Thanks to TexasDarlin for pointing these maps out to me.

::::::::::::::::::

Unfortunately, today’s HubDate round-up isn’t up yet on Hill’s site, but here’s yesterdays, also full of good news:

HUBdate: The Popular Vote Leader

The Popular Vote Leader: The Philadelphia Inquirer reports about Tuesday night’s contests: “Hillary Clinton netted approximately 150,000 votes and is now poised to finish the primary season as the popular-vote leader. In some quaint circles, presumably, these things still matter…If you believe that the most important precept in democratic politics is to ‘count every vote,’ then…Clinton leads Obama by 71,301 votes.” Read more.

Hillary Strongest in Swing States: A Quinnipiac University poll out yesterday shows Hillary’s continued strength in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania…She leads Sen. McCain by 7 in both Florida and Ohio and by 13 in Pennsylvania. Read more.

Overriding Bush’s Farm Bill Veto: In a statement yesterday, Hillary said: “I was proud to stand with my Senate colleagues in overriding President Bush’s veto of the Farm Bill by a vote of 82 to 13. This bill is now law, and will move us further down the path to energy independence, provide a safety net for family farmers, enhance nutrition programs, require Country-of-Origin labeling, and improve access to broadband in rural communities…Senator McCain has made it clear that he agrees with President Bush on farm policy. Americans will have a real choice this fall – between a candidate who supports rural America and family farms and John McCain, who offers a continuation of President Bush’s failed policies.” Read more.

Why I’m Supporting Hillary: One New York farmer says, “My passion is ensuring that we have family farms for future generations and that American agriculture is strong. I know Hillary understands and supports that!…Like South Dakota, New York is home to family farms (about 34,000), and I KNOW she will make the best president for producers and rural South Dakotans alike.” Read more.

In Case You Missed It: A member of the Kansas City Star editorial board writes this to Hillary in a memo: “I have only two words to share with you about your valiant quest to become the 44th president of the United States and the first woman to hold the highest office in the land: Don’t quit.” Read more.

Previewing Today: Hillary attends a “Solutions for Securing South Dakota’s Future” conversation in Brandon, SD and a “Solutions for Securing South Dakota’s Future” town hall in Brookings, SD.

On Tap: Tomorrow, Hillary travels to Puerto Rico for island campaign events.

These are fabulous and really help all of visualize what words sometimes miss.

I noticed that McCain has a shot at CA. That one nugget this week shows the weakness of Obama. No Republican, really, should have a shot. Not on this level.

We even emasculated Arnie. He’s now an honorary Democrat once we shot down his first major car tax increase. He learned. Don’t mess with Democrats here.

The fact that Obama is struggling here is very, very telling.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

Thanks to the loopy latte knuckleheads in Seattle, my state of Washington is not performing well. Well, at this point. I figure the eastern half of Washington state will get plenty FIRED UP if Obama is the nominee, and will help carry McCain to a rare Republican win for the state.

  • typical.white.person

    The maps speak for themselves.

They are like AT&T saying, “Can you hear me now?”

Or, what part of the maps is it you don’t understand, the colors or the state-by-state numbers?

They are saying: “Obama is a L-O-S-E-R”

What I am more concerned about are these career politicians (read: bozos) who support Obama, such as Kennedy, Richardson, Kerry, et al.

  • ces

    duh.

  • Darryl

This is the problem with Obama’s support. To make political logical statements based on the Electoral college will not get through to his supporters. They are voting for him based on Ideological reasons, for the most part. Now, I realize this is a generalization, but for a huge part of his supporters, it can be true. They don’t know, nor do they care about how a general election works. They BELIEVE he will be able to pull through it, they believe in the movement itself. It is a shame really, in a year when there should have been NO doubt about us winning, Obama and the DNC have effectively isolated their Moderate Votes. We are witnessing a 70′s generation yuppie hippie movement taking over the DNC. The only situation I see comming out of this, is a split in Both the Republican and Democratic Party, resulting in a third Moderate Party. Unfortunately, the Republicans have decided to run with a Moderate, taking advantage of the situation. It seems this election, we democrats will have to learn the lesson the hard way, just as the Republicans did with the failure of George Bush.

