The Christian Heresy of Barack and Michelle Obama

If you are shocked by the rantings of Falther Pfleger below, hang on to your hats. There are three videos below the fold of this article that you must see, which explains in detail Barack Obama’s religious beliefs. After you watch them I am sure most will agree that Barack and Michelle Obama have some explaining to do. Simply put, they are members of a church that is as much a heresy from genuine Christianity as Al Qaeda is a heresy of Islam. I realize I am touching a nerve in saying this, but it needs to be said.

I believe that “belief” matters. And if you will simply take time to understand the theology underpinning the church that Barack and Michelle Obama have attended for almost twenty years then you will realize why Barack cannot be President. It is based on an ideology of black supremacy and promotes a world view that demonizes white people. No one holding such views, even in the privacy of their pew or confessional, should be allowed anywhere near the office of the President. By the same token, a man who believes in white supremacy and demonizes black people should not be President. Some consistency here, folks.

Back in the sixties, George Romney, father of Mitt, ran for the Republican nomination. He was a Mormon and at that time Mormon theology held that black men could not be members of the priesthood because their skin color was evidence of their sin. Brigham Young said this:

“You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind …. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another curse is pronounced upon the same race—that they should be the ‘servant of servants’; and they will be, until that curse is removed; and the Abolitionists cannot help it, nor in the least alter that decree.”[16]

George Romney could never be elected President while being part of a church that held such views. Fortunately, for Mitt Romney anyway, the Mormons renounced the hateful views of Brigham Young. Well, I believe the same standard should apply to Barack. Here are the videos:

People are free to worship as they choose. I do not dispute the right of Barack and Michelle Obama to be members of a church, even if it is based on such a bizarre, hateful interpretation of history. But I also believe that Barack’s decision to willingly affiliate himself and his children with this kind of religious extremism disqualifies him to be president. People can change. Maybe Barack has grown up. But like the Mormons, he must renounce and reject the twisted theology he once accepted. He says words matter. That is true. But what you believe in your heart also matters. The afrocentric liberation theology of Cone and Wright and Pfleger is despicable theology and has no place in the Oval Office.

        A) What is liberation theology? Who are its founders? Why did the CIA while Larry worked there specifically target it? Who is Frei Betto?
        B) What specifically empirical evidence is there that this has anything to do with some nonsense like “Black Supremacy”
        C) What in terms of this theological practice, as well as theory, “demonizes” white people (As opposed to racist whites)? Is Larry suggesting that there is no such thing as white skin privilege?

                    I was introduced to Liberation Theology in Philosophy class by a former Jesuit theologian from Latin America in 1984…That Jesuit put us through the wringer and we argued it for an entire semester using every concievable
                    moral, historical, political and philosophical as well as theological argument and he got us every time using Socratic dialogue and plain logic…I have no doubts as to what it is…I have been reading about it since that class and he was so good I took two more philosophy courses that were not required….If anyone wants a real challenge have a discussion with a Jesuit…chuckle
                    It is easy to get confused but there were mixed results in Latin America…My agument is the distortion of the theology which is HERETICAL and the usual exploitation of the Poor which is the usual result of Marxism….

                      I too was raised Catholic – went to Catholic School K – 12, and had Notre Dame nuns (straight out of the inquistion)

                      My mother tried twice to force me into a Catholic Girls College and I wouldn’t go. Mom stated I’d have to pay my own way if I didn’t go to school of her choice.

                      So I did oay mmy own way, and over time eventually ended up with a PhD. Wish I had Jesuits – I know they are good.

                      No apology necessary – just the raw hate in these tapes is sickening and encite negative emotions and reactions.

                      As an educator, I don’t know whether to scream at the tootsky’s of the world, or go all the way back and bit by bit try and get them to look for FACTUAL information.

                      In addition to the raw hatered, it truly bothers me that Leprosy is now “just a skin disease” , like having a certain color of skin.

                      The ancients, as you know, did not know about bacteria, and it was highly contagious. With this kind of gross mis-information floating around, we could end up with a rebirth of several diseases (plagues?) due to stupidity and ignorance.

                      By the way – love your posts – the Jesuits helped you become a fascinating thinker, and excellent writer.

          Obviously tootsky troll you do not understand the difference between the words theology and ideology.

          Theology – comes from the word Theism and is how mankind represents his belief and respect for the Supernatural, Divne, Creation or God (pick a word) For example: Catholics genuflect on one knee and make the sign of the cross in facing an alter. Jews wear skull caps in a synogogue. Muslims face east and pray on their knees.

          These are examples of how theology manifests and is ALWAYS related to the Spiritual.

          Ideology – comes from the word ideas and is related specifically to the ideas that are the basis of Political or Economic Philosophy’s. Kensian Economics, or Maoist governance are examples.

