There is simply no way that America will put him into office. He named Wright as his mentor. I don’t care that he denies that today. Or that he distances himself.

He has to live by his own written word.

And he has yet to say that it was a mistake.

Wright is the reason he’s lost overwhelmingly in KY, WVA, and will lose again soon.

Wright is the reason his exit polls show her supporters will move to McCain.

And Wright is the reason even Carville is wrong.

Obama is Gary Hart. Wright is his “photo on the boat with the bimbo.”

Nobody has fully accepted this yet.

Oh my God! The archdiocese needs to pull that asshole out of his parish. Perhaps send him to a monastery with a vow of silence for a year.

That clinched it for me. I am going down ticket here in NC if Hillary is not the nominee. Kay Hagen is statistically tied with Dole. Hillary’s coattails would have helped Hagan now McCain’s coattails will help Dole as will I.

Actually, this Pfleger “sermon” is pretty mild. If one reads the source material on black liberation theology, one finds that the mere fact of being born caucasion makes one guilty of currently oppressing blacks.

My parents, for example, didn’t even immigrate to the U.S. until 1916 (father, as an infant) and 1946 (mother, as a young woman) so my ancestors were never involved in the American era of slavery (and considering where they immigrated from in Europe, were not likely to be European slave traders, either). However, under black liberation theology, since I am caucasion of European ancestry, I am the “beneficiary of slavery” and therefore guilty of currently oppresing all blacks in the United States, regardless of whether they themselves are descendents of slaves or are the product of post-slavery immigration, like I am.

Don’t believe me? Read Cone yourself. And then decide whether you want a President that believes this, or at the very least is willing to raise his children this way in order to punch his Chicago political tickets.

How very interesting that the very example of white privilege and female suppression , Father Pfleger, has a free ride in this church. Hearing a Catholic priest refer to a woman with venomous disrespect is hardly a ground-breaking experience. To those of us who reject male privilege, his hypocrisy is obvious. To those of us familiar with the world-wide suppression of indigenous people by the Catholic church, his hypocrisy is obvious. I wonder quite literally who Father Pfleger thinks he is?

Don’t be so sure Obama will lose if nominated. I think it will be the fight of our lives to keep him out of the WH.

As honest people we expect to be able to make reasonable predictions about how events will occur based on our own honesty and our belief in the honesty of others. The people supporting Obama are not honest and do not feel the need to be, but they are powerful.

The festering sore that is Chicago politics and Universities gave us Straussian neo-cons (it is ok to lie to stupid people), Alinsky (don’t know much about this – divide and conquer?). What else is waiting it’s chance to crawl out of that cesspool? Con ED? Have you noticed ads on TV about the benefits of nuclear power, ads in your home town paper – I have.

So instead of Hillary’s green initiates to provide hundreds of thousands of American jobs and in both labor and research and millions of American homes becoming small, non-polluting. self sufficient power plants we will have two or three huge nuclear power plants, probably mostly run by robots.

Maybe more then two or three, after all power can be exported. We will all get to have huge ugly nuclear plants by our houses releasing nuclear waste freely and Tierra del Fuego will have lights and probably t-shirt factories.

As a Catholic, I am so revolted by this man that I can’t even watch them. That the Archdiocese of Chicago allows this man to be a priest is beyond reason. He is hate filled, horrid, egotistical and seems to have the same diseases as Rev Wright, including loving to hear himself speak, and needs to be defrocked.

Also, this issue of reparations for AA’s. What is Obambi’s official position? As far as I know (I may be wrong) he’s never addressed it. All bloggers and press people should demand an answer. Getting him to respond will be devastating for him, as it should be. Its another arrow in the Repub quiver, so it may as well be brought out now. Keep asking that question!

We ALL know how deceiving Obama is. When and if he were forced to ‘deny’ his church and it’s teachings (in order to gain more votes), then THAT is when we need to worry. By doing so, he’ll DECEIVE even more people. Sure, a person can ‘say’ anything, denonunce anything/anybody, and ask for ‘forgiveness’ – but in THEIR HEARTS they really don’t mean it.

Obama is fickle, inexperienced and sly; he has a very hateful, arrogant, bitter, ungrateful, selfish, racist wife whose only desire is to become First Lady, to become powerful, and in the meantime she can laugh at us behind our backs for voting them in office – and probably curse us as she, Obama and Wright did/do in their church!

I look for Obama to disown his church and pastor if the race gets tight with McCain. Beware of his lies.

Washington: Looking at the most recent Rasmussen daily polls, I see that Hillary manages a tie today against McCain, but Barack is down by five points to McCain. What piqued my interest was that while Hillary had a “highly unfavorable” rating of 32 percent (i.e., as I see it, people who never will vote for her) Barack was at 35 percent. On Jan. 30, as we entered primary season’s main show, Barack’s “highly unfavorables” were 20 percent and Clinton’s were 35 percent. Is this something superdelegates may be watching?

