At least the GOP isn’t asleep at the switch, unlike … [TalkLeft + Campaign Updates]

… ahem, the idiots in the DNC, who are ready to follow Obama like lemmings over a cliff mostly because they’re so hung up about race that they think their only hope for expiating their “white guilt” is by nominating a sure loser. [THE TWO KEY UPDATES ARE AT THE END, and I plan to post them as their own story later.]

THERE ARE TWO KEY REASONS WHY THE GOP CAN BE CONFIDENT:

(1) The GOP has the one candidate, John McCain, who can win because of his attractiveness to independent-minded voters (whatever you want to call them, independents, Reagan Democrats, etc.); and

(2) Obama is the one remaining Democratic candidate who is easily TAKEN DOWN for any number of reasons: Weakness on national security, lack of knowledge of world affairs, the fear that military leaders have of him as CinC, his gullibility on dealing with the bad guys in the world, his many associations with known terrorists and far-left and/or Communist sympathizers (from Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn to Rashid Khalidi), his inability to speak without a teleprompter, his countless lies about his background in his books and statements, his anti-American and racist pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the rest of his homophobic, far-left “spiritual advisers,” his very unappealing and nasty wife Michelle, his OWN MESSIAH COMPLEX (yeah, i think it’s in his head that he’s a Messiah), and on and on.

(Just the thought of President Barack Obama being faced with an immediate national security crisis, and calling up his honey Samantha Powers for her long-winded advice, is enough to terrify any knowledgeable voter – and military leader. Come on … you really think they haven’t? … I’m just guessin’, but oh … there was that sabbatical she took from Harvard for a year just to work with Barack … while he was writing his second fictional autobiography … hmmmm … I wonder how much help he got with that one … )

NOW LOOK AT THIS, via Politico.com:

GOP strategists mull McCain ‘blowout’

[...]

But the contours of the electoral map, combined with McCain’s unique strengths and the nature of Obama’s possible vulnerabilities, have led to a cautious and muted optimism that McCain could actually surpass Bush’s 35-electoral-vote victory in 2004. Though they expect he would finish far closer to Obama in the popular vote, the thinking is that he could win by as many 50 electoral votes.

By post-war election standards, that margin is unusually small. Yet it’s considerably larger than either Bush’s 2004 victory or his five-electoral-vote win in 2000. …

As the latest electoral maps show (just a couple stories down), the GOP HAS IT RIGHT!

And, imho, they DESERVE to win if the Democrats are so f–king stupid as to give the nomination to a sure loser like Obama.

Here’s a bit more from this utterly fascinating article:

[...]

It is virtually impossible to find an established GOP strategist who believes McCain will win in a landslide. But in light of the circumstances, more than a few Republicans are pleasantly surprised to find that McCain is at all situated to defeat Obama.

“The broader environment clearly favors the Democrat,” said Whit Ayers, another veteran GOP pollster. But Ayers argued that “a state-by-state analysis actually makes McCain a narrow favorite to win the Electoral College majority.”

“That would certainly run against the grain of history, if he pulled that off,” Ayers added. “But it’s also clearly plausible and a manageable outcome partly because of John McCain’s strength among independents and partly because of Obama’s weakness in culture, ideology and association.”

Some Republican strategists can envision a scenario in which Obama wins the popular vote but loses in the Electoral College — he might galvanize Southern black turnout, for example, but still fail to switch a state in the region.

Among the 10 strategists interviewed by Politico for this story, there was near-uniform belief that had any other Republican been nominated, the party’s prospects in November would be nil.

“No disrespect to the other candidates,” said GOP pollster Glen Bolger, “but if anyone else had been nominated we’d be toast.”

GOP strategists mull McCain ‘blowout’

Newsweek Poll: Clinton Beats McCain, Obama Tied.”

Big Tent Democrat writes, among other things:

It appears that the issue is not so much Obama’s relative lack of appeal to white working class voters vis a vis typical Dems like Kerry (indeed, Obama exceeds Kerry’s white support), but rather it is Hillary Clinton’s strong appeal to that demographic. In other words, it is not that there is something wrong with Obama but that there is something RIGHT with Clinton.

