Obama’s Cousin Won’t Let Us Go After Terrorists

Looks like Barack has some more family problems on the horizon. Apart from waiting for the videotape of his wife, Michelle, to hit the airwaves (looks like October if he is the nominee), he now has his Kenyan cousin to worry about. Raila Odinga is the Prime Minister of Kenya. He is on the record espousing a political view that promotes Islamic law as the law of Kenya and has agreed to ban Christian broadcasts in Kenya. But more troubling is Odinga’s view that any Muslim residing in Kenya, visitor or relative, cannot be arrested or detained in Kenya for terrorism by any other country. So, if the men responsible for bombing the U.S. Embassy in Kenya in August 1998 are located in Kenya, Odinga is on the record denying the United States the chance to bring them to justice. Thankfully, he lacks this clout right now.

I find it astonishing that the press/media are generally ignoring the Odinga and Barack relationship. These men are cousins, at least from Odinga’s standpoint. And they have been in contact. Obama has been on the phone chatting with Odinga earlier this year during the Kenyan election brawl. Check out this video:
So why should we worry about Odinga? He is not a secular Muslim. Instead, he is committed to making Islamic law the law of Kenya. Last August, Odinga signed a pledge with the National Muslim Leaders Forum in Kenya. Here is a Raila Odinga MOU. I encourage you to read it.
This agreement is a security nightmare. For starters it calls for all Muslims residing in Kenya–and this includes Muslims from other countries–to be granted full National Identity Cards. Next, it specifically prohibits the Kenyan Government from turning over any Muslim suspected of “Terrorism or any other International crime” to a foreign govenment. And in within one year of his election, he promises to establish a “Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters.” Taken as a whole, these measures would make Kenya a safehaven for Islamic radicals–especially those who have attacked Americans. Until Odinga became Prime Minister, Kenya has been a reliable, responsible partner with the United States in battling Islamic extremists. Odinga has not yet been able to sunder that relationship, but he is on the record favoring terrorists who also happen to be muslim.
Barack also is getting is getting an indirect assist from Odinga in his Presidential campaign. Fox News Analyst, the toe-sucking, whoremonger Dick Morris, is frequently on air bashing Hillary Clinton. Before Dick started regularly bashing Hillary, he spent time in Kenya helping Barack’s cousin on a pro-bono basis. Here’s the evidence:

Why does someone like Morris sign up to work for a Muslim candidate that touts sectarian strife? And why is someone like Morris allowed to be on air trashing Hillary Clinton when he has such an obvious conflict of interest?
In any event, Barack has further explaining to do about the antics of his cousin. From cousin Odinga’s perspective, he’s got a hook into the United States if Barack is elected. Let’s get Senator Obama on the record once and for all denouncing the ravings of cousin Odinga.
