Hillary Smashes Obama in Puerto Rico

TUNE IN to Fox News — they will have Hillary’s speech soon!

I’m seeing 68% to 32% so far in the Puerto Rico results.

How I wish we had a rational Democratic party leadership.

Hillary is the ONLY candidate of the two who can beat John McCain come November.

  • Pandora

I would just add another number to it. “Money Spent” I guess Obama outspent Hillary by at least 3 to 1 since March 4. Should be a message to congressional dems that money is not going to buy you the election.

  • Caya

I get so tired of them saying ‘well, it doesn’t count because he didn’t bother’

  • No kidding

McCain’s totally going to win Puerto Rico’s electoral votes in November at this rate. Obama has to be stopped!

  • http://TheAdacityofHype Wanda Baker

Now that Obama has resigned from his church and only has done so because it’s teachings and beliefs have become public, am I suppose to believe that he has not been affected by the teachings of this so-called church after being a member for 20 years? His book should be called “The Audacity of Hype”. What is he going to do when the tape of his wife, Michele Obama shows up on YouTube and MSM ranting and raving against “whitey”? Will it be a quick divorce in Mexico? He is a sham and I’m disgusted that the Democratic big-wigs are ignoring Senator Clinton – the candidate that can beat McCain in November. She now has the popular vote officially with the counting of FL & MI voters. She has won all the big states and the swing states, even though she has been outspent, told to quit, out endorsed, ignored and vilified by MSM, and not even fully supported by her party. Yet, she has the biggest endorsement that any candidate can have – the vote of the people. If you do not make her the nominee (and she deserves it), you can count me as one of the newly registered Independents and add one more vote for McCain. A person that believes that every vote should count.

    OT but important:

See here for the rest of this from Lynn Sweet.

Pfleger a headache for Obama. Axelrod documentary on Pfleger.

WASHINGTON — The Rev. Michael Pfleger’s “I’m white! I’m entitled … black man stealing my show” outburst about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from the pulpit of the Obama family church, Trinity United Church of Christ, created a political problem for likely Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama that won’t disappear.

Pfleger’s crusades against guns, prostitution, porn and tobacco have made good copy for years for a fairly admiring local press corps hooked on cheering for the underdog, the poor and the powerless.

Pfleger is the subject of a documentary being made by Chicago-based David Axelrod, Obama’s top strategist. On Friday, Axelrod told me in an e-mail that the film project has “been dormant for much of the last two years due to other commitments.”

  • It’s Not Me

The MSM is downplaying this win like nothing I’ve ever seen! Doesn’t PR have MORE delegates than Montana and SD COMBINED?

Fox gave these numbers earlier today. Hillary has kicked Obama’s ass since March 4 and we’re are led to believe she’s LOSING?

    GO, Hillary!

Here’s the numbers Fox has earlier:

    Since March 4th:

    HILLARY

    STATES WON…………. 7
    POPULAR VOTE ……….6.6 Million
    Pledged Delegates……552

    Obama

    States Won………….6
    Popular Vote………..6.1 Million
    Pledged Delegates……534

If Obarf is the presumptive nominee, shouldn’t he be winning these primaries? Wow, the DNC and Obarf are complete morons.

  • spamccensor

    Congratulations, Hillary!

More power to you, and ON to the nomination.

    The American people choose YOU!

  • http://dianej.wordpress.com DianeJ

    GO HILLARY GO!

  • mahaska

yahoo’s headline says P.R. moves bo closer to nomination. msn says Clinton wins, just barely in
a largely symbolic win. Jesus, they can never just let her have anything at all can they? You know what bo? besa mi culo blanco.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

Isn’t it interesting the way the “presumptive loser” keeps kicking the “presumptive winner” to the curb in these races?—-while he prances around like he’s such a star, and figures nobody notices.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

Hey I have an idea! Donna and Howard can give some of Hillary’s PR delegates to Barky! Seems fair! Affirmative Action, right?

  • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

    TESTING

  • http://cannonfire.blogspot.com Joseph Cannon

I think it’s a shame that the people of Puerto Rico are so racist. If they won’t vote for Barry, they MUST be white supremacists.