Read all: “Newsweek Poll: Clinton Beats McCain, Obama Tied.”

You’d think that that would be important to party leaders, wouldn’t you.

You’d think that would be critical to sane leaders who really want to win and who really want to wrest control of the presidency from the Republicans.

You’d think that that would be essential to smart leaders who can recognize their own hang-ups with “white guilt” and look beyond to what is BEST FOR THE GODDAMN COUNTRY!

  • Beverly Leslie

I’m going to post this comment from another site. It is long but well worth the read.

    1) “the assumption that the VP slot came from Obama’s camp”
All the Clinton advocates you have mentioned are politicians and part of the Democratic machine. They have been floating the idea out of politeness and that’s about it. This joint ticket idea first got legs at the California debate. I think it’s apparent to most that Hillary would not be interested in playing second fiddle. Which is why when posed the question she has always hinted that an arrangement would put her on top of the ticket. What makes us assume that that the VP idea came from his camp. Is that the last batch of primaries have made it painfully clear that he desperately needs her and/or her voting blocks. She has consistently held crucial Democratic voting blocks: seniors, women, blue collar workers, white males, and latinos. Obama’s consistent voting blocks are African Americans and the Under 30 demographic. African Americans are the most loyal democratic voting block but only represent 12% of the voting population at best. The Under 30 group has empirically been the least reliable and most underrepresented voting block in our recent history. He must bring Hillary’s people into the fold, and one way you do that is offer a slot. Right now he needs her more than she needs him. She is not itching to be the assistant of one of the weakest and most inexperience candidates the Democrats have pushed forward. She’s looking at coming back in 2012 after a McCain win so she can say, “hate to say I told you so.”

    2) “disingenuous to be insulted at the VP offer”
It is disingenuous because as I stated above she is the choice of the crucial blocks Obama needs to win. In addition she has the popular vote, and is only technically out because two states don’t even count. Again I have to disagree that she has been behind in every measure that counted. This is again the naive obfuscations that the Obama team and his cheerleaders have been promoting. She has won 8 of the Mega Eleven states. The Obama team thinks they can defy logic and rewrite the rules but Rome wasn’t built in a day. The Mega Eleven states are accurate determinants of General Election electability. Lose more than seven and a landslide is guaranteed. Add to the fact that the only wins he has to speak of are in Red state primaries where the black democratic voting populace dominates or in Red state caucuses he will surely lose in the General Election. The only exception is his home state that will be blue and in his pocket. Wow what a winner.

What makes it particularly insulting is that the MSM, DNC and Obama still don’t get it. In no uncertain terms do some of us want Obama. Hillary voters, Independents and dissatisfied Republicans. With each passing day we peel the layers of the Obama onion and it’s enough to make you cry. I liked him when I knew little to nothing about him. But his team has twisted every opportunity to play the race card. And I say that as a black woman. He has also shown himself to be unprepared, uninformed, hypersensitive and unnecessarily arrogant. And let’s not even get into his growing list of creepy associates. Lay down with dogs and you wake up with fleas. Those of us that have read passages from his book, listened to the full sermons of his spiritual advisor and are awaiting more of more dirty laundry are none to pleased with the unvetted candidate being shoved down our throats.

    3) “villification of Obama and the nominating process”
This is understandably frustrating because these changes were tailor made for far left wing General Election losers. Is it any surprise that McGovern ran for president after he was in charge of reforming the nominating process in his favor. He had the second biggest loss in American history. To his credit he was a decorated Veteran with 9 years of experience in the US Senate. Compare that to Obama and try not to die of laughter. When he lost the Democrats unsurprisingly added more bureaucracy with the addition of Superdelegates.

