Deny, distract, draw away.

Deny, distract, draw away. Let’s see how that works, shall we?
Today on Cavuto (Fox News), Jehmu Green, a Clinton spokeswoman and Sarah Flowers, an Obama spokeswoman, went toe to toe about the Keith Olbermann remarks.
Saying the Obama campaing was “desperate,” Green said they were “latching on” to the Keith Olbermann remarks and “bullying superdelegates” before all the votes have been cast.
Trying to get a response from the Obama campaign, the host switched to Sarah, saying that Senator Clinton was not letting the issue surrounding her remarks about Bobby Kennedy die, and that Senator Clinton issued a letter to the Daily News.
Sarah replied:
“I think the only people keeping that, that unfortunate statement alive are Senator Clinton’s campaign and the press.”
(That was the “Deny.”)
Jehmu Greene responds:
“Sara, Sara, are you kidding me? Because if you look at what happened after that statement, was made, Senator Obama’s campaign sent out Keith Olbermann’s remarks about it to the press. His campaign has been waging a war. . . ”
After Sara admitted the staff HAD been sending the KO stuff out, she tried to deflect the responsibility for it from the senator, saying, “Sure, the media has every right to have an opinion on this. But think about what Senator Obama is doing this weekend.”
(That was the “Distract.”)
Then comes the disclaimer that “this is a weekend we should be focusing on issues that actually matter, not on a statement like this.”
Then comes a swipe at Senator McCain and the GI Bill.
(That was the “Draw Away.”)
Jehmu reminds viewers that Senator Clinton still has an edge in popular vote and that head to head with Senator McCain, Senator Clinton is the best prepared.
The it’s Sara back to the “rules of the game.” Seems like the Obama has a good grasp of the “rules” since they are sending out press packets with Keith Olbermann’s remarks, saying the issue is over, it doesn’t matter and that “we should be talking about issues that matter.”
Jehmu acquitted herself quite well with Ms Flowers, and will most likely draw more ire from that “orange place” for her continued loyalty to Senator Clinton.
Also on the “deny, distract and draw away” tour related to the same “non-issue,” David Axelrod tried the same tactics on ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
Stephanopoulos called out Axelrod, saying:
“But a member of your press staff, yesterday was sending around to an entire press list, I have the email here, Keith Olbermann’s searing commentary against HC, so that is stirring this up, isn’t it?”
Axelrod responds that as far as the Obama campaign is concerned, the issue is over.
(Straight to the “Distract” followed, presumably, to the “Draw Away.” This guy is a pro.)
Here’s a question:
If your campaign is so strong, why are you sending out copies of Keith Olbermann? If you have said this matter is “over,” why are you continuing to send copies of Keith Olbermann? Is the Obama campaign just flat out of ideas?