          If you use google (and no, I will not do your work for you) you will find that Obama’s Church has as its basis no “Middle classness” and Afro-Centricsim among other things. Those are Economic and political ideas and have NOTHING to do with the Spritiual or divine.

          Hence Black Liberation Thology is a misnomer, and it should be labeled Black Liberation Ideology.

          Marxism or Socialism are the PC words that came into use as synonyms for Communism, after the excesses of McCarthism. Marxism or Socialism is the same product as Communism, just has a different label.

          Now after you research the values and principles of Trinity, the Black Panthers and Nation of Islam, you can google Black Liberation Theology – and perhaps you may just learn something.

                  The works of Greg Grandin on Latin America aer a good overview of the fight by the right wing of the Catholic Church and CIA against liberation theology. Noam Chomsky is also informative here, as are even historians opposed to LT, including Ratzinger himself.

                    Your argument here is a classic example of an either-or fallacy. You attempt to make the ludicrous assertions of Liberation Theology seem more palatable by arguing that you must either support it or support the “massacre hundreds of thousands in Latin America.” Obviously, other options exist here.

                    A similar either-or argument might be that one must be anti-communist or else support the mass slaughters committed by Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and other tyrants.

                    Liberation Theology, in this case Black Liberation Theology, fosters divisiveness and hatred toward others by asserting that all people fall into two categories (oppressor and oppressed). Black Liberation Theology takes this extreme idea even further by asserting that being being an oppressor, or an oppressed, is not based on your actions but by your race.

                    Obviously opposing this ideologically rationalized racism does not imply support of oppression.

Cone adds the theory of Racial Supremacy and alters any actual history in the Biblical identification of Jesus…example although Jesus was a Jew and semetic he becomes a Black man in the image of Anwar Sadat.       On the matter of the military service of Charlie Payne, the great-uncle of Barack Obama:

      His full name is Charles Thomas Payne and he IS the uncle (the term “uncle” has in fact been used even for great-uncles in that family) who served in the Army in the 89th Infantry during WW II and suffered severe enough PTSD that, after coming back from the war, he isolated himself at home for some time.

      Charles recovered, attended college and to this day is an active, mentally vital, 83 year-old resident of Chicago.

      This information was obtained tonight from a phone conversation with members of the Payne family and is being posted to correct the mis-information that is swirling around the internet.

      CORRECT info:
      1. Charles’ middle initial is “T”, not “W”;
      2. he did have what is now termed PTSD; and
      3. he was so traumatized by what he encountered during the war, that he in fact did isolate himself at home for a lengthy period of time.

      Charles is the second of FOUR Payne siblings:

      1. Madelyn Lee
      2. Charles Thomas
      3. Margaret Arlene
      4. Jon Virgil, (born 1937, which is why there is no listing for him in the 1930 Census of Augusta City, Butler County, Kansas. This census has been the only source offered for “Payne sibling info” oin all of the genealogical sites cited by those interested in this story.

      I suspect that the listing for Charles E. Payne of Kansas is in fact the record for Charles Thomas Payne. I believe the scribe probably heard “E” instead of “T.” That type of error is frequent in census records and in military records where the info is provided orally:

      When I was in college I had a French class with an AA guy who espoused the “white guilt for slavery” angle at every opportunity.

      His parents were from the French West Indies and he spoke French fluently. As a result, he didn’t have to buy the textbooks to ace the class.

      When he came to class he usually wanted to see someone else’s textbook – ususally mine. And he wasn’t polite about it. A smart guy but it seemed to me he went out of his way to be annoying.

      He offered his black liberation speeches regularly although that class had nothing to do with the history of slavery.

      Teacher and students were afraid to say a word or be damnned as racists.

      One day after one of his “white guilt” inducing speeches, he once again ordered, “Give me that book.”

      My expression clearly relayed by opinion of him. He says really loud, “You don’t like me do you Susan?” Teacher froze to the spot. Students went pale.

      Equally loud I say,”Right. I don’t like you. However you’ll assume it’s because you’re Black. But the truth is I don’t like you because you act like an a-s-s-hole.”

      Silence.

      And then he laughs — loud. He laughs and says, “I was wondering when someone would call me on it.”

      We became buddies after that. He even helped me pass French (I’m terrible with foreign languages).

      I realized then AAs do not particularly want you to “be nice to them” solely out of white guilt.

      Although some of my AA friends admit they’ll exploit white guilt to get what they want, however they don’t respect or trust white folks who are “being nice” solely out of guilt for America’s slavery history.

      I refuse to be manipulated by white guilt. The Obama campaign can try — but I refuse.

        Hearing this kind of thing just gets me all kind of annoyed. Are there legions of psychic AA’s that can read my mind and differentiate between my normal nice and guilt nice?

