For the longest time D. Brazile “was” the Rules Committee and the other members were mostly anonymous. Perhaps the Credential Committee members will learn from the mistakes of the Rules Committee. How can we make them accountable to us and not the Party Bosses, is it possible. According to Real Clear Politics, the pledged delegate totals as of today: Obama – 1736; Clinton – 1620.

If Obama or Clinton had 2,118 pledged delegates (who must vote for their pledged candidate on the first ballot) this would be over. Neither does, so it is not. Super delegates are not votes at this point, they are endorsements — they can change up to the point of the convention. It’s a long summer and the convention is not until the end of it. Time has never been Obama’s friend…his fast rising ‘unfavorables’ prove the point. Them’s the facts.

I am voting for McCain because I think the House and Senate are more important than spending liberal democratic political capital on a candidate like Obama who is focused on idealogy rather tha good governance. His proposed tax increase absolutely will cause the D’s to lose the house and senate in 2010. From the current spending/deficit levels I am sort of wondering what exactly he needs the extra trillion dollars for. Actually the deficit is not that bad right now, and it spending can be controlled (given how much of Obama success is releated to handing out money…) once the Iraq war winds down, the deficit levels are quite sustainable.

So I won’t be voting against Obama as much as I will be Voting for McCain’s economic package, as well as continued fiscal responsibility.

Also the continuous non-stop race and class baiting, never mind the repeated insults from Obama supporters (not a real democrat for example) will make my vote an easy one.

What I find to be one of the saddest things in all of this…If Obamessiah is anointed as the nominee by the DNC leaders, when the Republicans are done with exposing all the things we have been stating for months as verifiable facts that totally Destroy Obama in the GE. It will be decades before even an honest, intelligent, experienced, honorable African American candidate would have even the remotest chance at the White House. I had supported Obama early in 2007. Then as the campaigns went along, I notice more and more how Obama supporters were starting to use the same exact talking points the GOP had used throughout the 90′s to smear the Clintons. Then I noticed that virtually every Republican web site was silent on Obama while attacking Hillary 24/7.

I became 100% convinced that the Republicans were afraid as hell of facing Hillary in the general election and much preferred to run against Obama. Also, due to their respective positions on health care, I switched to supporting Hillary.

Now I am totally astounded how actual progressive and self-described liberal blogs have resorted to the most vile personal attacks against BOTH Clintons. At times, they act as if it is Bill running for President. These pro-Obama sites are all unanimous in their condemnation of the Clintons and characterize Bill’s years in office as “nightmarish”, “the economy on the brink of collapse”, and even throw in b.s. about Vince Foster and Whitewater.

All I can say is W…T…F?!!!!! I am totally taken aback by how disgusting my fellow Democrats have proceeded. I have never heard a single Hillary supporter call Obama the “n-word” or some other extreme epithet.