  • Hillaryormccain08

Well I don’t understand what you guys are talking about Obama is such a stand up guy. You women are so mean to him don’t you know that it is tough work STEALING elections from powerful women because after all I have a problem with strong women because the problem with them is they have their own ideas on things. I just don’t know what’s wrong with Hillary why doesn’t she want to just kiss my feet. The teenyboppers love me and so does the Racists. I have unified the Racists and bigots around me. Come on Hillary you and your followers come to the well and drink this delicious Kool aid. This would be so easy if you women just shut up and continued to play by the book.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

It appears that she’s going to hit 70%. It’s tight in SD. Obama is actually campaigning there.

    “I’m Seeing Red…Tornado Red”
    http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com/2008/06/01/im-seeing-redtornado-red/

I’m not even going to waste my time discussing the Democrats’ RBC performance. I’ll just say that this party is no longer my party. The whole exercise was despicable. As has been the entire primary season.

So, the one bright spot of the last week has been the fact that I went out and bought a new car. It’s bright red. I’ve never had a bright red car before and never would have considered it (heavy foot = tickets) except for the fact that the deal was too good to pass up. A few people have said that red matches my personality, which they claim is lively and outgoing. I’m thinking I’m one of those “older, undervalued women voters” who has become so fed up that she just had to break loose!

First, here is a picture of my new car!

MORE…take a break and let me tell you about my passion for VWs since I no longer have any passion for the Democratic Party!! I’m celebrating with Hillary today!!

  • http://mmb silver fox

once again Hillary clobbers the “presumptive nominee”.

big kudos for an incredible woman!

more votes so far than any democratic nominee, EVER.

and the dem primary election is blatantly being stolen by oblahma. what the f#ck is going on!?

however…the GE will be whole ‘nother story. heh. heh.

the brezinski puppet will not win the prez.

that is if the zbig boyz aren’t the folks stealing, er, counting the ge votes.

i wash my hands of the lot of them.

Sen Clinton was/is our last and best hope to restore Democracy.

  • wry

yahoo’s headlines ARE AS BAD AS msnbc. I used to have them as my home page. Never again.

  • SJ

You should read all these site ABC and so on, Clinton gets a symbolic win, Obama is closer to the nomination geez these people are sick, he is the front runner and he is getting clobbered once again but the MSM are playing as if its no big thing.

Well if he cant get the Latin vote, the blue collar vote, the poor white vote, the bitter people vote, and the disgruntled Hillary supporters votes can anyone in the goodly MSM tell me how the hell is this fool Obama going to win a GE.

  • libby

    YEAH THANK YOU PUERTO RICO!!!

Latest polls show Hillary winning handily in blue states while Obama, although ahead, could be overtaken by McCain, especially in Massachussetts. The state where the last man using the “Change” mantra, Deval Patrick (another Axelrod protege), is an abject failure.

Deval Patrick, the Messiah of Massachussetts in 2006, is an abject failure. Again Patrick’s campaign was run by the Rovian Axelrod using “Change” as the central theme.

  • Hillary is the best choice

    THANK YOU PUERTO RICO!!!

    You speak up for Hillary!

Let us continue help her and us to win South Dakota and Montana!

    Call! Call!Call!

    Acttion! Acttion! Acttion!

Hillary is the best choice for the Job!

  • libby

Actually you wouldn’t be too far from the truth. I know some Obamatons are going to scream racism but because of how the DNC apportions delegates, heavily black districts get MORE delegates than any other district because of the “they voted Democratic before” rule. So yes you could call in affirmative action since that is what is essentially true.

Heavily black districts get more delegates than any other district.

  • John

I’ve heard that all day, and I agree, it’s such a crock of shit.

But not as big a crock as I heard from Rachel Maddow, who I believe was filling in for the first hour of the Sam Seder show on Air Obama Radio this afternoon- a caller phoned in to say “the Metrics (I notice that Obamabrats are sick of saying “the math,” so they’ve switched to “the metrics”) don’t favor Clinton, but she just keeps changing them. She’ll go to the convention and she won’t give up till she’s dragged out of there kicking and screaming (more violent imagery,) she’ll never give up, she’ll just keep changing the metrics..”

