I second that emotion. Ickes’s speech with respect to MI was potent and historic. Other than that, the DNC self-destructed today. The persistent calls for “unity” are pathetic and laughable. What’s left of the Dems will be financially depleted by the lawsuits resulting from today’s decisions, a clear violation of civil rights. Sen. Arlen Spector is already on the case. The Republicans are the only winners today. Obama supporters were provided only with the illusion of winning, a consolation prize for the imminent failure of their candidate.

Actually, go Independent, THEN work for McInsane (I still won’t vote for him, either). More Dems that matter that switch party affiliation — and still keeping the values that made them Dems — the stronger this country will become. Trading parties just goes from the frying pan into the fire, as you won’t be accepted in the GOP, either (trust me, on how the conservative wings are treated you wouldn’t like the reception).

We really need a viable third party of truly full vote, full humans, and full of GOOD WILL.

Now, onto the substance of my post.

This guy illustrates just how hard a true spirit of harmony (I refuse to use that other meaningless “u” word anymore) is ever going to be to achieve — because here’s someone who just didn’t get it.

You cannot give delegates to someone who didn’t earn them. Obama took his own name off the ballot; I have no trouble assigning 55 to uncommitted (and all going for Obama at this rate), but I have a big problem with Obama getting 59 delegates (four he didn’t earn under any circumstances) because that’s not what the voters voted for.

Counting 1/2 vote for the superdelegates in both states (as I understood it) is also wrong.

I don’t agree with this proceeding, and the best thing about it was Harold Ickes standing up and saying, “You bet your ass it was flawed” and then going on with the rest of what he said — that you cannot give votes to another candidate who didn’t earn them.

I absolutely do not agree with this and believe it’s just finished the Democratic Party for good. The only thing I can hope for now is that Mrs. Clinton will run as an Independent and wipe the floor with these jackals (and worse).

This was emphatically NOT democracy in action, no matter what Fowler (normally a rational individual) said today.

and since you’re so damn concerned about the ROOLZ, then you must support the ROOL that states the SDs can vote for the candidate THEY believe can beat McCain in November, and that would be HILLARY, not Mr. Hope. So you will support THAT ROOL, right?

Half a vote reminds me of the Bill of Rights, that regarded Black people but half human.

Well, this decision made my sis hit the ceiling. She said “I’m Independent now”. I’m going to vote for everyone who didn’t vote for Obama, for now on. I careless that it’ll be beyond 2020: Obama supporters still won’t get my vote. Going to get a list made up of everyone who supported Hillary, and vote accordingly.

The DNC is a sham, and did more to divide the DP than even the Rovian 24/7 campaigning GOP. Couldn’t have thought they could top the 1972 fiasco either, but this DNC sure did.

Folks: Go Independent. If your party has thrown you out, and you could never think of yourself being a Republican, time to be your own voter. At least as an Independent you will never have to be considered half a voter, or for that matter half human to this world of undemocratic politics!
