DEMOCRATS: Wake the F–K UP! You’ve got a BACKLASH on your hands

HE CANNOT WIN IN NOVEMBER! As Larry wrote, only slightly tongue-in-cheek about the Obama campaign’s dilemma, “If we would just figure out a way to get rid of those damn middle aged, non-college educated, cash strapped white bitches, then we would appreciate the utopia Obama is offering.”

Thing is, this lower-class white bitch (okay, sorry, I do have a B.A.) knows that Obama can’t win. And so do millions of others, including the hundreds who signed our “MUTINY MANIFESTO” here on May 20th. (If you missed it, it’s not too late to sign!)

I know, I know — you Dem party leaders assume that we’ll all kiss and make up come August. Well, get a clue. Millions of us will NOT. We will REFUSE to come around. Because we know that Obama is not experienced enough or knowledgeable enough — or honest and trustworthy enough — to be president. Obama’s tactics against Hillary–from hoodwinking to attacking Bill — and the DNC’s selective disenfranchisement have been beyond the pale. It took Neil Cavuto, on Fox News on Tuesday, to state the obvious:

[The Democratic party], even if [Hillary] continues to win or perform well, they’ve kind of have already written their ending on this … her victories or strong performances just get in the way of that. … [I]t’s like they’ve got the script written and she’s annoyingly disturbing that script.

From CBS News’s blog on May 21, 2008:

In Kentucky, 77 percent of those voting for Clinton said they would be dissatisfied with Obama as the Democratic nominee while just 21 percent said they would be satisfied. Forty-nine percent of Obama voters in Kentucky said they would be dissatisfied with Clinton as the nominee while 47 percent would be satisfied.

More worrisome, just 33 percent of Clinton voters in the Bluegrass State said they would back Obama in a general election. Forty two percent said they would support Republican John McCain and 23 percent said they would not vote in the fall. Seventy one percent of Obama voters said they would back Clinton in the fall should she win the nomination. Those are striking number and larger than were reported in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio but the trend has held throughout a crucial region of the country for November’s vote. …

NOW LOOK AT MASSACHUSETTS POLLING — Massachusetts being the ONE state that Democrats can always count on winning (at least historically), but polls show Obama either TIED with McCain or only winning by two points:

         (a) “A loss of cataclysmic and historical proportions is afoot!” [Update]

         (b) “Massachusetts: The Canary in the Coal Mine

My God in Heaven. If Obama can’t be in the lead against McCain in the heretofore Democratic-safe state of Massachusetts, along with the endorsements of both its senators (Kerry and Kennedy) and its governor (Patrick), what chance does he have?

OBAMA IS a fraud! Why don’t you get it?! MILLIONS OF US DO! HE is a marketing-created myth specifically designed to appeal to elite neo-liberals, whose silence regarding the sexism against Hillary has been deafening. He lacks any populist economic message which would appeal to the voters needed to win. The low income white bitches will vote for national security (McCain) if no one is speaking for their economic security, and these are voters essential for a Democrat to win. Just ask John Kerry.

We KNOW BETTER than to vote for him. He is not qualified to be president, yet many in the Party seem intent on putting the less qualified male candidate over the much more qualified woman. But us bitches are experts on that game.

“The one thing his voters can count on is that they will ultimately be disappointed.” Der Spiegel has it exactly right.

They are afraid of Radical Marxists who make a lot of noise.

Let’s put it this way: any posters in that Stalinist era style, is a presidential kiss of death. Americans (that is ALL Americans with brain cells, and not this now coined idea it, “only means White Americans”) don’t elect Maos; Lenins; Stalins, and certainly no Chavezs.

Americans get a slight wiff of that extremism, and might as well cancel the election, and give it to the GOP.

Even Bush couldn’t run as a fascist. The South would’ve even not voted for him.

Of all the threads going today the conference call one is the most important! I urge my friends here to focus extra attention to it! I just posted this there:

Susan you might want to make this the top thread for the rest of the night. It is very important!

The absence of troll poop in this thread proves it scares them. They know Hillary will do fine in the rules committee so they won’t want to point attention too much to this topic. “Mission accomplished” indeed.

Please participate heavily by clicking here.

And listen to the conference call. You will find great solace and strength after listening! I guarantee!

I have great respect for you, Larry and the other authors here.

Is this blog a front for the RNC? Who could live through the last eight years and seriously want to continue with a republican president? Does habeas corpus mean anything? Or torture? Or war? Or corporate welfare? Or peak oil? I’m seeing more and more Obama and Clinton supporters take this “cut the baby in half” line and it’s depressing the hell out off me. Grow up, people. We live in a winner take all system and this infighting is going to kill us in November. I wanted Edwards but I’ll vote for either Clinton or Obama, and I’ll do it with pleasure.

    • Ga6thDem

There is no reason to vote for Obama other than he has a D by his name. Frankly, considering the fact that he is the least qualified candidate to run in modern history makes me think that even another republican would be better than having Obama. Obama could put us in even worse shape.

      • SirWilliam

Well, hopefully people will calm down a bit after the convention, take a cold look at their options, and realize that a McCain administration would be disaster, for the supreme court nominations alone. As the Nader supporters demonstrated in 2000, following absolutist principles that are at odds with reality can have terrible real-world consequences.

        • http://www.hillaryclinton.com **== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **==

Your fear of a disastrous McCain presidency won’t sway us. Obama would be a guaranteed disaster for America. McCain we can deal with if we have to. And don’t ask for me to spell out why Obama would be a guaranteed disaster. Read the blog and if you are still not convinced, sorry I can’t help you.

              Hillary or McCain.

              Nobama. No way. No how.

              • Kathy

Obama is a crook. He is a liar; he has used race in this campaign so that it has divided the country; he has slandered Bill Clinton, for what reason I don’t know; he has said the most outrageous things about Hillary that were just uncalled for. They weren’t about her policies, they were about her personally and they were lies. Obama is inexperienced, disin-genuous, inept, and a dirty politician. You obviously haven’t done any investi-gating or you would know the truth about Obama.

