UPDATE From ABC News’s blog:

ABC News’ Kate Snow and Eloise Harper Report: Clinton spokesperson Mo Elleithee came to the back of the press plane as Clinton flew from Rapid City to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He was asked about Clinton’s definition of when a nominee would be determined -– because she has refused to accept the new 2,118 delegates number that the Democratic Party says is needed to clinch the nomination.

"I think its pretty clear that she is not conceding." Elleithee said, "I think its pretty clear that she is staying in this race. She is going, in the coming days, to be aggressively courting uncommitted superdelegates aggressively courting unpledged delegates, making the case to them that she is a candidate best ready to take on John McCain."

When asked directly when Clinton will step aside, Elietthee told reporters, “as she has said dozens and dozens of times she is in this race until we have a nominee…Until there is a nominee she is going to try to win support."

He continued “until there is a nominee we are going to still work to become that nominee. When asked when they would determine a nominee would be selected –- because the Clinton campaign has refused to accept fully the 2,118 number –- Elleithee said, “we’re exploring — she has said before she wants to have this to be resolved before the convention — we are reviewing our options.”

Eliethee continued, “We do not expect that a nominee will be clear tomorrow night … she is mostly going to be working the phones and meeting with these delegates."

When asked why Clinton was spending tomorrow in New York at an event the campaign is calling a "victory party," Clinton’s spokesperson said, “it’s a good way to close out this phase of the campaign is come to New York bring all of her supporters together, have a big celebratory election night party as we move into the next phase of the campaign which is obviously the courting of these delegates.”

And of course, the Huff and Puff has been so accurate all along in reporting on Clinton, give people a break, it is an attempt to try stealing the two elections tomorrow night for Obama by Huff and Puff!

Those crackpots can say all they want to say, and thinking anyone from the Clinton campaign would tell Huffy Puffy anything is rediculous!

ARG polls were very accurate in WV & KY, so I have no reason to believe that these won’t be correct. For the American Indians, that may even push it to a higher margin. The sample size is no different than many previous polls. And remember the base populations of these states are small, so the sample size may be very representative.

America is speaking Superdelegates, even if you don’t like what they are saying. Obamabots feel free to spin this one.

Let’s hope she wins both South Dakota and Montana tomorrow!

Clinton’s lead 34.5 million voters in primaries; Obama’s lead from 1.1 million voters in caucuses

Please study this and get it out to any functional Fourth Estate that still exists in the country.

    http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/6/2/12307/61275

    Direct quotes below:

Hot off the press and only available at TalkLeft: Peniel Cronin’s Caucus v. Primary report with numbers updated to today, showing how the caucuses, compared to primaries, have unfairly disenfranchised voters. (Background and original report here.)

I want this report to get as much exposure as possible. Thus, this post will stay at the top of Talk

    Some Findings:

    35.6 million people have voted
The 37 primary states account for 97% of the vote.
The 13 caucus states account for 3% of the vote.
Bottom line: Clinton’s lead is from 34.5 million voters (97%) in Primaries. Obama’s lead is from 1.1 million voters (3%) in caucuses.

Hopefully this will help turn things around. But I think it was over months ago when Dean, Brazil, and Obama colluded in electoral fraud by granting waivers to some States but not MI and FL, where Hillary won big, and when Obama took his name off the MI ballot to further muddy the waters. Add to that the caucus madness, and you have the sleaziest democratic campaign of our time.
But they have powerful allies in the media and elsewhere, and they’ll probably get away with it.

    • Babe

Let us see how far it gets them if BO wins the nomination. I predict an overwhelming defeat. If not Hillary I vote McCain. I will not change my mind.

RE: Vanity Fair Article on President Clinton
      DATE: June 1, 2008

A tawdry, anonymous quote-filled attack piece, published in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine regarding former President Bill Clinton repeats many past attacks on him, ignores much prior positive coverage, includes numerous errors, and ultimately breaks no new ground. It is, in short, journalism of personal destruction at its worst.

The DNC has it’s own brand of Affirmative Action. It’s called “Make up the Rules As We Go Along and Steal Hillary’s Delegates.”

He’s not worthy of POTUS and you damn well know it.

I’ve never seen you here before, so I won’t come down on you. I’ve been posting here a long time. Re-read my post carefully. Save your attacks for the real trolls.