        I’m nice to people. Not just black people, every kind of people. I smile at people and say hello when I make eye contact. I help people who’ve dropped things. I thank people when they hold a door for me and I hold doors for other people. I excuse myself when I pass in front of people. It’s called common courtesy and apparently it’s so rare in this country that no one can believe a person would be polite just to be polite.

        Do I need to be afraid that if the other person is black, that they are secretly sneering at me for falling all over myself to be nice out of white guilt? Do I need to wear a sign that I’m not a white apologist, just someone that was raised to have manners?

        I’ve never heard of anything like this before. These people who are screening for the appropriate level of guilt-free nice must be exceptionally jaded people if they can’t just appreciate that there are still some polite people of any color in this society. We should be encouraging common decency, not examining it for ulterior motives.

        On the matter of the military service of Charlie Payne, the great-uncle of Barack Obama:

        His full name is Charles Thomas Payne and he IS the uncle (the term “uncle” has in fact been used even for great-uncles in that family) who served in the Army in the 89th Infantry during WW II and suffered severe enough PTSD that, after coming back from the war, he isolated himself at home for some time.

        Charles recovered, attended college and to this day is an active, mentally vital, 83 year-old resident of Chicago.

        This information was obtained tonight from a phone conversation with members of the Payne family and is being posted to correct the mis-information that is swirling around the internet.

        CORRECT info:
        1. Charles’ middle initial is “T”, not “W”;
        2. he did have what is now termed PTSD; and
        3. he was so traumatized by what he encountered during the war, that he in fact did isolate himself at home for a lengthy period of time.

        Charles is the second of FOUR Payne siblings:

        1. Madelyn Lee
        2. Charles Thomas
        3. Margaret Arlene
        4. Jon Virgil, (born 1937, which is why there is no listing for him in the 1930 Census of Augusta City, Butler County, Kansas. This census has been the only source offered for “Payne sibling info” oin all of the genealogical sites cited by those interested in this story.

        I suspect that the listing for Charles E. Payne of Kansas is in fact the record for Charles Thomas Payne. I believe the scribe probably heard “E” instead of “T.” That type of error is frequent in census records and in military records where the info is provided orally:

Is it possible that by continuing to attack people and accusing them of racism do you raise the chance that the attacked person may come to feel disgust with you and transpose those feelings about you onto the race that you are accusing them of hating?

                So, if you think these are possible outcomes of your actions, are you helping race relations or are you regressing progress that has been made?

                If one was to accept the above questions as feasible and possible, then would it not also be a possibility that your actions and words are helping you make the oppression you so fear become more of a reality?

                I’ll say it one more time hate begets hate. If you hate me that really raises the chance that I’m going to hate you back.

        I believe that if you forward these videos to the Southern Poverty Law Center, that they will tell you that the language of liberation theology as carefully presented herein proports the betterment of one class of people at the cost to another class of people. How different is it from that of the groups that they do track that perform acts of hate against – African Americans, people of Hispanic descent, gays, Asian Americans, ….
        The process of hate BEGINS at the point where individual persons are treated as objects, part of a class. SPLC will call it as they see it. I am not sure that Black Liberation Theology (under the guise of being “Christian”) will come out so well in their balance.

    Cone’s Black Liberation Theology made sense when it was created in the 60s during our time of horrific racism in this country. To you young folks, I was there…and it was bad. Really bad.

    The country has moved on and evolved…and it is ready to evolve further.           Obama doesn’t get my support as a Democrat because he’s clearly not prepared for the job. Hillary caused an uproar when she said that, but she was right. Bill and Hillary both have said the hard stuff that needed to be said in this campaign, often to great press reaction.

            The problem with Marxism is that like any rigid philosophy it leads to Puritanism..which in turn leads to Totalitarianism…Fundamentally as flawed as our system is it is because of the elasticity of application that allows our system to right itself in accordance to foundational principles…this and the simple fact that we do not have an aristocratic class system which prohibits social mobility. It is this system of social suffocation that Marx railed against but his own solution results in it’s own tyranny at the expense of the Individual…which of course illogically ignores human nature which is an interesting balance between the competitive and the charitable, amongst many other things….imho

In this sense since Islam was never part and parcel to either Judaism or Christianity it is not a heresy imho…Christianity was originally a Jewish Heretical sect and as such an abomination accordng to Jewish Law and Tradition…Islam is much younger than either Judaism or Christianity and borrowed the Old Testament as a referential starting point to gain legitimacy for it’s new doctrine….This was a common practice as Christians ( heretical Jews and Pagans ) incorporated both Judaism and Greek Mysticism in the development of Christology. It is this Christology that formed the schism with Judaism….
      IMHO to say that Islam is a Judeo – Chritian Heresy would be akin to saying that Buddism is as well…they are not related just different…