Obama has not distinguished himself in any way. Why would he even be a viable presidential candi-
date? Is it because he is black? If a white man or women with his experience tried to run for the U.S. senate, she would be laughed at. Obama was a state senator for 6 years; did not pass a bill until his final year when Emil Jones gave him all the other senator’s bills to put his name on. Then amazingly he passed 20 bills. Whooptee Do. When he finally became a U.S. Senator, he earmarked $300,000 worth of pork for Emil Jones.

He was Rezko’s personal senator for 20 years and helped him set up his little kickback scheme with the Chicago Teachers Pension Fund and the Hospital Board. And I am sure he took part in the kickbacks.

Why would you ask anyone to vote for him? He is un-American. Both he and his wife think exactly like Rev. Wright, and if you think they don’t, I have some land down here in Florida in the Everglades.

You people better wake up. Do some homework. His associations indicate he has no judgment whatsoever.

If Hillary isn’t the nominee, you have to vote for McCain to keep Obama out of the White House.

          • Joe Beese

I applaud the “White People” tag.

An uncharacteristic bit of intellectual honesty from the author.

          Hi Susan,
I’m back at my computer after several weeks on the road and so happy to see that you all are still kicking ass!

The so-called Democratic Party has been co-opted by the Neo-Libs and joined by the deadwood old timers like Hart, Kennedy, Edwards etc who realize they are no longer power brokers, having been made impotent by the kool aid messiah. Can you believe they’re riding BO’s coattails? Must be humiliating.

Those of us with our critical thinking still intact, voting out of common sense and felt need, and not because of some vague hope/change ideology, can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Too bad it’s a fucking train.

          • http://www.hillaryclinton.com **== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **==

Hello Mary Jo! Good points you make as always.

I’m attracted to Hillary because she represents the heart and soul of America. And we know that pisses off the extremists on both ends of the political spectrum.

            • Donkey Brazziere

              I Agree!

        • Mel

The Supreme Court line doesn’t work in the least, when facing a Democratically lead Senate, soory but nice try!

How do you feel putting a Marxist following person in the position of POTUS?

How do you feel putting a Sexist in the position of POTUS?

How do you feel putting a Race Baiter into POTUS?

How do you feel putting a profiteer from books filled with lies as POTUS?

How about someone who doesn’t even know how many States are in the Union as POTUS?

How do you feel about putting someone who lacks any integrity to stand up void of a single platform idea that wasn’t stolen as POTUS?

At the end of the day, as Donna Brazile made it plenty clear, it is a NEW Democratic Party and doesn’t need those of the old one! Well I am neither Blue Collar nor uneducated, and based upon the facts of a possible candidate who happens to be Black (don’t care really) voting for him goes against EVERYTHING that is right with this country and moves it towards everything that is WRONG with this country and on that basis alone, it isn’t won’t, it is CAN’T vote for OBAMA!

          • Andy

The Supreme Court line doesn’t work in the least, when facing a Democratically lead Senate, soory but nice try!

Exactly Mel. Obama supporters are beating a dead horse with that argument. That wrench will not work.

          Troll Sweetie,

Remember how excited everyone got at the prospect of McCain running as Kerry’s VP in 2004? Of McCain’s almost becoming a Democrat in 2000?

          This one’s easy.

In November, I will vote for either Hillary or McCain, it’s that simple.

          • SirWilliam

Oh, I’m not a troll (or I hope not) I’m just trying to inject a little balance. I like Clinton. I’d be more than happy to vote for her. But I don’t see Obama as the devil, either. I saw him speak in Portland last week I was quite impressed. Frankly I think the party would do well with either candidate. I guess I don’t understand why people are so upset on both sides. What are the substantive policy differences?

According to Wikipedia, a troll “is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community… to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.”

Was what I said off-topic or controversial? I’m simply pointing out that voting for an oppoisition party candidate just because your favorite doesn’t win is a bad choice, particularly when the two candidates are alomost indistinguishable from a policy point of view. I posted the same thoughts on pro-Obama sites. But I suppose if you really aren’t a democrat, but are a republican so disgusted with the failed policies of Mr. Bush that you want to distance yourself from your past mistakes and pull the lever for a democrat, but who can’t tell the difference between McCain and Clinton, then the comments on this blog make perfect sense.

            • cc

The difference happens to be that Obama never had a position until he cut and pasted everyone elses’. He policies are not as progressive as Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton has a record of getting legislation passed, that benefits other people not just herself. She doesn’t give up when it gets tough. She spends time actually listening to people instead of talking at them. She actually has a systematic plan for getting somewhere with goals.

She didn’t leave her poor constituents freeze in the winter and go to the responsible party and make a deal to buy a mansion he couldn’t afford. In other words, Obama is the most self serving , sociopathic narcissistic man going at the moment. He has done nothing to warrant his position very similar to GWB.

              • Kathy

It has to do with character and honesty, neither of which Obama has.

            • Karma

              Sir William,

Were you at the 75,000 Portland gathering? Did you stay for the concert? Did they start their concert with the Soviet anthem or the Obama endorsement song?

Another example of MSM lies to benefit Obama.

The fact that a free concert with a popular hometown band was playing was conveniently left out of the report

Obama is of the Chicago style dirty corrupt politics and they want to bring that to the rest of the Country – no thanks. As far as the Supremes, I don’t trust Obama on women’s rights – he has already indicated with several comments and his almost vote for Roberts (stopped by his political advisers) that he doesn’t care about this. And on economic issues, Goolsby and others plus his statements on SS point to continued Repub and corporate directions – so no diff from McCain.