I also disagree with the entrepreneurial vs. big corporate paradigm. While it is a fashionable myth of the little guy who comes out nowhere with his little start-up and a dream. That is rarely ever the case. Obama might be naive and play the underdog but he is heavily financed by those influential big donors you speak of. The difference is he presents the illusion of grassroots. And it’s very possible that all those little donations are intentional bundling coming from sources that would like to remain under the radar. But one of his funders via 527 MoveOn.org is George Soros. Which to me is not surprising considering Obama’s campaign is beginning to look more and more the color revolutions of Eastern Europe. Hillary is playing the game like her husband did you know the strategy that worked. Obama is focusing on the low hanging fruit the youth. Youth is just a euphemism for inexperienced, which is why they are unbelievably trusting, more susceptible to emotional appeals, can volunteer in disproportionate number, and twitter till they are blue in the face. They are your early adopters in a product cycle. Which is why advertising and marketing skews towards the Under 35 demographic even though Baby Boomers have way more discretionary income. What you are also neglecting to acknowledge is that major players like Microsoft, Coca Cola, Walmart and other giant companies are not at the top of the heap by accident. And they also tend to swallow those smaller innovative start ups that everyone over-romanticizes because of America’s ingrained love of the underdog.

I also think you’re overestimating the Obama’s utilization of Web 2.0 tools and brand marketing. Missing from all these breathless accolades of new politics and new media marketing is any analysis on some very old dynamics. One of those is traditional news media. I don’t think anyone could have predicted how in the tank MSM has been for Obama. I had heard the cries of liberal bias before but only during this election has it been so transparent. Even when I liked the guy and considered voting for him, I was aware that many of the pundits would contextualize and rationalize everything he would say and all under the guise of news. He would clearly lose in a hour long debate but the four hours of analysis afterwards was pro-Obama spin. Name me one product that has been introduced to the mass market that gets full promotion on most of the country 24 hour news channels. Yeah none. That subtle promotion is worth more than any 30-second spot or facebook add. Because it works as a multiplier giving the illusion of mass agreement and reaches most average voters who occasionally catch up on the news on the major news networks. It’s even more effective just after a debate. But that’s traditional media. That can be quantified, and if you dig around you’ll find reports that show overwhelming and disproportionate coverage of Obama. It may work to his advantage now but he runs a major risk of oversaturation. The other old dynamic at play that goes unnoticed is his big advantage in being young and black. His “look at me the patchwork quilt” story though has gotten old has been quite effective. But this has more to do with those motivated by low self esteem (African American voters) and white guilt (his non-black voting constituent). He has used his race as political teflon to avoid answering tough questions or be accountable for his actions. Shelby Steele has written at length on this phenomenon in the aptly title book, Why Obama Can’t Win.
I know people would like to think Axelrod has some marketing magic but I’ll believe it when I see it. His track record with two time presidential failure John Edwards tells me enough. Plus even from a marketing standpoint I’m not convinced Barack will cross the chasm. African Americans will stay in his pocket even though he has never said exactly what he will do for them and couldn’t be bothered to go pay his respects to MLK. And if his campaign goes without a hitch the youth vote will have an underwhelming turnout. These two groups were the early adopters with product Obama. And they have a vested interest in sticking their guns, since consumers hate admitting they’re wrong. But here’s where product Obama’s genius brand marketing seems off, at least to me.

    a) can’t close the deal = can’t “cross the chasm”
Crossing the chasm is moving from early adopters to the mass market. Obama’s early converts were supposed to be the new influencers but with every passing day they become more obnoxious and unconvincing. When the echo chambers of Huffington Post and Daily Kos are basically calling large swaths of the Democratic Party racists for not voting for their chosen one it does not bode well for their candidates GE chances. As a presidential candidate you can start far left but you have to eventually move center. And at no point can you have your evangelists insult your potential voters. Remember Julia Roberts with the snooty shopgirl. Big mistake.

Obama has a real problem moving from early adopter to mass market is analagous from moving from left to center.
His camp simply does not have enough time nor do they seem to have the initiative to move to the sweet spot. No presidential candidate can win without the center. There are a lot of puff pieces about Obama’s support with Independents and Republicans but his incoherent story is killing his chances

    b) Obama has an incoherent story. I
‘m not talking about his Dreams of his Father but the package he presents consistently. Remember when Gore was dressing in earth tones to appeal to soccer moms. It sounds crazy but those little things add up. Obama started off strong. He had a flashy sophisticated website, and the Soviet-style constructivist poster. He had celebrity endorsements, especially the Queen of Media herself Oprah. He appropriated the cadence of Martin Luther King, looked cool and modern by not wearing a tie, and played Motown songs to set the mood and warm up the crowds at his rcok-star rallies.