          Agreed…Judaism has a rich tradition of retelling stories in the Torah in order to maintain Theological consistancy and legitimacy of later prophecies…Saul a Jewish Scholar and pharisee was well versed in this skill and understood it’s importance to the interpretation of the Torah. When Saul became Paul, it was he who used this ancient cultural device to define Jesus as the culmination of prophetic events by introducing Christology….Thus both the Torah and the New Testament have continuity which was vital for adoption of the New Faith…Kinda like instant legitimacy….Mohammed simply adopted a similar device…Joseph Smith used his own variation when he wrote the Book of Mormon…that is he ” borrowed a few bits and corrected them to fit his thesis ”

It is the class of the people in power vs. the proletariat, and it happens with every marxist society. In order to control the proletariat you use the KGB, massive deportations, murder of family members in front of thier families, splitting up of families, suppression of the press, language and culture, and use the oppressors culture in place of that of the oppressed entirely.

Hillary Clinton and presidential nominee front-runner Sen. Barack Obama.

    It may take a Solomon-like decision to appease both candidates.

    Clinton has argued the primary results of two of the nation’s largest states should count because otherwise millions of voters are being disenfranchised. Obama has said he is willing to work out some compromise.

    But he is insistent the primary results are invalid since the two states failed to follow party rules and the rules are the rules.

    The DNC has not seated the Florida and Michigan delegates because the two states violated party edicts in holding their primaries early.

    Although neither candidate campaigned in the two states, Clinton won about 50 percent of the Florida vote, compared to 33 percent for Obama. She won 55 percent of the vote in Michigan, where Obama’s name was not on the ballot.

    In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago’s gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

    As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of new voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.

    The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.

    “That was Chicago politics,” said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. “Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right?” Kass said. “It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race he made sure voters had just one choice.”

    Obama’s challenge was perfectly legal, said Jay Stewart, with the Chicago’s Better Government Association. While records of the challenges are no longer on file for review with the election board, Stewart said Obama is not the only politician to resort to petition challenges to eliminate the competition.

    “He came from Chicago politics,” Stewart said. “Politics ain’t beanbag as they say in Chicago. You play with your elbows up and you’re pretty tough and ruthless when you have to be. Sen. Obama felt that’s what was necessary at the time, that’s what he did. Does it fit in with the rhetoric now? Perhaps not.”

    The Obama campaign called this report “a hit job.” They insisted CNN talk to a state representative who supports Obama, because, according to an Obama spokesman, she would be objective. But when we called her she said she can’t recall details of petition challenges, who engineered them for the Obama campaign or why all the candidates were challenged.

    But Will Burns does. Now running himself for a seat in the Illinois legislature, Burns was a young Obama volunteer during the presidential candidate’s first race.

    Burns was one of the contingents of volunteers and lawyers who had the tedious task of going over each and every petition submitted by the other candidates, including those of Alice Palmer.

    “The rules are there for a reason,” Burns told CNN.

    He said challenging petitions is a smart way to avoid having to run a full-blown expensive race.

    “One of the first things you do whenever you’re in the middle of a primary race, especially in primaries in Chicago, because if you don’t have signatures to get on the ballot, you save yourself a lot of time and effort from having to raise money and have a full blown campaign effort against an incumbent,” Burns said.

    Burns said he believed Obama did not enjoy using the tactic to knock off Palmer.

    “It was not something he particularly relished,” Burns said. “It was not something that I thought he was happy about doing.”

    But Obama did it anyway, clearing the field of any real competition.

    Obama’s staff would not comment on what the senator thinks about that petition challenge now. Instead, it referred CNN to this 2007 comment made by Obama to the Chicago Tribune.

    “To my mind we were just abiding by the rules that had been set up,” the senator is quoted in the Tribune. “My conclusion was that if you couldn’t run a successful petition drive, then that raised questions in terms of how effective a representative you were going to be.”

    But in that same newspaper story Obama praised Palmer.

    “I thought she was a good public servant,” he said.

    Palmer, who has campaigned for Clinton, told CNN, she did not want to be part of this story. Obama supporters claim Palmer has only herself to blame since she indicated she would not run for the 1996 state Senate and instead aimed for Congress. After losing in that bid she returned to running for the state Senate seat — a move Obama supporters claim amounted to reneging on a promise not to run.

    But Palmer supporters, who did not want to be identified, said she never anointed Obama as her successor and the retelling of the story by Obama supporters is designed to distract from the fact he muscled his way into office.

    One other opponent who Obama eliminated by challenging his petitions, Gha-is Askia, said he has no hard feelings today about the challenge and supports Obama’s presidential aspirations.

    But back at the time he was running for state Senate, Askia said he was dismayed Obama would use such tactics.

    “It wasn’t honorable,” he said. “I wouldn’t have done it. That’s what I am saying.”

    He said the Obama team challenged every single one of his petitions on what Askia called “technicalities.”