  • grayslady

I would love to see the Obama-McCain map with an overlay of those states where Obama won a primary or caucus. In other words, in the GE, I think most of the primaries Obama won’t mean anything in terms of statewide votes or electoral victories.

  • max01

If it is McCain vs. Hussein, McCain will win California (Latino vote), NY…Obama may win just his home state, plus a few others far LEFT States. Obama wining Southern states is wishful thinking. African American turnout is usually in the 90% & White blue collar turnout will negate that, plus lot of Hillary supporters will vote for McCain IMHO. In addition, Obama as the nominee will also affect Congress races meaning Republicans will WIN seats not loose. Obama’s remarks in San Fan made him unelectable in the GE. I guess the American LEFT & MSM think they can pick a canidate & shove it down the American voter…nope will caluse a backlash.

  • bwana

mccain has a shot in california??

    maybe against clinton…

    Watch and see.

You’re misreading that poll. I think it reflects the “presumptive nominee” boost.

It doesn’t mean that he’s won any hearts.

  • outlawales

    been saying it all along

    noway

    nohow

    nobama in GE

still hoping the SD’s come to their senses

isn’t this the poll that had everyone here so excited yesterday.

    yeah. not so much…

    Clinton-Obama, 2008 Guaranteed Win.

  • fred

That map is all the reality they need 270 in the general election. The Dems are so use to losing (37 years two wins) that they cannot recognized a WINNER. This is a sad state their in. Supers suppose to be the ones that are not delusional, ready to give us the best candidate instead their being brought and sold to the highest briber. This is up to ” We The People” time to show what we are made of. They are using use to sell out our country for their political greed. Obama knows their weakness is MONEY and hes promising them all that middle east cash thats at his disposal. We the people want be brought and we will shut down any attempt to take over our country with anti American haters, middle east crooks and black liberation asswipes

  • http://paganpower.wordpress.com/ PaganPower

The maps alone speak volumes. I wonder if the Superdelegates have a hearing impairment.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

No, but I think she’s got to hold these numbers. That will be the key.

  • stillife

Obama supporters (and the DNC) are operating under the delusion that if Hillary would just drop out, Obama’s numbers would go up. That’s the reason behind the relentless push to get her out which started back in February. If she would just quit winning, then he wouldn’t look like such a loser. Then we could all jump on the Unity Pony and ride happily into the sunset (or off a cliff).

  • alibe4-Hillary

If Obama is the nominee, there is no way he wins PA. You can takle that to the bank. I live here and I know. This is truly bizarro world. I can’t believe that the SDs have sold out so completely. The media, it has sold it self out for decades, or centuries. But the party regulars….how would you conclude giving the primary to Obama?

  • Ben

I have a question for you Hillary Sociopaths; When Obama is finally crowned the nominee, in your rage will you try to gun him down like Hillary “mispoke” about? Will you kill him like a dog so that Hillary’s destiny can finally be full filled?

I ask because I am trying to figure out exactly how crazy you people are.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Well, for me? I’ve lived through Bush. I can live through Obama.

He’ll be just another idiot out of the insider group who drives the country down even more.

  • Tom Plumb

I look at that map, and I think someone ought to put out an Amber alert for Howard Dean’s mind.

  • Roger_fromNJ

California is a blue state w/ HRC. I believe McCain would win it against Obama. He’s from the Soutwest, does quite well w/ Latinos. And, IF Obama is installed by the DNC, there’ll be too many HRC supporters that a) would be outraged at how Obama would have won, and/or b) know McCain is vastly more experienced, that Obama is a two year freshman senator with little to show for his time (except his naked political ambition).

  • jes

I live in CA. I’m not sure where they took their sample or the sample size, but I don’t believe the results of this poll. A poll depends on the questions, how they are worded, who you poll, method of polling, and your sample size. Most of the Dems that I know out here are Hillary supporters. I meet very few Obama supporters.

And, I believe that historically the LAT’s had not done well in it’s polling. The LA Times polled before Super Tuesday and predicted that Obama would gain a much higher percentage of votes than he actually did in CA primary. In fact, didn’t they predict that that Obama would most likely win the state? Well, Hillary won CA by a very healthy margin.

