I really hate being in the position of defending Obama but some of the statements made here are just too bizarre.

I’m still shaking my head at his alienation of law enforcement across the entire country. Not to get off topic but between that, the “cling to guns and bibles” comment and the ongoing BC issue just who trusts and loves this guy now? (Lefty Commie Pinko No-good &%#$&s, that’s who!) Some majority.

1. Natural Born Citizen or a Citizen of the U.S. at the Time of its Adoption of the Constitution in September 1787
2. At least 35 years of age
3. At least a 14 year resident of the U.S.

We know that Obama was not born in 1787 (because he states he was born in 1961) and therefore can’t meet being a Citizen of the U.S. at the time of the Adoption of the Constitution in 1787. So, he has to meet the requirement of being a Natural Born Citizen. Ok, To be a Natural Born Citizen under english Common law and adopted by the U.S. Supreme Court in U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) and U.S. v. Perkins (1939) you have to meet two requirements:

1. Born in the U.S. Mainland (e.g. 50 states or district of columbia)
2. Born to two American Citizens Parents (both mother and father must be U.S. Citizens)

Now, for the author of this piece saying that Obama is qualified, how can he be a Natural Born Citizen when his father, Barack H. Obama Sr., was a KENYAN NATIONAL (British citizen) at his birth on August 4, 1961?

Now, on November 30, 2007, Candidate Barack Obama signed two documents (one from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the other a Candidate Nomination form from the State of Arizona). These documents are registered with each state’s records office on December 13, 2007 at 3:01 respectively.

In these documents, Obama affirms that he meets the constitutional requirements of being a natural born citizen. (Check The Obama File Latest news for proof of the documents filed)

Under the definition (that Obama should know under constitutional law being from Harvard Law School), Obama does not qualify to be President of the U.S. because his dad was a Kenyan National and not a U.S. Citizen at birth.

So let’s get this straight, Larry Johnson, are you know stating that Obama meets the constitutional requirements under Article II Section 1 Clause 5 knowing that he would not be considered a natural born citizen because his father was a Kenyan National and not a U.S. Citizen?

The piece I read was written by someone who’d signed on to a marginal candidate’s run. The FEC and several states don’t have any kind of vetting process at all.

Our nation has never faced this type of candidate/now President before. Often, in terms of making law, it is spurred by events which have already occurred.

If you think about it, have any of us ever considered that an Obama situation could occur before being confronted by it now? (Even the Manchurian Candidate, a fictional storyline, didn’t include document forgery, etc.)

We’re in uncharted waters but that’s okay…we’re Americans and we’ve always handled what comes our way. Let not your heart be troubled!