The problem is his wife, his reverend, and his Chicago dealings have made his story of transcendence inconsistent and unclear. The consumer doesn’t like to admit he’s wrong but there’s is hell to pay if you make him look stupid.
Which I don’t see him possibly losing Independents and Republicans because of these revelations but also hemmoraging at the sides with his own supporters. No one has the exact metrics but post Jeremiah Wright there has been buyer’s remorse among Democrats who voted for Obama in the early states. Even Republicans who voted for out of spite for Hillary hoping to prolong the battle feel betrayed. It might be easy to persuade the undecided but it’s impossible to influence the bitter. Which is why Hillary’s voting blocks keep hardening around her and Obama’s keeps losing some steam. Even in Oregon is winning margin was pretty small. Like number of people showing up for a free Decemberist concert small.

I’ve probably rambled way too much but bottom line:
Product Obama is running out of consumers, credibility, and time to move towards the center. He may have gamed the system. But he will lose the election.
What people on sites likes these are really frustrated at is not his rise but his eventual GE crash and burn and taking the whole party with him. His supporters and admirers can’t see the forest for the trees yet they expect party members to be happy about these developments. Since you are in the technology industry think back to the dot-com bubble.

All the Obama elements were there
    cash pouring in
shiny and new and looks great on the surface
belittled skeptics dismissed as out of touch
    new technology
    harnessed power of network effects
    exuberant young people
but ultimately instead of selling stock they sold air.

Sorry to burst your bubble but a VP change makes no difference for Obama. It’s like shuffling chairs on the Titanic. His stock is grossly overvalued and even if he gets the nomination, get ready for the Fall.

I’ve made two puns which is a sign that i’m tired and need to wrap up, and if anyone happens to read this sorry if it was all over the place. I didn’t get to say everything but it’s enough.

    Cheers.

It’s a no brainer. What Patriotic American will ever vote for a communist symphathizer when they can vote for a man who fought the communists in a war? The differences between McCain and Obama is like night and day (PUN INTENDED, before I am accused). McCain would protect America while obama will befriend the anti-American radicals and put America’s security at risk. And who in hell wants his “HOPE through HATE” crap? Time for CHANGE? You bet. If Obama is the future of the democratic party , then that party has no future and the TRUE DEMOCRATS will unite elsewhere–GUARANTEED!!!!

I won’t vote for Obama because he is a crook; a liar; he has used race in this campaign so that it has divided the country; he has slandered Bill Clinton, for what reason I don’t know; he has said the most outrageous things about Hillary that were just uncalled for. They weren’t about her policies, they were about her personally and they were lies. Obama is inexperienced, disin-genuous, inept, and a dirty politician. Those of you who would vote for him obviously haven’t done your own investigation or you would know the truth about Obama.

Obama has not distinguished himself in any way. Why would he even be a viable presidential candidate? Is it because he is black? If a white man or women with his experience tried to run for the U.S. senate, she/he would be laughed at. Obama was a state senator for 6 years; did not pass a bill until his final year when Emil Jones gave him all the other senator’s bills to put his name on. Then amazingly he passed 20 bills. Whooptee Do. When he finally became a U.S. Senator, he earmarked $300,000 worth of pork for Emil Jones. He was Rezko’s personal senator for 20 years and helped him set up his little kickback scheme with the hospital board and the teachers pension fund. And I am sure he took part in the kickbacks.

Why would you ask anyone to vote for him? He is un-American. Both he and his wife think exactly like Rev. Wright, and if you think they don’t, I have some land down here in Florida in the Everglades.

Wake up people and do your homework. His associations indicate he has no judgment whatsoever.