That’s why the networks wouldn’t call CA results until very late. Because the voting results didn’t match their polling. And, of course, the polls can’t be wrong now, can they? Sure they can, if it’s a bad poll.

Anyway, the LAT’s is in the tank for Obama and most of their coverage is slanted in his favor. It’s no surprise that they would try to manipulate the CA voters.

  • Mel

Next week-end is the rules commitee about Florida and Michigan, and the candidates pledges to not campaign in those states comes to mind. How come Michelle Obama was campaigning in Tampa in December then?

protect your hateful and deluded point of view. take your pathetic little voice
somewhere else. you and obama have ripped the democratic party right in half.

  • Roger_fromNJ

Ben is a f*ckhead. I don’t want Obama killed. I wish him no bodily harm. In fact, I hope for his sake that he is successful in quitting smoking. If he is installed as the nominee, I’d enjoy seeing him lose badly in November. There, was that SO INSANE?

  • Militarytracy

I wonder what Obamacrat blogger’s head is going to explode today? By nightfall surely someone will have to attempt to distract from actual facts by thowing brains on a wall.

  • Donkey Brazziere

I won’t for for him or down ticket.

  • Tom Plumb

Obama is corrupt, how can we even begin to address problems of war, the economy, et al, until we remove the corruption from the White House, from Washington?

He is not capable of governing, he should be nowhere NEAR the Presidency…

BTW, when reading his ad libbed answers, he shows no real intellect, at all, no ability to parse his thoughts, no command of subject, verbally, or intellectually.

    He makes Bush look good.

I have seen so many compromises made in the name of political pragmatism, compromises that have led to a tool like Obama being enabled to make a run for the White House, and it’s harmful to our country.

That a qualified candidate like Clinton even has to DEAL with this trash, via Howard Dean’s ego, is appalling.

  • Roger_fromNJ

alibe is right about PA. Also, take NJ off the map as well as other Blue Dependables like CA. Obama would get a Dukakis-like drubbing.

  • Militarytracy

Why am I a sociopath? How does anyone get crowned in a democracy? I don’t own a gun. I breed dogs very seriously and would never kill one. How do you know what Hillary’s destiny is? Do you have a tingley leg and a magic eightball too and it tells you these things that I am not priveleged like you to know? As far as crazy goes you might want to add in the reflection in the mirror and divide that by your own personal projection before you attempt to figure out how crazy other people could be.

  • Donkey Brazziere

I have no love for Obama, just trying to be realistic.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

I know he’ll lose a percentage of women. I’m convinced. They mean it. But we’re the minority, really. It’s rare to see an “angry” vote hold. I think this one has legs, because the sexism continues to be so egregious.

We simply won’t be able to overcome the damage.

BUT…..I don’t think that’s Obama’s problem, really, which is why he’s not jumping on the unity ticket. We’re not the biggest group. We’re noisy, but not that big.

    Here are his big problems:

White male voters……Oh please, if we thought it was hard to move them to Hillary? We won this group over, by tenacity. Obama? No way. They will go to McCain. Obama is a wuss. He’s like the guy you don’t want on your team. He’s the suit, the guy who says “yes to everything.” Men just don’t get guys like him or even relate. They will vote for McCain in a heartbeat.

Lower-income women? They see nothing in Obama’s platform to help them one bit. They will vote for McCain.

Jewish Dems? I thought he had a shot, until I saw his approach. Ignore my name? He’s talking to the most educated group in the entire country. He thinks they believe e-mails sent from unknown sources? Omigod, he’s so out of touch. LOL* He loses that vote out of sheer stupidity.

Latinos. They have watched him play the race card. They aren’t fooled one bit. What they have been hanging back to see is what now. What now appears to be that their worst fears come true. He’s all about AA. He has no interest in rainbow. They are outta there. He’ll get a few younger voters in this segment. If they remember to show up.

Youth. They are already bored with him. Onto the next drama. It won’t be Obama in the Fall.

AA voters. A lot of the new registrants did vote, but that was a big sacrifice. Hey, you actually gotta show up and whatever, man. They have given him their “all.” That voter bloc drops off in the Fall. It’s strong, but not AS strong.