    If names were printed instead of signed in cursive writing, they were declared invalid. If signatures were good but the person gathering the signatures wasn’t properly registered, then those petitions also were thrown out.

    Askia came up 69 signatures short of the required needed to be on the ballot.

    Kass, the Chicago Tribune columnist, said the national media is naive when it comes to Chicago politics, which is a serious business.

    He said they have bought into a narrative that Obama is strictly a reformer. When the truth, Kass says, is he is a bare-knuckled politician. And using the rules to win his first office is part of who Obama is.

    “It’s not the tactics of ‘let’s all people come together and put your best ideas forward and the best ideas win,’ ” Kass said. “That’s the spin, that’s in the Kool-Aid. You can have some. Any flavor. But the real deal was get rid of Alice Palmer.

    “There are those who think that registering people to vote and getting them involved in politics and then using this tactic in terms of denying Alice Palmer the right to compete, that these things are inconsistent. And guess what? They are. They are inconsistent. But that’s the politics he plays.”

    And this weekend DNC delegates will have to decide what kind of rules it will invoke in helping choose its next candidate.

    It is effectively a DISMANTLING of the Great Seal. The more I read and see, especially these videos, it becomes clearer that BO has some vision of dismantling the America that is and creating the America that fits in with his ideologies (whatever that ideology is, b/c I think it’s clear that it’s not what he says it is, but it’s something more in keeping with these videos)

    Look at the BO graphic, really study it. If it seems innocuous at first, really look at it again, look at the details. It’s eerie, creepy, and perverse. It is the Great Seal, basically, dismantled.

    It has all the elements but it has been deconstructed, and is slapped over with a BO logo. Notice the olive branches (sign of peace) and arrows (sign of war kept in check) have been dropped and are strewn about. And that the flag/armor is pierced with one of the arrows. There is a cloud of smoke surrounding the elements. And it’s almost as if the eagle looks like a vulture. The eagle is usually supposed to be facing forward, and looking in the direction of the olive branch, but it’s turned it’s back, and is looking over its shoulder — it looks like the eagle/vulture is about to fly off, leaving destruction in its wake.

    To me the more I look at it, the more disturbing it seems.

    It just doesn’t seem like the graphic is an accident, but rather, it’s meant to communicate something very specific. I think Mr. BO has something very specific in mind if he should step into the White House.

    What’s wrong with the first part of the Pfleger video? If you don’t feel any guilt over America’s history of racism against blacks, you either don’t think of yourself as an American, are historically illiterate, or think that there was nothing wrong with slavery and Jim Crow – i.e. are a racist yourself. If you identify as an American, you don’t get to take pride in the good without feeling guilt over the bad. At least that’s this American child of immigrant’s feeling. And the same goes for me with my Polish identity. Furthermore, it’s pretty obvious that the legacy of institutionalized racism has a lot to do with the huge disparity in average wealth between blacks and whites.

    The second part is pretty obnoxious and unfair to Hillary – she’s pissed off in the same way that any politician with seniority and greater experience would be, nothing to do with racism.

Only the most “historically illiterate” would forget that only a tiny percentage of Americans ever held slaves, that there were more abolitionists than slave holders.

          Your first question is a good one. I think it is right to take some small pride in the fact the ideas of democracy, the Constitution, etc. are still around. However, pride implies a personal responsibility. We are not responsible for anything, good or bad, that happened before our births.

          It would be rather silly to take a personal pride in historic events, as if you had anything to do with them. You might feel a pride in a close relative who fought in WWII but gratitude is a far more appropriate emotion for Memorial day.

          As for the Germans – absolutely not. It was not the fault of anyone born after WWII. I really doubt that most young Germans feel guilty about WWII. They didn’t when I was there in the 80s, though it was PC among the rather small Green Party to assert such guilt.

            Expressions of guilt are pretty much required of any politician in Germany right left or in between. As for run of the mill Germans, my experience was rather different and more recent. Might have something to do with my ethnicity and field which makes such conversations more likely. On the first question, a reasonable position, but most Americans seem to take pride in the historical accomplishments of their nation and politicians express that pride very frequently.

              Having lived in Berlin for 13 years (studied there)and traveled through most of Germany I found that most young Germans did not feel guilt. Those were not choices they made, and not choices they could understand. After the wall came down the neo-nazi movement became more visible, and was/is prevalent in what was east germany. I found it interesting that a marxist society would give birth to neo-nazis. It is an expression of the frustration that east Germans continue to feel regarding the disparity between their standard of living and west germany’s. As for guilt – I too am the child of immigrant parents who escaped the third occupation of their country, “sealed” by the Yalta agreements with the elp of the Western Powers. They lost everything and lived in DP camps where the food, their food was sold on the black market by Allied soldiers. Once they arrived they were discriminated against and mistreated. They had not wanted to leave their homeland, they had never had anything to do with sleavery there or here, and did not feel that they should feel guilty.

