Charles, if the content of the conversation was meant for "public" consumption, it would have been "out there".

In one of Obama's books he clearly states his allegiance to "the Muslims" if things get "ugly".

Not the United States if things get "ugly".

In any other post 9/11 scenario, BO would have made the FBI's radar...He has been talking with folks that are not meant for the "typical" campaign season.

Charles Lemos well done, sinks in well. The arch of it illuminates how incoherent Senator Obama is on many critical levels.

Rashid Khalidi also holds views that at odds with 60 years of American foreign policy. He would destroy the state of Israel. He even has a hard time saying the word "Israel". He'll say it if has to but he prefers using the word "Palestine" or "occupied Palestine".

And furthermore the larger point is that Obama is obscuring this relationship as he does so many others because in order to win the Presidency, he has to jettison them. The Reverend Wright is a bigger issue overall but this issue will hurt Obama in the Jewish community and with the white working class. And then for people like myself, a progressive on social issues, Obama has another problem, a lack of trust. Because since I do pay attention to what he is saying, I am catching him saying different things to different audiences and that's a problem for me.

I totally, uneqivocally agree with "Jeremiah 'God Damn AmeriKKKA' Wright" (lol on that name) - Obama's inexperience is the least of my worries, I think he is a DANGEROUS man. Look at every one of his nefarious assoications, ALL of them...ALL of them are either from the MIDDLE EAST or have developed some kind of affiliations with the MIDDLE EAST - and I'm not talking Israel either. Obama says he's pro-Israel, why then does he surround himself with so many cronies who are profoundly anti-ISRAEL? Who is going to put Obama in the middle and show faces surrounding him and show with a literal line all of their Middle Eastern connections - all of them either terrorist associations or corrupt? Also in addition to that - show the truth about his corrupt "community organizing" experience (lawfirm he worked with was a front for slumlords), the way he unethically personally arranged it to have every candidate knocked off the ballot when he ran for the State Sentate, then the "stolen" legislation that Emil Jones Jr. made the other senators turn over so Obama could take credit - and the biggest lie of all - the Obama campaign's race baiting that has gone on since after Hillary won New Hampshire. I think Obama's got plenty of "experience" - in the art of corruption anyway, but he's definitely been proving lately that he's not nearly as bright as everyone had previously thought - that's why he tanks during the debates - he's too dependent on using prepared speeches or planned strategies by Axelrod, but when he has to go out and handle matters solo - he's been making major errors.

Of course the media did not challenge the Golden Boy last summer when he made this huge gaffe. Senator Clinton followed right away in pointing out Obama's naivete - but the press got right on board and protected their chosen one.

It was a dumb blunder at the time and it is still a dumb blunder.

Does anyone think that Senator Clinton could take such a stupid stance and not be hounded by the press on it?

The media took us to debacle one, the war, now they are taking us to debacle two.

Your comment hits on few very important issues.

Obama is suffering from "the help I've fallen and can't get up" syndrome and the "where's the beef" syndrome. His answer to that question back in July 2007 in that CNN debate has plagued him ever since but in the primaries it hasn't been that big an issue. It will be in the general election because McCain can use it to his advantage. He doing so now drawing Obama into a conversation that Obama thinks he wants to have but really should avoid.

McCain's other avenue of attack will be "where's the beef" or inexperince. This is clearly one of Obama's biggest liabilities. And it has played a role in the primaries, Clinton consistently outpolls Obama on CiC but one has to understand that Obama's base in the primary of AA + under 30 crowd + those who earn $100,000 or more + the anti-war crowd who blames Clinton has been sufficient in certain states for him to win. That coalition can't win in November and the GOP will hammer away on Obama's inexperience, his growing list of gaffes, and on values. I vote my values. If I voted my own economic self-interest I would have been voting GOP but I haven't done that. My values don't match up with Obama's and that's a problem for Obama because I would say half country votes only on their values and not on issues. And for a lot of people Obama is just another out of touch effete liberal, only worse because we have no idea what he actually believes.

Maybe Obama has already had conversations with Ahmedinajad via Khalidi?

I read last year that during one of the trips to Iraq, BO was "in close proximity" to Iranian "diplomats" staying at the same "hotel"...

It was "suggested" by the author, that a meeting occurred between BO and Iranian officials...

After the these other connections and meetings have been "revealed" , BO is really stretching the "guilt by association" meme.

It is like the joke "How many BO associations does it take to..."

Shainzona,

I believe that you are referring to a meeting with the Shi'ite cleric Imam Hassan Qazwini who lives in Dearborn, MI. The one concern about this meeting is that it is not public knowledge. Other than the Detroit Free Press, I haven't seen coverage of that meeting anywhere else. That worrisome because what is Obama hiding. Again one of my chief complaints about Obama is that he tells different audiences different things and someone is bound to be disappointed at some point because you can't balance such divergent political interests. Obama makes the argument that he is just listening to divergent viewpoints. That's clearly not the case now because he is on the record on issues from energy to guns to Iran & Iraq to Chavez as having said very different things at different times. So who does one believe? What are Obama's real views? It's impossible to tell at times and that's a problem in politics but it diplomacy it is fatal.

Clinton's comments on Iran and the nuclear deterrence by contrast are clear and unequivocal. Iran knows point blank what will engender a US response. If Obama is elected President, Iran will test the limits because it can.