        • Martin

Hillarysmygirl – don’t get overexcited. ARG has about the same reputation amongst upstanding pollsters as Lewinsky has amongst That Silver Ring Thing. They’ve predicted a Clinton blowout almost every time, in every state! They had her winning in WI and in NC. If Clinton’s internals showed she had a snowball’s chance in SD, she’d be there tomorrow. Ain’t gonna happen. Another victory for Obama.

          • hillarysmygirl

I smelled something putrid and thought I stepped in dogsh*t, but when I checked my shoe it was YOU! Or maybe it was just the smell of fear wafting off your greasy head…

            • Martin

What a sweety you are Hillarysmygirl: Ignore the facts and just lash out! Is this how you respond to any challenge? Never mind the fact under discussion, that ARG has a lousy reputation. They, for some reason, have Clinton winning the 18-29 vote by a huge margin tomorrow. Can you really see that happening, given what’s happened in every primary to date? I certainly can’t. Obama 2008. Clinton for a well-earned retirement. Oh. My hair’s not greasy – I ain’t no hick.

              • Thrasyboulos

You forget that there is not affirmative action in a general election. Obama and his Cult will not have Dean, Brazile, Pelosi, Reid, Kerry, and the other Democratic establishment losers to prop him up.

He’ll have Rezko, Wright, Pfleger, Michelle, Auchi, Ayers, and a history of propping up slumlords to contend with, minus his media leghumpers, who will have accomplished their task of getting McCain elected, overwhelmingly.

Hard lessons ahead for the Cult, hard lessons.

        The rules specifically state:

        2 for you. 1, 2 for me.

        3 for you. 1, 2, 3 for me.

Don’t you see? Its all fair.

  • Blue State Girl

    From ARG’s webpage:

Sample Size: 600 completed telephone interviews among a random sample of likely Democratic primary voters living in South Dakota (600 Democrats).

ARG only polled Democrats but aren’t Independents allowed to vote? And how many Native Americans are in this sample? I’m betting none.

Don’t get too excited over these numbers. I bet it’s going to be Obama over Clinton but by less than 10%.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally bikers… Clinton: Remind them you’re white.
Obama: Remind them you’re cooler than even them; they’ll have to agree.

Native Americans… Clinton: Highlight your support of Indian casinos in upstate NY.
Obama: Reference Cher’s song, “Half-Breed”, with a charming grin.

Rapid City Vo-Tech’s Automotive Engineering student… Clinton: Discuss alternative fuel policies while admiring their transmission work on an old GTO.
Obama: Tell ‘em about that one time when you were a kid in Hawaii and you saw a car stuck in some lava.
Farmers… Hillary: Bale up the last of the hay before the big rain, then oil the combine thresher. Obama: Eat a huge plate of chicken-n-dumplings, then half a blueberry pie, and not vomit.
Anti-abortion activists… Hillary: Don’t bother. Obama: Forget it.
Black hills tourists… Hillary: Take a nap in their RVs, joke about bone density.
Obama: Don’t flinch when people lock their doors as you approach.
Meth addicts… Hillary: Ask them to stay up all night calling people on your behalf.
Obama: Admit that coke was way less fun.

That idiot BO is in Michigan giving Hillary’s stump speech. Using her words that since GB has been in office the average family has lost a $1000. He is talking about healthcare and the economy and it sounds like Hillary wrote his speech.

  • Michelle

If she won at all – not even to mention, if it was even close to this margin! – it would be huge!

These numbers may be like this because it is a CLOSED primary – only Democrats can vote her – and let’s face it – all the SMART Democrats are backing her at this point!!

Are there any other polls to compare this to? I haven’t found any polls – at all – but this one on this site.

    • Genevieve

I’m guessing the polls are none on SD and MO, because Hillary will win them. Not a peep in the news. If she wins both primaries, that would be fantastic for her.

      • Amy

I assume you mean MT – BO already won MO. MT is MONTANA, MO is Missouri. Why don’t people learn? Every time ARG comes out with a poll before a primary and BO wins by a landslide! Happened in WI and happened in NC. And they predicted a 14 point BO win in CALI and HRC won that one! That should set alarm-bells ringing amongst even the most dense observers. I guess people here are too eager to find any silver lining in the trainwreck of the HRC campaign that critical thought goes out the window. None of the respected statisticians have a nice thing to say about this poll: Poblano at fivethirtyeight.com has just said it’s a steaming pile of BS.