McCain will win. In stunning numbers.

And then the country will know that they kicked the obvious candidate to the curb because she’s a woman.

And then we’ll discuss female guilt for 20 years.

I swear. I promise to stop reading. I couldn’t stand the post-mortems on this.

    It would drive me insane.

  • bwana

so, why didn’t you raise this skepticism yesterday, when folks were SOOOOO certain this poll would favor the former inevitable nominee?

  • PeggySue

I think this proves the old quote that the Dems are famous for:

Pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

There’s no way McCain should even be competitive this year and yet . . . the DNC strikes again and seems hell-bent on foisting a completely unsatisfactory candidate down the electorate’s throat.

As a Democrat, I hate to say this, but they’ll lose and lose badly. And then, they’ll have to own it, big time.

I have a question for you Hillary Sociopaths; When Obama is finally crowned the nominee, in your rage will you try to gun him down like Hillary “mispoke” about?
    &&&&&&&

Ben is not only hateful, but also an idiot. He is a misspeller, because the dictionary says the word is “misspoke”, as in mis-spoke, just like mis-spell. So us Hillary Sociopaths are also well-educated, and willing to lend a corrective hand.

  • bwana

“And then the country will know that they kicked the obvious candidate to the curb because she’s a woman.”

or maybe because she’s an a@#hole.

  • Obama_is_Weak

Ben, only someone who thinks about Obama getting killed could have understood HRC comment that way. What makes me wonder what your inner desires are. I say it is worth reporting you to the FBI.

  • Annagain

I just want to see an effective Democrat win the White House in November. Clearly that is Senator Clinton. She is eminently qualified and has the coalition of voters needed to win.

Unfortunately, Senator Obama does not. He should have waiting til 2016 when he had more experience under his belt and could distance himself from his nefarious associations instead of trying to steal the nomination from her when this is clearly her time to lead.

His outsized ego has made him malleable to being used as a weapon to stop her and the American people will suffer for it if the SDs don’t wake up in time to nominate Senator Clinton.

  • StatBabe

I LOVE that website! They provide a graphical view of a compilation of polls. They also have been fairly accurate in the past at predicting outcomes for Congress and the POTUS.

Those maps reflect what I have thought for quite a while now–that is, Clinton does better in those “swing” states, and in fact, she has won the swing states with the biggest electoral prizes–Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. The thing that bothers me the most about Hillary not being on the ticket is the strong likelihood that the Democrats will lose ALL THREE of those swing states. Florida has a large Jewish vote, which normally swings toward the Democrats, but that’s not likely with Obama’s anti-Semitic minister. Pennsylvania and Ohio have just enough of those working white people in Appalachia to sink the Democrats in both those states.

I guess the thing that hacks me the most is that Obama has racked up so much of his lead in pissant red states that the Democrats do not have a prayer of carrying–states like Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, and Kansas. While Obama might carry Mississippi and some other states in the South, I would not bet on it. Here, too, Obama racked up big victories via the AA vote. Ironically, Hillary would actually carry Arkansas quite easily since she was always more admired and loved in the state than Bill, which probably explains why she won the primary in that state by such a huge margin. There isn’t a SINGLE state in the South that Obama is likely to win, except perhaps, Mississippi since that state has the largest proportion of AA’s in the country.

  • Last Lemming

not sure about Howard Dean’s ego–but am sure about Obama’s intellect–and you nailed it.

But with that smile. . .who needs intellect?

  • jes

I’m not a moderate. I’m a liberal. But I haven’t lost my mind that I would vote for an empty suit with a thin resume who is running his campaign based on empty slogans and promises. And I would never align myself with Obama’s nasty vicious supporters or the biased DNC, Democratic leadership and MSM. Their vitrol, hatred, and misogyny towards Hillary repels and disgust me.

it reflects the “presumptive nominee” boost.

Yes it does AnninCa, you are correct.

But `wannabe bwana’ here is to simple minded to understand that poll.

    Here is the key sentence

The poll appeared to illustrate that Democrats, at least in California, are gravitating toward the candidate who is broadly expected to eventually seize the party’s mantle.