If Hillary isn’t the nominee, we must vote for McCain to keep Obama out of the White House.

I HIGH ADVISE YOU FOLKS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “WALK A MILE IN OUR SHOES” CAMPAIGN

Basically, get a pair of old women’s shoes (any), put them in a box and send them to the DNC with a nasty note telling the DNC leadership to count the Fl/MI votes, make a strong statement about the rampant sexism that has been going on in the media/press and then tell them that you will NOT vote for the democratic ticket if Fl/Mi are not counted, seated and allowed to participate like any other delegation in the Denver convention.

You have to do before May 31. Please it won’t cost a you a thing, just $3.5 as shipping cost.

My wife just got rid of all her old shoes and we sent the DNC 12 boxes. Please do it.

Do you at least find it interesting that Republican sites like Redstate and Power Line are displaying more skepticism about this Politico article than you and Taylor Marsh are? It’s pretty sad when the wingnut sites sound rational compared to you. Perhaps you should take a step back, a deep breath, and look at things after a night’s sleep. You might realize that unnamed GOP sources can’t be that excited about their chances, especially when the best they have to say about McCain is anyone else would lose by more.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

yup, the GOP is starting to really perk up. They see a shot at this. Obama’s failure to close the deal and, in fact, lose ground among every core Democratic group except AA voters since February, has the money flowing into McCain’s coffers now.

I suspect McCain will also take the gloves off soon. I think the only reason to not really tear into Obama was a bit of party image repair work. Now? Who needs the image when you’ve got the actual power. *haha

I look for a juicy smear campaign from Republicans right around Puerto Rico just to keep the Democrat fight going. Republicans will seek to pump up the Clinton supporters and keep our spirits going so that Obama enters with a clear vote of NO CONFIDENCE from the Democratic Party regulars.

Then…da dum. Here will come the march of the trojans.

JUDGEMENT INDEED! All the elitist who invested millions in Obama and all the college voters who invested their pizza money in Obama. CONGRATULATIONS, your stock is about to tank :)

) “Hillary Clinton is more in the tradition of Elizabeth Dole and other wives of successful elected officials who follow in the wake of their husband’s success. Her candidacy is more also reminiscent of dynastic politics, much like Indira Ghandi and Benazir Bhutto who gain their legitimacy through legacy, as opposed to their own individual achievements.

If you actually studied women’s history you would understand that for countless women the only way to such achievment has been through blood relation or marriage because that is the only way they are given a chance in a male dominated society. It is a negative reflection on these women and does it diminish their ability? No. It is a negative reflection on our patriacral society? Yes.

You bring up Eleanor Roosevelt and what you fail to understand is she would back Hillary 100%. So please take your own advice and work on your judgment.

“but her current race-baiting, unprincipled campaign (vote for me I’m white!)”

This comment is the epitome of your ignorance and small mind. Had you been paying any attention at all you would have realized long ago it has been the obarfbag campaign that has been doing the race baiting thus creating a primary that has drawn strong divisions in the party and the electorate. Please, oh, please, take your ignorance elsewhere where you and other like minded thinkers may wallow in oblivion.

  • TeakWoodKite

4+ million white people that guilty

    YES they are!

  • Helen

Barack Obama is a racist pig and so are you. You sound like the other little brats that can barly read. Your boy cannot get 51% of the white vote and he is a sissy boy. It is Barack Obama and his punk campaign and self who are riduculas. You cannot force the Americian People to accept these idiots who thinks there is 57 states and doesnt even know what state borders his own. Thats right neither do most of his supportors.

  • Strawberry

Bullshit, drippydick. I was a delegate at a caucus, I saw what happened. One of you little twerps almost got his scrawny neck snapped. You bullied little old ladies and the more timid folks. You can’t bully me. Barky will never survive the GE. McCain will kill him.

  • Strawberry

Just keep singing that tune, little one. You don’t need me or my delegate count next November, right?

  • fooj

No. it is YOU who needs to grow up and open those starry eyes of yours. You have been had. Set up. Used. Taken for a big, long ride in Little Lord Obama’s buggy.