I think their plan is to go from state to state and claim that our write ins for Hillary actually belong to the democratic party and we were to ignorant and uneducated and what the hell, we were lying, so Obama should get those votes. Because you know, its all about the rules…

    • Mary

Be careful. Each state is different. In some, a write-in for Hillary gets the vote discarded completely or credited to the Democratic nominee (Obama).

A straight vote for McCain sends a better message, and will result in more resignations at the DNC.

    Hillary is NOT conceding tomorrow

    Marc Ambinder says:

Everywhere, there are rumors of an imminent drop-out by Sen. Hillary Clinton, and I have indeed fanned some of those flames. But there’s no real evidence that tomorrow night’s speech will be the moment.

Maybe it will, maybe it won’t — who knows how the reality of the results tomorrow will factor into Clinton’s thinking at 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm Tuesday night.

    (1) Senior staffers swear that Clinton has not told them she will drop out and that she has not hinted to them that she will drop out.

    (2) The idea to invite major donors and allies to New York was generated by a senior staffer and not by the Clintons.

    (3) Donors are being asked to come up; they’re not being urged; they’re not being pressured; they’re not being given information to suggest that tomorrow is a last hurrah.

    (4) Tomorrow night’s speech is being billed as a celebration of Clinton’s campaign and what it and its 17 million supporters have accomplished.

What happens beyond Tuesday is unknowable. Aides are prudently and predictably preparing to leave, but none have been told to. Expense receipts are being gathered by the finance department, which is something that a smart finance department would do in this case.

    • hillarysmygirl

Ot, sort of, but reading the AP article about Clinton, no matter what happens tomorrow, the goal is to put Obama in prison, even through the GE process, it won’t stop.

    It’s the corruption, stupid.

    Mkay?

I KNOW it’s difficult to get your heads around it, but HE will see jail time.

And yes, this is whom Howard Dean choose to support, a corrupt individual, perhaps guilty of treason.

Can you kinda see it, now?

  • Arabella Trefoil

I think those Obamabots who were Fitzmas fans in the past will be going totally Grinch soon.

The wheel of justice turns slowly, but it turns.

  • artist

“Expense receipts are being gathered by the finance department, which is something that a smart finance department would do in this case.”

That also makes sense b/c Primary and GE expenses are distinctly different.

  • NewIndependant 1,000,000 and counting

Well after being a dem for years and years I have left the party. From what I understand many are and it is not in small numbers. After the Florida and Michigan facade and the threament of Hillary (which Howard Dean is now calling for Mathews and Olbermanm to be fired after how long?) I said enough is enough and left. Kinda feels good to not be associated with a party who is biased and clearly in the tank for Obama and who puts their own rules ahead of the voters wishes.

rezko jury has decided on 23 charges, sent back to deliberate one charge they are deadlocked on, wonder if MSM is going to cover this verdict, might have one today or tomorrow? Hum

    • Arabella Trefoil

Thanks for keeping this in front of us. I’ll bet that withing 48 hours or so Obama will be looking back on Whitey-gate as a simpler, happier time.

I’ve been following Evelyn Pringle’s reporting for a while now. Too bad no major media outlet will cover this complex but important story,

    • hillarysmygirl

That’s excellent news! At least Fox will cover it, hopefully.

  • Ugo

    My take.

Sen. Hillary Clinton should run as an independent and unite with the party after winning the presidency.

    Just my take.

  • barbh

I still have my envelope that they sent my DNC Survey in. If you were not “lucky” enough to get one of these, I urge you to send the DNC a piece of your mind at the survey address:

    Democratic National Committee
    430 South Capitol Street SE
    PO Box 96585
    Washington DC 20077-7242

The wonderful thing about mine is they ask me to affix a stamp, otherwise it’s on their nickel….fat chance of me giving them one cent of my money, but I’ll give them two cents of my mind. Please spread this address near and wide!!!

