Go back in history. Remember Gary Hart? He was the frontrunner in 1998. When word was received that he might have had an affair with Donna Rice, he was forced to withdraw and his political career was over.

Remember Thomas Eagleton? He was only a vice-presidential candidate and after it was found out he had shock therapy, George McGovern, the presidential candidate stated he was 1,000% behind Eagleton. When pressure was received from party leaders, McGovern threw his partner in the race under the bus.

Those from Illinois will remember Jack Ryan who was the Republican candidate to run against Barack Obama. When it was discovered that he had gone to sex clubs, he was also forced out as the party nominee giving Obama a virtual walkover to win the senate seat.

All of the above were petty allegations compared to Obama’s many scandals. When are the Democratic Party leaders? I say MIA.

They’re trying to put forth another argument for why he should be nominated. This is no revelation. Hillary is barely still in the race, as much as I love her. Now it is no big deal, if Obama is seen as “doing anything to win.” With Clinton, that’s bad; she’s a woman, and she should know her place. They’re saying O is tough enough to lead the country. Some people actually like him when he seems “dirty.” The Republicans will still eat him alive. The SD’s know this, but their checks have all cleared.

Generally, the VP secures a swing state or flips one.

In a newsletter sent out last week, 42nd ward alderman Brendan Reilly writes that the Chicago Children’s Museum’s proposal to build itself a new home in Grant Park will “very likely [be] heard at the April 17th, 2007 meeting” of the Chicago Plan Commission. It could be that the Museum thinks it has the votes to muscle its way through the Commission. Heavy lobbying has been going on in the City Council, with the Sun-Times reporting that the museum continues to play the “race card” in smearing opposition to its land grab as “racist”. The photo you see here is of the current park, derisively dismissed by Mayor Richard M. Daley as “nowhere”.

Almost everyone in Alaska supports drilling in ANWAR except the small minority of environmentalists. Oil is god in Alaska as everyone loves their PFD check in October. After Pelosi had said she wants the super del’s to hurry up and decide like Pelosi’s super del daughter who was outright bribed by Obama to support him. True Democrats told her that if she and the DNC pressured super del’s to hurry up and decide, they would stop donating to the DNC. It’s just another way for moveon to use twisted words and confusion to tell Pelosi to keep in the tank for Obama. Obama has now “donated” over $1,300,000.00 to the campaigns of super delegates. So while I agree with you that the voters should decide, thats not what the petition is about, it and it’s signatures will be bundled with others carefully worded to say what they want it to. The voters have already decided who they want, Hillary! But moveon wants to help perpetuate the caucus math where they “estimate” votes based on the caucus votes. Thats the only way Obama is even close in the popular vote.