South Carolina ALSO broke the rules. Take that total away from Little Lord Obama and HE WAS NEVER THE FRONTRUNNER. Geez…wonder how THAT all came about? It’s fairly obvious why it was so important to withhold Florida’s and Michigan’s vote.

I hear LULAC is all over this bullshit as I type. Good luck with the con game. It’s just about over. Too bad FACT still trumps fiction, baby.

BTW- why don’t you check out Texas and their 41% reporting totals. They haven’t changed since Mar. 10th. Looks like you’ve got the SNOOZING problem. Better wake up and cash those paychecks quick. Rumor has it that Lake Obama is drying up.

  • Hope

    Hussein,
Does the dose of reality you’re getting create your cordial temperament? It sounds as though you are pretty upset that no matter what you say, Obama cannot get back the voting block he has alienated.

  • Beverly Leslie

    If she has “lost” like you so eloquently put it. Why are you here and what is your purpose? To further alienate her base? Smart move on your part. The reality is;

I think we are seeing a wonderous CHESS GAME in progress. Though Obama is apparently the more powerful player, because has more pieces on the board and in play, Hillary has the stronger strategic position. If she does not resign prematurely and makes it to the end game–which is Denver — Obama’s current advantage will evaporate. His pieece-strength (pledged delegates)will not help him in Denver. That is so because the super delegates, who cannot cast their actual vote UNTIL DENVER are free to change their mind and vote their own best judgment when Denver comes around. And, by that time she will have shown to the satisfaction of most of the SDs that Obama is too flawed a candidate to win the GE. I believe that is Hillary’s roadmap to victory. Moreover, the road to Denver cannot be shortened (if Hilllary does not want it shortened) because Obama, for all his lauded strengtn, does not have enough pledged delegates to win short of Denver!

Hillary’s (chess)game right now is to demonstrate, by whatever moves and strategies and chess pieces still available to her, that that she can win against McCain and Obama cannot. The present VP-rumor — “Hillary VP maybe, maybe not” — is a step in that direction. I think it may well be a very clever gambit that is placing a severe strain on Obama’s strength in chess pieces, if not actually holding the king himself in “check” right now. If Obama moves toward offering her the VP, he signals awareness of his weakness which, in turn, empowers Hillary as she has no obligation to accept such offering and will no doubt decline it. On the other hand, if he moves to NOT offer her the VP, he signals arrogance, lack of realism and inability to make needed amends. This also is a plus for Hillary who is then free to move away from appeasement with Obama and forge her own way to Denver.

The beauty of the VP gambit is that, while his position is disadvantaged no matter which way he moves, she is unaffected by whatever way he moves, as she has debunked any talk of interest being Obama’s VP. The gambit is for the consumption of the super delegates who are watching the game with intense interest.

That is the reality and this is why you are here. Get a life loser!!!!

Obama will need to rig the election in November if he wants any chance of winning.

I am sure there is atleast one state that can rig its vote for him.

  • Northwest rain

    Well said!!

    Thanks Susan –

And yes Obama’s thugs were at the caucuses EVEN the small rural, backwoods, remote caucuses. TRAINED thugs. I know because my MA is in group dynamics and I was taught all the methods and I know a trained agitator when I see one in action. There were THREE trained agitators in my tiny rural district.

Which tells me that Obama has MILLIONS to spend — the amount spent in dominating caucuses — several hundred in signs and posters at this caucus. This has never occurred to this extent in WA state.

Obama went out and bought up caucus votes — so a huge percentage of Obama’s numbers are corrupt.

    Caucuses should be outlawed, banned.

  • http://thehorizontalworld.blogspot.com/ Mary Jo Kopechne

    susanunpc, great post, thanks.
Why are the kool-aid drinkers so hostile today? That usually means they’re smelling defeat.

I’m worried that they’ve all reached toxic levels of hope/change mix and will explode forthwith, blowing dumbass feces all over the place.

Or maybe they’ll jump off the cliff first.

If it comes to it, I am going to watch with joy as the GOP performs an alive autopsy on BO.