    • It’s Not Me

Oh, I sent them TWO envelopes back. One from the DNC and one from the DCCC. I used a red permanent marker and said:

“Are you kidding me? You want MY money? You will never get one cent from me unless you fully seat MI and FL delegates and stop stealing this election for Obama and start treating Hillary Clinton with the respect that she deserves. I am leaving the party if she is not the nominee!!!”

I hope they got the message.:)

Everyone still needs to get out and vote regardless of any lead Hillary might have at the moment…

We need ever single vote to show Obama what we really think of people who steal votes from Americans!

Thanks for the great news Susan on SD!

Hillary ain’t no quitter and will get the nomination. Trolls can bite me.

Harold Ickes, Meet the Press, Sunday, June 1, 2008, Tim Russert, Hillary won popular vote, We expect to win the nomination

Mr. Ickes stated that Hillary has won the popular vote in the Democratic Primaries and quotes the AP popular vote counts. Mr. Ickes, on Saturday indicated he had been authorized to challenge the decision not to count all the votes at the Democratic Convention. Mr. Ickes stated: “We expect to win the nomination.” Here is a video of the interview:

    “Whitey”

    Starring Michelle Obama

    And Louis Farrakhan

***Coming soon to a TV Screen Near You***

Synopsis: Watch leading racist Michelle Obama ranting about ‘whitey’ with the biggest racist in the country the UNHonorable Louis Farrakhan. Watch two of the nation’s leading racists come together. A very unique opportunity indeed.

    Do not miss it.

PS: In the interest of full disclosure it is important that we mention that Michelle Obama is the wife of renowned racist and race baiter Barack Hussein Obama.

    ***Stay tuned for more information***

    • Amy

BIG YAWN. Crying wolf when there isn’t a wolf makes you look like an idiot. And, the only race-baiting I can think of throughout this campaign:
      i) Geraldine “it’s easy to get on in this US as a black person” Ferraro
ii) Hillary “he’s not a Muslim, as far as I know” Clinton
iii) Bill “Well, Jackson won South Carolina twice – get the butt on that intern” Clinton

      • Ulahane

Um. Muslim is religion not race.

I THINK the first one is a misquote. And unless you think Jackson didn’t win, you have to acknowledge that that comment was post loss spin and not race baiting.

And you think any of this compares with the Obama surrogates claiming racism every single time he looses? From New Hampshire screaming “Bradley effect,” to his recent losses which were blamed on “Archie Bunkers”. Worse he directly called the voters of Pennsylvania racist with his “antipathy toward people who aren’t like them” comment.

      • Thrasyboulos

Ya gotta admit, one thing the Obama Cult is good at is victim pimping.

        They can’t help it.

      • NY still loves Hillary

Trolls who feel they need to trash a former President of the United States with baseless crap like this really do deserve to be squashed in a rather painful way. He’s 61 years years old and has had major heart bypass surgery for heaven’s sake. Get over it.

As much as I may dislike things some former Presidents have done, I would never trash them like that. I was taught that you give the respect due to the office (and the fact that they served) to any and all former Presidents of this country. Guess they didn’t teach that at Troll skool. *wiping the slime off my screen now*

  • politicsIsdirty

Checked on MSNBC and Odonell together with her pundits guests were so happy to show the clip of Pres Clinton saying that “this will be the last campaign he will ever involved himself in”. They all HAPPILY concluded that Sen Clinton has thrown the towel.

For the sake of country, I hope not. If it is true, it will be the saddest day of my life.

  • It’s Not Me

    AWESOME NEWS!

ARG polls have been notoriously bad in the past though. Are there any other polls on the race or are the RW pollsters not polling because they know she’s ahead? Do I seem too cynical?

I do hope this is accurate! GO HILLARY!

The talking heads are trying their best to anoint the Messiah today. They’re foaming at the mouth!

I hope this posts. I’ve been unable to post here all day.

I’ve been saying this for weeks, Hillary ain’t no quitter!

Go to rezkowatch DOT blogspot DOT com to read the rest of this:

Bad news for Obama, Hillary’s not conceding

Ever since Saturday’s DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee backroom deal handing Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) delegates, when his name was not even on the ballot in Michigan because he removed it, MSM has been clamoring ceaselessly how it’s all over, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) is not only conceding to but also endorsing Sen. Obama.