Anyone who understands anything about politics, demographics and has been paying attention knows that Clinton would beat McCain surely; while
McCain becomes competitive against Obama. It is that simple.
Ah and wait until McCain starts poking holes in Obama’s cardboard armor (something it will never work against HRC)

Obama cannot be trustred and it would stab Clinton in the back as VP in the US Senate. Much of obama’s political center of gravity is neoliberal.

So no, Obama should not be in the ticket at all. Let him seek re-election for his seat again in IL.

Besides Obama’s ties are so disgraceful he should not be rewarded with more power.

Maybe the pictures of these electoral maps would be great posters to have at the rally on May 31 in Washington?

Can you see the commercials yet as soon as Jimmy Carter comes out of the closet. Gas lines, sweaters, Iranian Hostages, Desert One and then fade to the face of Barack Obama.

Three years of national experience for the toughest job in the world? People need to wake up, change takes time, no one walking into the Oval Office can affect change over night. Remember six months ago, those troops were coming right home. Now I can get them out in four years.

If the vote was given based on that, take time and look at someone with tempered reason. Someone who has been to Iraq and seen what is going on.

The Democratic Party is going to leave millions of folks behind this election if Mr. Obama is the candidate. It has taken along time to get back the “Reagan Democrats”. So go ahead and nominate him, because those like me won’t ever be coming back!

  • Tigger12

    Hey Ben,

I am not crazy. I am working on a PhD, am female, in California, love my latte and wine, and work in high tech for a nice salary. And I am pro-Hillary all the way. I want someone who knows what they’re doing, who is entirely presidential just standing up to her own stupid party! My congresswoman endorsed Obama – I’ll vote against her in the fall. And she’s been a longtime supporter of getting women elected out here! The sell-out and disenfranchisement is HUGE! We won’t give in, we won’t forget, and we DO vote. So I for one intend to use that vote and my voice to let the unity pony know I shan’t be getting on. Now now, not ever. Give me the right candidate, or watch me vote Right. The Republicans are at least honest about what they’re up to. The Democrats are telling me they support me while saying get in line bitch sweetie

  • Marc Degler

Electoral-vote.com site is right on. I have been following it since the 2004 presidential election. If you go to the site you can find out what the May 24, 2004 polls were and the final results on Dec. 31, 2004. On May 24, 2004 the polls were:
    Bush 281
    Kerry 257

    Final result:
    Bush 286
    Kerry 251

What the site shows is that Hillary picks up AR, FL, MO, NC, NV, NM, OH & WV. These are states that Kerry lost. She only looses NH (only down by 3) and WI (only down by 4). She will cut deeply into the republican strength in the South. It looks like she will win against McCain, 4 southern states, while BHO picks up none. Please note NC (so much for JE support). Will the superdelegates care. If so, Hillary is not only the Dem nominee but our next president and the glass ceiling will be shattered.

  • catriley

I’d give Washington and Oregon to Hillary. She tied Obama in the popular vote mail-in primary, that most people were confused about… and would have tied or pulled ahead had it been a normal voting process (i.e. dump the caucus and the meaningless mail-in.)

  • Deep Truths

Clinton doesn’t need Obama’s supporters. She can win with blue-collar, Latino, Republican women, and anti-war independents.

Obama on the other hand is TOAST without Clinton’s supports which is to say he’s VAPORIZED TOAST.

  • jes

You can argue until you’re blue in the face and pull sentences out of context. As I said, based upon the LAT’s past polling history and my own observations I don’t agree with this poll. Period. And I’m not discussing this any more.

  • Deep Truths

Who’s crazy? Last time I checked it was the Obama camp that wanted Hillart, not the other way around. That in itself signifies that Obama’s campaign is desperate and bi-polar.

One minute they bait her to join the ticket, the next minute they are hysterical about an innocuous statement.

Obama will not get the nomination, and even if he does, he wil not win the general election. Facts are stubborn things.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Anyone who quotes any newspaper today as “validation” is clearly clueless as to the collapse going on in the media.

The LA Times, for example, has had 3 editorial managers resign with in the last year. The NY Times? Same chaos.

    Chicago Trib? Same chaos.

Newspapers are dying. Those who tout editorials? You’re the siren call.