Uh, no. That’s we be our current President, who failed at every job he had, running business after business into the ground. Exactly what do you mean by qualified anyway? If you work in the business world, you definitely know qualified doesn’t mean experience. Qualified means the best person for the job. Obama or Clinton are both a better person for the job than McCain. With McCain we get a continuation of the Bush policies, which just to recap include: the largest federal government in US history, the largest increase in debt in US history, the biggest rollback of individual and States rights in US history, and that pesky war that the majority of Americans don’t support.

Bush was under-qualified, no doubt, but a full term as a governor is a bit more qualification than a partial term as a senator. Let’s just agree that they both suck ;-)

There is no shame in fighting for your candidate, and fighting hard, but when you’d rather support a republican candidate than one of two moderate democrats… I start to wonder if it’s not an under-cover republican tactic. BTW I’m making similar posts on TBogg and other pro-Obama sites. Personally I can’t tell much difference between their policies. trolly, trolly, trolly, grow up and realize that what matters the measure of the man, or woman, not the letter next to their name. obambi is no dem. mccain isn’t as bad as most repubs. hillary bests both of them by a mile.

if we don’t have a choice between hillary and mccain, it is the fault of the corrupt dnc and the corrupt msm and especially the corrupt obambi and his supporters. it is on you.

simple, really – nominate hillary. she wins. she’s a very good president. nominate obambi, mccain wins, he’s an acceptable president for four years and we get hillary next time (or someone else much better than obambi if hillary doesn’t run). nominate obambi and, heaven forbid, he wins, disaster for the country. we’ll take option hillary or backup option mccain. the obambi option is unacceptable (and we know how obambi likes to say what’s unacceptable – the gall! well, we can decide the same. he is unacceptable).

hillary or mccain. no other option.

Had the Dems played such hardball with the Cheney Administration, they would have some credibility, some “political capital.” They didn’t. They don’t. They have failed. Then they fucked up: they made a foolish choice in 2004, then they made another and compounded it by conducting a Rove style campaign after everyone including sane Republicans repelled by these methods.

They are too fucking incompetent (being optimistic here, they may be something worse) to govern.

    • Windy

Democrats need to wake up and understand that they are not running against W. They are facing the Senate Maverick. There is no way inexperienced, arrogant Obama will beat him. Hell, I have been a democrat for 40 years and I like John McCain on a personal level.

      SirWilliam;

Everybody knows Obama can’t win in Nov. It’s beyond obvious but they are caving to a bunch of screaming children who demand that the party nominate “the one.” Well, like Uppity above said, Nov. will tell the tale.

All the yammering about Roe and the hard line the Obama supporters take makes me even more determined to vote against him.

You’re right that it’s going to be a national security election if it’s Obama vs. McCain. Both have zero economic appeal so people will vote on national security. And after all Obama’s associations come to light he’s toast. Oh, well, you and Larry and everybody else tried to warn them but they wouldn’t listen. How stupid is the party? Apparently very.

What made the Dem power-holders think they could shove a candidate down our throats like this? Have they been doing this all the time, and I just didn’t notice?
I never voted Republican, but I may this time.

    • oaktown

They’ve been doing it all the time. Look at Kerry.

      • Tom Plumb

        Look at Bush, too.

Dean just decided to forsake American law and the Constitution, too, though I’m not sure way.

I keep hearing “it’s the rules, ” and really, it’s a fixed election, cheating gamed in, an intent to commit fraud early on, to prevent Clinton from becoming President.

So, they are in defiance of everything America stands for, from dealing with our enemies, economically and ideologically, to defying the law, and the Constitution and the American people.

When this is pointed out, they miss it, they can’t see it, all they can come back with is “it’s the rules.”

The have no greater concept of the law, or our government, or what it means to uphold the American government.

A major unfortunate experience in a Democratic Primary is that the control of messages is in the hands of the media! Come the fall it will be in the hands of the opposition, a luxury ill afforded to Clinton, but used to an advantage by Axelrod and Howard Dean and Donna Brazile!

From the 4 person mentioned, Clinton, Axelrod, Dean and Brazile, only one has worked on a Presidential winning team, that being Clinton, the rest all failures!

When it is streamlined one after another in advertising against Obama, from Rezko to Wright to Dohrn and the Ayers, the point will be driven home so hard it will be deafening!

Obama will be his own failure when he uses his sexist remarks which seem to flow effortlessly from his mouth as his lies do!

The damage done by Obama and his little Bobbitts is not repairable, and the fact that his temperment of expressing riots will occur should the will of the people be turned over is rediculous to say the least, in a third world country you’d expect this sort of thing, but in America it is simply rediculous and his lacking in assembling a squash to these sorts of rumors shows his conviction in abilities to lead, one of complete failure!

It is suprising how many are changing their tune from “WON’T” vote for him to “CAN’T” vote for him! The realism is not only the actions shown during this campaign season, but the preceeding inaction by a self proclaimed messiah!

The unfortunate outcome from all of this is that many will cast a shadow over a community, the Black community, that will set it back decades, after all the good work done and accomplishments of many in that community, as the blind outpouring placed upon them by a relentless shadow caster of a woman that Michelle Obama is to destroy to gain has caused upon the community!

No one is worth a vote based upon the kinds of acts associations and vile campaigning Obama is responsible for and at the end of the day, many will do their utmost to be sure such a person never becomes POTUS no matter what the unlikely outcomes are Obama trolls attempt to use to sway opinions, as opinions are long out the window, now it is based upon FACT that this person, irrelivent of his skin tone, must never become POTUS PERIOD!

    • oaktown

Hey don’t include me or my family in the shadow cast over the black community. I’m black and so is my family and we can’t stand Obama! Neither can most of my friends. And my black friends who do like Obama know by now they had better not try to praise him to me!

      • rjj

There is no shadow on the black community. He is another Gary Hart.

Yes oaktown; the shadow Mel speaks of is real.