Sorry, folks, but at 4:02 PM Eastern Time, Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee, while speaking to reporters at “the back of the press plane as Clinton flew from Rapid City to Sioux Falls, South Dakota,” said

“I think its pretty clear that she is not conceding.” Elleithee said, “I think its pretty clear that she is staying in this race. She is going, in the coming days, to be aggressively courting uncommitted superdelegates aggressively courting unpledged delegates, making the case to them that she is a candidate best ready to take on John McCain.”

When asked directly when Clinton will step aside, Elietthee told reporters, “as she has said dozens and dozens of times she is in this race until we have a nominee…Until there is a nominee she is going to try to win support.”

This is GREAT NEWS! Trolls you can bite me!

    • It’s Not Me

FOX is also doing the the end game dance, they have been going at it for a while now that she is going to close it up tomorrow.

I have never seen so many happy faces on FOX its celebration time, Hillary is bowing out, I wonder what the hell are they going to do for news now if that really happens.

Have you seen this brand new study over at TalkLeftdotcom? BO is a FRAUD!

    Link:
    http://www.talkleft.com/media/caucusjune2rev.pdf

    Some Findings:

    * 35.6 million people have voted
    * The 37 primary states account for 97% of the vote.
    * The 13 caucus states account for 3% of the vote.

Bottom line: Clinton’s lead is from 34.5 million voters (97%) in Primaries. Obama’s lead is from 1.1 million voters (3%) in caucuses.

  • Phil

This race has been more about cultural affinity than politics, all along. In fact, that’s what most races have been about over the last decade or so. Cultural identity is hardening, thus the conflict and dissension.

Obama’s problem is that he just doesn’t resonate. It’s NOT about party any more. Obama is too late to find that out; he WILL find out (assuming my party leaders [not for long though, I'm going Independent within months]) are dumb enough to nominate him).

I won’t get into the long list of reasons why I feel aggrieved, but suffice it to say that I will NEVER vote for Obama for President, even if Hillary is his VP. MILLIONS of voters – significantly represented in key swing states – will join me.

I will write Hillary in; others will not vote at all, vote for McCain, or vote 3rd party.

Obama will reap what he has sown.

I’m GONE from the Democratic party, along with at least a dozen people I know. And, oh yeah, we’re ALL very successful, multi-degreed, upper middle class urban professionals. Obama is in TROUBLE!

Last, how can anyone imagine his race-bating, sexist (look what she said about Hillary not being able to “control” her man), bitter, condescending wife as First Lady. And, I hear there’s ANOTHER video of loudmouth Michelle – with Louis Farrakhan on the dias – giving a very vitriolic “hate whitey” speech.

Obama has ALREADY lost. All John McCain has to do is show up.

  • David

On Hillary’s site someone had the website to go see if they are write in states. Go there ask

  • KarenAnn

Well all these stats are just dandy but the MSM etc have said that the rest of the SDs will come out for BO by the end of the week and therefore effectively he is now the nominee. The MSM, the DNC and the BO campaign now say that, ‘yes the Hillary supporters will be upset but they “WILL FALL IN LINE” and vote for BO in Nov. The fact that they are saying that they will vote for McCain is just the heat of the moment. I don’t know about anyone else but not only will I NOT FALL IN LINE but I REALLY RESENT being treated like an automaton that doesn’t have a brain, that I would blindly follow someone I truely think would do more harm than good to this country.
    Thank you.

    • It’s Not Me

Problem IS, he’s not the nominee until the votes are actually cast on the convention floor in August. Just because he anoints himself the nominee, that doesn’t make it so.

Poor delusional Obamarhoid. Poor delusional MSM.

  • POdVet

barbh: Thanks for the address, I will be sending a rather lengthy and probably a bit impolite letter to them.

As for the Vanity Fair piece on Bill…same old shit. It wouldn’t surprise me if the “source” had tried to get Bill to do something, and when that failed he started making shit up. Bill is obviously a bit weak when it comes to resisting women. I can understand that, and if you look back at what really happened, I believe you will see that Lewinsky was a carefully planned trap he fell into. How else do you explain her saving the dress with out washing it for months? I mean seriously ewww. I assume I am correct on that ladies…you are not in the habit of saving cum stained dresses are you? Then add in the FACT that after the smoke had cleared from the scandal, Ms Lewinsky sold her Watergate Condo to Bob Dole!