              They did not enjoy the fruits of anyone’s labor but instead worked very hard in factories etc. and did not die with any wealth.

He offered Economic prosperity and for his country to regain it’s former prominence. He offered to restore the ancient Ideals of his countrymen. Once in office he changed the political platform of his party. He engaged the Youth in patriotic corps of his New Party and with the musclemen of his backers began to enforce the New Party vision for his ideal of the restoration of the Country. Soon it became a matter of fact that in order to live within the New Country you had to be a part of it….You were either for the New Ideal or you were against the New Ideal.
    Critics were silenced…Opposing Factions were eliminated…Property was seized and whole populations were relocated and isolated. Churches were silenced through threats of intimidation…The Democratic Republic ceased to exist…This happened in Berlin 1933 where the Birth of FASCISM occurred in Germany which until then was a Democratic Republic under extreme economic distress…FASCISM SWEPT THE GLOBE…IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN….

I have the books with photos of the posters documents and letters. Of course he did not keep his promises and instead subjugated the peole under a horrible occupation/dictatorship.

    As a white child of the middle class suburbs of the 1960′s in midwestern America (oh I was a good girl, too -girl scouts, church mouse, etc) — I was deeply disturbed when I first read “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” in the fall of 1970. How could anyone be so hateful and speak so starkly of the black experience? This isn’t anything like what Martin Luther King preached or Peter, Paul and Mary sang about. Whew!!
    In the mid-1970′s I spent three years in West Africa, in fact in the very land where Alex Haley’s composite Kunta Kinte was raised and from which he was taken. I went to Goree Island BEFORE they put up all the signs to tell all the American tourists how ashamed they should be for putting human beings in shackles like that. I didn’t need any signs to know it was a holy place.
    Thanks to journalists like Juan Williams and Bill Moyers and Alex Haley I have had the opportunity to hear Malcolm X, Louis Farakkhan, Jeremiah Wright in their own words and to be able to put many of these ideas in greater context.
    I don’t find the above videos all that troubling because I know they paint a pretty good picture of “what is”. I mostly fear that many white people seeing the videos will act out of fear and (as we’ve seen above) that many black people will get mad at whites for getting mad at them. The result is that we will lose the opportunity for the conversation on race that Barack Obama invited us in on in March.
    As much as I respect and honor the contribution that Black Theology and the work of men like Jeremiah Wright have done to bring dignity and self-worth to the “black” people of this country, I do not think that we are yet ready to have Barack, who is so deeply immersed in that community and so capable of evoking such powerful feelings through “words” such as what we saw in these films as Commander in Chief and Supreme Leader and Leader of a Government. I am with Larry on this one.

    My 21 year old daughters best friend is an AA. A very sweet and smart educated young lady. My daughter and Sophie were talking about the Bible one day. She told my daughter a story about a guy she used to date. Sophie, was dating this AA guy and she invited him over to house. He went into her bedroom and saw she had a picture of Jesus hanging on the wall over her bed. He gave her a disgusted look and said, “Why the hell do you have a picture of a White Jesus on your wall?”

    She told him because she is a Christian and she liked the picture. He told her to take it down because Jesus wasn’t white, he was black.

    Among the myths surrounding the Democratic fight over seating delegates from Florida and Michigan, one that stands out is a persistent inference that Barack Obama was somehow involuntarily kept off the Michigan primary ballot.

    Obama chose to have his name erased from the Michigan ballot – a decision that now presents one of the thorniest issues for the Democratic National Committee’s rules panel meeting on Saturday to hear arguments in this dispute.

    How can delegates be awarded to someone who was not even on the ballot? In sports, that would be like giving points to a team that forfeits the game.

    The Obama camp signaled on Wednesday that the Democratic frontrunner is willing to concede some Florida and Michigan delegates to Hillary Rodham Clinton, but questions such as what to do about Obama’s Michigan forfeit still hang.

    It was the Illinois senator’s written and personally signed request to the Michigan Secretary of State’s office on Oct. 8, 2007, that prompted his exclusion. Obama’s choice to stay off the ballot was a conscious political maneuver designed to please Iowa Democrats angered by Michigan’s early primary date.

    Clinton, to her detriment in Iowa, chose to stay on Michigan’s ballot. As strange as some of Clinton’s demands might seem to be in this matter, it would be truly bizarre to give any Michigan delegates to a candidate who voluntarily took his name off the ballot.

    Myths abound in the latest Florida vote-count fight. For starters, this is not the fault of state Democratic leaders. The Republican-controlled state legislature, directed by its GOP governor Charlie Crist, created this situation.

    Sure, Florida Democrats did not vigorously oppose the Republican plan to move up Florida’s primary on the calendar, defying the rules in both parties. Instead, they negotiated a deal to ensure a paper trail in all future balloting.