I cannot tell you how deeply upsetting it is to see BO stir up all kinds of trouble, and as a recent poster stated, leave the residents to clean up after him.

This in no way means that people, of any color, shape or backround, that understand how corrupt BO’s bullshit is, can not work toward a more perfect union.

I implore you to add your voice and insights here.

        • oaktown

I’m keeping up with all the comments. I just got back in front of my computer.

Frankly, the whole Obama thing worries me. I have been a Democrat all my life. I worked on get out the vote phone banks for Mondale. In 2004, I went to Florida to monitor the polls, but unfortunately all the action was in Ohio.

After the last election, I decided that if the Dems did not get a better candidate, I would be going Independent. At that point, I was not a Clinton supporter and was going to write my name on the ballot. But the last few months, watching Hillary Clinton’s courage and tenacity in the face of almost the whole world telling her to sit down, I began to admire her. I can see now that if it were her instead of Gore in 2000, we wouldn’t have had to live through the last horrible eight years. She would not have given up until every vote was counted.

And all this talk of the Clinton’s being racist is just a crock of shit! I went to an event in San Francisco in 2001 that involved all the black federal judges in the country. I hadn’t known there were so many of them! I found out that during his eight years in office, he appointed more blacks to the federal bench than had been appointed up to that time. He doubled their number. No one else has done that and I highly doubt Obama would either.

I’m concerned for my country if he gets into office. He surrounds himself with a lot of people who hate America. I have always been proud to be an American and I’m sure my life has been a lot harder than Michelle Obama’s.

I’m with you guys. I decided even before I found this blog that if Hillary is not on the ballot, I will be voting for McCain. I’m impressed with his military service and his record of bipartisanship. I can live with him for four years until Hills can run again. Maybe I can even work on her campaign.

          Nobama ’08!

That shadow was very easily swayed (herded) towards Obama by one of Donna Brazile’s nasty little tricks. A lot of blacks are not quite as intuned to this election just yet. They were sold on the historic proportions and are not hostile towards or dislike Hillary in any way. Once they find out what happened, and they can check the record…she or Bill never said anything racist…they will be mighty upset. I’m another black man that won’t vote for Barack. Sorry, I missed the train.

      • ndree

Don’t include me either. I am Black, and was aghast at the level of blatant manipulation of Obama, and the credulousness of the AA community. I said it LOUD and clear, at first on Huffpo, where I soon realized that they were one of the prime instruments of the game. In fact, when someone there mentioned Hillaryis44.com on one of their posts, that was the beginning of sanity and salvation for me.
I can’t believe we are at this point…I mean no screenwriter could have imagined a more frightful and sinister plot.

Dean and the beltway elite have made it clear – its Barky they want. And they don’t care that they have had to so game the system so badly a blind man can see it.

I also think they are so stupid and corrupt they can no longer see whats electable and whats not(Barky).

These people really need to go. They are disenfranchising not only working class whites, but all Democrats for that matter. These elites are deciding FOR US.

That cannot be allowed to stand.

It isn’t Democratic, its a rigged system worthy of Saddam or some banana land republic. Washington, Jefferson and Adams would be appalled at the vile and un-American behavior of our elected reps today.

The question now becomes do rank and file Democrats invest time and energy in the national party thats no longer responsive to them.

Do they try and primary out the principal corruptors like Reid, Pelosi, Kerry, etc. Which to me is a must if they want a party that actually represents most Americans rather than a bunch of rich white coastal elitists.

Do they try to get rid of the caucus system and move the first primaries to other more representative states like Ohio and say Arizona? IOW give other states a try. Given that the current system seems to select perennial losers.

Or do they create a new national party?

These and other questions need to be addressed IMO. Not just for politics sake, but for the sake of the country.

This is a reason to back McCain. He is NOT the choice of the GOP establishment. He was not their choice in 2000, that is why he was smeared out of the nomination. The only reason McCain is the nominee now, is that he is the only one that can win in the fall. Romney was their establishment mule, but he has NO CHANCE of winning this fall due to the political enviroment that is toxic for the GOP. Also, McCain will not be taking Romney as VP.

      • so saddened

excellent point, axt. the repubs don’t like mccain, which makes him all the more acceptable to us dems who can’t stand the guy who’ll probably be our nominee. so we elect mccain, thereby keeping obambi out of the white house, telling the dnc loudly and clearly to fuck off and clean house, and get a repub the repubs don’t like. i like it.

actually, i don’t even care who mccain picks as vp. i’ll just count on him to live 4 years – his mom’s still around, after all. and he looks stronger than skinny little obambi with his blue lips – oxygen deprivation? heart problem? drug problem? i don’t really give a shit.

Florida delegates file lawsuit to get delegation seated
    Posted: 03:00 PM ET

From CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart

A DNC official addressed a crowd gathered at DNC headquarters in later April protesting Florida’s situation.
(CNN) – Three of Florida’s Democratic delegates filed a federal lawsuit Thursday in an attempt to force the Democratic National Committee to seat Florida’s delegation at the convention.

Steven Geller, an uncommitted Florida superdelegate and a Florida state senator; Barbara Effman, a pledged delegate for Sen. Hillary Clinton; and Percy Johnson, a pledged delegate for Sen. Barack Obama, have alleged that the DNC violated their constitutional rights to equal treatment and a fair process by stripping Florida of all of its delegates to the nominating convention because the state held its presidential primary prior to a date specified by the national party.

“This litigation addresses the view of Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee that 1.75 million Democrats can be ignored at will,” Geller said in a statement released Thursday.

The DNC said the lawsuit had little chance of success. “In two other cases so far, the courts have upheld the Democratic National Committee’s right to establish and enforce its own rules regarding the selection of delegates to the Democratic Convention,” said DNC spokesman Dag Vega.

In late March, the federal appeals court in Florida upheld the dismissal of another lawsuit filed in an attempt to force the DNC to seat the Florida delegation.

