vote for Obama. I have been a democrat for 50 years. If he is the nominee, I will leave the party.

  • AJM

It wasn’t when Bob Kerry used it to celebrate the fact that in America the background you come from does not determine your prospects.
Obama turned Kerry’s support of that idea on its head and claimed that it was a deliberate ploy, devised by Clinton, to inject the Muslim meme into the debate rather than an insufficiently explained effort by Kerry to celebrate America’s religious tolerance. And, oh yeah, my memory is that Kerry had said something similar months back before endorsing and no one had objected.

I knonw of no religions which endorses bearing false witness the way Obama does.

  • AJM

Not voting for Obama costs him one vote to replace you. Holding your nose and voting for McCain cost him to — one to replace you and one to counter your vote.

  • AJM

If Hillary had never existed we would still be voting for McCain over Obama based on the content of his character. That’s the point the trolls don’t get: Obama is not morally fit to be President.

  • AJM

Nobody is contesting that Obama has won the majority of pledged delegates: most of us believe he did this in part by playing dirty — that he made a tactical decisions to use false claims of racism which may have the strategic effect of costing him the election. Some of this is due to unfair tactics in caucuses and some of this is due to crossover voting — so we rather doubt that most Democrats want Obama. The supre-delegates are part of the rules and they have the right under those rules to vote for whomever they believe will be the strongest candidate in the fall — that’s not Obama.

Most of us have been so appalled by Obama’s lack of character that the issue of comparing policies no longer arises.

For example, Obama just spend a lot of time attacking a straw man — complaining how unfair it is to assume that he believes everything that Rev. Wright said during the last twenty years that Obama sat in the pews. Few people believe that Obama does. The real question most people have is why didn’t Obama leave or in some way controvert the inflamatory charges that Rev. Wright was making? I would be ashamed if I sat through bigotted commentary about blacks but Obama had no trouble sitting through biggoted commentary about America. If he thinks that some of the comments have merit, let him defend them.

  • AJM

The worst thing we have about Obama is that he is morally unfit to be President and he proved this by being willing to seek his own political advantage by making phony charges of racism. Oh, and he lies, and he is sexist, and he is inexperienced and he is a poor judge of people –yeah, I was aware that Rezko was being investigated so I asked him if there was a problem and he assured me there was not — so why are you concerned that I might be naive? I had now idea that Rev. Wright was like that — how can you possibly hold me responsible for missing that for twenty years?

  • AJM

My lies and inexperience and failures and phoniness are all okay because somebody mentioned my middle name. Aren’t you tired of falling for that?

An intelligent person assess the factuallity of a claim, not the character of the person who made the claim.

  • AJM

This isn’t about her losing: this is about him being who he is. A lot of us came to this conclusion months ago but have hesitated to say it for fear of damaging Hillary’s chances. Obama had no difficulty making false charges that would damage her chances in the general (where she still polls as better selection than hme).

The party under Pelosi and Dean lay down for President Bush. They didn’t even try to impeach him. Obama agreed with not impeaching Bush. They, now, ask for party loyalty?

  • AJM

P.S. — Dear GETOVERIT: if I were reasoning like a bot I would argue that I couldn’t possibly vote for your candidate because you sound like my father when he scolds.

  • AJM

Bob Kerry used Obama’s middle name in a non-bigotted fashion and it was Obama who claimed that using it was unfair. He could claim that because of his background the rest of the world would love him but for anybodyelse to refer to it was unfair.

It is unfair to mention what proportion of Obama’s voters are black but it proves racism to recite the proportion of Clinton’s voters who are white.

Obama fanned the flames of racial antagonism in this country. He wants an additional 90,000 soldiers which he appears to plan to put on the Afghan Pakistan border. He lied about nuclear leak legislation. He can’t judge people — Rev. Wright, Rezko. He inspires his supporters to hate their oppponents by his phony claims and sneering attitude. He has no empathy.

McCain will be working with a Democratic majority congress.

My guess is that Democrats will get more of what they want from Congress fighting McCain than with them rolling over for Obama.

  • AJM

    Great tactics;lousy strategy.

  • AJM

Better than thirty years of an ultra-corrupt Supreme Court. If Rezko hadn’t been caught, he’d have had a voice in the selection.

Maybe a Democratic majority in Congress will develop a backbone and stop McCain’s nominees — Oh, wait, don’t count on Sen. Obama — he thinks a President has a right to appoint whomever he wants (I do wonder what he — as a Constitutional scholar– thought advice and consent means). Obama wanted to vote for John Roberts and only decided not to after it was pointed out that this would be a political loser.

  • AJM

Any facts you think we got wrong?

Don’t mention RFK — if you do, because you are a demon female and can only be inspired by the worst possible motives — it is obvious that you are inspired by a desire to abet the crazies.

“A review of senate records from January 2003 to August 2003, shows Obama played a major role as chairman of that committee, in pushing through Senate Bill 1332, that led to the “Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act,” which reduced the number of members on the Board from 15 to 9, making the votes much easier to rig.”

The Illinois Health Facilities Board is the one Blagovich and Rezko stacked to obtain kickbacks.

Obama is either corrupt or a useful naive idiot.

And you want him in the Oval Office?

  • AJM

True — by Progressive Punch her’s is more liberal. He has voted liberal because he had to to win the nomination. If you read his books he is forever talking the liberal position down.

One thing Hillary does not have on her resume is the type of lie Obama told in Iowa about the failure of his Nuclear Leak legislation and how he watered it down to please his Exelon backers.

He had no record when the Illinois Legislature was under the controll of the Republicans. He was handed the legislation of other law makers to pad his resume in the last year before his U.S. Senate run. He chaired the committee which led the successful effort to reduce the number of seats on the Board Rezko corrupted. He didn’t attend to the welfare of the people in the slum housing Rezko provided in his district despite being a community organizer.

In the US Senate he has one important accomplishment to his name — controlling nuclear materials abroad. The subcommittee he chairs held no hearings because he was busy runnning for President.

So what record, precisely, are you talking about?

  • AJM

So that’s why you’re voting Obama?

  • PITA

Contrary to the pundits and their stereotyping, we know how to vote down ticket.