Paul Kane: I’ve spent the past several months talking to as many super-delegates as any reporter in America, I’d guess, since I cover on a day-to-day basis about 280 of them here on Capitol Hill.
I hate saying this, because all the Clinton people are going to flip out and say, You’re biased, you’re biased, you’re biased. So go ahead and flip out if you want, but the simple basic truth is that the super-delegates stopped paying attention to the Clinton-Obama race about a couple days after the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.

I sent the Youtube to Greta at Fox. I’m sure a hundred other people have, too. Will they run it? Who knows? I have no idea what anybody’s true agenda is anymore, which is why I’m planning on not voting this year. The Democratic party has to know we can’t win the presidency with this character as the nominee. I suspect that purging the Clintons from the party has become the goal now. Of course it won’t work.

What kind of “chuch” spends all its time whipping up hatred and racism? I look at this stuff, and I have to conclude that Obama really does not like white people. How in the world is he getting away with this?

Pfleger is a German name/word and means caretaker/male nurse. Not very fitting.

“Still posted on the website of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ is the much criticized article on Reverend Louis Farrahkan, published in the church’s Trumpet Magazine, the publication the brain child of the church’s leader and Senator Barack Obama’s spiritual advisor and longtime friend Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.

Some months ago the Farrahkan article came under scrutiny. Why was the church attended by presidential contender and headed by Barack Obama’s mentor publishing a favorable story on the controversial Reverend Louis Farrahkan in its magazine?

Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam is best known for making disparaging remarks targeting Jews, whites and homosexuals. Farrakhan’s bigoted and anti-Semitic rhetoric has included statements calling whites “blue eyed devils” and Jews “bloodsuckers” that controlled the slave trade, the government, the media and various Black individuals and organizations.

In 2006, Reverend Farrakhan blamed Jews and Israel for the war in Iraq, for controlling Hollywood and for promoting what he considers immorality during his February Saviours’ Day address in Chicago.
Here are some quotes from the Trumpet Magazine article: An Empowerment Interview, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakahn. The magazine is published and edited by Reverend Wright’s daughter.

“When Minister Farrahkan speaks Black America listens. Minister Farrakhan will be remembered as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African American religion experience. His integrity and honesty have secured him a place in history.” – Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.

“His leadership (Farrahkan) has evolved, and I believe the coming days will see him as a unifying force, calling real Christians, real Jews and real Muslims to come together on principles of truth and justice.”
– Father Michael L. Pfleger of St. Albans Church in Chicago

What are “real Christians, real Jews and real Muslims?” And who is Father Michael Pfleger? He is another longtime friend and mentor of Barack Obama and he is the activist Catholic priest from Chicago’s St. Sabina’s Church who joined with Jesse Jackson and his organization Operation Push in a rally in front of Chuck’s Gun shop, May 29, 2007, and exhorted the crowd to “drag” shop owner, John Riggio, from his shop “like a rat” and “snuff” him. The Reverend Pfleger went on to tell the crowd that legislators that vote against gun control legislation should be “snuffed” as well.

Would those legislators who should be “snuffed” include Rev. Pfleger’s good friend Barack Obama? Obama, in his recent remarks following the massacre of the students in North Illinois University said that he believes in the Second Amendment, but that there is plenty of room for added gun regulations. “There is an individual right to bear arms, but it’s subject to commonsense regulation,” Obama said, hardly a statement advocating strong gun control legislation.

But back to the Trumpet Magazine piece on Farrakhan, and Obama’s other good friend and mentor Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. Reverend Wright has long been the subject of controversy. Obama was questioned about the article and his association with Reverend Wright following its publication. Obama issued the following statement:
“I decry racism and anti-Semitism in every form and strongly condemn the anti-Semitic statements made by Minister Farrakhan. I assume that Trumpet Magazine made its own decision to honor Farrakhan based on his efforts to rehabilitate ex-offenders, but it is not a decision with which I agree.”

Like Obama’s now well-known “present” votes in the Illinois Senate, his statement by-passed a definitive reaction. Obama denounced Farrakhan, but he clearly refused to extricate himself from his association with Reverend Wright who is responsible for more gems such as:

Zionism has an element of “white racism” and the attacks on 9/11 were a consequence of violent American policies and proved that “people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West went on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns.”

Or this bit of history and innuendo: When [Obama’s] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Colonel Ghadafi with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.”

On the subject of the presidential candidate’s continued relationship with Reverend Wright, Obama’s top campaign aide, David Axelrod, pointed out that Obama often has said that he and his minister sometimes disagree. Farrakhan, Axelrod said, is one of those instances.

But is Mr. Axelrod’s answer adequate? Would it be acceptable for Senator Obama to continue his association with a friend whose good buddy is a rapist, or a serial killer? Why a self-described bigot?