The Rules and Bylaws Committee of the DNC is set to meet May 31 to hear appeals from Florida and Michigan Democrats to allow the seating of both states’ delegations at the summer convention in Denver.

Hillary Votes to Override Bush Farm Bill Veto

“I was proud to stand with my Senate colleagues in overriding President Bush’s veto of the Farm Bill by a vote of 82 to 13. This bill is now law, and will move us further down the path to energy independence, provide a safety net for family farmers, enhance nutrition programs, require Country-of-Origin labeling, and improve access to broadband in rural communities,” said Senator Clinton. “Senator McCain has made it clear that he agrees with President Bush on farm policy. Americans will have a real choice this fall – between a candidate who supports rural America and family farms and John McCain, who offers a continuation of President Bush’s failed policies.”

Senator Clinton worked to include several provisions in the bill. She fought for Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) for meat and produce in the United States; helped develop legislation that was the basis for the Healthy Food Enterprise Development (HFED) program, an initiative to bring healthier food to new markets and underserved parts of the country; worked to expand the Community Food Grants Program to $50 million; and helped push for a commission to create and implement a Comprehensive Rural Broadband Strategy, an idea Senator Clinton proposed as part of the Rural Broadband Initiative Act.

The Superdelegates’ Decision: HC (wide base of support) versus BO (narrow base of support)

I keep hearing from the media that Obama has to win over the votes of the working-class…win over the votes of the Asians…win over the votes of the Hispanics..win over the votes of women…win over the votes of the Latinos..win over the democratic base…win over the votes of Jewish…win over of of of ……

What my question would be to the superdelegates is why would you want to pick a candidate that still has to find a way to win over of these votes such as Obama…when you already have a candidate in Hillary Clinton who already has all these voters support.

“There’s no doubt that the Obama money machine is in full force. We know for a fact that through the end of February, Obama had contributed more than $710,000 to the campaigns of Federally Elected Supers, while the Clinton campaign contributed $236,000. But this information is scarce as PAC’s tied to the Obama campaign have not updated their disclosures to the FEC since March. Just think about how much money has flowed from Obama’s coffers, and the coffer’s of his primary supporters and 527’s like Move On, since March.

Obama’s campaign has suffered defeat after defeat since the end of February, he has consistently lost support among the very groups that make up the backbone of the electorate, yet Supers continue to flock to him.”

  • http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/sneakpeak.html Factcheck2

You’re assuming that the Dem. Party leadership wants a Democratic president in November. That may not be the case at all. Let’s look at the facts. Nancy Pelosi, the wife of an investment banker with ties to Gordon Getty (son of J. Paul Getty) became Speaker of the House after 20 years of offering no important legislation, but rather doing a lot of fundraising. She said in 2006 that impeachment was off the table, then did everything she could to protect Tom Delay until Cong. Chris Bell defied her and filed that ethics complaint. (Of course, she made Bell pay dearly for that – he wasn’t re-elected.) While I don’t know much about Harry Reid, the fact that a senator from Nevada is the majority leader sort of speaks for itself. Then there’s Howard Dean, who has been busy setting up some sort of Trump Tower over there at the DNC.

All these folks hate Hillary Clinton, who is basically a generous person and a populist. Knowing back in 2004 that she would be unbeatable in 2008, they have either unwittingly or deliberately cooperated in the Karl Rove strategy of using an African American state senator from Illinois as a foil to keep Cinton of the November ballot. He came out of nowhere, after all, so all these party leaders going to the wall for him appears a little suspect.

If only we could get some truthtelling to the superdelegates before August, and some reassurance by the Clinton camp that these folks won’t get retaliated against by Pelosi, Reid and Dean if they support her. (Clinton could start the ball rolling by putting Geraldine Ferraro in charge of either communications or outreach.) That’s the only path I see her taking successfully to get the nod, short of the press finally doing its job and reporting on Obama’s criminal ties BEFORE the nomination.

A brokered election with the pomp and circumstance of 10,000 marching bands, countless ridiculous messianic magazine covers, a somewhat catchy tune by a band fronted by a former meth addict, numerous empty Hollywood endorsements by people known for their acting and not thinking ability, news broadcast after news broadcast attempting to convince us he is THE ONE.

And the man still can’t close the deal.

I’ll be in Denver in August. If not Hillary, then McCain.

King Obama, the race card, and the death of freedom of speech

Much has been said about why so many lifelong democrats are opposing Obama. What makes me absolutely determined to do everything to defeat this demagogue is the fact that he has been using, and will continuously use race card to silence every opposition, and by doing so, effectively turns himself into a king, and turns this great country into Cuba, China, and other authoritative states. If the “first Africa-American President” is labeled a racist, who could possibly escape? And if Clintons’ and Ferraro’s voices are silenced, who would ever have a voice?

Regardless the true reason behind many people’s support to Clinton, according to the Obamania, as long as one does not support Obama, s/he is a racist. Thus, bitterness and resentment are created; feelings are hurt; but these are not the reasons for defeating Obama in November. The real reason is the immediate and grave danger the Obamania pose to this country. If they can silence everybody in the campaign when they are trying to “look nice”, imagine what they will do once they grip the power. And remember, they have the backings of the media, the DNC, and the “liberal” turned neo-“evangelicals”. Even under Bush, hundreds of thousands people had the freedom to speak out and protest the war; can people still disagree with, or even speak out against any Obama’s policy, for example, his health care plan? Can you imagine a protest like the one held in NYC before the RNC national convention, with thousands of thousands people? Is there more serious crime than “racism” one could possibly commit in today’s political environment?