But I’m still betting on Hillary.

  • nightjar

You mean pussyfied Hillary voters in caucus’s let themselves get punked by them mean ole Obamabots.
I thought HC supporters were tough as nails. Guess not.

  • susan

    Dear manamongsthussein:
Well, once again susanunpc slams in your face the fact that women got both the right to vote AND freedom of speech! That just sucks, doesn’t it? Glad I’m not you, but if I were, I’d change that name…NOT ALLOWED TO SAY HUSSEIN, don’t you know???

  • http://www.arguewitheveryone.com ChrisXP

    Look, lemming:

Your candidate sent his thugs in to control the stupid, undemocratic party caucuses otherwise there’s NO WAY IN HELL he’d be in the running anymore.

You need to get a clue, dear.

    P.S. Fuck you.

    W00t!

    That’s a smackdown!

  • Northwest rain

    Yep– what Strawberry said.

I will NEVER EVER forget that caucus and the Obama Thugs. We do not need another HITLER with brownshirt thugs to enforce his whims.

  • nightjar

    “Strawberry”

eww Scareee. HC got her ass handed to her in the caucus’s because she mostly ignored them early ion, in liew of the expected coronation. No one bought the caucus’s. That’s just stupid whining. Grow up.

  • militarytracy

Politicians don’t gamble with people’s hearts. Stupid people can think their hearts are part of the package but those sort of voters soon go home crying because politicians are politicians. Obamacrats think they’re in love though. Caucuses are work. I will give you credit for that much honesty. They aren’t a very good reflection of the will of the people though and Obama still hasn’t legit won so perhaps if you disconnected emotionally from your love affair you could get intellectually honest about the rest of this race that is still underway whether you like it or not.

  • TeakWoodKite

What IP address you taking from Obama? or is the Axelrod?

because we won’t love you to death Susan
    ???

    Threat alert!

  • Susaninbosque

If you look at some of the background on Obama and Bill Ayers, there is a question as to whether Obama’s days as a “neighborhood organizer” were actually spent as training agitators…. Because of Larry’s focus of “how on earth did he decided to go to Chicago?” I began to look around at what seemed to have moved him to Chicago…. and I have spent a little time up close to Chicago politics and the corruption is simply blinding – it is breathtaking.

But my big question at the moment is why none of us saw that he would have the level of arrogance and corruption to just go BUY the caucuses?? If I hadn’t seen this happen before my very eyes, I would have been hesitant to believe it…. I began to be suspicious very early on – right after Iowa when I learned how he had bought Richardson’s supporters but I still didn’t think it could have been this bad…. but there were many, many, many clues out there.

The problem is: I want to believe in democracy and I want to believe in Democrats. Democracy, I hold fast to no matter what because O and company are corrupting American democracy faster than Bush could even think about it.

But the Democrats – I do not believe a thing any more and I am in mourning to some degree.

Thank you for this Susan because all of it is soo important.

  • mahaska

I live on an island and they were here messing with the caucus.

Its unfortunate that a bad man duped good people to believe in him.

    Just say No.

  • RalphB

Someone should contact Obama Central and request a replacement troll. This dumb asshat Manamongst Hussein seem to be abusive enough, but is boring as shit.

    ps: Fuck You

  • Susaninbosque

Beverly, you have summed this up wonderfully. I believe that the length of time until Denver is his complete and total downfall and it will be her total strength. Bill Clinton was only working that rumor to move it along.

There are way too many things just peeking around the corner at Obama which have yet to be seen fully that it is rather breathtaking landscape. Just the verdict in the Rezko trial will be worthwhile.

Fitzgerald has much up his sleeve and we have yet to see it all and that just ONE topic and there are many.

Never mind the levels of arrogance and corruption.

I want to know where in sulfuric hell he got the money to buy the caucuses?

I do not believe he got the bulk of it from a network of small donors.

  • nightjar

No — it’s preferable you vote with the wingnuts you’ve hopped into political bed with.

  • nightjar

Right. Your not going to vote for Obama anyway. So who gives a fuck what you do.