Senator Obama’s website prominently features both Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. and Father Michael Pfleger and their testimonials for Senator Obama.

There are others in Barack Obama’s coterie of questionable associates They include indicted slumlord Antoin “Tony” Rezko, the Obama campaign contributor whose fraud trial begins March 3, 2008, which may shed some light on the shady real estate deal involving Mr. and Mrs. Rezko and Senator and Mrs. Obama house and adjoining land purchase, and who knows what else.

Equally intriguing is Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, purported friends, also unapologetic former leaders of the 1960’s Weather Underground, America’s first homegrown left-wing terrorist group that planted bombs in the Capitol and the Pentagon in the 1970s. According to news reports, Obama has been to Ayers home and accepted a $200 contribution to his campaign.

Rashid Khalidi, the PLO activist who is the Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies at Columbia University and head of that school’s Middle East Institute, is another Obama friend. In 2000, according to Ali Abunimah, a Hyde Park Palestinian-American activist, Professor Rashid Khalidi, a leading Palestinian-American advocate for a two-state solution and harsh critic of Israel, held a fundraiser in his home for Obama, who at the time was in the midst of what would prove an unsuccessful bid for the House of Representatives.

“He [Obama] came with his wife,” Abunimah said. “That’s where I had a chance to really talk to him. It was an intimate setting. He convinced me he was very aware of the issues [and] critical of U.S. bias toward Israel and lack of sensitivity to Arabs. … He was very supportive of U.S. pressure on Israel.”
Khalidi has been called a “blame-throwing Palestinian hack,” and has referred to Israel as the “occupiers” and calls AIPAC “the Zionist lobby.” He is also responsible for this assessment on Israel as a U.S. ally. According to Khalidi Israel is not a democratic ally but an “apartheid system in creation” and a destructive “racist” state. He has further accused Israel’s army of having “awful weapons of mass destruction – some supplied by the U.S. – that it has used in cities, villages and refugee camps.”
And of course there’s Senator Obama’s deep connection to Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley of that illustrious Chicago dynasty who continues the legacy of his political family as boss of Chicago.

Alone, these associations might not seem as astonishing as they are when viewed collectively. But Senator Obama has based his entire campaign on the fact that he’s a new kind of politician. Making alliances with unsavory characters that are politically suitable to attain a politician’s goal is anything but new, and in these instances appear downright smarmy and certainly point to a lack of foresight and good judgment.

From a political standpoint, should Senator Obama secure the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination he is certain to find that his questionable alliances will leave him extremely vulnerable to the Republican slime machine who will find Obama, if nothing else, guilty by association. And with the Republican’s, that’s enough to end the hope of any Democratic candidate’s chances to make it to the White House. Just ask John Kerry.”

What kind of Christianity is this?

I am Irish Catholic and i go to church every week and one of the tenet of my faith is you have to believe in forgiveness and work hard to find forgiveness in your heart and extend it to others. This Christianity that i am listening to is an angry Christianity based on revenge not love.

Moreover, my grand grandfather came to this country with nothing. He worked in the open mines of Western Virginia, Virginia and Kentucky. Back then, slaves didn’t work in coal mines because slaves were worth more than Irish. He worked hard, built for himself a tiny place in the sun and 2 generations later, his grandson graduated high school, went to college and became a lawyer. All his clients were dirt poor Irish. They had nothing to pay him with other than buckets of coal. So, where are these damn privileges that my grandfather and his father enjoyed that this damn ignorant priest talks about?

Give me a goddamn break. If this elections is going to be about reparation, you will have a rebellion on your hands. Not only he is going to lose, the democratic party is going to be in deep deep troubles and broken in multiple pieces. Don’t fool yourself folks, this Pfledger guy is talking about reparation. And mark my words, many are going to come out of the woodwork and claim that we need to pay for our ancestors’ mistakes. Well, I think this is significant because Obama himself has cited this man as one of his three mentors. Second, Obama has applauded the new pastor and is still a member of the church where actions like these seem to be commonplace. Many Americans, I’m sure, would like to know if he endorses and believes this kind of thing is accurate or appropriate.

When you’re running for President, most everything is fair game. Plus, when you make your religious status an issue (i.e. KY mailers, etc) then what is preached from the pulpit of your church is an issue. And this kind of hate speech should not be tolerated.

That’s just my two cents.

How about Reverend Wright’s rants were not an isolated thing but business as usual and Barack either bought into this garbage or willingly sat and listened to it just to further his political career. Then he claimed to have NO IDEA what was going on. And he only bothered to denounce Wright when Wright personally insulted Obama, so the hatred directed against whites was apparently no big deal to Barack. This is very damaging to him for the GE.

Citizen Obama can have whatever belief he wants. The President is supposed to be looking out for the interests of all Americans (unlike the shrub).