There is no real media today. Some blogs? Great. Others not. Some TV great? Others horribly skewed.

This is actually the epitomy of voter opinion.

Ironic, eh? In the age where there is clearly no objectivity, the voter must be accountable to her or himself.

I confess. I’m just radical enough to like that state.

Obama has made it this far only because the MSM has been shilling for him and the GOP is keeping its powder dry for the real contest in November.

Obama’s shady and despicable political past and associates; his gaffes showing he does not have a grasp of geography, foreign relations, economics, or health care offer fertile ground to a GOP attack

If the Democratic Party Leadership thinks Obama can overcome what is already known about him after it gets the GOP ‘star’ treatment, then it better have an ironclad assurance from him and Michelle that there is no possibility of the existence of a video with Michelle railing against ‘Whitey’ nor any possibility of a video of Barack in Africa or Pakistan spouting something equally spectacular.

I can’t understand why the super delegates aren’t caring about these maps and polls showing how badly Obama is unelectable. I’m guessing they think his ability to raise money will help him, he would be able to run more ads then McCain, however he did it against clinton in PA, WV, Kentucky Obama still lost… I’m hispanic and in California. I was watching the news and they were saying how easily Obama would win California.. I beg to differ tho. Everyone I know voted Clinton, and plans Mccain if Obama is the nominee. When The primary happened here, Obama did not win So. Cal, he won most of No. Cal, more college towns. I think Obama is going to have a really hard time in So. Cal. The hispanic population here (whitch is huge I may add) is what won clinton the primary here on super tuesday. Hispanics here are talking Mccain in November. I think November could be a huge disaster for the democrats in November if Obama is the nominee. what a trip if California went red…We had no problem voting in Arnold.

A fair question Bwana. Personally, I think people put far too much trust in polls, which have proven to be unreliable, at best, this year. Elections are determined by demographics, history, and whatever hot-button issues are on a states ballot. All of these are strongly against Obama in the general election.

Are you available for target practice, Ben? Just asking?

  • CognitiveDissonance

Susan, I’m thinking the same thing about my state – Oregon – and the loopy latte liberals in Portland and Eugene. I grew up east of the mountains and that will very definitely be McCain country if Obama is the nominee.

  • http://! Nellie

Good Link – Thanks Mary Jo

  • CognitiveDissonance

Susan, I’m really glad to see you posting these maps. They do new ones every day. Just change the date in the URL to get the latest one. I’ve been following them for weeks, and Hillary’s numbers have been consistently trending up while Obama’s trend down.

It’s unbelievable that so many people don’t seem to get that Obama peaked at the end of February. Since then, his trajectory is down. Hillary has gained a half million votes on him in that time and won most of the primaries. Amazingly, one of the few states Hillary lost – NC – is blue for Hillary in a McCain matchup and red for Obama. NV and MO are now blue for Hillary, but not Obama. As every stock market trader knows, “the trend is your friend.” I’ve been posting the URL’s to these maps all over the place. People need to see them.

Incidentally, another place that has some very revealing map studies is:

    http://hominidviews.com/

Every day they run 1,000 simulations of the GE matchups based on the latest polls to find the probabilities of who wins. The latest show that Hillary has a 99.9% chance of winning against McCain, while Obama only has a 17.8% probability of winning. There are many other maps and studies done all over the internet, and I’ve seen few that show that Obama has much of a chance of a win. Hillary’s meme “It’s the map, not the math” is definitely a true one.

    Gene Lyons most recent article.

Party may suffer from an Obama candidacy

“If Hillary Clinton had no other reason to keep running for the nomination, it would be to demonstrate that Tim Russert, Keith Olbermann, Maureen Dowd, David Broder and the Beltway media gas bags don’t decide American elections.”

If nominated, Obama can’t possibly defeat Sen. John McCain without bringing Clinton voters to him. Recently, however, I’ve been hearing from many passionate Democrats who say they can’t and won’t
vote for him in November, so I asked a few to explain why.