So please STOP talking about unity and forgiveness; it’s not the feeling, not the bitterness, but our own FREEDOM and LIBERTY that demand us to STAND UP AND DEFEAT OBAMA! And we MUST defeat Obama at any cost – INCLUDING voting for McCain – because writing in Clinton’s name cannot serve the purpose, and no cost is higher than our freedom and liberty.

i think the reason it’s so hard to be sure if he’s a radical leftist, a radical repub, or whatever is that he is often none of those things. he is NOTHING. he has no views other than say whatever it takes to get elected. but to the extent that he actually has a position, not just what he says but what he really believes, it generally seems to be marxist.

his stated positions are copied from hillary and/or fed to him by axelrove et al. that’s why he can’t respond to questions unless he has been prepared by his handlers. he changes his positions depending on what state he’s in. he doesn’t care. he probably doesn’t even understand the differences in the positions he publicly espouses, because they’re just lines he memorized to get elected. he is a tool, with embedded socialist leanings.

in terms of ambition, he is off the chart power crazy.

Will you tell CNN to take responsibility for their on-air talent?

    Dear Friend,

Is it ever acceptable to use the term “bitch” to describe a woman? CNN political contributor Alex Castellanos seems to think it is.

On Wednesday’s edition of The Situation Room, moments after CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin referred to a column in The New York Times that “talked about some of the humor in the campaign, and the punch line was a line that was — that Hillary Clinton was a ‘white bitch,’” Castellanos asserted, “And some women, by the way, are named that and it’s accurate.”

Hard to believe? You can check out the Media Matters for America item below or watch the video for yourself here.

It’s time to hold CNN and Castellanos accountable for his horribly sexist remarks. I hope you’ll take a moment to contact CNN today and demand an on-air apology from Castellanos.

Just left a message! For”the best political team in Politics”

      Thanks for the information

  • PeggySue

It’s McCain himself who inspires a Democratic defection. There’s no way that I could vote for an ultra right-winger, but though I would have thought it unthinkable only a few months ago, I could pull that lever for McCain now. He almost fits the “conservative democrat” slot and since I’m pretty much a moderate anyway, I could sign on for that and will if the left-wing insists on Obama.

I am not swayed anymore with the screechy cries that McCain is Bush III because clearly he is not. Btw, did you catch the Obama/McCain dialogue on the GI Bill? Talk about arrogant! BO is going to preach to McCain, a former POW, on sincerity about the welfare of average GI’s? It’s like giving a sermon to Senator Clinton on the “woman’s position.”

Plus, you’ll note it’s the men who are so-o-o sure the party women will unite behind Barack Obama. I’ve got news for them. As a life-long Dem, I will never forget the abuse Senator Clinton has had to deal with on gender lines. And now all this nonsense on the veep choice [material released by BO headquarters]. That’s suppose to be the signal, I guess, that it’s all over and they’re moving on.

As far as I’m concerned? They can move as far as the end of the pier and then jump off.

Having now read Pringle’s series [Curtains for Obama] and Diamond’s piece on the Ayers connection, there’s no way in hell I would vote for this man. But Diamond’s piece answered a question I’d had about Michelle Obama whining how she and her husband had just paid off their school loans [Hello. Been there, done that].

It just made no sense to me until I read the theory that presumably whites have an “educational debt” owned to black folks [this is courtesy of the like-minded Ayers people]. Educational debt is a nice, neutral term for reparations.

Now it makes sense. The Obama’s were “entitled” to a 5-star education on the tax-payer’s tab, rather than being grateful for the privledge of attending two of the best schools in the bloody world–Harvard and Princeton. Color me dense, but from where I sit the Obama’s look like they’ve done pretty well in “mean-spirited” America.

It just gets better and better. And if Hillary is pushed off the ticket? John McCain is my new-found hero!

    • Skiron

      McCain isn’t like Bush, eh?

McCain doesn’t mind us being in Iraq for 100 years.

He’s assured his conservative base that he will appoint solidly conservative justices to the Supreme Court given the opportunity.

He wants to extend the frickin’ Bush tax cuts that are destroying the middle class and weakening our economy.

The guy said he would entertain the idea of speaking at Bob Jones University, which until recently had an policy that barred interracial dating.

Oh and as the infamous photo shows, he gave Bush a big ol’ bear hug to show just how buddy-buddy the two of them are.

During the May 22 edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski asked MSNBC political analyst Mike Barnicle,

“[D]o you think we’ll be looking back on the coverage and on the conversations pertaining to [Sen.] Hillary Clinton’s run for the White House and will sexism play a key role in what went wrong?”

Barnicle responded: “No, I think the further we get from this election cycle, I think reality will play a much larger role in what has happened in this election than reality is playing a part now.” Later, MSNBC contributor Pat Buchanan stated: “[T]here’s resistance to a woman being the nominee, but by and large, I think the fact that she’s a woman has helped her here.” But as Media Matters for America has noted, on the February 26 edition of Morning Joe, Buchanan made the admittedly “sexist” comment that when Clinton “raises her voice, and when a lot of women do, you know, it’s — as I say — it reaches a point … where every husband in America … has heard at one time or another.”

Additionally, on the January 23 edition of the program, Barnicle had said of Clinton: “[W]hen she reacts the way she reacts to [Sen. Barack] Obama with just the look, the look toward him, looking like everyone’s first wife standing outside a probate court, OK? Looking at him that way, all I could think of … was this fall, if it’s [Sen. John] McCain that she’s facing, McCain is likable. She’s not.”