    And for their efforts in leveraging a position of weakness to gain something helpful for future elections, Florida Democrats get hammered by a Democratic National Committee intent on diminishing the state’s influence in naming a presidential nominee.

    Why did national Democrats fear Florida so much? It is, after all, the nation’s largest swing state.

    Um, Craig, we all know the answer to your Florida fear question. Obama could not win Florida and Michigan so an excuse was created to disenfranchise their votes. The votes of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina – states which violated the same “rule” as Florida and Michigan – were counted because Obama expected to win there.

      Indeed, the Michigan voters did express their choice in their votes. The majority voted for Clinton while most of the rest voted UNCOMMITED. Hillary’s votes should be counted and given to her but obviously the UNCOMMITED will not be counted for anyone, as it should be. That is the will of the voters in Michigan.

      Black Liberation Theology dates to 1970 when Jmes Cone began to publish.
      Liberation Theology dates to 1968 with the papers written by the Latin Bishops on Justice and Power. It is from these papers that Cone lifted the rudiments of his philosophy and saw the same thing the RCC saw an effective and seductive ruse to perptuate Marxism…When Cone defined the class struggle as a racial one he turned Black Liberation Theology into FASCISM…

I love my people (African-Americans) and I’m going to be honest here, I have admired Farrakhan’s diligence at making sure that things are equal for us, but he is nuts and so are the rest of these nimrods if they now believe that we ARE the Israelites/Jews????????!!!!!! LMFAO Oh my GAWD! They think that Barack OBAMA is the Messiah for real!!!????? Now, I see why so many white folks have been angry with him (Farrakhan), of course besides some of the other truly abrasive/hateful things that he’s said over the years. But, this takes the cake!!! I was just talking to my mother the other night and she was telling me (for the 100th time lol) about the Jews being God’s chosen people and how other groups just need to face the facts and stop trying to lay claim to such, and my mother, who has a very sound biblical knowledge, was schooling me about it all (again, for the 100th time).

    African-Americans have had their share of struggles in this country, and there is still work to be done, but every one of those slick willies in that video are living in decked out mansions, driving (or being driven around in) top of the line Mercedes, Rolls Royces, etc. and have nary a care in the world where finances are concerned. They are preying off of their congregations (collection plates to think about you know…) by keeping them fired up about “whitey” and it’s wrong. I’ve always attended predominately AA churches but I stear clear of churches like Trinity because they are not teaching Christ’s teachings. This is so sad. The thing is, my mother is an Obama supporter and if I told her these things that I’ve seen in this video, she wouldn’t want to believe it. I’m hoping that her own fever will break soon enough. :( I haven’t even watched the second and third videos yet, I have so much on my mind about the FIRST ONE!!!!

    Excellent work Larry! I’m a proud African-American, but I want things to be equal and fair in this country, not for one group to have “dominion” over the other groups. This is very sad. So very sad.

      Most Black people say their ancestors came out of Egypt. That is to say, they are of Egyptian descent. So did the Children of Israel come out of Egypt —After being oppressed (slaves)for 2-3 hundred years. I don’t think the Israelites were black, but maybe a few. But the Egyptians were [black]. Nevertheless whether anyone thinks the Israelites were black or not, they were slaves to the Egyptians. Meaning if the Israel were black then , black people were enslaving other black people. If the Israelites were caucasion then the black people were enslaving white people. Are the Jewish people white? Biblically speaking the Jews were of the lineage of Shem and the Egyptians were of the lineage of Ham– Shem was the progenitor of the white race and Ham was the progenitor of the Black race. Japheth was the progenitor of the Asiatic race.

The early Christians hijacked much form the Jews as this is a common way to exert both unity and legitimacy…Jews and their culture have been hijacked repeatedly…The Romans were excellent at this practice and elevated it almost to a high art…chuckle…

        There is some funny irony in what you are saying. It is true, however, that in some twisted academic circles this line of thinking is propagated. It is kind of like all those 14th century portrayals of Christ as a white man LOL. Egyptians were ethnically and racially different than West Africans. They are teaching such absolute ignorance and that graphic from Glen Beck I’m guessing that was, about Cone’s ideas on “liberation theology” is blood curdling. I’ve heard his name repeatedly in the past several weeks surrounding the Jeremiah Wright debaucle, but I had never heard of him before. Now I know why. I don’t attend crazy churches and shit like that.

    I am interested in more information on why Howard Dean is so vested in Obama. He is willing to shove aside democracy and disenfranchise voters, game the primary process, and alienate Hillary’s constituency. And all of this for a candidate who has serious, almost insurmountable problems, with the primary voters and the polls. His push for this is starting to be illogical. The risks Dean is taking seem to go beyond some altruistic notion of the ‘first black candidate’. How is Howard benefiting Howard with all of this?

    His grandparents were classic middle America white people with regular jobs.