“Obama and his supporters’ use of the ‘race card’ against the Clintons (with the help of the in-the-tank media ) is sickening. Now we have vile, racist, crazed-for-power Hillary. Obama means to avoid the ‘divisiveness’ of the Clinton years by blaming it on them. That’s a despicable lie, and he knows it. The only way of avoiding divisiveness is to cave to the Republican agenda, which I believe he’s more than eager to do.” “He and his supporters, “ J. adds, “ have
systematically sacrificed the central constituency of the Democratic Party —the poor and working class—on the altar of constituencies who look to politics for reaffirmation of their identity: college
    students and childish Sixties neo-libs.

Um, I heard not-so-kind things said, by volunteers making calls and knocking on doors, about some Oregonians just before last week’s primary.

We really have our share of goofballs here. (And everyone back east thinks that they all live in California … if only they knew.)

  • http://www.marcysmutiny.blogspot.com/ MessyMarcy

Can you admit that your candidate is an unelectable, unqualified charlatan who, in the unlikely event that he gets the nomination, will be overwhelmingly defeated by McCain in the GE?

  • http://www.marcysmutiny.blogspot.com/ MessyMarcy

You are obviously mistaking Hillary for your candidate — and yourself.

  • http://www.marcysmutiny.blogspot.com/ MessyMarcy

I don’t think my anger will cool; but even if it does, I still would never vote for Obama. I just can’t overlook his many inadequacies and strong similarities to Bush. Of the three candidates still in the race, he is far and away the least qualified. If I make the decision in anger, he would lose; if I use logic, he still loses. So, if it’s not President Clinton, then it’s President McCain.

  • AC-n-NC

I agree, we do not want his skeletons on the ticket.

  • jes

I think that bwana needs to take an anger management course. She’s got serious issues.

Of course, she’s probably barely out of diapers and used to throwing tantrums when she doesn’t get her way.

  • Donkey Brazziere

    OK I take it back.

  • AC-n-NC

Crowned? so it is a coronation they want.

  • jes

Listen you idiot, I don’t need someone to teach me about 1968. I was alive then, which is probably more than you can say. This is not something that I read about in a book or magazine. Unlike you. I lived it. So, stuff it. You don’t even know what the hell you are talking about.

  • bwana

that’s damn funny, coming from a clinton supporter!

  • Donkey Brazziere

    Dump the IDAHO caucus too.

As a resident of CA, Yes BO will Loose to McCain in state come fall.

Think only Rebup’s voted for Arnold?

At any rate the Dem’s can not afford to have CA in play…and it will be in a major way if BO makes it that far.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/05/24/at-least-the-gop-isnt-asleep-at-the-switch-unlike/ At least the GOP isn’t asleep at the switch, unlike … : NO QUARTER

    [...] Just a couple maps [...]

  • TeakWoodKite

Many moved north. In the 80′s, having a CA license plate in WA was not a converation starter. I remember the CA go home signs.

These days people are moving to states that actually count the votes…an un-seen Grapes of Wrath, I thought the Dems learned that the hard way in 2000…apparently not.

    Obama numerology is wierd.

  • TeakWoodKite

I won’t vote for Hillary if BO is on the ticket period.

Making history will have to wait and that sucks.

  • TeakWoodKite

    Obama is finally crowned???
    WTF???

The only crown BO will receive is for being the king of the OUTHOUSE of history.

May Allah be merciful on you. Crazy??? WOW!!

While tragic consequences of his death are felt even today, democracy was murdered that day as well.

It is an insult to equate his memory with the likes of BO. Just think of all that work on organized crime he did! I can’t begin to imagine what he would think of the cesspool BO crawled out of. If it was one thing he understood was what a crooked politician was. He gave his life in that cause, now APOLOGIZE!

  • english teacher

sorry, no way he’s going to win mississippi. no way in hell. it will not happen.

  • karen for Clinton

All the times leader newspapers were told to endorse obama. The ones in Scranton and Wilkes Barre PA took a hell of a lot of heat for that order from their home office.

Freedom of the press – not lately!

  • TeakWoodKite

Donkey Brazziere; I understand and respect you for saying it. A part of me so much wanted this…it had a possibility to be a thing of grace.

This country will perish if people are elected to office in order to be pardoned for felonies or BOLD immorality.

Ali Ata was told by Rezko that Fitzgerald was going to be removed…and not to worry.