After Buchanan criticized Clinton’s voice on the February 26 Morning Joe, Brzezinski responded: “Oh, Pat, you’re lucky you’re not in the studio, I’m telling you.” Buchanan said: “I know that’s a sexist comment … but there’s truth to it! … There’s truth to it.” He continued: “It’s very difficult for women to reach those kinds of levels effectively, as it is to make them sort of a rally speech. They’re not good at that.” Brzezinski replied: “There is something so wrong with what you’re saying, and what I fear is that the effect may be exactly what you’re saying because of this double standard that people can’t hear strength from a woman without using the B-word, and quite frankly, if that is what people are going to take away from this, it just seems to me as, well, everything that the Clinton campaign is arguing then.” Buchanan had stated earlier: “[I]t’s very tough for a woman. You see two men going back and forth at each other, you say, ‘Boy, they’re really going at it.’ … And you see two women or something, and say, ‘Boy, what a catfight this is.’
” During the April 23 edition of the show, Buchanan said of Clinton’s speech following the Pennsylvania primary the day before: “[O]nly once or twice did that voice start rising to the level that every husband in America at one time or another has heard. You know, where it starts going up.”

    .

From the May 22 edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe:

BARNICLE: Well, you — you know, one of the things that she did initially, and she’s been a terrific candidate for the past five or six weeks. Had she been this way from the beginning –

    BRZEZINSKI: Exactly.

BARNICLE: — she’d be the nominee.

    BRZEZINSKI: I agree.

BARNICLE: But she began with this level, this sense of entitlement, and kept insisting every other sentence, “my 35 years worth of experience.” And more and more people said, “Thirty-five years worth of experience? Well, tell me about that.”

    BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.

BARNICLE: “What 35 years worth of experience?”

    BRZEZINSKI: Yeah. There you go.

BUCHANAN: I think there’s resistance — there’s resistance to a woman being the nominee, but by and large, I think the fact that she’s a woman has helped her here. I mean, they rallied to her in New Hampshire –

Does this remind you of rezko and the some guy I did 5 hours work for?
Obama responded by saying he has met Khalidi and spoken with him in an academic context, when Obama was teaching at the University of Chicago.

“He is not one of my advisers. He’s not one of my foreign policy people,” Obama said. “He is a respected scholar, although he vehemently disagrees with a lot of Israel’s policy.”

Obama then objected to the suggestion that his contacts with Khalidi mean he shares Khalidi’s views.

WHY then according to http://www.hawaiireporter.com/story.aspx?5c1672c5-872a-41d3-93ff-8567 b49f5f1c

During Obama’s last year on the board of The Woods Fund (2002), he participated in awarding grants, including a $70,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network, a Chicago-based group founded by Rashid and Mona Khalidi.

In another suspected quid pro quo arrangement similar to those with Ayers and Rezko, Rashid Khalidi also held a fundraising event in his home for Barack Obama.

In the Middle East, Rashid Khalidi was known as a man to be reckoned with. From 1972 through 1983, Khalidi was the director in Beirut of the official Palestinian press agency, FAFA. His wife worked there as well.

According to sources, when the Khalidi’s left Chicago for Columbia University in New York, Rashid was honored with the Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies at that Ivy League university. Their goodbye party in Chicago included testimonials from Bill Ayers and Barack Obama

    • so saddened

      another 527 ad writing itself.

my only question is how will they decide which to do first, given the amazing number of such issues/relationships surrounding obambi?

i guess giving testimonials, arranging grants, going to the house for a fundraiser, etc., will be described as just a guy in the neighborhood kind thing, like ayers was….and the obamaloons will lap it up. fortunately, most people won’t.

  • http://lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com/ whoframedrudy

I don’t want William Ayers on the Supreme Court anymore than I want a right wing crackpot.

5 Republican judges voted for Roe v. Wade. Republican judges appointed by Nixon voted against Nixon on warrantless wiretaps, the Pentagon Papers and Executive Privilege. Republican Judges have voted against an arbitrary death penalty. Reagan appointees like Day O’Connor have upheld Roe v. Wade and voted for gay rights in the landmark Lawrence vs. Texas. Stevens, the 88-year old liberal, was appointed by Gerald Ford. I don’t have a knee-jerk fear of Republican judges. The problems come from extremist crackpot judges, left or right.

And the proven way to get an unqualified flunky for the radical right past the fillibuster is to let people get away with playing the race card — a la Clarence ‘Uncle’ Thomas.

  • karen for Clinton

They’re eating his crap and calling it cake.

They will wake up, the alarm bells are ringing loud and clear. They will stop in mid step and say… ya know, maybe I was wrong, let me check this and this and this and this and this story out a little more carefully. It isn’t as if there is something wrong with him, it is that there is EVERYTHING wrong with him. Go rewatch all the debates, go look at the arhives of how he adopted her plans when he had none. Go look at his unpresidential remarks and his surrogates remarks towards the party core members.

But most of all go look at his track record, the ones he did not destroy, and tell me why his supporter have fallen for him?

He is not the one. There is no “one” expected or promised to voters. There are politicians, some who have a proven track record of excellence in office which should cause voters to select them over lesser nominees for office.

That whole “one” thing is offensive to Christians and Jews who are waiting for “the one”, their messiah, to come (Jews) to return (christians) and to say a corrupt dangerous political sewer dweller like ob is “the one” is a hideous manifestation of their delusional opinion of this weak unviable man.

He ain’t nothing to get excited about.

The free concert in Oregon attracted people out for a stroll and the media mindfuckers made it out to be, once again, a propaganda ploy for the “one” meanwhile we ain’t buying it, it is all smoke and mirrors and we don’t eat crap and call it cake.

  • Militarytracy

Party leaders, the media, bloggers, they all intended to steamroll people and thought that they could push people up against the wall and make them do their bidding. Where women are concerned, we’ve lived this way and our triumphs have been managed under against the wall conditions just in case these bullies are wondering from where the stamina springs from. Poor Booman is wailing about his fatigue and attempting to paint himself as some sort of hero. What an intellectually dishonest self portrait he paints, but that is the “typical white guy” where women are concerned and he played the sexist game too when it suited him.

  • Urban Hillabilly

Many small town people here in Missouri were deeply offended by Obama’s snide, arrogant categorization of us as “bitter”, clinging and as having “antipathy toward those that don’t look like us.

