I was a member of the progressive community once, I worked for a progressive magazine. Because I was working for the business side of the magazine neither I nor my colleagues were considered to be part of the community. Various battlements were constructed around the office. Though the publisher and editor were both kind to us and welcomed us into the community, the rest of the company associated us with their perceptions of the evils of corporatism. Meanwhile, why they sang kumbayah, we were busy keeping the lights on.

My point is that perceptions of reality amongst the “true believers” are skewed to a frightening degree. I feel that way as a Hillary voter now. Because I don’t follow the true faith of Obama for what I believe are sane and rational reasons (experience, policy, etc.) I’m eating lunch alone all over again.

For Larry to sit atop this crap heap of a blog, filled with the most vile insults to anyone who hasn’t supported Hillary in the primary, and post “a typical message from an Obamabot” is beyond the pale. I am the first to say that I will vote for Hillary if she is the nominee, and I have no interest in getting into the egoistic dance of spin that is going on in defining who is winning the popular vote (depends on whose numbers you use), and who is winning the delegate count (depends on this, that, and the other), and the latest polls on who can win in November and who can’t…. ad nauseum. But pulling a message out of the vicious heap that is this blog from a clearly mentally challenged Obama supporter to feed the vileness here, is simply disgusting. One could peruse the comments section here any moment of the day and pull out the nastiest crap one has ever seen. But that’s ok. The people on this blog sicken me, as does Larry. As far as I’m concerned, he is a typical authoritarian, and I’m sure fit right in with the CIA. The tree rots from the top down, and I can see why this blog is a turd. I will continue to lurk to possibly glean good information from the rot, of course, because that’s what I do. I actually, you know, TRY to be an honest parser of what’s viable data and good information.

But for those of you who seem to trust every frikin word coming out of Larry’s mouth, why not take a step back and really look at this? Larry, do you even read the comments on this blog? Do you look at what normal Americans are being called/labeled on a daily basis here? What your own diarists call people here? You folks may have some good points, may be exposing relevant issues, but your attitudes and tone are just insane. And this post is even crazier because it shows, as I said in another post a while ago, absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever. If you want to see vile political supporters, look in the mirror, folks.

The Republican Party was hijacked by the neocons. They used issues like abortion to divide and conquer and to distract from their business dealings.

The Democratic Party has been hijacked by neodems. They will use the MOAB, the issue of race, to divide and conquer and distract us from their business dealings.

I would not vote for Mobama if he was the only person on the ticket. I will vote for McCain if Mobama is chosen. The racist in chief and his brownshirts are going to keep this country fully out of the loop for the next 8 years. By that point, their will be no nation left worth saving.

Blowing off steam is one thing, but I’ve been seeing a degeneration of conversation here in the past few days because people are TAKING THE BAIT from the trolls. It’s what they want you to do. Don’t give them your energy, IMHO.

Prejudices are a part of our American life. Just look at the Oscars. We have had a lot of stunning performances by black men and women in films thru the years yet only recently have Halley and Denzel been awarded Oscars. It was always going to be hard for a black to get the nomination. Many are not ready for that.

My problem is that the MSM, progressive bloggers and others have been so unfair and biased with their ridicule and insults towards Hillary, her husband and even poor Chelsea while Obama remains totally unvetted. Many Americans will not stand for these groups trying to cram someone down our throats. The close election reflects this. Obama will not be elected. I will never support him and am one of those Hillary girls who will go to McCain rather that allow groups to manipulate my views and this election.

The GOP has been studying how Obama’s group has repelled negative issues by raising the racism claim and they are getting prepared for this in the fall. Additionally, I don’t think they really care about being called “racist”.

Just a thought: Obama must be trying to buffer against this latest negative Michelle tape that the GOP have where she rails against “whitey”. Now Obama wants spouses “off limits” but they didn’t have a hands off policy with Bill during the primary!

I’m convinced that Obama is unelectable! I’ll never vote for him and many like me will not either. Funny thing; we don’t care if you call us a racist or not. We know that’s just an excuse for Obama whenever he doesn’t have an answer.

Me? I don’t have a problem calling myself a DEMOCRAT.

Even on a more Hillary-friendly blog, bringing up the issue can be seen as “race-baiting.” That is absurd!

I think I’ve learned all I need to know about these so-called “progressives.” Frankly, the Christian Right of today, anyway, scares me less than these progressives.

I am appalled by the lack of real intelligence or ability to assess anything unless its spun to support their candidate. That’s PR, not discourse.

I am appalled at the never-ending ad hominem attacks on Hillary.

I am appalled at the talking points, which are so steeped in old myths spun by Republicans about the Clintons.

I am appalled at the close-mindedness on issues. Just a small example. Remember Obama said he’d meet with rogue heads of states without conditions? Hillary disagreed. These progressives jeered at her. What say they now that he’s trying to back away from that ridiculous position? Are they now embarassed that they, too, went right along with that naive thinking?

I am appalled that they practiced unending sexist attacks and will now do the same with ageism, no doubt, and still have the ability to even look anyone in the eye and call themselves socially liberal.

I am appalled at the gross stereotyping of huge parts of our country and the sheer audacity of thinking that people don’t have the smarts to vote.

This is such a highly disrespectful group of people that it’s a club I sure would never be caught dead around.

So please. Never call me a progressive. The very word sends a shudder through me.

Their attitude is, if we ignore her then she isn’t there. But, unfortunately for them, reality does intrude in their dream scenario.

Anyhoo, McCain or Hillary. That’s it!