Excuse me, but who said “if Hillary doesn’t win NH, its all over, if she doesnt win California, its all over, if she doesnt win Ohio AND Texas its all over, Indiana is the tiebreaker” etc etc etc? Who keeps “changing the metrics?’

Maddow- who is “undeclared,” remember- just chuckled and agreed. Fuck all of them.

CNN this morning- “Hillary is going to win PR, but the turnout is low, she’s only going to pick up around 60,000 in the popular vote….”

At this writing, Hillary leads in PR by over 120,000. Eat that, CNN.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

So much for his governor’s endorsement, eh?

I’m just happy for her. She was having a very good time in Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, Ickes earned his money today. He looked positively pained to have to be talking to Russert.

Russert’s questions were completely stupid, as usual. Ickes just looked blankly at him once and didn’t even answer. LOL*

Hillary got the good end of this weekend’s campaigning. At least she was having some fun!

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

Fox just announced that Barky broke a record today. He lost ALL the voting groups in Puerto Rico. Never before done. Congratulations “presumed nominee”!

  • so saddened

he plans to fly in all kenyans and give them fake ids?

  • kat in your hat

    Muchas Gracias Puerto Rico!!!!!!!

    Hillary for President!!!!!!

  • Nancy

The media coverage really is shameful. I gave up on the MSM when they explained that Hillary’s win in Obama’s backyard (Indiana) was “really a setback.” What a joke.

  • Nancy

By the way, why is it that turnout matters whenever Hillary wins, but when Obama wins Idaho with 10% turnout, it’s “proof that he can compete in red states”?

  • kat in your hat

  • POdVet

Glad to see my call for a 40 point win in Puerto Rico was pretty damn close :D

  • wac for hillary

    Don’t give him any ideas!

  • http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com/ Gloria

She was fabulous!!! From start to finish….Major injected the business of the subtleties of her hinting she was ready to quit vs. not quitting, including the idea of “suspending” her campaign.

I loved it when she spoke to the delegates about her experience, being able to beat McCain, and how she LISTED the states she won and how she leads the popular vote…(although there was a talk show host on earlier who said she wasn’t leading…)

  • wac for hillary

    Unity!

  • Skiron

“Hillary is the ONLY candidate of the two who can beat John McCain come November.”

And her win in Puerto Rico, a place which doesn’t even factor into the GE, somehow supports that conclusion?

  • Mary O’Bryan

I knew she would win, just like I know she will win in November. But, the superdelegates must do their job too. They better because the DNC hasn’t seen anything like a woman scorned or her spouse or significant other. Go Hillary and everybody donate at http://www.hillaryclinton.com because money talks to superdelegates. Also, calling SD right now and it is looking good!!!

  • Jason

Actually it doesn’t count because they can’t vote in the general election. This is pretty much the same thing as having a primary in Canada.

  • Lou

I read a new article some time back that PR is winner take all if the winner exceeds 60%. Does anyone have any verification about this? I kept it mum on blogs so that BHO troops wouldn’t circumvent the votes.
Anone know if 60% win in PR takes all delegates

  • Lou

Yeah. She wins a state and he gets more delegates.
    It’s maddening

  • Lou

Obama, although ahead, could be overtaken by McCain, especially in Massachussetts

YUP. Super D’s need to wake up. Mass. will go red for the first time ever if Obama is the nominee.

    Word is out indicating this.

Now this survey proves it. And that survey was done before all of BHO’s biggest problems.
Mass will not tolerate cons, frauds, or deceit.

  • Lou

That’s BS. Obama made several trips to PR and even MO went there to campaign.
Just had to put this fact in black and white

  • Judy

    Lou,

I, too, remember something about winner takes all in Puerto Rico primary. What’s up with that not happening. someone needs to research that

  • drkate

    Hillary Clinton victory speech!

  • Obama_is_Weak

    Skiron:

Take you talking points from Obama to Atrios and thos at the Orange Recycling Trash site where they might care.

Getting offensive with the people of Puerto Rico is imbecile. You are a moron.

    Beat it troll.

  • Justin

people who live in Puerto Rico can not vote in the Presidential Election Dummy.