BO is deeply involved and joined at the hip with this. When folks say “the Fix is in” it’s not only about the Democratic Party.
When the Retug Congress shut down over-site, looting the candy store and china shop was an equal opportunity profession.

THAT is WHY impeachment is “off the table”.

  • Northwest rain

Plus our female governor has endorsed snObama — and she is up for election — and I won’t vote for her. I just got a fund raising letter from her — AFTER I informed her that she has lost my vote.

I expect that Eastern Washington will make it a very tight race — for both snObama and da Gov.

All they need to do is start running the anti-Obami ads linking Obami and da Gov.

Obami’s coat-tails will be practically non existent. We’ll probably see ads about how candidate X did NOT endorse Obami.

A whole lot can and will change before August. Mostly I believe Clinton will be running stronger. The Obami camp will continue to stalk her and pull her statement’s out of context — just as they have been doing.

  • Northwest rain

One interesting piece of info in da Gov’s fund raising plea — she mentioned that a whole lot of people did NOT vote down ticket in the last Presidential election.

Isn’t this something we have been trying to alert the Democratic leadership about???? All these Obami voters aren’t interested in local politics — most probably don’t even know who their Governor is.

The reliable Democratic voters — the core voters will vote the WHOLE ticket. And THESE are the “old” democrats that Donna racist Brazile and the DNC have tossed under the bus.

  • TeakWoodKite

OH WAAA! JDL I stuck my nose under someone elses tent once, good luck with that.

I read the post in question and thought it was not a valid comparision. SO?

or maybe because she’s an a@#hole.

Ya know bwana, even if this were true, better a qualified “a@#hole” than a poser a@#hole.

And yes being president can require that the OFFICE of THE PRESIDENT, be an “a@#hole”. That is why the room is circular.

  • TeakWoodKite

What info from your state of Mississippi is of consequence? Just Curious.

  • TeakWoodKite

    I posted the same comment

We had no problem voting in Arnold.

I laugh when I think of anyone north of Marin voting for him…Think Eureka poverty and the 5 corridor Bakersfield to Tracy which is normally Dem but not this time if BO is in the picture.

There will be a Constitutional Marraige Amendment on the ballot this November in Ca…My personal opinion aside, this will have an effect on the “mood” of the voters, and get people out to vote. It was a proposition overturned by the court and now it will be part of the State Constitution.

Californians are getting tired of the Courts over turning laws passed by proposition, (will of the people) that “Barky and his Junkyard Dogs” won’t get the gig by insulting people.

  • yheitman

Actually, white female voters are the biggest voting bloc out there. We just need to hold on to that anger because of the way we’ve been treated all the way to November. There will be a lot of women that will begin to falter by then and if you are one of them, come onto this blog and tell us and we will continue to prop you up BUT whatever you do, do not give in and vote for Obama.

I’ve begun to see people complain that they are getting “tired.” Obama’s camp is depending on it. They are depending on wearing us down. Rely on us here if that begins happening to you.

DO NOT let us be led like sheep into the pen they want to put us into. HOLD ON and let us all rely on each other’s support.

  • StatBabe

sorry, no way he’s going to win mississippi. no way in hell. it will not happen.

Note that I said “might” win Mississippi, although I said that I would not bet on it! The ONLY reason that I mentioned Mississippi at all is because of the large proportion of AA’s in the state. If AA’s actually showed up to vote en masse in Mississippi and a quarter of whites were to go for Obama, he could actually end up winning Mississippi. I honestly do not see it happening since I have relatives in Mississippi, and NO WAY IN HELL are ANY of them going to vote for Obama. Hillary could not win Mississippi either, but at least, she could pull down Arkansas without breaking a sweat.

  • Hillary_is_Awesome

Great post! I like maps a lot, especially when they are colored because I cannot read very well. All I know is that whatever happens in November, it has been a lot of fun watching Hillary soldier on like Britney Spears. The best part of all this is that after all so bravely hanging on to Mark Penn and so intelligently appealing to Zionists and right-wingers by promising to obliterate another nation, Hillary is still not going to be the nominee. It’s like watching Brit-Brit hitting a pap car with an umbrella. You got to love it. Good show, everyone. Thanks, y’all.