    This is a joke. His “story” is a self created myth that he changes at the drop of a hat to suit whatever audience he’s pandering to at the moment.

    His “days as an organizer?” In his books he changes the names of all the folks he worked with as an organizer. People who try to vett him now come up blank.

    Why change the names of the very people who can come out and tell the world what a great social conscience you have, what great work you’ve done for poor folks?

    I know why — because if we can interview those organizers they would tell you he rode their coat-tails.

    Trace Obama’s career and you’ll see it was one long, coattail-riding trip.

    No wonder he said in February campaigning felt like the Baatan Death March. Obama’s never worked this hard for anything in his life.

    He wanted it handed to him.

    Just like he was handed credit for all the bills in IL senate that other politians — Black men — worked on for years. Only to see Jones (Obana’s IL senate godfather) yank thebills they wrote away from them and hand them to Obama (nice multi-racial Obama) to pad Obama’s resume for a US Senate run.

    It’s everywhere on the net. All solid researched articles. Anyone who did due dilligence on this guy can see he is a true opportunist who will take the help of anyone who can ease his way to the top.

    He’ll be a puppet president. As long as he goes down in history as the frst AA president, he’ll let his ultra-liberal, Israel-hating, pro-Hamas “consultants and advisors” run the show.

    Obama will be the liberal version of GW.

    A puppet. Only with a better vocabulary.

    The question is — who will be playing Cheney’s part in an Obama presidency?

    We must stop this.

    I was struck by a comment in Part 3 that Obama read about rejecting “middle classness” and that was part of the Reverend Wright’s mantra. Is that the same Reverend Wright who now lives in a gated community outside Chicago in a town whose black population is less than 2%? Is this what the Reverend Wright means by rejecting middle classness? Go straight for the affluent.

    Religion is a racket. The Reverend Wright puts on weekly shows for those poor folks, takes their money, sells them books, tapes and videos and then retires to a mansion in the suburbs. Quite the life plan.

    I never cease to be amazed and disgusted with the attempt, no matter how welled intentioned of the white community to define the Black experience in this country.

    Black Theology, Black Ideology, are both misnomers. If anything, the desires of Black upward mobility, and equality is better entitled as it often is, “The Black Experience.” Malcolm X was once asked, what do you want? Brother Malcolm’s response was quite uncomplicated.

    He said “you are a man,
    I am a man,
    You are a man, and you know what you want
    Then you know what I want.”

    The fact that the question is even asked, implies an intention of denying some of those things one not only take for granted, but things one sees that require a need to protect and reserve from others.

    Black Theology, as practiced in the Christian Church ostensibly, is no different than that practiced in any other Christian Church. I will not attempt to develop this theme that would require more time and effort than I care to expend at this time. I will suffice it to say, for all intents and purposes, a Black Christian and a White Christian both worship the same God.

    Black Ideology is no different than white ideology. The principle in every Black family, wants the same things as does the principle in every white family. In case you don’t know what those things are, refer to Brother Malcolm’s response.

    It is all too convenient, to attach a label to something in an attempt to define it. The result of your definition will then tend to determine it’s legitimacy, or it’s worth. No white man can define with any legitimacy or accuracy, the Black experience in this country. When an outsider attempts to define the Black experience, they can now claim, they understand the Black Man. Wrong!

    When we explore the entomology of words and then affix them to some specific trend of thought, it appears to makes sense, and makes it easier to explain to those of you that think alike. No white man knows, or even understands what it means to be Black in America. A friend of mine came close. He visited Africa, upon his return, he told me Jim, I now know how it feels to be Black. He said every where I turned, I had to deal with a Black man. I looked around and saw very few white faces, I was overwhelmed by the helpless feeling, of being a minority.

    MLK and Malcolm X are today often quoted as Heroes. Before they were killed, both of them wee the most hated men in this country. They are no longer a threat to the status quo.

    Both men victims of violence, and both men advocated a love of Peace.

      Why not take the argument further? Why stop at Black? “A black man living in Mississippi can’t know what it’s like to be a black man living in California.” Hey, I can’t know what it’s like to be my neighbor. Maybe you can know MORE what it is like to be a person with a shared set of experiences and ethnic identity, but not completely.

      We have to be careful of injecting too much of our own cultural baggage into the Jesus equation. “DENY YOURSELF, Take up your cross and follow me.” Americans are notoriously bad about allowing their patriotism to undermine/control their faith in an unhealthy manner. Liberation Theology can be positive as long as it keeps perspective…the Christ perspective.

      But then again, if you are Black and reading this you don’t have to listen to me because I can’t possible know what it is like to be you. For that matter, if you are Chinese, Hispanic or Native American please ignore my comments. In fact, you really can’t understand what I am saying since you aren’t Caucasian.

      Man, what ever happened to unity in Christ?