He literally lost votes with that statement. Those Missourians are not coming back to him. And NO!, they are not racist. Even if McCain were to expose similar perceptions, those folks will stay home.

The Democratic party is fooling themselves on this one. Barack is done in Midwestern rural/small town states.

Rules of the game are everyone votes in a Democratic Society and every voice is heard, and at the end of the day in a Democratic Society, everyone has a choice between the chosen Democrat or GOP nominee to vote in as POTUS!

Many cannot vote for Obama and the alternative is McCain, a good choice given the alternative!

That is the RULES OF THE GAME

So fuck off asshole with your ignorant word plays!

  • http://penitent-thief.blogspot.com/ LBJ’s Love Child

If Hillary and her supporters can`t accept the rules of the game……..
why did they agree to play in the first place.

Alas, therein lies the problem, Fosdick.

People’s votes aren’t a “game”. They weren’t a “game” in Nevada. They weren’t a “game” in Texas. They weren’t a “game” in Florida or Michigan.

To Republicans and Omamacans, people’s votes are to be “gamed”. To a TRUE Democrat, people’s votes are to be COUNTED… even when they go against you.

  • american sawbuck

    BYE BYE

  • Dakinikat

I think the rules of the game are that you have to get X number of votes to clench the nomination. NO matter who you are supporting right now every one has <X votes towards the nomination. According to the math I learned, means no one has won yet. Obamath doesn’t seem to tied to the reality of math. Less than X does not = X. Who gets the most votes at this point doesn’t count … it’s who gets the “X” votes. Also, there’s no real decision at the moment as to if X will be 2026 or something more or less than that until the rules committee says what that x is. However, the thing we do know now is that while Obamath says any number I want my koolaid drinking zombies to say is X, is X. While the rest of us, who do REAL math, still no there is no winner at the moment. So, go pick up your math book and find the section on simple addition and subtraction and compare pledge delegates and see if ANY one at the moment has 2026 or more. Once you’ve had a remedial math lesson, perhaps you’ll understand why most of us that will not vote for Obama. Obamath is just one of the symptoms of distortion.

Fosbach: Do you know who did Obama choose as his mentor when he first arrived in the US Senate ?

Answer: Joe Lieberman. Do you know why?

Let me be clear: Obama is NO Democrat. Most of his policies and votes are neoliberal.

  • catherine

To a marxist troll like you EVERYONE who disagrees with you is rightwing.

The stalinist trash that could never win elections under it’s own party has infiltrated the democratic party under the guise of democrats and is trying to hijack it.

Not only are we pro-Hillary we’re also pro cleaning the democratic party from marxism.

  • Linda C.

That is very presumptive on you. I am very liberal, not a centrist whatsoever. I am also educated with an advanced degree and a professional. My parents are also very liberal democrats, despite the growing up in small town PA. We are pro-gay marriage, pro- choice, and don’t believe the Bible is the guide for real estate development. My father was always against the war in Iraq before Obama’s little never heard of speech.

I lived in Florida for the 2000 election and Ohio in the 2004 election. I have been assisting with elections since Carter. I have canvassed, stood in the rain and cold, manned phone banks, and had a republican meddler thrown out of a polling site in Ohio. Our children are also registered democrats and got involved in the Kerry campaign even before they were of voting age.

My family, and especially my 78 year old father, have not been this upset since the unelectability of McGovern. The difference being my father voted for McGovern, he cannot vote for Obama and neither can the rest of us.

The problem is larger than those “Reagan democrats”. The Obama campaign is not only throwing out generational democrats, but entire demographics and geographical regions in their one state of denial strategy to win this election

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

That’s why he is one of ONLY two presidents we have elected in 30 years, thanks to you off the cliff radicals. When will you jokers understand that the majority of this party is moderate and will not tolerate a cliff hanger. How many times does it take for you to learn you cannot take this party over just because you couldn’t make it in your own. Ten years from now, all these children Obama is entrancing will be smart adults and they will reject the next Obama just like we are rejecting him now. Stop trying to run McGoverns, Dukakis’s, Mondales. Kerry was a joker too but he was ALMOST endured, not quite. Obama is a Dukakis, just taller. These losers consistently only drive the moderates to vote for republicans. You never learn. You won’t learn this time either. You are NOT going to purge the majority of this party away. The majority of this party is not made up of AAs, radicals, marxists, children and Old hippies who never put down the bong. They will resist every SINGLE time. All you succeed in doing making it so we can only elect two presidents every 30 years.

Fosbach, do what your father forgot to do way back when you weren’t even a thought, take a comdon and put it over your head, the one on your shoulders and leave it there for 20 minutes or longer!

    Thank you!

Notice how trolls are always leaving, but never leave? It’s as if they think that announcing their disgust is a threat or something.

Fosbach, SirWilliam, etc: Just GO. All this “I’m leaving now, I’m leaving, you guys are losers, I’m leaving now” is just a pathetic cry for help. You won’t get it here.

Nobody here gives a shit about you. You know- just like everywhere else you go.

Senator Obama spoke in support for Joe Lieberman running as an independent. Joe Lieberman ran as a pro-war candidate. So Obama gave a speech against the war that no one remembers, voted for all of the funding authorizations for the war and spoke on behalf of Joe Lieberman’s pro-war candidacy. It would seem that Obama himself has no real position on anything especially this war.IN his debate in PA, it was very clear that he also had no understanding of the economy or the tax codes. He is clueless on foreign policy and foreign relations using only his childhood experience as a reference for his greatness.

IN 2004 everyone thought that John McCain would be a viable VP choice for Kerry.

Obama folks have to give me something more than he is “just like Hillary”..well then vote for Hillary..go for the original not the cut and paste guy.

I also need more than he is not as bad as McCain or that McCain would be somehow worse . This is counter intuitive to me. Tell me why I should vote for Obama as opposed why I shouldn’t vote for McCain
